MACtion continues on Tuesday night for a 2nd straight week as the Toledo Rockets head up to Michigan to take on the Central Michigan Chippewas.
Both the Rockets and Chippewas currently sit tied for 2nd place in the MAC West with identical 4-1 records.
Central Michigan has already lost to Western Michigan, who sits at 5-0 atop the West standings, which means they will need help elsewhere, but also include a win against Toledo.
The Rockets get WMU the final week of the season meaning even with 1 loss, they can still win the West by winning out and getting 1 loss from NIU.
The Rockets found themselves in the Top 25 last week and controlled their own destiny in the MAC West.
However, NIU came from behind after getting injuries to their starting QB and star WR and really put a damper on the Rockets MAC fate.
Now, Toledo must win out essentially and get some help if they hope to obtain another MAC West title.
The Rockets racked up 427 yards of total offense, but had 3 costly turnovers in the loss including an interception on the final possession of the game to seal their fate. RB Kareem Hunt finished with 140 yards and a pair of touchdowns on 25 carries for the Rockets.
Hunt is averaging 97 yards per game, while RB Terry Swanson averages 103.2. The duo also has 3rd string Damion Jones-Moore adding to their running numbers as he is averaging 56.0 yards per game.
With their potent rushing attack, the Rockets are averaging 35.8 points per game.
The Chippewas won their 3rd straight game and have gotten themselves back in the MAC West race.
They too, will essentially need to win out and get some help in getting Western Michigan a loss to get a chance at a MAC title game. The Chippewas are finding ways to win games mostly because of their dominant defensive performances.
CMU is allowing just 21.7 points per game total and that number improves a lot at home as they’re allowing just 16.8 points against.
Central Michigan comes in after shutting out Akron in the 2nd half and holding them to just 6 points total in a 14-6 win.
QB Cooper Rush has done just enough offensively for CMU this season to lead them to a 5-4 record. Rush has thrown for 20 touchdowns to just 8 interceptions while leading an offense that averages 291.8 pass yards per game.
The Chippewas are 3-1 SU at home this year and 4-0 ATS.

Free Week 11 NCAA Football Prediction
Both teams MUST win this game or their MAC hopes will pretty much be put to rest. With the Chippewas being at home, CMU and the points is the safest way to go here. They’re hot as they’ve won 3 in a row and have been a solid ATS team at home.
4* Free NCAA Betting Pick: CMU ATS
