09-29-23 | Cincinnati v. BYU OVER 49 | Top | 27-35 | Win | 100 | 7 h 39 m | Show |
BYU will aim to bounce back from a 38-27 loss at Kansas in its Big 12 opener. After three nonconference victories, including a 38-31 win at Arkansas, BYU became the latest team to be unable to slow the Jayhawks' high-powered attack. The Cougars led 17-14 at halftime but gave up the advantage only 22 seconds into the second half on a pick-six before yielding lengthy scoring drives on Kansas' first three offensive possessions of the half. BYU quarterback Kedon Slovis completed 30 of 51 passes for 357 yards with two scores and two interceptions. The Cougars (3-1, 0-1 Big 12) got nothing from their ground game (22 attempts, 9 yards) and allowed 6 yards per carry to the Jayhawks. Slovis has thrown for 1,017 yards with eight touchdowns and three interceptions in four games, relying on the trio of Chase Roberts, Isaac Rex and Darius Lassiter. They have a combined 52 catches and five scores. |

09-29-23 | Utah v. Oregon State -4 | Top | 7-21 | Win | 100 | 6 h 31 m | Show |
Utah (4-0, 1-0 Pac-12) strives to remain unbeaten while increasing its offensive production when it battles No. 19 Oregon State (3-1, 0-1) in a Friday night Pac-12 clash at Corvallis, Ore. Star quarterback Cam Rising hasn't played since tearing his left anterior cruciate ligament during the Utes' Jan. 2 Rose Bowl loss to Penn State. Rising has been sharing time with Johnson in practice but has yet to be cleared for game duty. Bryson Barnes and Johnson split time the first two games before Johnson became the starter for the past two. However, Johnson wasn't the least bit happy with the meager 219 yards of total offense the Utes compiled during a 14-7 home victory over then-No. 22 UCLA last week. That won't be good enough tonight |

09-28-23 | Middle Tennessee State v. Western Kentucky OVER 60.5 | Top | 10-31 | Loss | -110 | 3 h 30 m | Show |
09-25-23 | Rams v. Bengals UNDER 45.5 | Top | 16-19 | Win | 100 | 3 h 29 m | Show |
09-25-23 | Eagles -5 v. Bucs | Top | 25-11 | Win | 100 | 3 h 41 m | Show |
The Eagles have the NFL’s No. 2 ranked rushing offense, averaging 178 yards per game. Hurts ran for two TDs and threw for a third against the Vikings, while D’Andre Swift finished with a career-high 175 rushing on 28 carries. Eagles test Buc's run defense tonight, |
|||||||
09-24-23 | Chargers v. Vikings UNDER 54.5 | Top | 28-24 | Win | 100 | 11 h 48 m | Show |
The Vikings have struggled to get their ground game going, prompting the acquisition of running back Cam Akers from the Rams. Running plays have been a problem for the Vikings on the other side of the ball, too. They gave up 259 rushing yards to the Eagles, getting trampled by D'Andre Swift down the stretch when a stop or two could've translated into a comeback victory. The Chargers rushed for 234 yards in their opening loss to the Dolphins, when Austin Ekeler suffered an ankle sprain that kept him out against the Titans. Joshua Kelley would start if Ekeler is sidelined again. |
|||||||
09-24-23 | Texans v. Jaguars OVER 43.5 | Top | 37-17 | Win | 100 | 1 h 25 m | Show |
The Texans (0-2) have scored 29 points, which ranks 29th in the league and is slightly better than tied-for-last Carolina, Cincinnati and Las Vegas. The Jaguars (1-1) are coming off a nine-point showing in their home opener against Kansas City and are last in the league in third-down conversions (25%). Naturally that means we're going over the total |

09-23-23 | Kent State v. Fresno State -27 | Top | 10-53 | Win | 100 | 8 h 32 m | Show |
09-23-23 | UTSA v. Tennessee UNDER 60 | Top | 14-45 | Win | 100 | 1 h 9 m | Show |

09-22-23 | Wisconsin v. Purdue UNDER 55 | Top | 38-17 | Push | 0 | 4 h 37 m | Show |
Purdue quarterback Hudson Card committed four turnovers (three fumbles) last week in a 15-point loss at Ross-Ade Stadium to Syracuse. Walters said he's not considering a change at that position. Card, who passed for 323 yards in the loss to the Orange, knows killing the giveaways is a must for Purdue to contend against the Badgers and their Big Ten brethren. Until I know I can trust him for consistency I won't lean on Purdue to put up points. |

09-21-23 | Giants v. 49ers UNDER 43.5 | Top | 12-30 | Win | 100 | 4 h 49 m | Show |
09-21-23 | Arkansas-Pine Bluff v. Alabama A&M -10 | Top | 24-31 | Loss | -110 | 3 h 18 m | Show |
09-21-23 | Georgia State v. Coastal Carolina UNDER 63 | Top | 30-17 | Win | 100 | 3 h 12 m | Show |
09-18-23 | Browns v. Steelers +2 | Top | 22-26 | Win | 100 | 8 h 52 m | Show |
The Cleveland Browns have won in Week 1 before. They've dominated opponents the way they dominated the Cincinnati Bengals last week before. What they haven't done - at least not in the past 20 years during the regular season anyway - is beat the Pittsburgh Steelers on the road. Coaches change. Quarterbacks change. Uniforms change. Cleveland's futility at Acrisure Stadium - save for that cathartic first-round playoff win in 2020 - does not. The Browns (1-0) will walk onto the field looking to win in Pittsburgh (0-1) for the first time since 2003. And they'll do it under the lights of prime time with a chance to prove to a national audience their systematic beatdown of the Bengals in the opener was no fluke. |
|||||||
09-18-23 | Saints -3 v. Panthers | Top | 20-17 | Push | 0 | 7 h 6 m | Show |
Bryce Young’s longest pass completion in Week 1 went for 14 yards. Panthers coach Frank Reich knows that needs to change Monday night when Carolina hosts the division-rival New Orleans Saints. Young, the No. 1 overall pick, was limited to 146 yards passing in a 24-10 loss to Atlanta and threw two interceptions and one touchdown in his pro debut. The lack of what Reich deems “chunk plays” in the passing game - considered gains of 20 or more yards - contributed to those poor numbers, as the Falcons repeatedly keyed on short throws over the middle while daring Young to beat them deep. I think Young will play better but the Saints get the win and cover. |
|||||||
09-17-23 | Colts v. Texans | Top | 31-20 | Loss | -110 | 4 h 43 m | Show |
Indy’s running game struggled mightily last week without the top two backs, 2021 NFL rushing champion Jonathan Taylor and Zack Moss. Richardson had 10 carries for 40 yards, while the rest of the team logged 16 carries for 25 yards. It could be more of the same this week. While the disgruntled Taylor (ankle) is on the physically unable to perform and is out until at least Week 5, Moss’ status is unclear. He broke his right arm during training camp and didn’t return to practice until last week then was inactive for the Jacksonville game. Steichen wouldn’t even hint at whether Moss might play in Houston. |
|||||||
09-17-23 | Chargers v. Titans +3 | Top | 24-27 | Win | 100 | 3 h 29 m | Show |
Ryan Tannehill debuted as the Tennessee Titans' starting quarterback in October 2019 with a b ig win over the Los Angeles Chargers in Music City. The veteran desperately needs a repeat performance Sunday against the same team in the Titans' home opener. Tannehill posted his worst passer rating in Tennessee's 16-15 loss in New Orleans, which also marked just the third game of his career and first since his rookie season with three interceptions and no touchdown passes. The 35-year-old quarterback in the final year of his deal watched the tape five times. We expect there to be a bounceback this week |
|||||||
09-16-23 | Kansas v. Nevada UNDER 58.5 | Top | 31-24 | Win | 100 | 14 h 20 m | Show |
It's hard to build a case that 28-point underdog Nevada can give visiting Kansas a legitimate test on Saturday night, even if the Jayhawks' depth chart suggests otherwise. Starting cornerback Cobee Bryant and defensive end Austin Booker must sit out the first half of their game in Reno after being ejected from last week's 34-23 win over Illinois for targeting penalties. In addition, quarterback Jalon Daniels, running back Devin Neal and wide receiver Luke Grimm practiced sparingly on Sunday, according to coach Lance Leipold. The trio sustained injuries against Illinois, although Leipold said Daniels was able to do more in practice than the other two. |
|||||||
09-16-23 | Miami-OH v. Cincinnati UNDER 44 | Top | 31-24 | Loss | -110 | 11 h 53 m | Show |
Cincinnati is led by former Arizona State (2022) and Florida (2018-21) quarterback Emory Jones. He has a completion percentage of 75.5 for 470 yards with seven touchdowns and an interception. Cincinnati averages 46.5 points per game, while Miami averages just 22.0. The RedHawks are coming off an exhausting 41-28 road win at UMass on Saturday, enduring 5 hours, 35 minutes of lightning-related delays. The game was scheduled to begin at 3:32 p.m. It ended at 12:28 a.m. Sunday. This total couldn't be begging the public more to take the over, we're not falling for that. |
|||||||
09-16-23 | Louisville v. Indiana UNDER 50.5 | Top | 21-14 | Win | 100 | 4 h 8 m | Show |
It's no surprise to see a Jeff Brohm-coached team scoring a lot of points. His Louisville squad is lighting up the scoreboard, following up a 39-34 season-opening win at Georgia Tech on Sept. 1 by blanking FCS opponent Murray State 56-0 on Sept. 7. The Cardinals (2-0) step up in class on Saturday with a trip to Indianapolis for a non-conference matchup with Indiana (1-1). The Hoosiers' defense has looked very good in holding No. 6 Ohio State to 23 points and stifling FCS foe Indiana State on Sept. 8. Louisville has shown a good run-pass balance so far. Cal transfer Jack Plummer threw for 247 yards and a touchdown against Murray State, while running back Jawhar Jordan piled up 135 yards and a pair of scores on just seven carries. Indiana quiets down the Louisville offense |

09-15-23 | Utah State v. Air Force -9 | Top | 21-39 | Win | 100 | 6 h 0 m | Show |
09-15-23 | Virginia v. Maryland -14.5 | Top | 14-42 | Win | 100 | 5 h 9 m | Show |
Maryland moved to the Big Ten in 2014 and storied rivalries with longtime ACC opponents, particularly Virginia, went by the wayside. The Cavaliers and Terrapins reconvene for the first time since 2013 when Maryland (2-0) hosts Virginia (0-2) under the lights on Friday in College Park, Md. A fast start is the focus of the Terps after stumbling out of the gate last Saturday against Charlotte. Maryland entered as a 24.5-point favorite, but trailed 14-0 less than four minutes into the contest, didn't score a touchdown in the first half and only led by three entering the fourth quarter. The Terps eventually pulled away with three touchdowns in the fourth, including Roman Hemby's 15-yard scamper that sealed Maryland's 38-20 victory. |
|||||||
09-14-23 | Vikings v. Eagles OVER 49 | Top | 28-34 | Win | 100 | 17 h 47 m | Show |
After ranking second-to-last in the NFL in yards allowed and giving up the fourth-most points in the league last season under defensive coordinator Ed Donatell, the Vikings turned to Flores and turned over more than half of their starting lineup. The early results for Minnesota weren’t terribly promising - the defense allowed a fourth down conversion to extend Tampa Bay’s drive for the tiebreaking field goal and later let the Buccaneers drain the final 3:52 off the clock Sunday with a 15-yard facemask penalty and two third down conversions for a 20-17 victory. Expect both offenses to be better this week. |
|||||||
09-14-23 | Vikings v. Eagles -6 | Top | 28-34 | Push | 0 | 17 h 44 m | Show |
Jalen Hurts skipped the preseason, the NFL MVP runner-up is simply too important to risk an injury to play a meaningless snap. He also knows how to run an offense, putting up some of the best all-around numbers by a Philadelphia Eagles quarterback in franchise history. He even led the Eagles to the Super Bowl, a feat sure to be recognized at Thursday’s home opener against the Minnesota Vikings. But maybe, just maybe, even with training camp and joint practices and offseason workouts, the preseason games on the sideline might have thrown off Hurts a bit says the national media. We don't belive that to be true. Eagles roll. |
|||||||
09-14-23 | Navy v. Memphis -14 | Top | 24-28 | Loss | -110 | 16 h 8 m | Show |
Memphis has played in two uncompetitive games so far this season and is a significant favorite against the Midshipmen (1-1). But Thursday is another opportunity for the Tigers (2-0) to build momentum before they embark on a three-game stretch against Missouri, Boise State, and Tulane. |
|||||||
09-14-23 | Navy v. Memphis OVER 46 | Top | 24-28 | Win | 100 | 16 h 5 m | Show |
Memphis coaches said they've seen changes to the offense under Newberry, which means there's yet another wrinkle to prepare when playing Navy. Quarterback Tai Lavatai attempted 13 passes in Saturday's 24-0 win over Wagner, completing eight for 161 yards and a touchdown. He also rushed 16 times for 65 yards. As a team, the Midshipmen ran the ball 44 times for 245 yards. Silverfield has repeatedly talked about Memphis' depth this season, and that'll be a major factor Thursday (especially on the defensive line). Defensive coordinator Matt Barnes is in his second season with the Tigers and saw the Navy offense last season in Annapolis, so there's some familiarity. That game ended in a 37-13 blowout win for Memphis. |
|||||||
09-11-23 | Bills v. Jets UNDER 45.5 | Top | 16-22 | Win | 100 | 31 h 60 m | Show |
Aaron Rodgers and the New York Jets have worked all spring and summer to get to this moment. So has Damar Hamlin. When the Jets square off against the Buffalo Bills on "Monday Night Football" at MetLife Stadium, it will mark the next step of two fascinating journeys. In front of a national TV audience and on the 22nd anniversary of the Sept. 11 attacks. Rodgers will make his highly anticipated regular-season debut for the Jets, who acquired the four-time NFL MVP from the Green Bay Packers in April. The game also will mark the Jets debut of running back Dalvin Cook, who was signed by New York during training camp to bolster its backfield behind Rodgers. Cook — whose brother James will be on the other sideline — spent his first six seasons with Minnesota and ran for at least 1,100 yards the last four years, but he was a salary cap cut this offseason. Cook had offseason shoulder surgery and started practicing with the Jets only right before the season. But he feels healthy and prepared to give New York a 1-2 punch at running back in new coordinator Nathaniel Hackett's offense with Breece Hall, who's returning from a knee injury that cut short his promising rookie season. |
|||||||
09-10-23 | Texans +9.5 v. Ravens | Top | 9-25 | Loss | -110 | 24 h 60 m | Show |
The Ravens made some important moves of their own this offseason, although the biggest possible change — Jackson leaving — didn't happen. Baltimore signed its franchise quarterback to a new five-year deal and gave him a couple significant new targets in Odell Beckham Jr. and first-round pick Zay Flowers. Still, it's the Texans who are coming off the bigger offseason overhaul, and they can only hope it will start paying dividends soon. Their first challenge is a trip to Baltimore, where they've never won in six tries. I just think I'm not in the mood to lay almost 10 points in the first week. |
|||||||
09-10-23 | Bengals v. Browns +2.5 | Top | 3-24 | Win | 100 | 24 h 50 m | Show |
In just three seasons, he's taken the NFL by storm, leading Cincinnati to an unexpected Super Bowl appearance and consecutive AFC title games while establishing himself as one of the league's elite quarterbacks. Only 26, and there's hardly a flaw on his resume. Except for his record against the Browns. Burrow, who returned to practice this week after missing more than a month with a strained calf, is just 1-4 against AFC North rival Cleveland heading into Sunday's season opener, when he'll match up with Deshaun Watson and a defense that has had his number so far. Although his stats have been pretty solid - completing 66.2% of his passes with 10 touchdowns - Burrow has been a loser against the Browns. He's 23-13-1 versus everyone else. |
|||||||
09-09-23 | Stanford +29.5 v. USC | Top | 10-56 | Loss | -110 | 14 h 42 m | Show |
Stanford (1-0) poses a bigger test for that USC defense this weekend. Last week, in a 37-24 victory over Hawaii, the Cardinal rolled up 406 yards of offense in a balanced attack. Quarterback Ashton Daniels played well in his first career start, completing 25 of 36 passes with 248 yards and two touchdowns. Daniels also was active on the ground, rushing 11 times for 42 yards. Daniels already seems to have found a favorite target in senior tight end Benjamin Yurosek, who had nine catches for 138 yards and a touchdown against the Rainbow Warriors. It was his career high in receiving yards and one catch away from tying his personal best in catches. Stanford first-year coach Troy Taylor has to earn his money to return the once-illustrious program to its winning ways. The Cardinal has a 14-28 record in the last four seasons but made a statement in their season-opening win. |
|||||||
09-09-23 | SMU v. Oklahoma -15.5 | Top | 11-28 | Win | 100 | 9 h 16 m | Show |
The Mustangs (1-0) will visit No. 18 Oklahoma (1-0) on Saturday in Norman, and both teams are coming off decisive season-opening wins: The Sooners blasted Arkansas State 73-0 -- outgaining the Red Wolves 642-208 -- and the Mustangs handled Louisiana Tech 38-14 with a balanced offensive attack. Oklahoma's defense struggled last season, and while its remade unit certainly looked better in the opener, SMU's offense figures to offer a stiffer challenge. The Sooners added Michigan transfer Andrel Anthony, who had three catches for 66 yards in the opener, as well as freshman Jaquaize Pettaway, who led Oklahoma with nine catches. |
|||||||
09-09-23 | Purdue v. Virginia Tech -2 | Top | 24-17 | Loss | -110 | 4 h 32 m | Show |
The quarterback matchup should be intriguing when nonconference foes Purdue and host Virginia Tech meet for a noon ET kickoff Saturday in Blacksburg. Purdue has a new face to its program at quarterback but certainly not a new face to college football. Hudson Card played three seasons at Texas before transferring to Purdue, and the redshirt junior seemed to fit in well in his first start with the Boilermakers. Purdue lost its season opener at home to Fresno State 39-35, but Card went 17 of 30 passing for 254 yards, two touchdowns and no interceptions. Defense was the biggest issue for the Boilermakers as they gave up 371 yards passing. Purdue next faces an experienced quarterback in Virginia Tech starter Grant Wells, who is coming off a good debut. Wells, a redshirt senior, went 17 of 29 for 251 yards and three touchdowns in a 36-17 home win over Old Dominion. |
|||||||
09-08-23 | Indiana State v. Indiana OVER 44.5 | Top | 7-41 | Win | 100 | 7 h 14 m | Show |
09-08-23 | Indiana State v. Indiana -29.5 | Top | 7-41 | Win | 100 | 7 h 1 m | Show |
Indiana (0-1) put up more than a fight in an opening weekend loss to No. 3 Ohio State, a 23-3 defeat but a game that was there for the taking in the second half when the Hoosiers trailed 10-3. Indiana is no stranger to Indiana State or the Sycamores head coach since 2017, Curt Mallory, the youngest son of former Indiana coach Bill Mallory who played football at Michigan. Allen and Curt Mallory are close and have talked consistently since the pandemic, making the pregame greeting between the two coaches more of a thoughtful recognition of mutual respect. |
|||||||
09-07-23 | Lions +5 v. Chiefs | Top | 21-20 | Win | 100 | 35 h 35 m | Show |
Travis Kelce hyperextended his knee during the Chiefs' final practice before their opener against Detroit, leaving the status of the All-Pro tight end in question when Kansas City faces the Lions on Thursday night at Arrowhead Stadium. Chiefs coach Andy Reid said the injury occurred during their final full workout Tuesday but provided no other details. Players in the locker room said Kelce was hurt on a play in the red zone but was able to limp off the field on his own according to Dave Skaretta from the AP. I liked Detroit before the injury, you have to like them even more now. |
|||||||
09-07-23 | Lions v. Chiefs UNDER 53 | Top | 21-20 | Win | 100 | 34 h 27 m | Show |
09-07-23 | Murray State v. Louisville -40 | Top | 0-56 | Win | 100 | 34 h 57 m | Show |
Louisville received good marks for its first game under head coach Jeff Brohm. Now the Cardinals try to treat the program's former star quarterback to success in his home debut. Louisville takes on Murray State on Thursday night. These teams last met in 2017, with the Cardinals owning a 14-6 mark overall and 11-4 at home. Murray State hasn't toppled a Football Bowl Subdivision team since knocking off Louisville 26-23 in 1984 when the divisions were NCAA I-A and I-AA. |
|||||||
09-07-23 | Murray State v. Louisville UNDER 54 | Top | 0-56 | Loss | -115 | 34 h 51 m | Show |
The Cardinals annihilate the Racers, and let the foot off the gas just long enough to sneak under the total. |
|||||||
09-04-23 | Clemson v. Duke +13 | Top | 7-28 | Win | 100 | 7 h 6 m | Show |
For Duke, it's an opportunity to show that last year's campaign -- the first under coach Mike Elko -- wasn't a fluke. The Blue Devils went 9-4 under Elko, their highest win total since 2014 and just the seventh time in program history that they won at least nine games. A victory over Clemson -- which has long dominated the league -- would go along way in boosting expectations and credibility for Duke. On defense, Clemson has to replace four NFL draft picks but will still be anchored by stellar linebacker duo Barrett Carter and Jeremiah Trotter Jr., who combined for 24 tackles for losses last year. Duke returns its fair share of standouts, too, including 98 percent of its offensive production. Junior quarterback Riley Leonard is back under center after totaling 33 touchdowns and more than 3,600 yards of total offense last season. On defense, the Blue Devils bring back defensive lineman DeWayne Carter and safety Brandon Johnson, each of whom had 5.5 sacks last season. Fifth-year senior Ja'Mion Franklin -- who had three sacks and five pass breakups last season -- joins Carter as an anchor on the defensive front. |
|||||||
09-03-23 | LSU v. Florida State +2.5 | Top | 24-45 | Win | 100 | 26 h 25 m | Show |
Each offense features a dynamic quarterback -- Jayden Daniels of the Tigers and the Seminoles' Jordan Travis, both of whom threw two touchdown passes in last year's meeting. This isn't just the second consecutive season that the Tigers and Seminoles have met early, but it's the third consecutive season that Kelly's team and Norvell's team have near the outset. Kelly's Notre Dame team defeated Norvell's Seminoles 41-38 in overtime in the 2021 opener in Tallahassee, Fla. Both schools have been keeping a close eye on Idalia, the tropical storm that was forecast to become a strong hurricane and hit Florida on Wednesday. |
|||||||
09-03-23 | Northwestern v. Rutgers -5.5 | Top | 7-24 | Win | 100 | 19 h 2 m | Show |
While the Wildcats ranked last in the West Division in Cleveland.com's annual Big Ten media poll, Rutgers at least beat out Indiana for sixth in the East Division. The Scarlet Knights are aiming higher and hope to benefit from stability at quarterback. Gavin Wimsatt was named Rutgers' starter before fall camp even opened. The former four-star recruit was an early enrollee in 2021 and saw the field in fits and starts in 2022 while nursing an injury. |
|||||||
09-02-23 | Arkansas State +36.5 v. Oklahoma | Top | 0-73 | Loss | -110 | 1 h 41 m | Show |
09-01-23 | Stanford v. Hawaii +3 | Top | 37-24 | Loss | -110 | 13 h 31 m | Show |
The Troy Taylor era at Stanford will start Friday at Hawaii with uncertainty, not only because of the Cardinal's potential move to the ACC, but because the new coach will not announce his starting quarterback before the game. With former starter Tanner McKee now in the NFL, Taylor is deciding between early enrollee Myles Jackson, Ari Patu, Ashton Daniels and Syracuse transfer Justin Lamson. Until i see consistent QB play from the Cardinal, I'll go against them. |
|||||||
09-01-23 | Miami-OH +17 v. Miami-FL | Top | 3-38 | Loss | -110 | 9 h 3 m | Show |
Coming off a disappointing 5-7 season in their debut under coach Mario Cristobal, the Hurricanes will open their 2023 season at home on Friday night against the Miami (Ohio) RedHawks in Miami Gardens, Fla. The Hurricanes, favored by 17 points, are led by quarterback Tyler Van Dyke, who is back for his third season as the starter. Slowed by injuries last year, Van Dyke for his career has completed 62.5 percent of his passes for 4,766 yards, 35 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions in 21 games (17 starts). The RedHawks gained transfer wide receiver Gage Larvadain, who caught 95 passes for 1,252 yards and seven touchdowns in two years for an FCS program, Southeastern Louisiana. The RedHawks also brought in two other potential starters from the transfer portal: ex-Notre Dame receiver Joe Wilkins Jr. and former Kentucky center John Young, who will join three returning RedHawks starters on the offensive line. Defensively, the RedHawks return seven starters from a unit that led the MAC in fewest points allowed (22.6). The biggest loss was starting cornerback John Saunders, who bolted to Ole Miss. He could be replaced by Southern Cal transfer Jayden Williams. |
|||||||
08-31-23 | Florida v. Utah OVER 43.5 | Top | 11-24 | Loss | -110 | 10 h 8 m | Show |
Florida brings a new-to-them, experienced quarterback to Salt Lake City on Thursday night where seething No. 14 Utah stands ready to exact a measure of revenge for the Gators' 32-29 upset of the Utes in the 2022 opener. Only eight starters are back from the 2022 Florida team that beat ranked Utah last September, but an influx of transfers means UF is hardly inexperienced. The Gators introduce Graham Mertz, a transfer from Wisconsin, as the QB1 on Thursday night alongside a powerful companion that might be the more important crutch at Rice-Eccles Stadium. That would be the Gators' running game, which overpowered Utah in last year's tussle. Florida gained a program-record 531 rushing yards and then-quarterback Anthony Richardson scored three TDs. Richardson was the No. 4 pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, which is where Mertz fits into the plot line. But the Gators welcome back the running back tandem of Montrell Johnson Jr. and Trevor Etienne, who combined for 16 TDs last season, to offer proven production and continuity. |

The under is 5-1 in the Chiefs' last 6 vs. a team with a winning record, while the Under is 60-27 in the Eagles' last 87 games after scoring more than 30 points in their previous game. |

01-21-23 | Giants +8 v. Eagles | Top | 7-38 | Loss | -110 | 10 h 3 m | Show |
Take a look at all the good fortune the Philadelphia Eagles have enjoyed ahead of their postseason opener and it's no wonder they're feeling great about a Super Bowl run. Jalen Hurts is healthy (enough) after the Pro Bowl quarterback missed two games late in the year with a sprained right shoulder. All-Pro right tackle Lane Johnson was left off the injury report Thursday for the first time since he suffered a torn adductor late last month. The NFC postseason runs through the Linc. The Eagles went 2-0 this season against the New York Giants, their NFC East rivals who will be visiting on Saturday night. And they are the No. 1 seed in the NFC. Life is good in Philly. |

01-16-23 | Cowboys v. Bucs +3 | Top | 31-14 | Loss | -120 | 9 h 34 m | Show |
Tom Brady led the Tampa Bay Buccaneers down a winding path to the playoffs. Dak Prescott helped the Dallas Cowboys weather significant challenges on their way to the postseason. The star quarterbacks meet Monday night in an NFC wild-card game, and they are hoping the regular-season adversity will pave the way to a Super Bowl run. "Everyone works hard to get to this point. There are no more second chances," said the 45-year-old Brady, who has the Bucs (8-9) in the hunt for a second title in three years despite finishing the regular season with a losing record for the first time in more than two decades as an NFL starter. "It's going to be hard, but we're battle-tested," the seven-time Super Bowl champion added. "We've had some tough games. Some we came back from. Some we haven't. But ... close won't be good enough going forward for anybody." Perhaps no team enters the playoffs under more of a microscope than Dallas (12-5), which lost Prescott for five games after he broke his right thumb during a season-opening loss to Tampa Bay, but remained in contention for the best record in the NFC until last weekend. |

01-15-23 | Ravens v. Bengals UNDER 40.5 | Top | 17-24 | Loss | -110 | 9 h 26 m | Show |
The Bengals and Ravens play for the second consecutive week - and the third time this season - on Sunday night in a wild-card playoff game. The AFC North rivals know each other pretty well by now. "They know what we try to do on offense, we know what they try to do on defense," Cincinnati quarterback Joe Burrow said. "So they try to take away our bread-and-butter stuff, and they're pretty good at it." But it's the playoffs, so there's bound to be some surprises and extra intensity when the teams meet again in Cincinnati on Sunday night. Baltimore is especially motivated after going 8-9 last season and missing the playoffs for the first time in four seasons, then watching the Bengals make a Super Bowl run. |

01-14-23 | Chargers v. Jaguars +2.5 | Top | 30-31 | Win | 100 | 9 h 42 m | Show |
Trevor Lawrence feels as if he's been in the playoffs the past two months. Lawrence and the Jacksonville Jaguars were 3-7 and four games behind division-leading Tennessee in late November. It was clear they needed to find ways to start winning close games. Lawrence easily could have panicked or even packed it in. Instead, he and the Jaguars picked it up and won six of seven down the stretch, clinching the AFC South and returning to the playoffs for the first time since 2017. Now, Lawrence will make his official postseason debut when the Jaguars (9-8) host fellow playoff newcomer Justin Herbert and the Los Angeles Chargers (10-7) in a wild-card game Saturday night. It could be the first of many postseason trips for two of the NFL's youngest rising stars. |

01-02-23 | Tulane v. USC UNDER 62.5 | Top | 46-45 | Loss | -110 | 143 h 13 m | Show |
Two 11-2 teams meet in the Cotton Bowl on Monday in Arlington, Texas, when No. 16 Tulane takes on No. 10 Southern California. Both squads are coming off appearances in their conference championship games. The Green Wave beat UCF for the American Athletic Conference crown, while the Trojans fell to Utah in the Pac-12's title bout. Tulane is playing in its fourth bowl game in the past five seasons, but this may be the biggest bowl game the Green Wave have played in since they faced Texas A&M in the 1940 Sugar Bowl. Tulane has a chance to win a New Year's Six bowl, beat a Power 5 opponent and achieve just the second 12-win season in program history. For USC, an appearance in the Cotton Bowl caps off a remarkable one-year turnaround under first-year head coach Lincoln Riley. The Trojans went 4-8 last season -- marking just the third time in program history that that USC took that many defeats. With Riley on the sideline and Heisman Trophy winner Caleb Williams at quarterback, the Trojans won double-digit games for the first time in five seasons. USC enters the Cotton Bowl with the nation's third-best scoring offense at 41.1 points per game. Williams sustained a hamstring injury in the loss to Utah but aims to play in the bowl game. |

01-01-23 | Vikings +3.5 v. Packers | Top | 17-41 | Loss | -110 | 55 h 32 m | Show |
The Packers can be eliminated from the playoff picture if they lose Sunday and either the Commanders win at home against the Cleveland Browns (6-9) or the Detroit Lions (7-8) win at home against the Chicago Bears (3-12). The Browns-Commanders game and Bears-Lions matchup should be finishing up right around the time the Packers and Vikings have their opening kickoff. Minnesota (12-3) is seeking its first regular-season sweep of the Packers (7-8) since 2017. The Vikings went 1-0-1 against Green Bay in 2018. |
|||||||
01-01-23 | Panthers v. Bucs -3 | Top | 24-30 | Win | 100 | 51 h 20 m | Show |
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Carolina Panthers don't have to sort through a bunch of potential tiebreaker scenarios to know what they need to do to win the NFC South and host a first-round playoff game. Beat the Panthers on Sunday at Raymond James Stadium, and Tom Brady and the first-place Bucs (7-8) will repeat as division champions and earn a postseason berth for the third straight year regardless of what happens in the final week of the regular season. Carolina (6-9), which has won four of its past six games to play its way back into contention after firing its coach and trading its best player, can claim its first NFC South title by closing with victories over Tampa Bay and New Orleans. "We know what this game entails," Panthers interim coach Steve Wilks said. "There is no reason to talk about it." |

12-31-22 | Ohio State v. Georgia UNDER 62.5 | Top | 41-42 | Loss | -110 | 103 h 7 m | Show |
Ohio State's blueprint for winning the College Football Playoff championship will be staring the No. 4 Buckeyes in the face when they play No. 1 Georgia in a semifinal game at the Peach Bowl in Atlanta on Saturday. The Buckeyes (11-1) are coming off a 45-23 thrashing by second-ranked Michigan on Nov. 26 in Columbus, Ohio, and are only in the playoffs thanks to Southern California losing to Utah in the Pac-12 championship game, enabling Ohio State to be awarded the final spot. Critics would say the Buckeyes don't deserve a shot at the Bulldogs (13-0) after being manhandled by the Wolverines for the second year in a row. Ohio State coach Ryan Day said his players understand their underdog role. "I see a team that realizes that not a lot of people give us a chance," he said. "We know what we're in for, we know what the challenge is. Years and seasons and life doesn't always go the way you plan. It's about how you react to it and how you respond to it. "As much as that (Michigan) loss hurts, we're not going to overreact on it. It's not worth it. We have a game against Georgia ahead of us that we're focusing on." |
|||||||
12-30-22 | South Carolina v. Notre Dame UNDER 52 | Top | 38-45 | Loss | -110 | 113 h 24 m | Show |
Tyler Buchner opened the season as Notre Dame's starting quarterback. Then an injury in early September forced him from the role. A speedy recovery coupled with the transfer of replacement Drew Pyne — who steered the team to an 8-2 record — now have Buchner prepared to lead the No. 21 Fighting Irish into the Gator Bowl against No. 19 South Carolina on Dec. 30 in Jacksonville, Fla. Talk about a whirlwind, right? "You never really envision it going this way," Buchner said. "When you're announced as the starter and then you're hurt (in) Week 2, you lose two games. It's never the way you picture it. But you learn a lot through that. "I feel like getting hurt wasn't the worst thing that could have ever happened to me." Notre Dame (8-4) entered the fall with a No. 5 ranking but started the season with losses to eventual College Football Playoff entrant Ohio State and unranked Marshall. Buchner went 28-for-50 for 378 yards and two interceptions while rushing for two touchdowns before injuring the AC joint in his non-throwing shoulder. While watching games in the press box alongside offensive coordinator Tommy Rees brought Buchner valuable seasoning, the Fighting Irish know there may be some bumps, especially early in the game. It won't be Notre Dame's lone obstacle. Tight end Michael Mayer and defensive lineman Isaiah Foskey, both team captains, announced this month their intent to forego the bowl game to prepare for the NFL Draft. |

12-29-22 | Cowboys v. Titans +13 | Top | 27-13 | Loss | -110 | 10 h 48 m | Show |
The Dallas Cowboys and Tennessee Titans are desperately chasing division titles as the regular season winds to a close. Their approach Thursday night will be very different. Dallas (11-4) still has some hope of a second straight NFC East title with the Cowboys needing to win their final two games with Philadelphia losing at least once. Surviving Thursday night as healthy as possible is Tennessee's top priority. The only way the Titans (7-8) can win a third consecutive AFC South title is by beating the Jaguars in Jacksonville in Week 18. So if coach Mike Vrabel wants to rest as many of his Titans as possible, that's just fine with the Cowboys. "If they want to roll us the ball a couple of times and let us go from there, I'm all for that," Dallas quarterback Dak Prescott said. "We'll take it however they want to do it." Dallas has won five of six, including a 10-point comeback last week for a 40-34 win to keep Philadelphia from clinching home-field advantage throughout the postseason in the NFC. Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott couldn't agree more, even with a postseason berth already secure. |
|||||||
12-29-22 | Minnesota v. Syracuse +10 | Top | 28-20 | Win | 100 | 88 h 8 m | Show |
Minnesota and Syracuse feature standout running backs in Mohamed Ibrahim and Sean Tucker but only one star will actually play in Yankee Stadium. Ibrahim will attempt to complete his remarkable comeback from a ruptured Achilles on Thursday when his Golden Gophers make their first appearance in the Pinstripe Bowl against the Orange, who hope another running back can compensate for Tucker's absence. Last season, Ibrahim was injured in the opening game against Ohio State after rushing for 1,076 yards in seven games during the 2020 season. This year, he was the nation's fourth-leading rusher with 1,594 yards and a finalist for the Doak Walker Award. His 19 rushing touchdowns were tied for second in the nation. |
|||||||
12-28-22 | Central Florida +3.5 v. Duke | Top | 13-30 | Loss | -115 | 64 h 23 m | Show |
Duke is bowl-eligible for the first time since 2018. To cap off Mike Elko's first season at the helm, the Blue Devils draw UCF in Annapolis, Md. at the Military Bowl on Wednesday. Should Duke (8-4) beat the Knights (9-4), it will give the Blue Devils just their seventh season of nine or more wins in program history. Duke has only had two seasons with that many wins since it joined the ACC in 1953. Both of those campaigns came under the previous coach, David Cutcliffe. But Cutcliffe's Duke teams floundered near the end of his tenure, and the Blue Devils went a combined 10-25 from 2019 to 2021. Elko quickly got the program back on the right track in his first season. Duke had a winning record in ACC play (5-3) for the first time since 2014. Elko was named ACC Coach of the Year and is a semifinalist for the George Munger Coach of the Year award. |

12-27-22 | Georgia Southern v. Buffalo +4 | Top | 21-23 | Win | 100 | 39 h 36 m | Show |
Kyle Vantrease was the starting quarterback at Buffalo last season. This year, Vantrease starts at Georgia Southern against his former team in the Camellia Bowl on Tuesday in Montgomery, Ala. Georgia Southern (6-6) will be participating in a bowl game for the fifth time; the Eagles are 3-1 and won the 2018 Camellia Bowl. Buffalo (6-6) is in its sixth bowl game; the Bulls are 2-3 and won the 2020 Camellia Bowl. This will be the first meeting between the two teams. Georgia Southern, in its first season under coach Clay Helton, became bowl-eligible by beating Appalachian State 51-48 in double overtime in the final game of the season. Buffalo became eligible for the postseason by with a last-minute 23-22 win over Akron in their season finale. |
|||||||
12-26-22 | Chargers v. Colts OVER 45.5 | Top | 20-3 | Loss | -110 | 23 h 5 m | Show |
The Indianapolis Colts haven't changed the game plan. They're still trying to run first, still relying on a stout defense and still trying to win games despite their ever-changing circumstances. Indy has played most of this season without three-time All-Pro linebacker Shaquille Leonard, will be missing 2021 NFL rushing champ, Jonathan Taylor, for the final three games because of an ankle injury, and heads into Monday night's matchup against the Los Angeles Chargers with its third starting quarterback, Nick Foles. Interim coach Jeff Saturday made the move for one simple reason. "It's no secret, we haven't converted in the red zone and ultimately, you've got to make plays in the NFL and we're not making nearly enough explosive plays and not making plays in the red zone," he said when announcing Matt Ryan was getting benched again. "I feel like Nick will give us a better chance to go win these last three games." It's an odd move. Indy (4-9-1) was mathematically eliminated from playoff contention with Jacksonville's win over the New York Jets on Thursday, before taking the field for its third and final prime-time game of the season. Plus, Saturday went with the 33-year-old Foles over 24-year-old Sam Ehlinger, who went 0-2 as the starter earlier this year. |

12-24-22 | Middle Tennessee State +7 v. San Diego State | Top | 25-23 | Win | 100 | 10 h 0 m | Show |
Last year, it was the Bahamas. This year, it's Hawaii. No Group of 5 programs has fared better at scoring tropical bowl destinations the last two seasons than Middle Tennessee. The Blue Raiders will try to turn their nine-hour plane trip to Honolulu into a win in the Hawaii Bowl against San Diego State on Saturday. "Two melatonins before I get on the plane to get as much sleep as I can," said safety Teldrick Ross of the trip across four time zones and an ocean. "That way, if I can cut the plane ride down to only like four or five and a half hours, I'll take it." Middle Tennessee (7-5) has become a bowl regular under veteran coach Rick Stockstill. The former Florida State quarterback has taken the team to 10 bowls in his 17 seasons on the job, and his 108 wins in Murfreesboro are the third most in program history. The Blue Raiders' 2022 highlight was a 45-31 win at Miami on Sept. 24, sending the Hurricanes out of the rankings for good. Middle Tennessee quarterback Chase Cunningham threw for 408 yards that day, and he has thrown for 2,920 yards in 11 games with 19 touchdowns and nine interceptions. The team's defensive leader is safety Tra Fluellen, who has 97 tackles and seven pass breakups. |

12-24-22 | Commanders v. 49ers UNDER 37.5 | Top | 20-37 | Loss | -110 | 6 h 18 m | Show |
The stakes for the San Francisco 49ers down the stretch of the season aren't particularly high after they clinched the NFC West last week. The Niners are most likely slotted into either the second or third seed in the NFC with a possible second-round home playoff game in the balance. The situation is very different for Washington (7-6-1) heading into Saturday's game at San Francisco (10-4) after the Commanders lost last week to the New York Giants, putting a dent into their playoff hopes. Washington is clinging to the seventh seed but could fall out of playoff position with another loss. "I think that's a big part of the mentality that we have to take is that we've got to go out and we've got to play our best," coach Ron Rivera said. "We've got to get some things corrected and fixed and ready to go. We can't struggle in some of the areas that we have lately. Those things have to be addressed and they are being addressed." The biggest issues for the Commanders are on offense after they were held to 32 points combined in back-to-back games against the Giants and struggled to finish drives in the red zone. Now they're set to face the NFL's stingiest defense. |

12-24-22 | Bengals v. Patriots OVER 41 | Top | 22-18 | Loss | -114 | 3 h 29 m | Show |
It was 2020, the NFL draft was looming, and the world was on the brink of going into hibernation because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Joe Burrow was in Miami walking out of a steakhouse with then-Detroit Lions coach Matt Patricia following a pre-draft dinner. He glanced up and saw someone else he recognized: Patriots coach Bill Belichick. "I just went up and introduced myself," Burrow recalled this week. Was there any nervousness about meeting one of the NFL's most revered coaches? "I didn't really think about it," Burrow said. "I figured he knew who I was. I just went up and introduced myself. Nothing crazy." Two years later, the pair will meet under many different circumstances. Burrow and the defending AFC champion Cincinnati Bengals have a chance to close in on their second straight AFC North title when they visit a Patriots team that seems far removed from its most recent Super Bowl win, which came after the 2018 season. Cincinnati (10-4) enters Saturday's game on a six-game win streak and holds a one-game division lead over Baltimore. New England (7-7) has lost three of its last four games and entered the week one game outside the final AFC playoff spot. |
|||||||
12-24-22 | Bills v. Bears UNDER 40.5 | Top | 35-13 | Loss | -110 | 3 h 16 m | Show |
The Buffalo Bills still have a few important goals to achieve before they turn their attention toward the biggest prize of all. They can clinch their third straight AFC East title this week, and a No. 1 seed playoff seed is in sight. For all the prizes out there, coach Sean McDermott insisted the focus is simply on beating the struggling Bears when his team visits frigid Chicago on Saturday. "We're facing a Chicago Bears team that is playing really good football right now and they play extremely hard," he said. "I think Coach (Matt) Eberflus has done a great job of changing that culture, perhaps, at least from the outside looking in, in terms of how they're playing." The Bills (11-3) clinched their fourth straight playoff berth with last week's win over Miami and would lock up the division with a win or tie against Chicago (3-11). A loss or tie by the Dolphins against Green Bay would also do it. Buffalo has the inside track toward the top seed in the AFC - and the first-round bye and home-field advantage through the conference championship game that comes with it. |

12-23-22 | Wake Forest v. Missouri UNDER 59 | Top | 27-17 | Win | 100 | 8 h 16 m | Show |
Sam Hartman takes the field for the final time as Wake Forest quarterback when the Demon Deacons face Missouri in the Dec. 23 Gasparilla Bowl at Tampa, Fla. The record-setting signal-caller has decided to play in the bowl game but made it clear last month that he isn't returning to Wake. "No shot," Hartman said. Hartman, 23, is weighing whether to enter the NFL draft or transfer to another school for the sixth season. Schools needing a quarterback are preparing possible name, image, and likeness deals. "Whatever decision Sam makes we support him," Demon Deacons coach Dave Clawson told reporters. "Again, I think right now his intention is to go to the NFL. When the bowl game is over if there's some incredible offer for him to go to another school and get life-changing money, how can we fault him for that? So it's a good problem to have, and he's going to have many good options." Hartman has passed for 3,421 yards, 35 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions this season. He enters his final contest for Wake Forest (7-5) with a record easily in reach. Hartman is tied for the ACC career passing touchdowns record at 107 with former Clemson star Tajh Boyd (2010-13). |
|||||||
12-21-22 | South Alabama -3 v. Western Kentucky | Top | 23-44 | Loss | -120 | 9 h 5 m | Show |
South Alabama will hope to put a bow on its most successful FBS season by winning a bowl game for the first time in program history. At the end of a 10-2 season, South Alabama was selected to play in the New Orleans Bowl against Western Kentucky on Wednesday inside the Superdome. The Jaguars had never finished a season over .500 since joining FBS in 2012. Their only two losses this year came by one point on the road against UCLA in September and by four points to rival Troy in October. Troy and South Alabama ended up tied atop the Sun Belt West, so Troy advanced to the Sun Belt title game and won the conference championship. A trip to New Orleans is not a bad consolation prize for the Jaguars, who are 0-2 in bowl games. Second-year coach Kane Wommack, who received a contract extension earlier this month, said the bowl trip is both a reward and a way to carry momentum into spring practices. |
|||||||
12-21-22 | South Alabama v. Western Kentucky UNDER 58 | Top | 23-44 | Loss | -110 | 9 h 1 m | Show |
The Jaguars are led by quarterback Carter Bradley (2,976 passing yards, 25 touchdowns) and running back La'Damian Webb (1,014 rushing yards, 13 touchdowns). Western Kentucky (8-5) will play in its ninth bowl game in 11 years. The Hilltoppers won three of their final four games, including a 32-31 overtime win over Florida Atlantic in their regular-season finale. After FAU scored first, Western Kentucky quarterback Austin Reed ran in a 1-yard touchdown and threw the game-winning two-point conversion to Joshua Simon. Reed, who transferred from Division II West Florida, was named Conference USA's Newcomer of the Year after throwing for 4,249 yards and 36 touchdowns, ranking second and fourth in FBS, respectively. |

12-20-22 | Eastern Michigan v. San Jose State OVER 53 | Top | 41-27 | Win | 100 | 5 h 36 m | Show |
Eastern Michigan and San Jose State might not have extensive bowl histories in their respective programs, but believe it or not, there is bowl history with one another. When the teams collide on Dec. 20 in the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl, it will be the second meeting in a bowl game between the Eagles and Spartans. The teams also met in the 1987 California Bowl, where Eastern Michigan earned what still is its only bowl win in school history, a 30-27 triumph. Now, 35 years later, the teams will hook up in the postseason once again. Eastern Michigan enters with an 8-4 record and will be making its seventh appearance all-time in a bowl game. It is also the fourth time in the last five seasons the Eagles will be in a bowl game. The Eagles have lost all four of those games, but three of them were by a combined 10 points. |
|||||||
12-19-22 | Rams +7.5 v. Packers | Top | 12-24 | Loss | -110 | 4 h 49 m | Show |
This can't be what the NFL's schedule-makers and ESPN executives had in mind. When the league's slate of prime-time games came out in the spring, a mid-December matchup between the Super Bowl champion Los Angeles Rams and the three-time defending NFC North champion Green Bay Packers at Lambeau Field sounded like TV rating gold. Surely visions of gorgeous wide-angle shots of the falling snow and big-time playoff implications were dancing in their heads. But instead of a playoff preview, the "Monday Night Football" audience will get two of the NFL's most disappointing teams when the Rams (4-9) visit the Packers (5-8). Although both teams are still mathematically in playoff contention, the Rams have assured a sub-.500 record and the Packers could win out and still miss the postseason for the first time under coach Matt LaFleur. |
|||||||
12-18-22 | Lions v. Jets -1 | Top | 20-17 | Loss | -116 | 2 h 57 m | Show |
Robert Saleh is always quick to remind people he's an eternal optimist, thinking the best-case scenario in every situation. That's why it wasn't necessarily so stunning to hear the New York Jets coach declare after his team's loss to the Buffalo Bills last Sunday that the squads would meet again - in the playoffs. Saleh is also a realist. He knows in order for the Jets to snap their 11-year postseason drought, which is the NFL's longest active skid, they've got plenty more winning to do. And it needs to start Sunday at MetLife Stadium against a roaring Detroit Lions squad that has won five of its past six. "We're going to get everyone's absolute best shot because they're fighting for their lives, too," Saleh said. "And that's why we strive for December football. This is the fun stuff." After the game Sunday comes a Thursday night home game against Jacksonville (5-8) before road games at Seattle (7-6) and Miami (8-5). |

12-17-22 | Boise State v. North Texas +12.5 | Top | 35-32 | Win | 100 | 11 h 41 m | Show |
Some might see the Frisco Bowl as a comedown for Boise State, considering it lost out on a Mountain West Conference title and a chance to play a Power 5 program in a bowl game. However, Broncos coach Andy Avalos says the team's appearance in Saturday night's Frisco Bowl in Frisco, Texas, against North Texas isn't the letdown many believe it is. "It's a big deal. For us, we're grateful to be in this bowl game," he said Monday. Whether it's because it's the Broncos' first bowl game since 2019 because of COVID-19 or because the Dallas Cowboys are allowing the team to practice at their facility, Boise State sounds like a team ready to play in a pre-Christmas bowl game. The Broncos (9-4) could have played Washington State in the LA Jimmy Kimmel Bowl, but instead fell 28-16 to Fresno State in the MWC championship game. That knocked them down the league's pecking order for bowl bids. Instead of playing in SoFi Stadium, the home of two NFL teams that are already hosted a Super Bowl, Boise State instead plays in a soccer-specific stadium outside of Dallas. But Avalos said early practices have been intense. |

12-17-22 | BYU +4.5 v. SMU | Top | 24-23 | Win | 100 | 9 h 41 m | Show |
When the football is kicked off in Saturday's New Mexico Bowl between SMU and BYU, the fans in attendance can expect plenty of fireworks -- in the form of points on the scoreboard. The high-powered offenses of SMU Mustangs coach Rhett Lashlee and BYU Cougars coach Kalani Sitake will take the field against a pair of struggling defensive units in a matchup that Vegas oddsmakers expect to feature tons of points. While BYU is a 1.5-point favorite, the most intriguing number is the over-under -- set at a lofty 74 points. Averaging 38.4 points in a 7-5 season, SMU was a part of history on Nov. 5 when it beat Houston 77-63 in the highest-scoring regulation contest in FBS history. Quarterback Tanner Mordecai threw for a program and American Athletic Conference record nine touchdowns and rushed for another. Meanwhile, BYU's defense has been costly for the Cougars during their 7-5 campaign. In a stretch of mediocre play, the unit likely cost them in losses to Arkansas, East Carolina, Liberty, and Notre Dame. Sitake's defense ranked 93rd in the nation, allowing 409.7 yards per game, but new defensive coordinator/associate head coach Jay Hill vows to improve that. |

12-17-22 | Rice v. Southern Miss UNDER 45.5 | Top | 24-38 | Loss | -110 | 7 h 7 m | Show |
For the first time since 2014, Rice qualified for a bowl game, with former conference foe Southern Miss on tap in the LendingTree Bowl on Saturday in Mobile, Ala. Rice (5-7) posted its best regular-season record under fifth-year coach Mike Bloomgren, even with a win total not normally good enough for bowl eligibility. When only 79 FBS teams reached six wins and three more bowl berths remained, the 5-7 teams with the highest academic progress rates (APR) were selected to fill out the remaining spots. The Owls had the highest APR of the group, a 994 rating of a possible 1,000. The metric measures student-athlete eligibility and retention. |
|||||||
12-17-22 | Colts +4 v. Vikings | Top | 36-39 | Win | 100 | 1 h 28 m | Show |
There's a connectivity and resiliency these Minnesota Vikings have crafted and harvested, helping put them on the brink of a division title despite being cumulatively outscored by their opponents. Time for another test of that character. After allowing 400-plus yards for a franchise-record fifth straight game in a defeat last week at Detroit, the Vikings (10-3) will take another crack at clinching when they host Indianapolis (4-8-1) on Saturday. The NFC North crown will be theirs with a win or a loss by the Lions. Though the Vikings were far more competitive than in earlier setbacks against Philadelphia and Dallas, the loss in Detroit furthers external doubts about whether their defense is strong enough for a deep run through the playoffs. |

12-15-22 | 49ers v. Seahawks +4 | Top | 21-13 | Loss | -110 | 4 h 2 m | Show |
A few years ago, Kyle Shanahan celebrated his first division title as San Francisco's coach in the visiting locker room at Seattle after a Sunday night game on the final day of the season that was nearly decided on the final snap. Shanahan and the 49ers can repeat what they accomplished in 2019 and wrap up another NFC West title on Thursday night in Seattle against the Seahawks, but with far less stress this time. San Francisco (9-4) is the hottest team in the NFL, having won six straight, the longest active streak in the league. The 49ers have won each of their past four games by double digits, including last week's 35-7 thumping of Tampa Bay. Since their last loss at Kansas City in Week 7, the 49ers have not allowed an opponent to score more than 16 points, and a win on Thursday would be the earliest in the season they have clinched a division title since 2011. |

12-11-22 | Dolphins v. Chargers UNDER 55 | Top | 17-23 | Win | 100 | 9 h 13 m | Show |
Draft Class of 2020 alums Tua Tagovailoa and Justin Herbert are preparing to face each other for the second time - and with more at stake for their respective teams. Both quarterbacks are trying to do something classmates Joe Burrow and Jalen Hurts have already accomplished: get to the postseason. Tagovailoa and the Miami Dolphins bring an 8-4 record into Sunday night's showdown and are in a position to make the playoffs for the first time since 2016. Herbert's Los Angeles Chargers (6-6) haven't been to the postseason since 2018 and sit one game behind the New York Jets for the final spot in the AFC. Tagovailoa was the fifth overall pick three years ago while Herbert went one spot later. Herbert said it has been tough to build camaraderie with his classmates because of how COVID-19 affected the draft. |

12-11-22 | Chiefs v. Broncos OVER 44 | Top | 34-28 | Win | 100 | 5 h 55 m | Show |
Forget "We're on to Cincinnati." The catchphrase coined eight years ago by Bill Belichick after the Patriots were blown out at Kansas City was updated this week by Chiefs coach Andy Reid following his team's latest loss to the Bengals. Now, it's "We're over Cincinnati." Reid was peppered with questions this week about the Chiefs (9-3) bouncing back after squandering a chance to maintain control of the AFC playoff race when they blew another late lead in a 27-24 loss to Cincinnati last weekend. That marked the third time this calendar year Joe Burrow got the best of Patrick Mahomes, including last year's conference championship at Arrowhead Stadium. After about the fourth question, Reid made it clear his focus was on the Broncos, not the Bengals. Same with Mahomes, who is 41-9 in games after Halloween over his career and has never lost to the Broncos (3-9) in nine tries. |

12-11-22 | Vikings v. Lions UNDER 51.5 | Top | 23-34 | Loss | -110 | 2 h 55 m | Show |
The Minnesota Vikings have won enough to be in a position to clinch the NFC North with almost a month left in the regular season. The Vikings (10-2) have won nine of their last 10 games, a string of success that started in September with a comeback win over Detroit and has been marked by one-possession games to raise questions about how good they are. The Lions (5-7), meanwhile, have won four of five games and have earned enough respect to be favored to beat Minnesota by 1 1/2 points, per FanDuel Sportsbook. It's the first time in the Super Bowl era that a 5-7 team is favored over a 10-2 team, according to Sportsradar. Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins certainly isn't apologizing for winning nine games by eight or fewer points. |

12-03-22 | Clemson v. North Carolina UNDER 64 | Top | 39-10 | Win | 100 | 10 h 34 m | Show |
A few weeks ago, the ACC Championship Game looked like it might be a play-in for the College Football Playoff before Clemson dropped two late-season decisions, now going against North Carolina for a shot at a New Year's bowl instead. That makes two straight playoffs that Clemson won't be in after the team's offensive output took a sharp downturn the last two seasons with DJ Uiagalelei at quarterback as the unit has struggled under his leadership, even if the team's front seven defensive unit remains one of the nation's most impressive. |

12-01-22 | Bills v. Patriots +4 | Top | 24-10 | Loss | -110 | 2 h 31 m | Show |
The most recent time the Bills faced the Patriots, they left little doubt about their status as the pacesetter in the AFC East. Buffalo walked off the field with a 47-17 win in the wild-card round of the playoffs this past January, demoralizing a New England team that was celebrating being back in the postseason after a one-year absence. The Bills (8-3) will look to add to their recent run of success in a rivalry once dominated by the Patriots (6-5) during their latest trip to New England. Buffalo enters Thursday night's matchup the winners of three of the past four regular-season meetings and is in second place in the AFC's only division in which all four teams are above .500. But it has yet to notch a division win with close losses to Miami and the New York Jets. Both setbacks were on the road, a fact not lost on quarterback Josh Allen. |

11-28-22 | Steelers +2.5 v. Colts | Top | 24-17 | Win | 100 | 8 h 8 m | Show |
Jeff Saturday knows the score. The Indianapolis Colts have lost seven straight to the Pittsburgh Steelers since last winning 14 years ago - when Saturday was still in the prime of his playing career. And if Indy hopes to change anything in this lopsided series, he understands the Colts must be more focused, more precise, and more efficient Monday night. "We talked about just embracing the moment, having fun with it, appreciating it, and then performing at your best when you have these moments and opportunities," he said. "It's a huge challenge, and, obviously, Pittsburgh brings its own set of battles here." For the Colts (4-6-1), winning this one is a must if they hope to revitalize their rapidly fading playoff hopes. They've lost their past two home games - both 17-16 after the defense gave up a touchdown in the final 90 seconds and the offense couldn't move into field-goal position. Another agonizing loss to the Steelers could spell doom again for longtime Colts fans who have seen Pittsburgh repeatedly dash their dreams. |

11-27-22 | Saints v. 49ers UNDER 43.5 | Top | 0-13 | Win | 100 | 6 h 2 m | Show |
Coach Kyle Shanahan knows it's a challenge to keep all of his playmakers involved in the San Francisco 49ers' offense after the addition of Christian McCaffrey. Imagine how hard it is to defend a group that features McCaffrey and Elijah Mitchell at running back, receivers Deebo Samuel and Brandon Aiyuk, and versatile tight end George Kittle. That's the task the New Orleans Saints (4-7) face Sunday when they visit the streaking Niners (6-4). "They've got playmakers at the receiver position, they've got playmakers at the tight end position. They've got playmakers in the running back position," coach Dennis Allen said. "That makes it challenging in terms of, `Who are you trying to take away?' ... It makes it tough." The 49ers struck that perfect balance in last week's win over Arizona with Aiyuk and Kittle each catching two TD passes, McCaffrey gaining 106 yards from scrimmage, Samuel scoring on a 39-yard TD run and Mitchell wearing down the Cardinals on the ground in the second half. Shanahan knows that won't happen every week but was pleased to see it work out that way against Arizona. |

11-27-22 | Raiders v. Seahawks UNDER 48 | Top | 40-34 | Loss | -110 | 6 h 50 m | Show |
There was an underrated aspect to what the Seattle Seahawks accomplished through their first 10 games and their surprising surge to the top of the NFC West. They did most of it away from home and flew plenty of miles in the process - most recently to Germany, where they lost to Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers before their bye week. That changes beginning Sunday, when the Seahawks (6-4) return to Lumen Field and host the Las Vegas Raiders. Seattle, which is tied with San Francisco atop the NFC West, plays five of its final seven games at home and only has one more game outside the Pacific time zone. "I'm tired of traveling. I'm tired of being on planes, leaving on Friday or Saturday," wide receiver DK Metcalf said. "I'm just happy to be back in front of the 12s (Seattle's fans) for five more games. I know they are excited to have us back." And Seattle's opponents during this upcoming stretch look less daunting than they did when the season began. The Seahawks' next three games are against teams with three wins apiece: the Raiders, the Los Angeles Rams and Carolina. |
|||||||
11-27-22 | Chargers v. Cardinals UNDER 48.5 | Top | 25-24 | Loss | -106 | 6 h 47 m | Show |
Say what you want about the Los Angeles Chargers - at least they're interesting. They had four straight games earlier in the season during which they trailed by double digits at the end of the first quarter and won three of them. They've led at the end of the first quarter the last two weeks and lost. Los Angeles is 1-3 this season when leading at the end of the first quarter, but 3-1 when trailing. It makes sense that after all those ups and downs, the Chargers are stuck with a 5-5 record when they travel to face the Arizona Cardinals (4-7) on Sunday. The Chargers are coming off a tough 30-27 loss to the Chiefs last Sunday. Kansas City scored a touchdown with 31 seconds left to rally for the win. "What happened last week and the week before that, it's part of the league," Chargers coach Brandon Staley said. "You're going to have stretches like that where you have really tough ones that you feel like you are right there and you don't make them. |
|||||||
11-27-22 | Raiders +3.5 v. Seahawks | Top | 40-34 | Win | 100 | 6 h 32 m | Show |
Las Vegas (3-7) snapped a three-game skid with last week's overtime win at Denver and in the process gave the Seahawks a boost. Every Denver loss improves Seattle's draft position as owners of the Broncos' first-round pick next season. (Denver got Russell Wilson out of that deal, which isn't looking so great for the Broncos.) The Raiders have lost five road games this season, four by one score. "We don't know this team very well, so our team is hard at work in terms of learning the personnel, the scheme, the challenges they present in all three phases," Raiders coach Josh McDaniels said. "And then obviously, going out there and playing in Seattle, it's always a different atmosphere. A very challenging place to play. So, a lot of hard work ahead of us here." |

11-27-22 | Bears +6 v. Jets | Top | 10-31 | Loss | -110 | 24 h 17 m | Show |
Mike White's phone rang Tuesday and it was Robert Saleh delivering some big news. The New York Jets coach was making a change at quarterback with Zach Wilson out and White tapped to start Sunday at home against the Chicago Bears. "It lasted all of 30 seconds," Saleh said of the conversation. "I said, `Hi, Mike, how are you doing?' He said, `Good.' I said, `You ready to roll, man?' He said, `Yep,' and I said, `All right, I'll see ya tomorrow.'" And just like that, the biggest decision so far of the playoff-hungry Jets' season was sealed. "Initially, just excited," White said of his reaction. "It's just what every player in this locker room wants is a chance to compete and prove themselves. But more importantly, it's just a chance to be a good teammate and help the team and worry about the team first." The Jets' decision to bench the underachieving Wilson was framed by Saleh as a mental and physical "reset" for the second-year quarterback. New York is also in the thick of the AFC playoff hunt at 6-4, and would be in the postseason right now after New England's loss Thursday night to Minnesota. So this game against the Bears (3-8), who have lost four straight and six of seven, could serve as an opportunity for the Jets to get right after a 10-3 loss at New England last Sunday. But it won't be the spicy quarterback matchup most were expecting when the schedule was announced in May with Wilson, the No. 2 pick last year, taking on the Bears' Justin Fields, who went nine selections later. |

11-27-22 | Bengals v. Titans UNDER 43 | Top | 20-16 | Win | 100 | 3 h 48 m | Show |
Revenge is not on the menu, at least not for the Titans even with Cincinnati visiting Music City for the first time since the Bengals ended Tennessee's run as the AFC's No. 1 seed last January. Oh, Tennessee fans might revel in the opportunity for a little payback for the Super Bowl berth they wanted so badly. With so much roster changeover, these Titans insist this season's playoff chase has their attention Sunday - not their divisional loss. "More than half of our team did not even play in that game," Titans coach Mike Vrabel said of a roster that has played 25 different players on defense alone this season. These teams have more in common than that playoff game with both starting this season 0-2 before rebounding. Tennessee (7-3) has won seven of eight, including a 27-17 win at Green Bay on Nov. 17, giving the banged-up Titans a much-needed long weekend off. Cincinnati (6-4) has won four of five, including a 37-30 win at Pittsburgh last weekend for the defending AFC North champs' first division win this season. The Titans sit atop the AFC South with a nice lead, chasing their third straight division title. They rallied with Derrick Henry leading the NFL in rushing again and a defense that has been among the league's stingiest since being blown out in Week 2 in Buffalo. |

11-26-22 | Southern Miss v. UL-Monroe UNDER 51 | Top | 20-10 | Win | 100 | 6 h 12 m | Show |
Under is 13-5 in Golden Eagles' last 18 road games, while the Under is 7-1 in Warhawks' last 8 games following an ATS loss and 5-0 in Warhawks' last 5 games after scoring less than 20 points in their previous game |

11-26-22 | Iowa State +10 v. TCU | Top | 14-62 | Loss | -110 | 5 h 18 m | Show |
No. 4 TCU looks to keep its undefeated campaign intact and take its next step toward a berth in the College Football Playoff when it hosts struggling Iowa State on Saturday in Fort Worth, Texas. The Horned Frogs (11-0, 8-0 Big 12) have already clinched a spot in the league championship game on Dec. 3 in Arlington, Texas, where they will play either No. 12 Kansas State or No. 23 Texas. And while the Big 12 title will be up for grabs in that game, TCU has a bigger goal -- beating Iowa State to remain in the top four of the CFP rankings. How TCU got to this point without a loss is a story in itself, especially in its most recent game. That's when the Horned Frogs needed a fire-drill, last-second field goal from Griffin Kell to beat Baylor 29-28 on the road last Saturday to stay unbeaten. TCU scored the game's final nine points over the last 2:07. Max Duggan completed 24 of 35 passes for 327 yards while leading TCU in rushing with 50 yards on eight carries, including a 7-yard touchdown. Taye Barber had a team-best five receptions for 108 yards, his second 100-yard game of the season and the fourth of his career. |

11-26-22 | Iowa State v. TCU UNDER 46.5 | Top | 14-62 | Loss | -110 | 5 h 16 m | Show |
The Cyclones (4-7, 1-7 Big 12) head to the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex to finish their season. A 14-10 loss to Texas Tech last Saturday assured that Iowa State would not play in a bowl game for the first time since 2016. The loss was the second straight for the Cyclones, who fell to the cellar in the conference standings. Iowa State has just one win -- over West Virginia -- since September. Six of its seven defeats have come by seven points or fewer. Hunter Dekkers led the Cyclones with 294 yards passing in the loss to Texas Tech, with 101 of those going to Xavier Hutchinson. Iowa State outgained Texas Tech 422-246 in total yards and possessed the ball for more than 36 minutes but also missed a field goal and had another one blocked. Iowa State coach Matt Campbell said the fact that his team won't play in a bowl "tears him apart." |

11-26-22 | Akron v. Northern Illinois UNDER 53.5 | Top | 44-12 | Loss | -110 | 3 h 50 m | Show |
Akron has lost nine straight games after winning their season opener against FCS foe St. Francis. The 1-9 (0-6 MAC) Zips have one more chance to notch a win against an FBS team this year as they’ll look to shock the Huskies at home. Northern Illinois, one of the preseason favorites to win the MAC, has suffered injury after injury. The Huskies have dropped five one-score games this season and have fallen to 3-8 (2-5 MAC)...their worst full season since 2007. |

11-26-22 | Kent State v. Buffalo UNDER 52.5 | Top | 30-27 | Loss | -110 | 2 h 23 m | Show |
The Bulls resume their schedule after a 17-day layoff. Kent State, meanwhile, hasn’t played since Nov. 16 at Eastern Michigan. Kent State is traditionally known for its passing offense, but its pass defense is 11th in the 12-team MAC, having given up 3,106 yards in 11 games. |

11-26-22 | Old Dominion +15.5 v. South Alabama | Top | 20-27 | Win | 100 | 1 h 26 m | Show |
The Old Dominion Monarchs (3-8; 4-7 ATS; 2-5 conf.) extended their losing streak to five games last Saturday. Playing as 16-point road underdogs, the Monarchs suffered a 27-14 defeat at the Appalachian State Mountaineers. At least, they covered the spread for the first time since Week 7 and a surprising 49-21 victory at the Coastal Carolina Chanticleers. App State outgained Old Dominion 498-394 in total yards, and the Monarchs trailed 27-0 at the end of the third quarter, scoring a couple of consolation touchdowns late in the fourth. Sophomore QB Hayden Wolff completed 22 of his 37 passing attempts for 308 yards and two touchdowns, while sophomore wideout Javon Harvey had four receptions for 133 yards and a pair of scores. Let's take the Monarchs with the big number again. |

11-25-22 | Nebraska +11 v. Iowa | Top | 24-17 | Win | 100 | 5 h 21 m | Show |
Iowa can get Big Ten title shot by beating Nebraska After losing three consecutive conference games, Iowa stands one victory from the Big Ten championship game thanks to a four-game winning streak. Iowa, at one point, was 3-4 overall and 1-3 in conference play. Then came victories over Northwestern, Purdue, Wisconsin and Minnesota, pushing the Hawkeyes (7-4, 5-3 Big Ten) in position to play either Ohio State or Michigan in the Big Ten title game. A victory over Nebraska (3-8, 2-6) on Friday at Iowa City, Iowa, will make it happen. "Really happy for our guys," said Iowa coach Kirk Ferentz, who was embroiled in criticism after the early struggles this season. "Really happy locker room. That's November football, whatever it takes to get it done." Iowa has won seven straight games against Nebraska, which is likely playing its last game under interim head coach Mickey Joseph. The Cornhuskers lost five consecutive Big Ten games after starting 2-1, including a painful defeat last week. Nebraska was competitive in the 15-14 home loss to Wisconsin but fell short when the Badgers scored on a touchdown run with 35 seconds left. |

11-25-22 | Central Michigan v. Eastern Michigan UNDER 54.5 | Top | 19-38 | Loss | -110 | 1 h 23 m | Show |
This is Central Michigan’s bowl game. It was a wildly weird and disappointing season, but the team was on a nice roll of three wins in four games before the power outage 12-10 loss to Western Michigan with just 253 yards and no luck whatsoever. Eastern Michigan has gotten by week after week even after having a slew of problems with penalties, third down stops, and generating pressure in the backfield. It’s all about the ground game. Central Michigan is 4-0 when it gets past 160 rushing yards and 0-7 when it doesn’t. Eastern Michigan allowed more than 160 yards five times |

11-24-22 | Patriots v. Vikings OVER 42 | Top | 26-33 | Win | 100 | 10 h 44 m | Show |
Minnesota suffered its worst defeat since 2011 with a 40-3 loss to the Cowboys on Sunday. The Vikings have never won a playoff game in the same season that they lost a game by at least 35 points (six previous seasons).
