Two of the most consistent offenses in the FBS meet in the Belk Bowl as NC State collides with Mississippi State on Wednesday afternoon.

Both teams share a similar style in terms of their offensive scheme as they work with dual threat QBs who lead offenses that average over 400 yards and 33 points per game.
NC State
The Wolfpack alternated wins and losses over their final 7 games of the season with their most recent being a loss to arch rival North Carolina in the season finale.
Led by Jacoby Brissett, the Wolfpack were one of the more dangerous offenses in the ACC. Brissett compiled 2448 yards through the air to go along with 19 touchdowns. Brissett also added 303 yards on the ground with 5 rushing TDs.
Brissett’s most impressive feat was his ability to take care of the ball. Brissett had just 4 interceptions to his 19 thrown touchdown passes.

The Wolfpack did what was expected from them all year long. They used a weak non conference schedule to pile up wins and then would beat up on the lower tier ACC teams. While they don’t really have a flashy or signature win to show on their resume, they have never once played down to their opponent.
This will also work as a home game for the Wolfpack. They will be traveling a short distance to Charlotte and have 15 players from the area.
Mississippi State
Mississippi State worked in a similar way to the Wolfpack. They beat the teams they were supposed to beat, but don’t have that signature win to look back on.
Mississippi State’s losses came to LSU, Texas A&M, Alabama, and Ole Miss. Four teams who have solidified themselves in the top tier of the SEC.

Also like their counterpart, the Bulldogs offense works in the same way led by Dak Prescott. The dual threat QB threw for 3413 yards and had 25 touchdowns. He too, took care of the ball as he threw just 4 interceptions this season.
On the ground, Prescott rumbled for 541 yards and found the end zone 10 times.
Mississippi State has struggled recently in their bowl tenures. The Bulldogs dropped 2 of their last 3 and fell in the Orange Bowl last season to Georgia Tech 49-34. This appearance does mark their 6th in 7 seasons.
