09-18-23 | Browns v. Steelers +2 | Top | 22-26 | Win | 100 | 8 h 52 m | Show |
The Cleveland Browns have won in Week 1 before. They've dominated opponents the way they dominated the Cincinnati Bengals last week before. What they haven't done - at least not in the past 20 years during the regular season anyway - is beat the Pittsburgh Steelers on the road. Coaches change. Quarterbacks change. Uniforms change. Cleveland's futility at Acrisure Stadium - save for that cathartic first-round playoff win in 2020 - does not. The Browns (1-0) will walk onto the field looking to win in Pittsburgh (0-1) for the first time since 2003. And they'll do it under the lights of prime time with a chance to prove to a national audience their systematic beatdown of the Bengals in the opener was no fluke. |

09-18-23 | Saints v. Panthers OVER 39 | 20-17 | Loss | -110 | 7 h 4 m | Show
Bryce Young’s longest pass completion in Week 1 went for 14 yards. Panthers coach Frank Reich knows that needs to change Monday night when Carolina hosts the division-rival New Orleans Saints. Young, the No. 1 overall pick, was limited to 146 yards passing in a 24-10 loss to Atlanta and threw two interceptions and one touchdown in his pro debut. The lack of what Reich deems “chunk plays” in the passing game - considered gains of 20 or more yards - contributed to those poor numbers, as the Falcons repeatedly keyed on short throws over the middle while daring Young to beat them deep. Expect more offense from both teams tonight. |

09-18-23 | Saints -3 v. Panthers | Top | 20-17 | Push | 0 | 7 h 6 m | Show |
Bryce Young’s longest pass completion in Week 1 went for 14 yards. I think Young will play better but the Saints get the win and cover. |

09-17-23 | 49ers v. Rams OVER 45 | 30-23 | Win | 100 | 7 h 37 m | Show
Much of the focus for defenses trying to slow down the 49ers offense is on recent All-Pro skill players such as Christian McCaffrey, Deebo Samuel and George Kittle. Receiver Brandon Aiyuk is showing he warrants plenty of attention, too: He built on his first 1,000-yard season in 2022 with a strong opener, catching all eight of his targets for 129 yards and two TDs against Pittsburgh. |
|||||||
09-17-23 | Colts v. Texans | Top | 31-20 | Loss | -110 | 4 h 43 m | Show |
Indy’s running game struggled mightily last week without the top two backs, 2021 NFL rushing champion Jonathan Taylor and Zack Moss. Richardson had 10 carries for 40 yards, while the rest of the team logged 16 carries for 25 yards. It could be more of the same this week. While the disgruntled Taylor (ankle) is on the physically unable to perform and is out until at least Week 5, Moss’ status is unclear. He broke his right arm during training camp and didn’t return to practice until last week then was inactive for the Jacksonville game. Steichen wouldn’t even hint at whether Moss might play in Houston. |

09-17-23 | Chargers v. Titans +3 | Top | 24-27 | Win | 100 | 3 h 29 m | Show |
Ryan Tannehill debuted as the Tennessee Titans' starting quarterback in October 2019 with a b ig win over the Los Angeles Chargers in Music City. The veteran desperately needs a repeat performance Sunday against the same team in the Titans' home opener. Tannehill posted his worst passer rating in Tennessee's 16-15 loss in New Orleans, which also marked just the third game of his career and first since his rookie season with three interceptions and no touchdown passes. The 35-year-old quarterback in the final year of his deal watched the tape five times. We expect there to be a bounceback this week |
|||||||
09-16-23 | Kansas v. Nevada UNDER 58.5 | Top | 31-24 | Win | 100 | 14 h 20 m | Show |
It's hard to build a case that 28-point underdog Nevada can give visiting Kansas a legitimate test on Saturday night, even if the Jayhawks' depth chart suggests otherwise. Starting cornerback Cobee Bryant and defensive end Austin Booker must sit out the first half of their game in Reno after being ejected from last week's 34-23 win over Illinois for targeting penalties. In addition, quarterback Jalon Daniels, running back Devin Neal and wide receiver Luke Grimm practiced sparingly on Sunday, according to coach Lance Leipold. The trio sustained injuries against Illinois, although Leipold said Daniels was able to do more in practice than the other two. |
|||||||
09-16-23 | Miami-OH v. Cincinnati UNDER 44 | Top | 31-24 | Loss | -110 | 11 h 53 m | Show |
Cincinnati is led by former Arizona State (2022) and Florida (2018-21) quarterback Emory Jones. He has a completion percentage of 75.5 for 470 yards with seven touchdowns and an interception. Cincinnati averages 46.5 points per game, while Miami averages just 22.0. The RedHawks are coming off an exhausting 41-28 road win at UMass on Saturday, enduring 5 hours, 35 minutes of lightning-related delays. The game was scheduled to begin at 3:32 p.m. It ended at 12:28 a.m. Sunday. This total couldn't be begging the public more to take the over, we're not falling for that. |
|||||||
09-16-23 | Alabama -32.5 v. South Florida | 17-3 | Loss | -115 | 8 h 44 m | Show
No. 10 Alabama failed its first big test of the season and will attempt to achieve a higher grade on Saturday when it faces South Florida in non-conference play at Tampa, Fla. The Crimson Tide fell 34-24 at home to then-No. 11 Texas last weekend, a setback that delivered a big blow to Alabama's national championship aspirations. Alabama quarterback Jalen Milroe was just 14-of-27 passing but totaled 299 yards (255 passing, 44 rushing) against Texas while displaying progress. He has passed for 449 yards and five touchdowns, with two interceptions, in two games and also has two rushing scores and a team-high 92 yards on the ground. South Florida has a new coach in Alex Golesh, who is very familiar to the Crimson Tide. Golesh was offensive coordinator at Tennessee last season when the Volunteers notched a 52-49 home win over Alabama. Golesh doesn't have similar talent this time around but is planning to use the game as a measuring stick. |
|||||||
09-16-23 | Louisville v. Indiana UNDER 50.5 | Top | 21-14 | Win | 100 | 4 h 8 m | Show |
It's no surprise to see a Jeff Brohm-coached team scoring a lot of points. His Louisville squad is lighting up the scoreboard, following up a 39-34 season-opening win at Georgia Tech on Sept. 1 by blanking FCS opponent Murray State 56-0 on Sept. 7. The Cardinals (2-0) step up in class on Saturday with a trip to Indianapolis for a non-conference matchup with Indiana (1-1). The Hoosiers' defense has looked very good in holding No. 6 Ohio State to 23 points and stifling FCS foe Indiana State on Sept. 8. Louisville has shown a good run-pass balance so far. Cal transfer Jack Plummer threw for 247 yards and a touchdown against Murray State, while running back Jawhar Jordan piled up 135 yards and a pair of scores on just seven carries. Indiana quiets down the Louisville offense |

09-15-23 | Virginia v. Maryland -14.5 | Top | 14-42 | Win | 100 | 5 h 9 m | Show |
Maryland moved to the Big Ten in 2014 and storied rivalries with longtime ACC opponents, particularly Virginia, went by the wayside. The Cavaliers and Terrapins reconvene for the first time since 2013 when Maryland (2-0) hosts Virginia (0-2) under the lights on Friday in College Park, Md. A fast start is the focus of the Terps after stumbling out of the gate last Saturday against Charlotte. Maryland entered as a 24.5-point favorite, but trailed 14-0 less than four minutes into the contest, didn't score a touchdown in the first half and only led by three entering the fourth quarter. The Terps eventually pulled away with three touchdowns in the fourth, including Roman Hemby's 15-yard scamper that sealed Maryland's 38-20 victory. |
|||||||
09-14-23 | Vikings v. Eagles OVER 49 | Top | 28-34 | Win | 100 | 17 h 47 m | Show |
After ranking second-to-last in the NFL in yards allowed and giving up the fourth-most points in the league last season under defensive coordinator Ed Donatell, the Vikings turned to Flores and turned over more than half of their starting lineup. The early results for Minnesota weren’t terribly promising - the defense allowed a fourth down conversion to extend Tampa Bay’s drive for the tiebreaking field goal and later let the Buccaneers drain the final 3:52 off the clock Sunday with a 15-yard facemask penalty and two third down conversions for a 20-17 victory. Expect both offenses to be better this week. |
|||||||
09-14-23 | Vikings v. Eagles -6 | Top | 28-34 | Push | 0 | 17 h 44 m | Show |
Jalen Hurts skipped the preseason, the NFL MVP runner-up is simply too important to risk an injury to play a meaningless snap. He also knows how to run an offense, putting up some of the best all-around numbers by a Philadelphia Eagles quarterback in franchise history. He even led the Eagles to the Super Bowl, a feat sure to be recognized at Thursday’s home opener against the Minnesota Vikings. But maybe, just maybe, even with training camp and joint practices and offseason workouts, the preseason games on the sideline might have thrown off Hurts a bit says the national media. We don't belive that to be true. Eagles roll. |
|||||||
09-14-23 | Navy v. Memphis -14 | Top | 24-28 | Loss | -110 | 16 h 8 m | Show |
Memphis has played in two uncompetitive games so far this season and is a significant favorite against the Midshipmen (1-1). But Thursday is another opportunity for the Tigers (2-0) to build momentum before they embark on a three-game stretch against Missouri, Boise State, and Tulane. |
|||||||
09-14-23 | Navy v. Memphis OVER 46 | Top | 24-28 | Win | 100 | 16 h 5 m | Show |
Memphis coaches said they've seen changes to the offense under Newberry, which means there's yet another wrinkle to prepare when playing Navy. Quarterback Tai Lavatai attempted 13 passes in Saturday's 24-0 win over Wagner, completing eight for 161 yards and a touchdown. He also rushed 16 times for 65 yards. As a team, the Midshipmen ran the ball 44 times for 245 yards. Silverfield has repeatedly talked about Memphis' depth this season, and that'll be a major factor Thursday (especially on the defensive line). Defensive coordinator Matt Barnes is in his second season with the Tigers and saw the Navy offense last season in Annapolis, so there's some familiarity. That game ended in a 37-13 blowout win for Memphis. |

09-11-23 | Bills v. Jets +2 | 16-22 | Win | 100 | 31 h 57 m | Show
Aaron Rodgers has won his last nine starts when playing on Monday Night Football. Since the program began in 1970, only two quarterbacks have had longer such win streaks -- Ken Stabler (11 from 1975-80) and Steve Young (10 from 1995-99) |
|||||||
09-11-23 | Bills v. Jets UNDER 45.5 | Top | 16-22 | Win | 100 | 31 h 60 m | Show |
Aaron Rodgers and the New York Jets have worked all spring and summer to get to this moment. So has Damar Hamlin. When the Jets square off against the Buffalo Bills on "Monday Night Football" at MetLife Stadium, it will mark the next step of two fascinating journeys. In front of a national TV audience and on the 22nd anniversary of the Sept. 11 attacks. Rodgers will make his highly anticipated regular-season debut for the Jets, who acquired the four-time NFL MVP from the Green Bay Packers in April. The game also will mark the Jets debut of running back Dalvin Cook, who was signed by New York during training camp to bolster its backfield behind Rodgers. Cook — whose brother James will be on the other sideline — spent his first six seasons with Minnesota and ran for at least 1,100 yards the last four years, but he was a salary cap cut this offseason. Cook had offseason shoulder surgery and started practicing with the Jets only right before the season. But he feels healthy and prepared to give New York a 1-2 punch at running back in new coordinator Nathaniel Hackett's offense with Breece Hall, who's returning from a knee injury that cut short his promising rookie season. |
|||||||
09-10-23 | Raiders v. Broncos OVER 43 | 17-16 | Loss | -110 | 27 h 18 m | Show
The Denver Broncos will watch running back Javonte Williams ' workload as he continues his comeback from a major knee injury that cost him most of last season. They don't expect the Las Vegas Raiders to similarly ease the league's reigning rushing champion back into action after Josh Jacobs' protracted contract dispute kept him out most of the summer. The AFC West foes kick off their seasons at Empower Field with the Broncos trying to snap a six-game losing streak to the Raiders. It's a skid many fans feel is more painful than Denver's 15-game losing streak to the Chiefs because, well, Kansas City is good, at least. The Raiders have been bad for a while. They're coming off their fourth losing season in six years. The Broncos have been even worse, posting six straight losing seasons while churning through coaches and quarterbacks. |
|||||||
09-10-23 | Texans +9.5 v. Ravens | Top | 9-25 | Loss | -110 | 24 h 60 m | Show |
The Ravens made some important moves of their own this offseason, although the biggest possible change — Jackson leaving — didn't happen. Baltimore signed its franchise quarterback to a new five-year deal and gave him a couple significant new targets in Odell Beckham Jr. and first-round pick Zay Flowers. Still, it's the Texans who are coming off the bigger offseason overhaul, and they can only hope it will start paying dividends soon. Their first challenge is a trip to Baltimore, where they've never won in six tries. I just think I'm not in the mood to lay almost 10 points in the first week. |
|||||||
09-10-23 | Bengals v. Browns +2.5 | Top | 3-24 | Win | 100 | 24 h 50 m | Show |
In just three seasons, he's taken the NFL by storm, leading Cincinnati to an unexpected Super Bowl appearance and consecutive AFC title games while establishing himself as one of the league's elite quarterbacks. Only 26, and there's hardly a flaw on his resume. Except for his record against the Browns. Burrow, who returned to practice this week after missing more than a month with a strained calf, is just 1-4 against AFC North rival Cleveland heading into Sunday's season opener, when he'll match up with Deshaun Watson and a defense that has had his number so far. Although his stats have been pretty solid - completing 66.2% of his passes with 10 touchdowns - Burrow has been a loser against the Browns. He's 23-13-1 versus everyone else. |
|||||||
09-09-23 | Stanford +29.5 v. USC | Top | 10-56 | Loss | -110 | 14 h 42 m | Show |
Stanford (1-0) poses a bigger test for that USC defense this weekend. Last week, in a 37-24 victory over Hawaii, the Cardinal rolled up 406 yards of offense in a balanced attack. Quarterback Ashton Daniels played well in his first career start, completing 25 of 36 passes with 248 yards and two touchdowns. Daniels also was active on the ground, rushing 11 times for 42 yards. Daniels already seems to have found a favorite target in senior tight end Benjamin Yurosek, who had nine catches for 138 yards and a touchdown against the Rainbow Warriors. It was his career high in receiving yards and one catch away from tying his personal best in catches. Stanford first-year coach Troy Taylor has to earn his money to return the once-illustrious program to its winning ways. The Cardinal has a 14-28 record in the last four seasons but made a statement in their season-opening win. |
|||||||
09-09-23 | SMU v. Oklahoma -15.5 | Top | 11-28 | Win | 100 | 9 h 16 m | Show |
The Mustangs (1-0) will visit No. 18 Oklahoma (1-0) on Saturday in Norman, and both teams are coming off decisive season-opening wins: The Sooners blasted Arkansas State 73-0 -- outgaining the Red Wolves 642-208 -- and the Mustangs handled Louisiana Tech 38-14 with a balanced offensive attack. Oklahoma's defense struggled last season, and while its remade unit certainly looked better in the opener, SMU's offense figures to offer a stiffer challenge. The Sooners added Michigan transfer Andrel Anthony, who had three catches for 66 yards in the opener, as well as freshman Jaquaize Pettaway, who led Oklahoma with nine catches. |
|||||||
09-09-23 | Eastern Kentucky v. Kentucky -35 | 17-28 | Loss | -110 | 6 h 23 m | Show
Kentucky won its season opener, although coach Mark Stoops repeatedly said he was "aggravated" by his squad's performance in front of its home crowd. The Wildcats (1-0) will have a chance to improve when they host Eastern Kentucky (0-1) on Saturday afternoon in Lexington, Ky. Despite beating Ball State 44-14 -- a margin that appeared wider due to a 30-yard touchdown run by Ray Davis with six seconds left -- Stoops expressed displeasure with his side in its showing against the Cardinals. The Wildcats trailed 7-3 after the first quarter. Look for the cats to flex today. |
|||||||
09-09-23 | Purdue v. Virginia Tech -2 | Top | 24-17 | Loss | -110 | 4 h 32 m | Show |
The quarterback matchup should be intriguing when nonconference foes Purdue and host Virginia Tech meet for a noon ET kickoff Saturday in Blacksburg. Purdue has a new face to its program at quarterback but certainly not a new face to college football. Hudson Card played three seasons at Texas before transferring to Purdue, and the redshirt junior seemed to fit in well in his first start with the Boilermakers. Purdue lost its season opener at home to Fresno State 39-35, but Card went 17 of 30 passing for 254 yards, two touchdowns and no interceptions. Defense was the biggest issue for the Boilermakers as they gave up 371 yards passing. Purdue next faces an experienced quarterback in Virginia Tech starter Grant Wells, who is coming off a good debut. Wells, a redshirt senior, went 17 of 29 for 251 yards and three touchdowns in a 36-17 home win over Old Dominion. |

09-08-23 | Stony Brook v. Rhode Island OVER 53.5 | 14-35 | Loss | -110 | 7 h 8 m | Show
09-08-23 | Indiana State v. Indiana OVER 44.5 | Top | 7-41 | Win | 100 | 7 h 14 m | Show |
09-08-23 | Indiana State v. Indiana -29.5 | Top | 7-41 | Win | 100 | 7 h 1 m | Show |
Indiana (0-1) put up more than a fight in an opening weekend loss to No. 3 Ohio State, a 23-3 defeat but a game that was there for the taking in the second half when the Hoosiers trailed 10-3. Indiana is no stranger to Indiana State or the Sycamores head coach since 2017, Curt Mallory, the youngest son of former Indiana coach Bill Mallory who played football at Michigan. Allen and Curt Mallory are close and have talked consistently since the pandemic, making the pregame greeting between the two coaches more of a thoughtful recognition of mutual respect. |
|||||||
09-07-23 | Lions +5 v. Chiefs | Top | 21-20 | Win | 100 | 35 h 35 m | Show |
Travis Kelce hyperextended his knee during the Chiefs' final practice before their opener against Detroit, leaving the status of the All-Pro tight end in question when Kansas City faces the Lions on Thursday night at Arrowhead Stadium. Chiefs coach Andy Reid said the injury occurred during their final full workout Tuesday but provided no other details. Players in the locker room said Kelce was hurt on a play in the red zone but was able to limp off the field on his own according to Dave Skaretta from the AP. I liked Detroit before the injury, you have to like them even more now. |

09-07-23 | Lions v. Chiefs UNDER 53 | Top | 21-20 | Win | 100 | 34 h 27 m | Show |
09-07-23 | Murray State v. Louisville -40 | Top | 0-56 | Win | 100 | 34 h 57 m | Show |
Louisville received good marks for its first game under head coach Jeff Brohm. Now the Cardinals try to treat the program's former star quarterback to success in his home debut. Louisville takes on Murray State on Thursday night. These teams last met in 2017, with the Cardinals owning a 14-6 mark overall and 11-4 at home. Murray State hasn't toppled a Football Bowl Subdivision team since knocking off Louisville 26-23 in 1984 when the divisions were NCAA I-A and I-AA. |
|||||||
09-07-23 | Murray State v. Louisville UNDER 54 | Top | 0-56 | Loss | -115 | 34 h 51 m | Show |
The Cardinals annihilate the Racers, and let the foot off the gas just long enough to sneak under the total. |
|||||||
09-04-23 | Clemson v. Duke +13 | Top | 7-28 | Win | 100 | 7 h 6 m | Show |
For Duke, it's an opportunity to show that last year's campaign -- the first under coach Mike Elko -- wasn't a fluke. The Blue Devils went 9-4 under Elko, their highest win total since 2014 and just the seventh time in program history that they won at least nine games. A victory over Clemson -- which has long dominated the league -- would go along way in boosting expectations and credibility for Duke. On defense, Clemson has to replace four NFL draft picks but will still be anchored by stellar linebacker duo Barrett Carter and Jeremiah Trotter Jr., who combined for 24 tackles for losses last year. Duke returns its fair share of standouts, too, including 98 percent of its offensive production. Junior quarterback Riley Leonard is back under center after totaling 33 touchdowns and more than 3,600 yards of total offense last season. On defense, the Blue Devils bring back defensive lineman DeWayne Carter and safety Brandon Johnson, each of whom had 5.5 sacks last season. Fifth-year senior Ja'Mion Franklin -- who had three sacks and five pass breakups last season -- joins Carter as an anchor on the defensive front. |
|||||||
09-03-23 | LSU v. Florida State +2.5 | Top | 24-45 | Win | 100 | 26 h 25 m | Show |
Each offense features a dynamic quarterback -- Jayden Daniels of the Tigers and the Seminoles' Jordan Travis, both of whom threw two touchdown passes in last year's meeting. This isn't just the second consecutive season that the Tigers and Seminoles have met early, but it's the third consecutive season that Kelly's team and Norvell's team have near the outset. Kelly's Notre Dame team defeated Norvell's Seminoles 41-38 in overtime in the 2021 opener in Tallahassee, Fla. Both schools have been keeping a close eye on Idalia, the tropical storm that was forecast to become a strong hurricane and hit Florida on Wednesday. |
|||||||
09-03-23 | Oregon State -15.5 v. San Jose State | 42-17 | Win | 100 | 22 h 28 m | Show
A once highly touted quarterback gets a chance to put a new spin on the narrative around his college football career in what amounts to a fresh start with No. 18 Oregon State. The first chance for former Clemson signal-caller D.J. Uiagalelei arrives Sunday afternoon when the Beavers open their regular season in a nonconference match on the road against San Jose State (0-1). Uiagalelei spent three seasons at Clemson, starting 28 games and appearing in 36 overall. He showed flashes of his great potential but ultimately entered the transfer portal as the Tigers failed to achieve the same success as they did under previous top quarterback Trevor Lawrence. Oregon State gladly offered a landing spot for Uiagalelei and confirmed his starting role this week. |
|||||||
09-03-23 | Northwestern v. Rutgers -5.5 | Top | 7-24 | Win | 100 | 19 h 2 m | Show |
While the Wildcats ranked last in the West Division in Cleveland.com's annual Big Ten media poll, Rutgers at least beat out Indiana for sixth in the East Division. The Scarlet Knights are aiming higher and hope to benefit from stability at quarterback. Gavin Wimsatt was named Rutgers' starter before fall camp even opened. The former four-star recruit was an early enrollee in 2021 and saw the field in fits and starts in 2022 while nursing an injury. |

09-02-23 | Albany v. Marshall OVER 46.5 | 17-21 | Loss | -110 | 7 h 32 m | Show
09-02-23 | Portland State v. Oregon -48 | 7-81 | Win | 100 | 4 h 36 m | Show
Among the returners for Oregon this year is quarterback Bo Nix, who is entering his second year with the Ducks and his fifth season of college football. Nix came to Oregon after spending three seasons at Auburn. Last season was statistically his best as a passer. Nix threw for 3,593 yards and 29 touchdowns while completing 71.9 percent of his throws. He also rushed for 510 yards and 14 scores and finished fifth in all of FBS and second in the Pac-12 for total touchdowns with 44. Look for Nix and the Ducks to have a massive day |

09-02-23 | Arkansas State +36.5 v. Oklahoma | Top | 0-73 | Loss | -110 | 1 h 41 m | Show |
09-01-23 | Stanford v. Hawaii +3 | Top | 37-24 | Loss | -110 | 13 h 31 m | Show |
The Troy Taylor era at Stanford will start Friday at Hawaii with uncertainty, not only because of the Cardinal's potential move to the ACC, but because the new coach will not announce his starting quarterback before the game. With former starter Tanner McKee now in the NFL, Taylor is deciding between early enrollee Myles Jackson, Ari Patu, Ashton Daniels and Syracuse transfer Justin Lamson. Until i see consistent QB play from the Cardinal, I'll go against them. |

09-01-23 | Miami-OH v. Miami-FL UNDER 45.5 | 3-38 | Win | 100 | 9 h 57 m | Show
Defensively, the RedHawks return seven starters from a unit that led the MAC in fewest points allowed (22.6). The biggest loss was starting cornerback John Saunders, who bolted to Ole Miss. He could be replaced by Southern Cal transfer Jayden Williams. |
|||||||
09-01-23 | Miami-OH +17 v. Miami-FL | Top | 3-38 | Loss | -110 | 9 h 3 m | Show |
Coming off a disappointing 5-7 season in their debut under coach Mario Cristobal, the Hurricanes will open their 2023 season at home on Friday night against the Miami (Ohio) RedHawks in Miami Gardens, Fla. The Hurricanes, favored by 17 points, are led by quarterback Tyler Van Dyke, who is back for his third season as the starter. Slowed by injuries last year, Van Dyke for his career has completed 62.5 percent of his passes for 4,766 yards, 35 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions in 21 games (17 starts). The RedHawks gained transfer wide receiver Gage Larvadain, who caught 95 passes for 1,252 yards and seven touchdowns in two years for an FCS program, Southeastern Louisiana. The RedHawks also brought in two other potential starters from the transfer portal: ex-Notre Dame receiver Joe Wilkins Jr. and former Kentucky center John Young, who will join three returning RedHawks starters on the offensive line. Defensively, the RedHawks return seven starters from a unit that led the MAC in fewest points allowed (22.6). The biggest loss was starting cornerback John Saunders, who bolted to Ole Miss. He could be replaced by Southern Cal transfer Jayden Williams. |

08-31-23 | Nebraska v. Minnesota OVER 42.5 | 10-13 | Loss | -110 | 10 h 24 m | Show
The latest Nebraska reboot begins Thursday night when the Cornhuskers visit Minnesota to open the 2023 season in a Big Ten Conference game in Minneapolis. Matt Rhule is the program's fourth full-time head coach in the past decade, taking over for Scott Frost, who was fired midway through the 2022 campaign after going 16-31 in four-plus seasons. Rhule returned to college after two-plus years coaching the NFL's Carolina Panthers, but he has experience in rebuilding collegiate programs with successful turnarounds at Temple and Baylor. Nebraska is coming off a 4-8 season in 2022, one in which it lost five games by one score. Minnesota went 9-4 last year and won five of its final six games, including a victory over Syracuse in the Pinstripe Bowl. The Golden Gophers have made bowl games in four of six seasons under P.J. Fleck, who is 44-27 with the school, and his three nine-win seasons are tied for second most in school history. |

08-31-23 | Florida v. Utah OVER 43.5 | Top | 11-24 | Loss | -110 | 10 h 8 m | Show |
Florida brings a new-to-them, experienced quarterback to Salt Lake City on Thursday night where seething No. 14 Utah stands ready to exact a measure of revenge for the Gators' 32-29 upset of the Utes in the 2022 opener. Only eight starters are back from the 2022 Florida team that beat ranked Utah last September, but an influx of transfers means UF is hardly inexperienced. The Gators introduce Graham Mertz, a transfer from Wisconsin, as the QB1 on Thursday night alongside a powerful companion that might be the more important crutch at Rice-Eccles Stadium. That would be the Gators' running game, which overpowered Utah in last year's tussle. Florida gained a program-record 531 rushing yards and then-quarterback Anthony Richardson scored three TDs. Richardson was the No. 4 pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, which is where Mertz fits into the plot line. But the Gators welcome back the running back tandem of Montrell Johnson Jr. and Trevor Etienne, who combined for 16 TDs last season, to offer proven production and continuity. |

02-12-23 | Chiefs v. Eagles UNDER 50.5 | Top | 38-35 | Loss | -110 | 176 h 6 m | Show |
The under is 5-1 in the Chiefs' last 6 vs. a team with a winning record, while the Under is 60-27 in the Eagles' last 87 games after scoring more than 30 points in their previous game. |
|||||||
01-29-23 | Bengals v. Chiefs UNDER 48.5 | 20-23 | Win | 100 | 30 h 12 m | Show
The Kansas City Chiefs have lost three straight games to the Cincinnati Bengals, including last year's AFC title game, when they blew an early 21-3 lead in an overtime defeat before a sea of stunned fans inside Arrowhead Stadium. Patrick Mahomes, who expects to lead the Chiefs against the Bengals on a sprained right ankle in Sunday night's rematch, is likewise winless against Bengals counterpart Joe Burrow, the only quarterback to have beaten him three straight times. In other words, there's a reason the AFC North champions are imbued with a certain degree of confidence as they return to Kansas City, where the burgeoning rivals will once again determine who represents the AFC in the Super Bowl. "Your preparation leads to confidence. That's just what you see from Joe and all of our players," explained the even-keeled Bengals coach Zac Taylor, who has somehow out-schemed, out-coached, and gotten his team to out-execute Andy Reid and his Chiefs over the past 13 months. "So when they walk on the field on Sunday, they're relaxed." In fact, the Bengals are so confident that some have taken to calling the Chiefs' home "Burrowhead Stadium." Which, as you can imagine, doesn't sit well with the AFC West champs. |

01-29-23 | 49ers +2.5 v. Eagles | 7-31 | Loss | -100 | 27 h 5 m | Show
The late-game meltdowns stick in San Francisco. Take the Super Bowl against Kansas City following the 2019 season. The 49ers became the third team in Super Bowl history to cough up a 10-point lead in the second half and lost to the Chiefs. Or last season's NFC title game, when a 17-7 lead unraveled because of a dropped interception, a conservative fourth-down call, and an interception on the final drive. Winner, Rams. Another blown opportunity at a championship that's hard to forget. "As you go back to last year, we were a couple of plays away from making it to the Super Bowl again," wide receiver Deebo Samuel said. "What's it really going to take for us to get there? We just have to minimize the mistakes and everybody has to be on their assignments." Near perfection. That's a pretty heady task for any team, much less one headed into Philadelphia, where the cold, an MVP finalist, and the top-seeded team in the NFC await. It's going to get crazy loud - or is it crazy and loud? - at Lincoln Financial Field. The 49ers say they're ready. They have won 12 straight games, including seven in a row since rookie Brock Purdy, a seventh-round draft pick, took over at quarterback after Jimmy Garoppolo was injured. |

01-22-23 | Bengals +6 v. Bills | 27-10 | Win | 100 | 2 h 36 m | Show
Joe Mixon and the Cincinnati Bengals feel disrespected. Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills have plenty to motivate them - starting with safety Damar Hamlin's remarkable recovery - in a season of overcoming adversity. Two teams that bonded three weeks ago in Cincinnati in deciding their since-canceled game could not proceed after Hamlin went into cardiac arrest and needed to be resuscitated on the field have much to prove in an AFC divisional-round playoff showdown in Buffalo on Sunday. For the Bills, the mere sight of Hamlin making regular visits to their facility this week was uplifting. What's more, the Bills believe they're battle-tested and capable of surmounting any remaining obstacles to achieve their preseason Super Bowl aspirations. |
|||||||
01-22-23 | Bengals v. Bills UNDER 48.5 | 27-10 | Win | 100 | 2 h 34 m | Show
The Bills have weathered two winter storms that disrupted their schedule, mourned the death of tight end Dawson Knox's younger brother Luke in August, and rallied to their community's aid in the aftermath of a racist shooting that left 10 Black people dead at a Buffalo supermarket in May. Hamlin's collapse and recovery is but the latest - and most personal. In Cincinnati, Mixon might speak for all the Bengals in expressing his unhappiness over his team getting the short end of the stick from the NFL. Already annoyed over the Bengals being placed at a disadvantage to finish higher than the AFC's third seed, Mixon added another chip to his broad shoulders this week once the NFL began selling tickets for a potential Bills-Kansas City Chiefs matchup in the AFC championship game, which would be played in Atlanta. "To be honest, it's disrespectful," Mixon said, after the NFL's ruling to go to a neutral site kicked in once the Bills (13-3) finished the season a half-game behind Kansas City (14-3). The Bengals (12-4) were left out of the picture even though they defeated the Chiefs this season, and missed out on their opportunity to pass the Bills in the standings once their game was called off. An AFC championship between the Bengals and Chiefs will instead be played at Kansas City. |

01-21-23 | Giants +8 v. Eagles | Top | 7-38 | Loss | -110 | 10 h 3 m | Show |
Take a look at all the good fortune the Philadelphia Eagles have enjoyed ahead of their postseason opener and it's no wonder they're feeling great about a Super Bowl run. Jalen Hurts is healthy (enough) after the Pro Bowl quarterback missed two games late in the year with a sprained right shoulder. All-Pro right tackle Lane Johnson was left off the injury report Thursday for the first time since he suffered a torn adductor late last month. The NFC postseason runs through the Linc. The Eagles went 2-0 this season against the New York Giants, their NFC East rivals who will be visiting on Saturday night. And they are the No. 1 seed in the NFC. Life is good in Philly. |
|||||||
01-16-23 | Cowboys v. Bucs +3 | Top | 31-14 | Loss | -120 | 9 h 34 m | Show |
Tom Brady led the Tampa Bay Buccaneers down a winding path to the playoffs. Dak Prescott helped the Dallas Cowboys weather significant challenges on their way to the postseason. The star quarterbacks meet Monday night in an NFC wild-card game, and they are hoping the regular-season adversity will pave the way to a Super Bowl run. "Everyone works hard to get to this point. There are no more second chances," said the 45-year-old Brady, who has the Bucs (8-9) in the hunt for a second title in three years despite finishing the regular season with a losing record for the first time in more than two decades as an NFL starter. "It's going to be hard, but we're battle-tested," the seven-time Super Bowl champion added. "We've had some tough games. Some we came back from. Some we haven't. But ... close won't be good enough going forward for anybody." Perhaps no team enters the playoffs under more of a microscope than Dallas (12-5), which lost Prescott for five games after he broke his right thumb during a season-opening loss to Tampa Bay, but remained in contention for the best record in the NFC until last weekend. |
|||||||
01-15-23 | Ravens v. Bengals UNDER 40.5 | Top | 17-24 | Loss | -110 | 9 h 26 m | Show |
The Bengals and Ravens play for the second consecutive week - and the third time this season - on Sunday night in a wild-card playoff game. The AFC North rivals know each other pretty well by now. "They know what we try to do on offense, we know what they try to do on defense," Cincinnati quarterback Joe Burrow said. "So they try to take away our bread-and-butter stuff, and they're pretty good at it." But it's the playoffs, so there's bound to be some surprises and extra intensity when the teams meet again in Cincinnati on Sunday night. Baltimore is especially motivated after going 8-9 last season and missing the playoffs for the first time in four seasons, then watching the Bengals make a Super Bowl run. |
|||||||
01-14-23 | Chargers v. Jaguars +2.5 | Top | 30-31 | Win | 100 | 9 h 42 m | Show |
Trevor Lawrence feels as if he's been in the playoffs the past two months. Lawrence and the Jacksonville Jaguars were 3-7 and four games behind division-leading Tennessee in late November. It was clear they needed to find ways to start winning close games. Lawrence easily could have panicked or even packed it in. Instead, he and the Jaguars picked it up and won six of seven down the stretch, clinching the AFC South and returning to the playoffs for the first time since 2017. Now, Lawrence will make his official postseason debut when the Jaguars (9-8) host fellow playoff newcomer Justin Herbert and the Los Angeles Chargers (10-7) in a wild-card game Saturday night. It could be the first of many postseason trips for two of the NFL's youngest rising stars. |
|||||||
01-09-23 | TCU v. Georgia UNDER 63 | 7-65 | Loss | -110 | 177 h 42 m | Show
This has always been a good spot to play the under, especially after the Horned Frogs are coming off a less than stellar performance on defense, which giving up 45 to Michigan qualifies. The under is 5-1 in the Bulldogs' last 6 bowl games. |
|||||||
01-08-23 | Giants v. Eagles -14 | 16-22 | Loss | -110 | 48 h 27 m | Show
Here's a familiar refrain these days around Philly: All the Eagles have to do is win one game and they are the NFC East champions, hold the No. 1 seed in the NFC, have a postseason bye and own home-field advantage in the playoffs. The Eagles couldn't reach those goals two weeks ago when they lost at Dallas. They flopped with those prizes at stake last week at home in a debacle against New Orleans. The Eagles (13-3) are out of fourth and fifth chances in the regular season to make up for another loss. With a loss Sunday to the playoff-bound New York Giants - a team the Eagles smoked 48-22 last month - Philadelphia opens the door for Dallas or San Francisco to potentially snag the top seed in the conference. There are myriad scenarios involved that could make that happen - and all start with an Eagles' loss at Lincoln Financial Field. |
|||||||
01-08-23 | Ravens +7 v. Bengals | 16-27 | Loss | -110 | 123 h 8 m | Show
The Ravens haven't been great head-to-head against the Bengals over the last few years but they do have a tendency to play well after a poor offensive performance. We saw the 7.5 this morning and we're grabbing that before it's gone. |
|||||||
01-08-23 | Ravens v. Bengals OVER 39.5 | 16-27 | Win | 100 | 46 h 40 m | Show
This is one of those games where every trend will tell you that the under is the play here, especially when you look at the recent Bengals trends. This is where experience has to come into play. The number is begging you to take the under, but we're banking on a better effort from the Ravens on offense to push this game into the winners' circle. |
|||||||
01-08-23 | Browns v. Steelers OVER 39.5 | 14-28 | Win | 100 | 45 h 21 m | Show
When November began, the Pittsburgh Steelers were lifeless and listless at 2-6, searching for a chance to get back to "respectability," as longtime coach Mike Tomlin put it. The Steelers did more than that over the following two months. They've entered the final week of what once appeared to be a lost season with an outside chance at making the playoffs. The only people not stunned by a second-half surge, which seemed unlikely on Halloween night, be the guys in black and gold who will host Cleveland on Sunday. Pittsburgh (8-8) needs a victory over the Browns (7-9) and losses by Miami and New England to reach the playoffs for a third straight year. |
|||||||
01-07-23 | Titans v. Jaguars OVER 38.5 | 16-20 | Loss | -110 | 129 h 18 m | Show
We wanted to jump on this game early in hopes of getting the best number. Once the total dropped a point, we had to get in on it early. This is a situation the Jags have been in a few times this season and certainly last year. They come off a strong defensive effort, and then can't follow that up with another, no games against the Texans and Jets don't count. This is the last missing piece in believing that I can rely on the Jags defensively. I'm still not at the point where either of these teams gives me comfort going under the total. Tennessee has not named a QB for Saturday's game but either it shouldn't scare you off the number. |
|||||||
01-02-23 | Tulane v. USC UNDER 62.5 | Top | 46-45 | Loss | -110 | 143 h 13 m | Show |
Two 11-2 teams meet in the Cotton Bowl on Monday in Arlington, Texas, when No. 16 Tulane takes on No. 10 Southern California. Both squads are coming off appearances in their conference championship games. The Green Wave beat UCF for the American Athletic Conference crown, while the Trojans fell to Utah in the Pac-12's title bout. Tulane is playing in its fourth bowl game in the past five seasons, but this may be the biggest bowl game the Green Wave have played in since they faced Texas A&M in the 1940 Sugar Bowl. Tulane has a chance to win a New Year's Six bowl, beat a Power 5 opponent and achieve just the second 12-win season in program history. For USC, an appearance in the Cotton Bowl caps off a remarkable one-year turnaround under first-year head coach Lincoln Riley. The Trojans went 4-8 last season -- marking just the third time in program history that that USC took that many defeats. With Riley on the sideline and Heisman Trophy winner Caleb Williams at quarterback, the Trojans won double-digit games for the first time in five seasons. USC enters the Cotton Bowl with the nation's third-best scoring offense at 41.1 points per game. Williams sustained a hamstring injury in the loss to Utah but aims to play in the bowl game. |
|||||||
01-01-23 | Vikings +3.5 v. Packers | Top | 17-41 | Loss | -110 | 55 h 32 m | Show |
The Packers can be eliminated from the playoff picture if they lose Sunday and either the Commanders win at home against the Cleveland Browns (6-9) or the Detroit Lions (7-8) win at home against the Chicago Bears (3-12). The Browns-Commanders game and Bears-Lions matchup should be finishing up right around the time the Packers and Vikings have their opening kickoff. Minnesota (12-3) is seeking its first regular-season sweep of the Packers (7-8) since 2017. The Vikings went 1-0-1 against Green Bay in 2018. |
|||||||
01-01-23 | 49ers v. Raiders +10 | 37-34 | Win | 100 | 54 h 19 m | Show
Kyle Shanahan remembers being impressed with Raiders quarterback Jarrett Stidham at the 2019 Senior Bowl. The San Francisco 49ers coach knows little else about Las Vegas' new starter. Stidham is a big unknown for the 49ers, who rank first in the NFL in scoring and total defense and figure to be a substantial challenge for a quarterback making his first career start. The Raiders will start Stidham the final two weeks, including Sunday when San Francisco visits, in place of the benched Derek Carr. "He can make every throw similar to Carr," Shanahan said. "But he hasn't been out there a lot, so hopefully we'll confuse him (and) make it tough for him." The change at quarterback is a signal the Raiders are moving on from Carr and looking at the big picture with the playoffs all but out of reach. That's not the case for the 49ers, who have clinched the NFC West and can still move up from the No. 3 seed. Las Vegas coach Josh McDaniels hopes inserting Stidham will revive an offense that has sputtered over the past month as the Raiders have gone 2-2, losing twice in the final minute to the Los Angeles Rams and Pittsburgh Steelers. |
|||||||
01-01-23 | Panthers v. Bucs -3 | Top | 24-30 | Win | 100 | 51 h 20 m | Show |
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Carolina Panthers don't have to sort through a bunch of potential tiebreaker scenarios to know what they need to do to win the NFC South and host a first-round playoff game. Beat the Panthers on Sunday at Raymond James Stadium, and Tom Brady and the first-place Bucs (7-8) will repeat as division champions and earn a postseason berth for the third straight year regardless of what happens in the final week of the regular season. Carolina (6-9), which has won four of its past six games to play its way back into contention after firing its coach and trading its best player, can claim its first NFC South title by closing with victories over Tampa Bay and New Orleans. "We know what this game entails," Panthers interim coach Steve Wilks said. "There is no reason to talk about it." |
|||||||
12-31-22 | Ohio State v. Georgia UNDER 62.5 | Top | 41-42 | Loss | -110 | 103 h 7 m | Show |
Ohio State's blueprint for winning the College Football Playoff championship will be staring the No. 4 Buckeyes in the face when they play No. 1 Georgia in a semifinal game at the Peach Bowl in Atlanta on Saturday. The Buckeyes (11-1) are coming off a 45-23 thrashing by second-ranked Michigan on Nov. 26 in Columbus, Ohio, and are only in the playoffs thanks to Southern California losing to Utah in the Pac-12 championship game, enabling Ohio State to be awarded the final spot. Critics would say the Buckeyes don't deserve a shot at the Bulldogs (13-0) after being manhandled by the Wolverines for the second year in a row. Ohio State coach Ryan Day said his players understand their underdog role. "I see a team that realizes that not a lot of people give us a chance," he said. "We know what we're in for, we know what the challenge is. Years and seasons and life doesn't always go the way you plan. It's about how you react to it and how you respond to it. "As much as that (Michigan) loss hurts, we're not going to overreact on it. It's not worth it. We have a game against Georgia ahead of us that we're focusing on." |
|||||||
12-30-22 | Wyoming v. Ohio OVER 42 | 27-30 | Win | 100 | 112 h 50 m | Show
Ohio wants to cap its successful turnaround season with a victory in the Arizona Bowl while Wyoming seeks to end its tumultuous year with its fourth straight bowl win in Friday's game in Tucson, Ariz. Ohio went from 3-9 last season to 9-4 this year, earning Tim Albin MAC Coach of the Year honors in his second season. Fourth-year quarterback Kurtis Rourke was selected the MAC's Offensive Player of the Year while running back Sieh Bangura was chosen the conference's Freshman of the Year. Rourke will not play in the Arizona Bowl because of a torn meniscus and ACL suffered last month. He passed for 3,256 yards (completing 244 of 353 attempts) with 25 touchdowns and four interceptions. CJ Harris is his replacement. He has passed for 393 yards while completing 32 of 64 passes with one touchdown and one interception. Bangura has rushed for 940 yards on 107 carries with seven touchdowns. |
|||||||
12-30-22 | South Carolina v. Notre Dame UNDER 52 | Top | 38-45 | Loss | -110 | 113 h 24 m | Show |
Tyler Buchner opened the season as Notre Dame's starting quarterback. Then an injury in early September forced him from the role. A speedy recovery coupled with the transfer of replacement Drew Pyne — who steered the team to an 8-2 record — now have Buchner prepared to lead the No. 21 Fighting Irish into the Gator Bowl against No. 19 South Carolina on Dec. 30 in Jacksonville, Fla. Talk about a whirlwind, right? "You never really envision it going this way," Buchner said. "When you're announced as the starter and then you're hurt (in) Week 2, you lose two games. It's never the way you picture it. But you learn a lot through that. "I feel like getting hurt wasn't the worst thing that could have ever happened to me." Notre Dame (8-4) entered the fall with a No. 5 ranking but started the season with losses to eventual College Football Playoff entrant Ohio State and unranked Marshall. Buchner went 28-for-50 for 378 yards and two interceptions while rushing for two touchdowns before injuring the AC joint in his non-throwing shoulder. While watching games in the press box alongside offensive coordinator Tommy Rees brought Buchner valuable seasoning, the Fighting Irish know there may be some bumps, especially early in the game. It won't be Notre Dame's lone obstacle. Tight end Michael Mayer and defensive lineman Isaiah Foskey, both team captains, announced this month their intent to forego the bowl game to prepare for the NFL Draft. |
|||||||
12-29-22 | Cowboys v. Titans +13 | Top | 27-13 | Loss | -110 | 10 h 48 m | Show |
The Dallas Cowboys and Tennessee Titans are desperately chasing division titles as the regular season winds to a close. Their approach Thursday night will be very different. Dallas (11-4) still has some hope of a second straight NFC East title with the Cowboys needing to win their final two games with Philadelphia losing at least once. Surviving Thursday night as healthy as possible is Tennessee's top priority. The only way the Titans (7-8) can win a third consecutive AFC South title is by beating the Jaguars in Jacksonville in Week 18. So if coach Mike Vrabel wants to rest as many of his Titans as possible, that's just fine with the Cowboys. "If they want to roll us the ball a couple of times and let us go from there, I'm all for that," Dallas quarterback Dak Prescott said. "We'll take it however they want to do it." Dallas has won five of six, including a 10-point comeback last week for a 40-34 win to keep Philadelphia from clinching home-field advantage throughout the postseason in the NFC. Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott couldn't agree more, even with a postseason berth already secure. |
|||||||
12-29-22 | Minnesota v. Syracuse +10 | Top | 28-20 | Win | 100 | 88 h 8 m | Show |
Minnesota and Syracuse feature standout running backs in Mohamed Ibrahim and Sean Tucker but only one star will actually play in Yankee Stadium. Ibrahim will attempt to complete his remarkable comeback from a ruptured Achilles on Thursday when his Golden Gophers make their first appearance in the Pinstripe Bowl against the Orange, who hope another running back can compensate for Tucker's absence. Last season, Ibrahim was injured in the opening game against Ohio State after rushing for 1,076 yards in seven games during the 2020 season. This year, he was the nation's fourth-leading rusher with 1,594 yards and a finalist for the Doak Walker Award. His 19 rushing touchdowns were tied for second in the nation. |
|||||||
12-28-22 | Central Florida +3.5 v. Duke | Top | 13-30 | Loss | -115 | 64 h 23 m | Show |
Duke is bowl-eligible for the first time since 2018. To cap off Mike Elko's first season at the helm, the Blue Devils draw UCF in Annapolis, Md. at the Military Bowl on Wednesday. Should Duke (8-4) beat the Knights (9-4), it will give the Blue Devils just their seventh season of nine or more wins in program history. Duke has only had two seasons with that many wins since it joined the ACC in 1953. Both of those campaigns came under the previous coach, David Cutcliffe. But Cutcliffe's Duke teams floundered near the end of his tenure, and the Blue Devils went a combined 10-25 from 2019 to 2021. Elko quickly got the program back on the right track in his first season. Duke had a winning record in ACC play (5-3) for the first time since 2014. Elko was named ACC Coach of the Year and is a semifinalist for the George Munger Coach of the Year award. |

12-27-22 | Georgia Southern v. Buffalo +4 | Top | 21-23 | Win | 100 | 39 h 36 m | Show |
Kyle Vantrease was the starting quarterback at Buffalo last season. This year, Vantrease starts at Georgia Southern against his former team in the Camellia Bowl on Tuesday in Montgomery, Ala. Georgia Southern (6-6) will be participating in a bowl game for the fifth time; the Eagles are 3-1 and won the 2018 Camellia Bowl. Buffalo (6-6) is in its sixth bowl game; the Bulls are 2-3 and won the 2020 Camellia Bowl. This will be the first meeting between the two teams. Georgia Southern, in its first season under coach Clay Helton, became bowl-eligible by beating Appalachian State 51-48 in double overtime in the final game of the season. Buffalo became eligible for the postseason by with a last-minute 23-22 win over Akron in their season finale. |
|||||||
12-26-22 | Chargers v. Colts OVER 45.5 | Top | 20-3 | Loss | -110 | 23 h 5 m | Show |
The Indianapolis Colts haven't changed the game plan. They're still trying to run first, still relying on a stout defense and still trying to win games despite their ever-changing circumstances. Indy has played most of this season without three-time All-Pro linebacker Shaquille Leonard, will be missing 2021 NFL rushing champ, Jonathan Taylor, for the final three games because of an ankle injury, and heads into Monday night's matchup against the Los Angeles Chargers with its third starting quarterback, Nick Foles. Interim coach Jeff Saturday made the move for one simple reason. "It's no secret, we haven't converted in the red zone and ultimately, you've got to make plays in the NFL and we're not making nearly enough explosive plays and not making plays in the red zone," he said when announcing Matt Ryan was getting benched again. "I feel like Nick will give us a better chance to go win these last three games." It's an odd move. Indy (4-9-1) was mathematically eliminated from playoff contention with Jacksonville's win over the New York Jets on Thursday, before taking the field for its third and final prime-time game of the season. Plus, Saturday went with the 33-year-old Foles over 24-year-old Sam Ehlinger, who went 0-2 as the starter earlier this year. |

12-26-22 | New Mexico State v. Bowling Green -3 | 24-19 | Loss | -110 | 26 h 8 m | Show
Matt McDonald could appeal for another season, but the Bowling Green quarterback could be stepping on the field for the final time when the Falcons play New Mexico State in the Quick Lane Bowl in Detroit on Dec. 26. That doesn't mean just his last time for Bowling Green, but his last competitive game at any level. "I know that's a possibility and I'm OK with that. I have no regrets," McDonald said. "We've overcome a lot over the last couple years and we've gotten to this point, bowl game, haven't done that in the last seven years. "I thought that was pretty special and I just want to end it with a win and bring a bowl game victory back to Bowling Green." The Falcons (6-6) are in their first bowl game since losing 58-27 to Georgia Southern in the 2015 GoDaddy.com Bowl when they face New Mexico State (6-6), which won five of its last six games. McDonald has thrown for 2,639 yards, 22 touchdowns and eight interceptions this season, his second as Bowling Green's full-time starter. The last contest wasn't good as McDonald was intercepted three times during a 38-14 road loss against Ohio. |

12-25-22 | Broncos v. Rams +3 | 14-51 | Win | 100 | 5 h 18 m | Show
The Rams have won four straight games against Denver, most recently a 23-20 victory in the 2018 season. The Broncos' last win against the Rams in Los Angeles came in Week 6 of the 1982 season.The Broncos currently lead the NFL with 19 players on injured reserve, while the Rams are tied for third-most with 15. Last season, the Rams had the fifth-fewest games missed while on injured reserve.

12-24-22 | Middle Tennessee State v. San Diego State UNDER 47.5 | 25-23 | Loss | -110 | 10 h 4 m | Show
Last year, it was the Bahamas. This year, it's Hawaii. No Group of 5 program has fared better at scoring tropical bowl destinations the last two seasons than Middle Tennessee. The Blue Raiders will try to turn their nine-hour plane trip to Honolulu into a win in the Hawaii Bowl against San Diego State on Saturday. "Two melatonins before I get on the plane to get as much sleep as I can," said safety Teldrick Ross of the trip across four time zones and an ocean. "That way, if I can cut the plane ride down to only like four or five and a half hours, I'll take it." Middle Tennessee (7-5) has become a bowl regular under veteran coach Rick Stockstill. The former Florida State quarterback has taken the team to 10 bowls in his 17 seasons on the job, and his 108 wins in Murfreesboro are the third most in program history. The Blue Raiders' 2022 highlight was a 45-31 win at Miami on Sept. 24, sending the Hurricanes out of the rankings for good. Middle Tennessee quarterback Chase Cunningham threw for 408 yards that day, and he has thrown for 2,920 yards in 11 games with 19 touchdowns and nine interceptions. The team's defensive leader is safety Tra Fluellen, who has 97 tackles and seven pass breakups. Meanwhile, the Aztecs (7-5) were two different teams this year -- one before Mississippi State transfer Jalen Mayden took over at quarterback and another after he got the job from Virginia Tech transfer Braxton Burmeister. |

12-24-22 | Commanders v. 49ers UNDER 37.5 | Top | 20-37 | Loss | -110 | 6 h 18 m | Show |
The stakes for the San Francisco 49ers down the stretch of the season aren't particularly high after they clinched the NFC West last week. The Niners are most likely slotted into either the second or third seed in the NFC with a possible second-round home playoff game in the balance. The situation is very different for Washington (7-6-1) heading into Saturday's game at San Francisco (10-4) after the Commanders lost last week to the New York Giants, putting a dent into their playoff hopes. Washington is clinging to the seventh seed but could fall out of playoff position with another loss. "I think that's a big part of the mentality that we have to take is that we've got to go out and we've got to play our best," coach Ron Rivera said. "We've got to get some things corrected and fixed and ready to go. We can't struggle in some of the areas that we have lately. Those things have to be addressed and they are being addressed." The biggest issues for the Commanders are on offense after they were held to 32 points combined in back-to-back games against the Giants and struggled to finish drives in the red zone. Now they're set to face the NFL's stingiest defense. |

12-24-22 | Lions v. Panthers OVER 43.5 | 23-37 | Win | 100 | 3 h 19 m | Show
Jared Goff has the surging Detroit Lions in contention for a wild card spot. Sam Darnold and the Carolina Panthers still have plenty to play for as well, despite a 5-9 record. The teams clash in Charlotte on Saturday in a game that will impact NFC playoff scenarios. The Lions (7-7) have won six of their last seven games and are a half-game behind Washington in the race for the final wild-card spot. Carolina is coming off a home loss to Pittsburgh, but still controls its playoff destiny. If the Panthers win out, they'll win the NFC South title and host a playoff game in January with a losing record. The Lions are hoping Goff's playoff experience - he helped the Los Angeles Rams reach the Super Bowl four years ago - will help ready some of his younger teammates for a run at the postseason. "I think as the quarterback of the team and a leader on this team that is part of my job, but not because I have experience in it, just because that's what I'm supposed to do," Goff said. Meanwhile, Panthers interim coach Steve Wilks has informed his players and staff he doesn't want to hear a word about the playoffs, saying all their focus should be on Detroit following his team's lackluster performance against the Steelers. |

12-24-22 | Bengals v. Patriots OVER 41 | Top | 22-18 | Loss | -114 | 3 h 29 m | Show |
It was 2020, the NFL draft was looming, and the world was on the brink of going into hibernation because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Joe Burrow was in Miami walking out of a steakhouse with then-Detroit Lions coach Matt Patricia following a pre-draft dinner. He glanced up and saw someone else he recognized: Patriots coach Bill Belichick. "I just went up and introduced myself," Burrow recalled this week. Was there any nervousness about meeting one of the NFL's most revered coaches? "I didn't really think about it," Burrow said. "I figured he knew who I was. I just went up and introduced myself. Nothing crazy." Two years later, the pair will meet under many different circumstances. Burrow and the defending AFC champion Cincinnati Bengals have a chance to close in on their second straight AFC North title when they visit a Patriots team that seems far removed from its most recent Super Bowl win, which came after the 2018 season. Cincinnati (10-4) enters Saturday's game on a six-game win streak and holds a one-game division lead over Baltimore. New England (7-7) has lost three of its last four games and entered the week one game outside the final AFC playoff spot. |

12-24-22 | Bills v. Bears UNDER 40.5 | Top | 35-13 | Loss | -110 | 3 h 16 m | Show |
The Buffalo Bills still have a few important goals to achieve before they turn their attention toward the biggest prize of all. They can clinch their third straight AFC East title this week, and a No. 1 seed playoff seed is in sight. For all the prizes out there, coach Sean McDermott insisted the focus is simply on beating the struggling Bears when his team visits frigid Chicago on Saturday. "We're facing a Chicago Bears team that is playing really good football right now and they play extremely hard," he said. "I think Coach (Matt) Eberflus has done a great job of changing that culture, perhaps, at least from the outside looking in, in terms of how they're playing." The Bills (11-3) clinched their fourth straight playoff berth with last week's win over Miami and would lock up the division with a win or tie against Chicago (3-11). A loss or tie by the Dolphins against Green Bay would also do it. Buffalo has the inside track toward the top seed in the AFC - and the first-round bye and home-field advantage through the conference championship game that comes with it. |

12-23-22 | Wake Forest v. Missouri UNDER 59 | Top | 27-17 | Win | 100 | 8 h 16 m | Show |
Sam Hartman takes the field for the final time as Wake Forest quarterback when the Demon Deacons face Missouri in the Dec. 23 Gasparilla Bowl at Tampa, Fla. The record-setting signal-caller has decided to play in the bowl game but made it clear last month that he isn't returning to Wake. "No shot," Hartman said. Hartman, 23, is weighing whether to enter the NFL draft or transfer to another school for the sixth season. Schools needing a quarterback are preparing possible name, image, and likeness deals. "Whatever decision Sam makes we support him," Demon Deacons coach Dave Clawson told reporters. "Again, I think right now his intention is to go to the NFL. When the bowl game is over if there's some incredible offer for him to go to another school and get life-changing money, how can we fault him for that? So it's a good problem to have, and he's going to have many good options." Hartman has passed for 3,421 yards, 35 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions this season. He enters his final contest for Wake Forest (7-5) with a record easily in reach. Hartman is tied for the ACC career passing touchdowns record at 107 with former Clemson star Tajh Boyd (2010-13). |

12-23-22 | Houston v. UL-Lafayette OVER 56.5 | 23-16 | Loss | -110 | 5 h 50 m | Show
Houston possesses one of the most potent offenses and passing games in the nation, scoring 37.2 points per game and passing for 321.1 yards per game. Quarterback Clayton Tune has thrown for 3,845 yards, 37 touchdowns and 10 interceptions. He is one of the players the Cougars are trying to replace next season, likely through the portal. His top target is Nathaniel Dell, who leads the team with 103 catches for 1,354 yards and 15 touchdowns. Louisiana has already been hit hard by key departures to the NFL draft, losing defensive end Andre Jones, which makes its defensive task even more difficult in this game. The Ragin' Cajuns will have to rely on their less experienced defenders to try and slow Houston's aerial assault. |

12-22-22 | Jaguars v. Jets UNDER 36.5 | 19-3 | Win | 100 | 6 h 5 m | Show
Duane Brown saw no need to downplay what was ahead for the New York Jets. Their playoff hopes have been seriously damaged by a three-game losing streak. And they've got a short week to get themselves back in the AFC postseason hunt. Next up for the Jets (7-7) is a home game Thursday night against Trevor Lawrence and the suddenly surging Jacksonville Jaguars (6-8). "We've got to win this week," said Brown, New York's left tackle. "That's the bottom line, that's all we can think about. We can't think about playoffs, next week, or other scenarios outside our team, who loses, who wins, who can help us. We have to think about Jacksonville on Thursday night and winning this ballgame. "This is a must-win in our eyes. That's how we look at it." Some might argue that's the case for the Jets from here on out. Otherwise, the NFL's longest postseason drought could stretch to 12 seasons. |
|||||||
12-22-22 | Jaguars v. Jets -2 | 19-3 | Loss | -110 | 6 h 2 m | Show
Zach Wilson will start a second game in five days after returning last Sunday as the Jets' starting quarterback with Mike White sidelined by a rib injury. Wilson was benched for three games to reset his mechanics and mental approach. He had an up-and-down performance against Detroit, going 18 of 35 for 317 yards and two touchdowns with an interception. |
|||||||
12-22-22 | Air Force v. Baylor -3 | 30-15 | Loss | -120 | 6 h 58 m | Show
One could say that Baylor coach Dave Aranda has returned to his roots for Thursday night's Armed Forces Bowl against Air Force in Fort Worth, Texas. Aranda will serve as his own defensive coordinator after canning Ron Roberts following the Bears' 6-6 season. Aranda ascended to the Baylor job after running the LSU defense for Ed Orgeron during a 15-0 national championship season in 2019. "You go into my office now, my desk, I've got fits and drawings all over," Aranda said. "I remember those days. It used to be a clean desk. It's not like that anymore." Playing against a true triple-option desk could turn even the most stringent neat freak into a messaholic. The Falcons (9-3) led the FBS in rushing, averaging 330.9 yards per game, and have the nation's third-leading rusher in fullback Brad Roberts and his 1,612 yards. Taking away the fullback in an option attack is always paramount, but even more so when you talk about Air Force. It's 9-1 when Roberts runs for at least 100 yards. The only teams to hold him under three figures? Wyoming and Boise State. |

12-21-22 | South Alabama -3 v. Western Kentucky | Top | 23-44 | Loss | -120 | 9 h 5 m | Show |
South Alabama will hope to put a bow on its most successful FBS season by winning a bowl game for the first time in program history. At the end of a 10-2 season, South Alabama was selected to play in the New Orleans Bowl against Western Kentucky on Wednesday inside the Superdome. The Jaguars had never finished a season over .500 since joining FBS in 2012. Their only two losses this year came by one point on the road against UCLA in September and by four points to rival Troy in October. Troy and South Alabama ended up tied atop the Sun Belt West, so Troy advanced to the Sun Belt title game and won the conference championship. A trip to New Orleans is not a bad consolation prize for the Jaguars, who are 0-2 in bowl games. Second-year coach Kane Wommack, who received a contract extension earlier this month, said the bowl trip is both a reward and a way to carry momentum into spring practices. |

12-21-22 | South Alabama v. Western Kentucky UNDER 58 | Top | 23-44 | Loss | -110 | 9 h 1 m | Show |
The Jaguars are led by quarterback Carter Bradley (2,976 passing yards, 25 touchdowns) and running back La'Damian Webb (1,014 rushing yards, 13 touchdowns). Western Kentucky (8-5) will play in its ninth bowl game in 11 years. The Hilltoppers won three of their final four games, including a 32-31 overtime win over Florida Atlantic in their regular-season finale. After FAU scored first, Western Kentucky quarterback Austin Reed ran in a 1-yard touchdown and threw the game-winning two-point conversion to Joshua Simon. Reed, who transferred from Division II West Florida, was named Conference USA's Newcomer of the Year after throwing for 4,249 yards and 36 touchdowns, ranking second and fourth in FBS, respectively. |

12-20-22 | Eastern Michigan v. San Jose State -4 | 41-27 | Loss | -110 | 5 h 30 m | Show
Eastern Michigan head coach Chris Creighton said not only does the team want to get over that hump and win its first bowl game in more than three decades, but also hoist another trophy after claiming the Michigan MAC Trophy after wins over rivals Central and Western Michigan this year. "That was the first time our guys have hoisted a trophy," Creighton said. "The postgame was a ton of fun and we want to do it again." The Eagles are led on offense by senior running back Samson Evans (1,084 yards rushing, 13 touchdowns) and on defense by end Jose Ramirez, who was named the Mid-American Conference's Defensive MVP after registering a single-season school record 12 sacks. San Jose State enters with a 7-4 mark and will be playing in a bowl game for the 12th time ever and second time in the last three seasons. The Spartans are seeking their first bowl win since a 27-16 win over Georgia State in the 2015 Cure Bowl. |

12-20-22 | Eastern Michigan v. San Jose State OVER 53 | Top | 41-27 | Win | 100 | 5 h 36 m | Show |
Eastern Michigan and San Jose State might not have extensive bowl histories in their respective programs, but believe it or not, there is bowl history with one another. When the teams collide on Dec. 20 in the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl, it will be the second meeting in a bowl game between the Eagles and Spartans. The teams also met in the 1987 California Bowl, where Eastern Michigan earned what still is its only bowl win in school history, a 30-27 triumph. Now, 35 years later, the teams will hook up in the postseason once again. Eastern Michigan enters with an 8-4 record and will be making its seventh appearance all-time in a bowl game. It is also the fourth time in the last five seasons the Eagles will be in a bowl game. The Eagles have lost all four of those games, but three of them were by a combined 10 points. |

12-19-22 | Rams +7.5 v. Packers | Top | 12-24 | Loss | -110 | 4 h 49 m | Show |
This can't be what the NFL's schedule-makers and ESPN executives had in mind. When the league's slate of prime-time games came out in the spring, a mid-December matchup between the Super Bowl champion Los Angeles Rams and the three-time defending NFC North champion Green Bay Packers at Lambeau Field sounded like TV rating gold. Surely visions of gorgeous wide-angle shots of the falling snow and big-time playoff implications were dancing in their heads. But instead of a playoff preview, the "Monday Night Football" audience will get two of the NFL's most disappointing teams when the Rams (4-9) visit the Packers (5-8). Although both teams are still mathematically in playoff contention, the Rams have assured a sub-.500 record and the Packers could win out and still miss the postseason for the first time under coach Matt LaFleur. |
|||||||
12-18-22 | Titans +3 v. Chargers | 14-17 | Push | 0 | 5 h 59 m | Show
The Los Angeles Chargers' defense had its best game of the season last week in shutting down one of the league's top passing attacks. Their challenge Sunday will be to contain Tennessee Titans running back Derrick Henry. The two-time NFL rushing champ will play in his 100th regular-season game as the slumping Titans head west. Henry is second in the league with 1,199 yards rushing and needs only 4 yards to reach 8,000 for his career. Henry's focus is on snapping Tennessee's first three-game losing streak since 2018 instead of personal milestones. |
|||||||
12-18-22 | Patriots +2.5 v. Raiders | 24-30 | Loss | -110 | 5 h 48 m | Show
If the New England Patriots make the playoffs, their weeklong stay out West likely will be a major reason. They remained in Arizona this past week after beating the Cardinals 27-13 on Monday night, training in Tucson. That victory put the Patriots, at 7-6, in position for the seventh and final AFC playoff spot. Given that the first two teams just outside the postseason - the Los Angeles Chargers and New York Jets - have the same records, Sunday's game at Las Vegas is critical, especially considering the Patriots' closing stretch. New England's final three games are against teams that as of now would be in the playoffs. So instead of making two cross-country trips in a week, coach Bill Belichick decided to save the wear on his players and have them ready when they visit the Raiders (5-8). |
|||||||
12-18-22 | Steelers +3 v. Panthers | 24-16 | Win | 100 | 2 h 46 m | Show
Sam Darnold spent the better part of this season on the sideline in a boot, learning the importance of patience while watching other quarterbacks play. Those lessons appear to be paying off. Darnold is 2-0 since taking over as Carolina's starting quarterback and has the Panthers (5-8) in control of their playoff destiny with four games remaining. If the Panthers win out, beginning Sunday at home against the Pittsburgh Steelers, they'll win the NFC South. "I think the biggest thing I learned was patience," said Darnold, who was 4-7 as Carolina's starter last season. "When I'm back there, I'm taking the shots when they are there, but at the same time being patient and understanding what the situation is. First and second down, you want to stay ahead of the chains, and then on third down being able to go through my reads and use my legs if I have to." The No. 3 pick in the 2018 NFL draft hasn't put up eye-popping numbers by any means, throwing for 284 yards and two touchdowns in two starts. He hasn't needed to. With the Panthers running the ball so effectively, Darnold's biggest task has been managing the game and not turning the ball over. |
