01-04-23 | Connecticut v. Providence +5 | Top | 61-73 | Win | 100 | 11 h 48 m | Show |
Two of the elite teams in the Big East Conference meet Wednesday when fourth-ranked UConn goes on the road to play Providence. The Friars (12-3, 4-0 Big East) opened Big East play with four consecutive wins for the first time in the program's history by prevailing 74-59 over DePaul on Sunday in Chicago. Providence and Xavier (12-3, 4-0) are tied for first place and are the only unbeaten teams in the conference. Providence sophomore Devin Carter, a transfer from South Carolina, tied his career high by scoring 22 points against the Blue Demons. He also had five steals and four blocked shots. The Friars received 18 points from Jared Bynum, and 12 points and eight rebounds from Bryce Hopkins. Hopkins owns team-best averages of 15.7 points and 9.5 rebounds per game. |

01-01-23 | Tulsa +8.5 v. SMU | Top | 67-92 | Loss | -110 | 10 h 50 m | Show |
Most will run away from Tulsa after failing to cover 9 straight games, but the number has risen to a level that I'm not willing to lay. The Mustangs aren't exactly cashing tickets consistently with a 5-8 ATS record. The road team in this series has covered 20 of their last 28 meetings. |
|||||||
12-31-22 | Loyola Marymount v. Pacific +4.5 | Top | 72-78 | Win | 100 | 6 h 21 m | Show |
Offensive production has been hard to come by for Loyola Marymount this season, as they are currently ranked 257th in college basketball at 69.3 points per game. A major reason for low-scoring totals is the fact that they have played at a below-average pace, and have struggled to knock down outside shots. As a team, the Lions’ 3-point shooting percentage sits at just 34.4%, placing them 218th in the NCAA. |
|||||||
12-31-22 | San Jose State v. Colorado State -8 | Top | 78-70 | Loss | -115 | 6 h 42 m | Show |
Four Rams players are averaging double-digit points on the year. Isaiah Stevens had made up for lost time after missing the early part of the season. He debuted on November 30th and in the seven games, he has played the senior guard has averaged 17.1 points on 50% shooting from the field. He has scored in double digits in all games played and has logged three games of 20 or more points. He also averages six assists and two rebounds per game. |
|||||||
12-31-22 | New Mexico v. Wyoming +3.5 | Top | 76-75 | Win | 100 | 6 h 34 m | Show |
Wyoming (5-8, 0-1) rallied from 18 points down at Fresno State on Wednesday before falling 58-53. The Cowboys held Fresno State to 1-of-23 shooting from the field in one stretch of the second half to rally back. "Hopefully, this is a game we can build off of by the way we played defensively in the second half," Wyoming coach Jeff Linder said. "You can't spot a team an 18-point lead. But that's when we had the sense of urgency to guard." Noah Reynolds gave the Cowboys their first lead of the second half, 51-49, on a layup with 3:11 left. He made another layup with 1:36 remaining that put Wyoming ahead, 53-51, but that ended the scoring for the Cowboys. Jemarl Baker hit a go-ahead 3-pointer off an offensive rebound with 1:01 left and the Bulldogs tacked on four free throws to cement the win. Reynolds leads the Cowboys with 14.8 points per game on 53.5 percent shooting from the field. |

12-30-22 | North Carolina -5.5 v. Pittsburgh | Top | 74-76 | Loss | -110 | 3 h 21 m | Show |
There have been signs that No. 25 North Carolina is getting into a groove, and now after a more than a week layoff, the Tar Heels have another chance to show their improvement. North Carolina will begin the sizable portion of its Atlantic Coast Conference schedule by visiting Pittsburgh on Friday afternoon. "I feel like we're in a great situation and our group is definitely battle-tested," Tar Heels guard Caleb Love said. "It's good for us when our back is against the wall and how we fight back. Anything thrown at us, we're going to overcome it." North Carolina (9-4, 1-1 ACC) has won four games in a row. Pittsburgh (9-4, 2-0) will be playing its ACC home opener. The Tar Heels have displayed a more intense nature in recent games. |
|||||||
12-29-22 | Colorado +2.5 v. Stanford | Top | 73-70 | Win | 100 | 13 h 22 m | Show |
Colorado and Stanford hope to display new-and-improved editions when they meet Thursday night in Palo Alto, Calif., in a renewal of the Pac-12 men's basketball schedule. Neither team recorded a win in conference play in two opportunities each earlier this month, with the Buffaloes (8-5, 0-2) falling at home to Arizona State and at Washington, while the Cardinal (5-7, 0-2) were beaten at home by UCLA and at Arizona State. Colorado has made the most of four home dates since its 73-63 loss at Washington on Dec. 4, beating Colorado State, North Alabama, Northern Colorado, and Southern Utah by a total of 71 points. The Buffaloes not only used the time away from Pac-12 play to improve emotionally but also physically, with forwards Luke O'Brien and Lawson Lovering now ready to return to action. |
|||||||
12-29-22 | Tulane +4.5 v. Cincinnati | Top | 77-88 | Loss | -110 | 12 h 36 m | Show |
Tulane will be counting on another strong performance from the team’s leading scorer Jaylen Forbes who is averaging 16.82 points per game for the Green Wave. Forbes is also important to the team’s ability to score on the perimeter. So far, he leads the team in 3-point shots made. Also key to the Green Wave’s offensive game plan is the play of Kevin Cross who has hit 51.3% of his field goal attempts on his way to averaging 14.18 points per game. On offense, Tulane comes into the game looking to control the pace of play, as they are just 392nd in possessions per game. Even with their preference to slow the game down, the Green Wave’s scoring at a rate similar to the NCAA average of 73.1 points per game. So far, 38.63% of their shots have come from beyond the arc, where they have connected at a rate of 36.4%. |
|||||||
12-29-22 | St. Thomas v. South Dakota +1.5 | Top | 84-92 | Win | 100 | 11 h 55 m | Show |
On offense, South Dakota comes into the game looking to control the pace of play, as they are just 503rd in possessions per game. Even with their preference to slow the game down, the Coyotes’ are scoring at a rate similar to the NCAA average at 75.1 points per game. So far, 33.22% of their shots have come from beyond the arc, where they have connected at a rate of 37.4%. |
|||||||
12-29-22 | Providence v. Butler -1.5 | Top | 72-52 | Loss | -110 | 10 h 47 m | Show |
It's likely going to take a lot more than a Christmas break to slow down Providence. The Friars have rattled off five straight wins and will find out if their momentum stuck around through the holiday hiatus when they travel to Indianapolis for a meeting with Butler on Thursday night. Providence (10-3, 2-0 Big East) made sure to keep itself off the naughty list, heading into Christmas on the heels of a thrilling 103-98 double-overtime victory against then-No. 24 Marquette on Dec. 20. Bryce Hopkins led the Friars with 29 points and 23 rebounds, both career highs. Devin Carter and Ed Croswell added 20 points apiece and Jared Bynum supplied 16 points and eight rebounds. Although the team will be back in action, classes still will be on hold for nearly three more weeks, meaning basketball becomes the sole focus -- something that the team is relishing. Despite all that, the number suggests a Bulldogs upset. |
|||||||
12-28-22 | Air Force v. San Diego State -16 | Top | 55-71 | Push | 0 | 13 h 58 m | Show |
The Falcons have covered seven straight games while the Aztecs are coming off a less-than-impressive performance against UCSD. The bookmakers are laying another trap, begging you to take the Falcons, we're not falling for that as the Aztecs crush Air Force to give us one last win on the night. |
|||||||
12-28-22 | Arkansas v. LSU +4.5 | Top | 57-60 | Win | 100 | 11 h 12 m | Show |
A pair of one-loss Southeastern Conference foes open the league season with a showdown on Wednesday night when No. 9 Arkansas battles LSU at Baton Rouge, La. The Razorbacks (11-1) have won seven straight games and are playing their first true road game of the season. LSU (11-1) owns a six-game winning streak and is 8-0 at home. Arkansas was predicted to bring a lofty record into SEC play after reaching the Elite Eight of the NCAA Tournament in each of the past two seasons. LSU's early season success wasn't a guarantee with former Murray State coach Matt McMahon taking over after the end of the controversial Will Wade tenure. But McMahon's rebuilding process received a boost when two of his key Murray State players elected to follow him -- big man KJ Williams and guard Justice Hill. |
|||||||
12-28-22 | Wolves +6.5 v. Pelicans | Top | 118-119 | Win | 100 | 10 h 48 m | Show |
The New Orleans Pelicans just played one of their better games of the season while short-handed. They expect to be stronger when they host the Minnesota Timberwolves on Wednesday night. On Monday night, the Pelicans defeated the visiting Indiana Pacers 113-93 despite the absence of their top two scorers: Zion Williamson (illness) and Brandon Ingram (toe). In addition, another starter, Herbert Jones Jr., was sidelined due to health and safety protocol. Two more key rotation players, Trey Murphy III and Dyson Daniels, also were out, both because of non-COVID illnesses. Williamson, who has missed the past three games, said after practice Tuesday that he would play against the Wolves, and coach Willie Green said Murphy and Daniels are probable. Ingram will miss the Wednesday contest, and Jones was listed as questionable. New Orleans gave at least 17 minutes to all nine players that were available Monday and all but one scored. |
|||||||
12-28-22 | Kentucky -3 v. Missouri | Top | 75-89 | Loss | -105 | 9 h 21 m | Show |
Kentucky coach John Calipari is bringing a lengthy to-do list as the No. 19 Wildcats begin Southeastern Conference play at Missouri on Wednesday night. The Wildcats (8-3) have lost to Michigan State, Gonzaga, and UCLA. They most recently defeated Florida A&M 88-68 last Wednesday, but they led by just seven points with 5:35 left and Calipari was vexed by his team's defense. "We've got work to do now. We do," Calipari said after the game. "We didn't defend today like we've been defending. It's crazy. I mean, the one thing that we could rely on is that we would really, really guard. Well, they beat us on the bounce, they beat us shooting threes, they beat us offensive rebounding." Now Kentucky must travel to Columbia, Mo., to face the tough Tigers (11-1, 0-0 SEC) as Missouri comes off a 93-71 neutral-court upset of then-No. 16 Illinois on Thursday. |
|||||||
12-27-22 | Lakers +3.5 v. Magic | Top | 129-110 | Win | 100 | 10 h 38 m | Show |
Two teams trending in opposite directions will meet when the Orlando Magic host the Los Angeles Lakers on Tuesday night. While Orlando has won eight of its last nine, Los Angeles has lost four in a row. The Lakers began a five-game trip with a 124-115 loss to the Dallas Mavericks on Sunday. After taking a nine-point lead into halftime, Los Angeles was outscored 51-21 during a disastrous third quarter. "We have to know that it's a 48-minute game; it's not a 24-minute game," Los Angeles coach Darvin Ham said. "We kind of took our foot off the pedal defensively. To give up a 51-point third quarter is just unacceptable. It's completely unacceptable. That's not who we are. That's not who we're going to be." Lakers star LeBron James scored 38 points in the loss. His seven-game streak of at least 30 points is the longest active streak in the league. Los Angeles is being forced to rely on James minus center Anthony Davis, who is out indefinitely with a stress injury in his right foot. The line is telling us that the Lakers are to break the Orlando cover streak here. |
|||||||
12-27-22 | Jacksonville v. Notre Dame -7.5 | Top | 43-59 | Win | 100 | 9 h 16 m | Show |
Notre Dame will look to snap a three-game losing streak on Tuesday night when it hosts Jacksonville in its final nonconference game of the season at South Bend, Ind. Notre Dame (7-5) won its lone previous matchup against Jacksonville (7-3) in 2018. The Fighting Irish, who have dropped four of their past five overall, including falling into an 0-2 hole to start Atlantic Coast Conference play, need a win before jumping back into conference action with a difficult test on Friday against No. 14 Miami, which currently sits atop the ACC. Notre Dame appeared ready to correct its course last week before blowing an 11-point lead and losing 73-72 to Florida State on Wednesday. One of the Fighting Irish's strengths this season has been their 3-point shooting, averaging 8.9 made triples per game thanks in large part to Dane Goodwin (46.2 percent from deep), Cormac Ryan (45.6 percent) and Nate Laszewski (42.9 percent). |
|||||||
12-26-22 | Hornets v. Blazers -6 | Top | 113-124 | Win | 100 | 25 h 23 m | Show |
The Charlotte Hornets experience nothing but trouble in Portland and they aim to end a 14-game skid in the Rose City when they visit the Trail Blazers on Monday night. Charlotte last won in Portland on March 29, 2008 when the team was known as the Bobcats and Emeka Okafor was the squad's high scorer with 21 points. Trail Blazers icon Damian Lillard was a high school senior. The Hornets will take another shot at ending the skid during the fifth contest of a six-game road trip that ends Tuesday against the Golden State Warriors. Charlotte is 2-2 on the excursion after outlasting Los Angeles Lakers 134-130 on Friday. The Hornets have won two of their last three games after losing their previous eight contests. Gordon Hayward scored the tiebreaking points with 6.3 seconds left and P.J. Washington added two free throws to seal it. |
|||||||
12-23-22 | George Washington +3.5 v. Pepperdine | Top | 70-81 | Loss | -115 | 11 h 19 m | Show |
The George Washington Colonials were just three seconds away from an opening-round upset win over the Washington State Cougars on Thursday night. Unfortunately, a three-point field goal from the Cougars turned a 64-63 lead into a 66-64 loss. The game was back and forth throughout with Washington State holding a two-point lead at halftime before the two teams battled back and forth in the second half. George Washington had five players in double figures for the game, led by Brendan Adams 17 points. The Colonials shot 49% from the field |

12-21-22 | Michigan +5.5 v. North Carolina | Top | 76-80 | Win | 100 | 8 h 33 m | Show |
Michigan and North Carolina are experienced enough to understand winter missteps are easier to forget with a little success in March. While neither college basketball powerhouse is ready to shed serious aspirations of playing into April 2023, this season is not going according to plan for either program just yet. But expectations could come into focus Wednesday night when the Wolverines and Tar Heels meet at Charlotte, N.C. The neutral-site game comes in the inaugural Jumpman Invitational. The winner of the game takes home a boost in the way of a non-conference victory. "When we get it clicking, just like last year, it's going to be scary," North Carolina guard Leaky Black. "When the games really matter, we'll show up." North Carolina (8-4) has won three in a row since a four-game losing streak knocked it out of the national rankings. |
|||||||
12-19-22 | Manhattan +4.5 v. Marist | Top | 80-69 | Win | 100 | 3 h 18 m | Show |
Offensive production has been hard to come by for Marist this season, as they are currently ranked 277th in college basketball at 68.8 points per game. A major reason for low-scoring totals is the fact that they have played at a below-average pace, and have struggled to knock down outside shots. As a team, the Red Foxes’ 3-point shooting percentage sits at just 34.4%, placing them 219th in the NCAA. |

12-18-22 | Buffalo v. West Virginia -18.5 | Top | 78-96 | Loss | -110 | 7 h 32 m | Show |
West Virginia will look to extend its winning streak to three games when it plays host to Buffalo on Sunday at Morgantown, W.Va. Neither team has played since Dec. 10. The Mountaineers (8-2) last earned an 81-70 win over visiting UAB, while the Bulls (5-5) saw a four-game winning streak end with an 88-63 loss to Tulane in the Holiday Hoopsgiving event at Atlanta. The Mountaineers led the Blazers 40-31 at halftime, but the game was tied at 47-all with 13:50 remaining. West Virginia responded by going on a 6-2 run to take a 55-49 lead it wouldn't relinquish following Erik Stevenson's layup with 11:24 left. The Mountaineers forced 19 turnovers. |
|||||||
12-12-22 | Sacred Heart -1.5 v. Stony Brook | Top | 64-71 | Loss | -110 | 7 h 37 m | Show |
Pioneers are 5-2 ATS in their last 7 games vs. a team with a losing straight-up record, while the Seawolves have failed to cover four straight games after a SU loss. |
|||||||
12-08-22 | Colorado State v. Colorado -4 | Top | 65-93 | Win | 100 | 2 h 1 m | Show |
Colorado will be counting on another strong performance from the team’s leading scorer KJ Simpson who is averaging 16.22 points per game for the Buffaloes. Simpson is also important to the team’s ability to score on the perimeter. So far, he leads the team in 3-point shots made. Also key to the Buffaloes’ offensive game plan is the play of Tristan Da Silva who has hit 48.3% of his field goal attempts on his way to averaging 12.0 points per game. Coming into today’s game, Colorado will be looking for some improved play from their offense. Currently, the Buffaloes are ranked 193rd at 71.2 points per game. A major reason for their low-scoring numbers is the fact that they tend to work the clock on offense. |
|||||||
12-05-22 | North Dakota State +15.5 v. Portland | Top | 67-62 | Win | 100 | 10 h 21 m | Show |
The North Dakota State Bison have been struggling and lost on the road 78-70 against the Eastern Washington Eagles. They did well as they scored 35 points in both halves of the game. They shot the ball well as they were 27-of-59 (45.8 percent) overall, 12-of-30 (40 percent) from the three, and just seven free-throw attempts. |
|||||||
12-02-22 | Texas-Arlington +19 v. LSU | Top | 59-63 | Win | 100 | 10 h 27 m | Show |
LSU hasn't really played anyone tough this year, but they are 6-1 on the season, so they are winning games they should be winning, for the most part. They somehow are ranked No. 54 by KenPom, which I think is way inflated, considering they have played the 328th easiest non-conference schedule in the country. There are only 360 D1 schools. so LSU has played a really easy schedule. Their one loss was a 61-59 loss at Kansas State as a 2.5-point underdog. |
|||||||
12-02-22 | Kennesaw State +4.5 v. Mercer | Top | 66-63 | Win | 100 | 9 h 19 m | Show |
The Owls are led by fourth-year head coach Amir Abdur-Rahim. KSU was picked to finish eighth in the ASUN Conference coaches poll and sixth in the media poll. Kennesaw State is currently 4-3 with wins over LaGrange, Brewton-Parker, Southeastern Louisiana, and Appalachian State. The losses came against Florida, Campbell, and VCU. In the most recent game against VCU, the Owls led for 38 minutes before being outscored by the Rams 14-4 in the final five minutes.KSU returned all five of last year's starters, including Chris Youngblood who was named to the 2022-23 Preseason ASUN All-Conference Team. The Owls also brought in transfer guard Quincy Ademokoya from Temple who has been appearing off the bench so far this season. |

11-29-22 | Clippers +4 v. Blazers | Top | 118-112 | Win | 100 | 7 h 58 m | Show |
With Kawhi Leonard and Paul George both ailing, Ivica Zubac took a whirl at being a star attraction and it was one for the memory books. The 25-year-old Zubac will try to follow up the best performance of his career when the Los Angeles Clippers visit the Portland Trail Blazers on Tuesday night. Zubac played like a man possessed Sunday during a 114-100 home victory over the Indiana Pacers as he scored 31 points and collected a career-best 29 rebounds. The 7-foot Zubac was one board short of having the third 30-point, 30-rebound outing in the NBA in 40 years. Michael Cage was the last Clippers player to grab 30 rebounds in a game, doing so on April 24, 1988, against the Seattle SuperSonics. The only downer for Zubac was fouling out with 3:40 remaining. "I was mad at myself because I wanted to get that 30 and 30 so bad. It hurts," Zubac said afterward. "It's definitely not as happy as I should be. "I was just mad at myself for going for (the blocked shot), but I just can't help myself. Every time I see someone trying to get away, I try to block it." While legendary Wilt Chamberlain used to routinely post 30-30 games during his career, Zubac fell just short of joining Dwight Howard (2018) and Kevin Love (2010) as the only players to do it since Moses Malone in 1982. |
|||||||
11-29-22 | Knicks v. Pistons +5 | Top | 140-110 | Loss | -110 | 4 h 1 m | Show |
The New York Knicks have reached the 20-game mark and they're not close to living up to their expectations. New York has wallowed in mediocrity, unable to put together a solid stretch of performances. The Knicks have lost four of their last five, dropping to 9-11 as they make a quick visit to Detroit to face the Pistons on Tuesday. "Lot of work to do," Knicks coach Tom Thibodeau said. "Just keep concentrating on getting better, improving, and get ready for the next one. Don't look backward, don't look ahead, just look at exactly what's in front of us. That's where I want us to be." The last two losses, both at home, have been particularly excruciating. They lost to Portland 132-129 in overtime, then fell to Memphis 127-123. Jalen Brunson, the pricey free agent signed to get New York back into the postseason, missed two shots in the lane during the closing seconds against Memphis. Those misses came after Grizzlies star guard Ja Morant gave his team the lead with a putback. |
|||||||
11-29-22 | Charlotte +4.5 v. Davidson | Top | 68-66 | Win | 100 | 4 h 17 m | Show |
The Charlotte 49ers live and die on the defensive end of the court as Charlotte is allowing an average of only 55.0 points per game which is the 11th best in the nation. Charlotte is allowing a field goal shooting percentage of 39.5% and a three-point shooting percentage of 35.6%. The 49ers are averaging 32.1 rebounds per game led by Aly Khalifa with an average of 7.0 boards per contest. Charlotte's defense averages 7.6 steals and 2.9 blocked shots per contest. |
|||||||
11-29-22 | Jackson State +5 v. Miami-OH | Top | 78-95 | Loss | -110 | 4 h 9 m | Show |
Tigers are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games following a straight-up loss of more than 20 points, while the RedHawks are 4-11 ATS in their last 15 home games |
|||||||
11-27-22 | Mavs +6.5 v. Bucks | Top | 115-124 | Loss | -105 | 9 h 17 m | Show |
Two of the NBA's top MVP candidates will meet when the Dallas Mavericks conclude their three-game trip on Sunday night against the Milwaukee Bucks. Dallas has lost three straight despite the play of star Luka Doncic, who leads the league in scoring at 33.4 points per game while averaging 8.9 rebounds and 8.2 assists. Milwaukee, again, is led by Giannis Antetokounmpo, who is averaging 31 points, 11.4 rebounds, and 5.5 assists. Antetokounmpo scored 38 points in the Bucks' 117-102 win over the Cleveland Cavaliers on Friday. Milwaukee trailed by as many as 16 points in the first half before going on a 23-2 run to begin the third quarter. "They turned it up to a level that we haven't seen, that we haven't experienced," said Cleveland star Donovan Mitchell. Jevon Carter scored 18 points and Bobby Portis Jr. had 14 for Milwaukee, which improved to 10-2 at home with the victory. The Bucks offered a reminder of their defensive potential in the dominant third quarter when they outscored the overwhelmed Cavaliers 35-10. |
|||||||
11-27-22 | Grizzlies v. Knicks +2.5 | Top | 127-123 | Loss | -110 | 7 h 23 m | Show |
For the New York Knicks, home is not where their defense is. But Madison Square Garden is where the high-powered Memphis Grizzlies will be Sunday night when the Knicks are slated to close out a two-game homestand by hosting the Grizzlies. Both teams were off Saturday after playing at home Friday. The Knicks squandered a 14-point first-half lead and fell to the Portland Trail Blazers, 132-129, in overtime. The Grizzlies never trailed in a 132-111 victory over the New Orleans Pelicans. The Knicks opened their home schedule with a pair of strong defensive efforts in a 130-106 win over the Detroit Pistons and a 115-102 victory over the Orlando Magic. But New York has given up at least 130 points in four of its last six home games after surrendering at least 130 points just three times -- anywhere -- in the first two seasons under defensive-minded head coach Tom Thibodeau. The loss Friday was particularly discouraging for the Knicks, who didn't have to face Trail Blazers superstar guard Damian Lillard (right calf strain) but were victimized instead by the trio of Jerami Grant, Anfernee Simons and Josh Hart. |

11-26-22 | Jazz +7.5 v. Suns | Top | 112-113 | Win | 100 | 10 h 9 m | Show |
The Utah Jazz snapped a three-game losing streak eight days ago when they edged the Suns in Salt Lake City. The Jazz, losers of six of their past eight games, will hope for the same positive result Saturday night in Phoenix as they find themselves in the midst of another three-game streak. This much is true: Utah will need to shoot a lot better to beat the Suns than it did while losing at Golden State 129-118 on Friday night, following losses to Detroit and the Los Angeles Clippers. Against the Warriors, the Jazz only made 11 of 45 3-pointers. "For the most part, I felt we played the way we wanted to play," Jazz coach Will Hardy said. "When you shoot 25 percent from 3, it puts a lot of pressure on you." Golden State jumped to a 37-23 lead in the first quarter, but the Jazz overcame the early deficit. Sustaining that momentum proved too difficult, however. Utah briefly took a one-point lead in the third quarter, but Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson and company made the visitors pay for their off-night from 3-point range. |

11-26-22 | Lakers v. Spurs +3 | Top | 143-138 | Loss | -108 | 9 h 15 m | Show |
The Los Angeles Lakers will look to sweep a two-games-in-two-night series against the reeling San Antonio Spurs when the teams square off Saturday night in the Alamo City. It will be the third game between the teams over a seven-day stretch, with Los Angeles capturing the first two. The Lakers, buoyed by the continued dominating play of Anthony Davis and the return of LeBron James, did enough to beat San Antonio 105-94 on Friday in the first game of the two-game set. It was the Lakers' first road win of the year after six losses. Davis had 25 points and 15 rebounds in Friday's win, scoring 11 points in the fourth quarter after the Spurs clawed their way back into the game with a rousing third period. James was a force after being out with an adductor strain since Nov. 9, scoring 21 points. He also had nine of the Lakers' 21 turnovers. |

11-24-22 | Manhattan +4.5 v. Northeastern | Top | 67-69 | Win | 100 | 1 h 50 m | Show |
The Huskies are now 0-4 while the Jaspers sit at 1-2. A pair of stats to keep in the back of your head while watching: Northeastern is the 21st worst in college basketball in takeaways, with only 10.8 on average. Manhattan has experienced some struggles of its own as they are stumbling into the matchup with the 358th most turnovers per game in college basketball, having accrued 19 on average. |

11-23-22 | Clippers +9 v. Warriors | Top | 107-124 | Loss | -110 | 15 h 40 m | Show |
Golden State Warriors fans hope to see the Klay Thompson they witnessed on television last week when the defending champions open a three-day, two-game homestand with their first matchup of the season against the Los Angeles Clippers on Wednesday night. The Pacific Division rivals both were missing key players in their last outing and came away with different results. The Clippers were without Paul George (strained right hamstring) and Luke Kennard (strained right calf) when they completed a 3-0 homestand with a 121-114 victory over the Utah Jazz on Monday night. Norman Powell and Reggie Jackson led the way with 30 and 27 points, respectively. The Clippers also got eight points and five assists from Kawhi Leonard in just his third game since returning from nearly a month-long absence due to soreness in his surgically repaired right knee. The five-time All-Star has played no more than 25 minutes in any game during his comeback and has averaged just 8.3 points and 4.3 assists in the last three games. Despite regular lineup shuffling, the Clippers have counted upon depth to get the season off to a winning start. |

11-23-22 | Pelicans v. Spurs +7.5 | Top | 129-110 | Loss | -105 | 13 h 43 m | Show |
The Spurs will head home after a disastrous five-game trip in which they lost in San Francisco, Portland, Sacramento and in Los Angeles twice, with the average margin of defeat 23 points per game. The closest game on the trip was a 117-110 loss to the Trail Blazers. That was the only game of the five that San Antonio had all of its regular starters available. The Spurs' most recent setback was a 123-92 loss Sunday to the Lakers, who won easily despite playing without injured LeBron James. San Antonio was down by 18 at the half and then missed its first 11 shots of the third quarter to put to rest any notion of getting back in the game. Devin Vassell led San Antonio with 17 points, with Keldon Johnson and Jeremy Sochan scoring 12 each, and Tre Jones and Josh Richardson adding 10 apiece. San Antonio, which has dropped 10 of their past 11 contests, played without Jakob Poeltl, who had been its leading scorer in two of its past three games. "We have a young team. Winning is hard in the NBA," said Gorgui Dieng, who started in Poeltl's spot. "They're learning. Whether you win or lose, just make sure you have the right habits. Tonight was a very bad game for us." Spurs coach Gregg Popovich also missed the game after falling ill beforehand. Assistant coach Brett Brown ran the team in his absence. "The end of a long road trip, five games in seven nights, is always going to be difficult," Brown said after Sunday's loss. "We're better than we played (Sunday). They have competed at a far greater level than they did tonight. We will respond. They're a prideful group." Wednesday's game will mark the first contest in a three-game homestand for San Antonio. Nine of the Spurs' next 11 contests will be at home. |

11-23-22 | Wizards +1.5 v. Heat | Top | 105-113 | Loss | -110 | 12 h 22 m | Show |
The Washington Wizards have enjoyed a reversal of fortune by walking away with six wins in their last seven games, but seeing their star limp off the court is cause for concern. The Wizards begin a back-to-back series of games at the Miami Heat on Wednesday with Bradley Beal's availability in limbo due to a right quadriceps injury. "He'll be evaluated and then we will make a determination," Washington coach Wes Unseld Jr. said. Beal sustained the injury during the final minute of the Wizards' 106-102 victory over the Charlotte Hornets on Sunday. He finished the game with 26 points, one shy of his total in Washington's 107-106 overtime win over an undermanned Miami squad on Friday. Beal has missed five of his team's 17 games this season due to a stint in health and safety protocol following a positive test for COVID-19. He boasts team-leading averages in points (22.7) and assists (5.8) points while shooting a robust 51.2 percent from the floor. Kyle Kuzma recorded his fifth double-double of the season after collecting 28 points and 10 rebounds against the Hornets. He had 21 points, eight rebounds and five assists in the previous encounter versus the Heat. |

11-23-22 | Wolves v. Pacers | Top | 115-101 | Win | 100 | 12 h 45 m | Show |
Minnesota brings a four-game winning streak into Indiana. The Timberwolves' run has combined improved offensive efficiency, with Minnesota producing two of its four highest-scoring games of the season in the streak's first two outings, and tough defense. The Timberwolves have held each of their past three opponents to less than 110 points, including limiting Miami to 101 in a four-point Minnesota win on Monday. The Heat's 101 points were the fewest the Timberwolves have surrendered in a game this season. Anthony Edwards told the Minneapolis Star-Tribune that Monday was a "tough game, ugly game," but added, "It was a great win and a great team win." Monday was the lone home-game interlude for Minnesota in a stretch playing six of seven games on the road. Wednesday's visit to Indiana marks the penultimate road contest in this span, with a Friday trip to Charlotte as the last game before the Timberwolves play four of five at home. |

11-22-22 | Lakers +10.5 v. Suns | Top | 105-115 | Win | 100 | 9 h 22 m | Show |
Anthony Davis is enjoying his best stretch of the season and the Los Angeles Lakers aim to extend their season-long winning streak to four games Tuesday night when they visit the Phoenix Suns. Davis hadn't reached the 30-point mark prior to the current run but he is averaging 35 points a game during the span after outings of 37, 38 and 30 points. Davis also is averaging 17.3 rebounds during a stretch in which the Lakers are playing without LeBron James (adductor), who is listed as questionable for Tuesday and could miss his fifth consecutive game. Los Angeles coach Darvin Ham said the club will continue to be cautious with James. He sees no reason to rush things with the season not even 20 percent over. |

11-22-22 | Pistons v. Nuggets -5.5 | Top | 110-108 | Loss | -110 | 9 h 38 m | Show |
The Grizzlies have lost their way defensively. After holding Charlotte and Washington to 99 and 97 points in the final two outings of a three-game winning streak at the beginning of the month, Memphis has watched each of its past seven opponents go for 102 or more. Two of those foes topped 120, including the Brooklyn Nets in a 127-115 home win over Memphis on Sunday. Dillon Brooks paced the short-handed Grizzlies with 31 points. Jaren Jackson Jr. joined Bane and Morant on the sidelines Sunday because he's being brought along slowly following off-season surgery on his right foot. He's expected back to face the Kings. "You take it in stride," Grizzlies coach Taylor Jenkins said of the inconsistent lineups. "You control what you can control. We just got to rely on our depth." Memphis is 0-2 this season in games in which neither Bane nor Morant has played. Tyus Jones has started both of those games and has averaged 15 points and 5.5 assists. They will either play well defensively or get run out of the building. |

11-22-22 | Kings +1.5 v. Grizzlies | Top | 113-109 | Win | 100 | 8 h 35 m | Show |
The last team to see the "old" Sacramento Kings will become the 12th to experience the new-and-improved edition when the Western Conference's hottest team visits the Memphis Grizzlies on Tuesday night. The last time the clubs met, the Grizzlies handed the Kings their fourth consecutive loss to open the season as the Grizzlies got 31 points from Desmond Bane in a 125-110 victory in Sacramento. Much has changed in the nearly four weeks since. While the Kings have won nine of 11, including six in a row, the Grizzlies are just 6-6 while losing Bane to a sprained right big toe and Ja Morant to a sprained left ankle. Sacramento's winning ways figure to get tested on a four-day trip to Memphis, Atlanta and Boston that will sandwich Thanksgiving. The winning streak has featured double-figures scoring from seven different players, including De'Aaron Fox, who has used 57.7 percent shooting to fashion a 24-point scoring average during the run. |

11-22-22 | Nets v. 76ers +8 | Top | 106-115 | Win | 100 | 7 h 0 m | Show |
Coming off his best showing for the Brooklyn Nets since being traded from the 76ers, Ben Simmons heads into Tuesday's return to Philadelphia feeling good even while anticipating the reaction from 76ers' fans. "In Philly? Come on now, I know what's coming," Simmons said. "That's part of the game. Philly fans, one thing about Philly fans is they are incredible. They are diehard Philly and they are everything Philly, whatever it is. I respect that about the city. It's a sports town." Given their injury woes, Philadelphia will not be necessarily focused on the return of Simmons, who averaged 15.9 points in 275 regular-season games for them before making his last appearance with the team in Game 7 of the 2021 Eastern Conference semifinals. The 76ers will be without star Joel Embiid with a left mid-foot sprain Saturday night and will miss at least two games. Already without James Harden for another two weeks because of a strained right foot, the Sixers lost Tyrese Maxey to a broken left foot Friday, and then Embiid injured his foot Saturday after colliding with teammate Georges Niang in the second half of a 112-109 loss to the visiting Minnesota Timberwolves. Tobias Harris (sore left hip), Furkan Korkmaz (knee) missed Saturday's game, and defensive specialist P.J. Tucker -- who often guards Brooklyn star Kevin Durant -- left that game due to an unspecified injury. However, it's the game after injuries where I like to grab points because replacements will be highly motivated to show what they can do. |

11-21-22 | Heat v. Wolves -8.5 | Top | 101-105 | Loss | -110 | 8 h 52 m | Show |
The Minnesota Timberwolves will aim to stretch their season-best winning streak to four games when they host the injury-ravaged Miami Heat on Monday night. The Timberwolves will attempt to move above .500 for the first time since Oct. 30 against a Heat squad that will be without star Jimmy Butler for the third straight game. Minnesota averaged 122.3 points while winning the final three contests of a four-game trip. The Timberwolves defeated the Philadelphia 76ers 112-109 in Saturday's excursion-ending game. The fourth quarter was shaky as Minnesota saw a 15-point lead with under nine minutes to play trimmed to one with 29.1 seconds left before holding on. "There are positives and negatives," Timberwolves center Rudy Gobert said afterward. "I'm glad that we won. I really want to say that. But obviously, it's a little sour when you close the game like this." Minnesota coach Chris Finch was pleased with the escape but not with the late-game play. |

11-19-22 | Jazz v. Blazers -3.5 | Top | 118-113 | Loss | -110 | 11 h 47 m | Show |
The Blazers have their own All-Star who can light up the scoreboard on any night. Damian Lillard had 25 points and 11 assists in Portland's most recent outing, a tough 109-107 loss to the visiting Brooklyn Nets on Thursday. It was Lillard's third double-double in a row. "I thought tonight we just didn't do enough," Lillard said after the Blazers lost to the Nets on a last-second tip-in by Royce O'Neale. "They played harder than us in situations and they made the plays that we didn't. Portland turns it around tonight |

11-19-22 | Raptors v. Hawks -5 | Top | 122-124 | Loss | -110 | 7 h 49 m | Show |
The Toronto Raptors hope to get an encore performance from O.G. Anunoby when they travel to play the Atlanta Hawks on Saturday. The Raptors have dominated the series over the last two seasons. Toronto won three of the four meetings a year ago and scored a 139-109 win over Atlanta on Oct. 31 in their first encounter of the season when the Hawks committed a season-worst 18 turnovers. Anunoby scored a career-high 32 points and matched his season high with 10 rebounds in Toronto's 112-104 win over the Miami Heat on Wednesday. The Raptors have won two straight. Atlanta followed its emotional win over Milwaukee with a poor performance in a 126-101 loss to the Boston Celtics on Wednesday. Atlanta has won five of its last eight, the losses coming against Philadelphia, Utah and Boston. Anunoby was 13 for 18 from the field against Miami and is averaging 18.3 points and 6.4 rebounds. "He wanted the ball, he controlled it, he made moves, he made pass-outs, all the stuff you have to do when you're the go-to-guy," Toronto coach Nick Nurse said. The Raptors should also have a healthy Fred VanVleet on Saturday. He returned on Wednesday after missing two games with the flu and scored 23, even though he wasn't at full strength. |

11-17-22 | Bryant v. Florida Atlantic -7 | Top | 74-85 | Win | 100 | 7 h 50 m | Show |
The Florida Atlantic Owls will be returning home after a two-game road trip. They will take on the Bryant Bulldogs at 7 p.m. ET on Thursday at FAU Arena. On Monday, Florida Atlantic narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Florida Gators 76-74. The Owls' guard Johnell Davis filled up the stat sheet, dropping a double-double on 18 points and ten rebounds. Meanwhile, Bryant didn't have too much trouble with the Dartmouth Big Green on the road this past Friday as they won 89-70. |

11-16-22 | VCU v. Arizona State +5 | Top | 59-63 | Win | 100 | 6 h 49 m | Show |
ASU head coach Bobby Hurley enters his eighth season as coach of the Sun Devils with a 118-100 record thus far. Last season, ASU finished 14-17 overall and 10-10 in a very tough Pac-12 conference. This season, Hurley returns two starters from that team with the most important being oft-injured big man Marcus Bagley. After arriving at ASU as a five-star recruit, Bagley played hurt all of that first season and turned down an opportunity to enter the NBA Draft. He returned last year and played only three games due to a knee injury. He now returns, with optimism running high that he looks better than ever. If Bagley is right, he could bring ASU to the NCAA Tournament. |

11-16-22 | Pacers v. Hornets -2.5 | Top | 125-113 | Loss | -110 | 4 h 33 m | Show |
Finally emerging from a long losing streak, the Charlotte Hornets will host the Indiana Pacers on Wednesday night hoping to get rolling in the right direction. "We've easily had stretches where we've had very good, sometimes exceptional play, and then we have times (when) we don't execute," Charlotte coach Steve Clifford said. "We're not that kind of team. We can be very good, but we can't give possessions away. We don't have that much room for error." The Hornets returned from three games in Florida with their first victory in November to snap an eight-game losing streak, their longest skid since 2019 and one shy of a wrong-way stretch of November 2014. That's among the positive aspects they'll take into the game with Indiana. It will be the home debut for point guard LaMelo Ball, something that's bound to bring a buzz to the arena. |
|||||||
11-16-22 | Delaware State v. Columbia -8 | Top | 65-70 | Loss | -110 | 4 h 26 m | Show |
The Hornets came up short against the Villanova Wildcats on Monday, falling 60-50. Meanwhile, it was close but no cigar for Columbia as they fell 88-85 to the Sacred Heart Pioneers on Sunday. The losses put Delaware State at 1-2 and Columbia at 0-3. A couple of stats to keep an eye on: Delaware State has allowed their opponents to shoot 47.70% from the floor on average, which is the 31st-highest shooting percentage allowed in college basketball. The Lions have experienced some struggles of their own as they have only been able to knock down 36% percent of their shots, which is the 352nd lowest field goal percentage in college basketball. It's possible one of these Achilles' heels will wind up tripping the losing team up. |

11-15-22 | Montana State +11.5 v. Oregon | Top | 51-81 | Loss | -110 | 11 h 7 m | Show |
The Bobcats have covered 5 of their last 6 games dating back to last season, while Oregon has failed to cover 11 of their last 16 games. Double digits are too much here. |

11-15-22 | Eastern Michigan +6.5 v. Bradley | Top | 61-89 | Loss | -105 | 10 h 9 m | Show |
Here comes Emoni Bates. Before the Eastern Michigan basketball star walks across the stage at the NBA Draft next summer, he will hold center stage at Carver Arena on Monday night. And the Bradley Braves will have to steal the spotlight. Both Bates and the Braves are in recovery mode, Bradley trying to bounce back from a 22-point loss at Utah State on Saturday, Bates from a roller-coaster path he's been on since age 15 as perhaps the top prospect in the nation. I think the number is too high, but Bates will be fun to watch this season. |

11-15-22 | Utah Valley v. Wake Forest -11.5 | Top | 65-68 | Loss | -110 | 7 h 54 m | Show |
This past Saturday, the Wolverines narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Northern Arizona Lumberjacks 73-69. The overall outcome was to be expected, but Northern Arizona made it more of a matchup than the oddsmakers had predicted. Meanwhile, Wake Forest bagged an 81-71 victory over the Georgia Bulldogs this past Friday. The Demon Deacons' success was spearheaded by the efforts of guard Tyree Appleby, who had 22 points and six assists along with six rebounds, and guard Daivien Williamson, who had 24 points. |

11-14-22 | Louisiana Tech v. Texas Tech -12.5 | Top | 55-64 | Loss | -110 | 9 h 8 m | Show |
No. 25 Texas Tech will look to continue its impressive home winning streak on Monday when Louisiana Tech comes to Lubbock, Texas. The Red Raiders (2-0) have won 23 consecutive games at home, most recently a 78-54 victory over Texas Southern on Thursday. Kevin Obanor, Texas Tech's lone returning starter and one of three players back from last year's Sweet 16 team, led the Red Raiders with 13 points and seven rebounds. Obanor now has 90 career games in double-figure scoring and hit 900 career rebounds in Thursday's win. Jaylon Tyson added a career-high 13 points in the victory while De'Vion Harmon had 12 points in a contest the Red Raiders trailed for only 42 seconds |
|||||||
11-12-22 | Presbyterian v. East Carolina -6.5 | Top | 57-77 | Win | 100 | 6 h 35 m | Show |
The Blue Hose will be seeking to avenge the 76-56 loss they suffered the last time these two teams played on Dec. 22 of 2016. Presbyterian received a tough blow on Thursday as they fell 70-58 to The Citadel Bulldogs. Meanwhile, things were close when East Carolina and the Mercer Bears clashed on Tuesday, but the Pirates ultimately edged out the opposition 77-75. Brandon Johnson and Javon Small were among the main playmakers for East Carolina as the former had 24 points in addition to seven rebounds and the latter had 23 points and five assists. |
|||||||
11-11-22 | Mississippi State v. Akron +6.5 | Top | 73-54 | Loss | -115 | 11 h 21 m | Show |
Akron (1-0) carries plenty of momentum into Friday's dustup as well after an 81-80 overtime win at home over South Dakota State in its season opener. Greg Tribble canned the game-winning free throw with 2.4 seconds left in the extra period to lift the Zips to the victory on Monday. Â Â Xavier Castaneda led Akron with a career-high 31 points that included an 8-of-12 showing from 3-point range. Enrique Freeman added 23 points and 14 rebounds and Trendon Hankerson scored 11 points in the win. |
|||||||
11-11-22 | Duquesne v. Kentucky -17.5 | Top | 52-77 | Win | 100 | 10 h 28 m | Show |
No. 4 Kentucky likely will be without All-American Oscar Tshiebwe again when they host Duquesne on Friday in Lexington, Ky. Tshiebwe, the reigning Naismith Award and Associated Press Player of the Year, sat out Monday's season-opening, 95-63 win over visiting Howard to continue his recovery from minor knee surgery on Oct. 13. "If he wants to play Friday, I'm going to have to work him out myself and see," Kentucky coach John Calipari said. "If I did play him, he would probably play 10 or 15 minutes, just to get his legs under him." |

11-11-22 | Belmont +9.5 v. Furman | Top | 74-89 | Loss | -115 | 10 h 14 m | Show |
Let's see if the Bruins are better than last season when facing teams above .500 ATS, after dropping five of their last six last season. |

11-10-22 | North Dakota v. Creighton -26.5 | Top | 61-96 | Win | 100 | 16 h 23 m | Show |
North Dakota won its opening game of the regular season by 8 points over Incarnate Word but the Fighting Hawks struggled shooting the ball, hitting only 42.0% of their overall field goals and 25.0% from behind the three-point line. North Dakota was also careless with the ball as the Fighting Hawks committed 13 turnovers. |
|||||||
11-10-22 | Blazers v. Pelicans -6.5 | Top | 106-95 | Loss | -110 | 15 h 24 m | Show |
The Portland Trail Blazers are in the midst of a very successful road trip, while the New Orleans Pelicans are just glad to be back home for the first time six days. The Blazers are off to a 3-1 start on their six-game trip and will look to improve upon that mark when they visit the Pelicans on Thursday night. Damian Lillard overcame a sluggish start to score 26 points, making six 3-pointers, in a 105-95 victory at Charlotte on Wednesday night. Portland played without 7-foot center Jusuf Nurkic (adductor) and 6-foot-8 forward Jerami Grant (ankle). "Not having them out there makes us pretty small," Lillard said. "That puts us in a position where we might be vulnerable against a team that is always crashing the boards. So they hurt us with that. But we never stopped competing." |

11-10-22 | Illinois State -9.5 v. Eastern Illinois | Top | 54-49 | Loss | -105 | 16 h 30 m | Show |
Eastern Illinois has been one of the worst cover teams in all of College Basketball (17-37). They've also failed to cover 21 of their last 28 games against teams playing under .400 ball. |

11-10-22 | Western Carolina +21.5 v. Maryland | Top | 51-71 | Win | 100 | 15 h 33 m | Show |
Maryland men’s basketball is off to a good start, pulling away from Niagara, 71-49, in its first win of the season, and Kevin Willard’s first win as head coach. Par for the course in game one of a new era, it wasn't always pretty as Willard tinkered with lineups and offensive and defensive schemes. But, Maryland’s starters looked comfortable playing together and dominated when they were on the floor. The Terps now turn their attention to Western Carolina, which they tip off against Thursday at 7 p.m. at the XFINITY Center. Western Carolina lost its opener to Georgia and is by no means a difficult matchup for Maryland, but the Terps will still have to take care of business in their nonconference games against inferior opponents. |

11-09-22 | IUPU-Indianapolis v. Drake -28 | Top | 48-80 | Win | 100 | 12 h 27 m | Show |
Iowa State handled the Jaguars with ease in their season opener, as IUPUI shot just 33.3 percent from the floor and 15.4 percent from behind the arc. Sophomore guard Jlynn Counter led the Jags with 16 points on 45.5 percent shooting, as he was the only IUPUI player to score more than six points. The starting five consisted of three freshmen and two other newcomers, as 12 players made their team debuts for the Jaguars. IUPUI turned the ball over 29 times, resulting in 31 Iowa State points. |

11-07-22 | Cavs v. Clippers +4 | Top | 117-119 | Win | 100 | 13 h 38 m | Show |
On an eight-game winning streak with consecutive victories on their current road swing, the Cleveland Cavaliers will return to the same building Monday when they pay a visit to the Los Angeles Clippers. The Cavs pulled off an impressive 114-100 victory over the Los Angeles Lakers on Sunday afternoon when Donovan Mitchell scored 33 points and put a charge in Cleveland's dominating second half. The Cavs held the Lakers to 36 second-half points and won after trailing 80-77 with just under four minutes remaining in the third quarter. Cleveland's 17-0 run that extended nearly two minutes into the fourth quarter was the difference. "That wasn't who we are," Mitchell said on the Bally Sports Cleveland broadcast about a six-point halftime deficit. "It's never going to be perfect. That's going to happen, but it's how you respond through adversity. ... Coming out the way we did to start the fourth, that's big time." Mitchell now has 251 total points this season and became the third player with at least 250 points in eight games for his new team, according to ESPN Stats & Information. Wilt Chamberlain (317 points) with the Philadelphia Warriors and Kyrie Irving (255) with the Brooklyn Nets also accomplished the feat. Daruis Garland had 24 points for Cleveland, while Jarrett Allen (16 points, 11 rebounds) and Kevin Love (10 points, 10 rebounds) each had a double-double. Garland (knee) and Mitchell (ankle) each played after not taking the court Friday in a victory at Detroit. The Cavs are in a stretch where they play six of seven games on the road and visit Sacramento and Golden State once they leave Los Angeles. |

11-07-22 | Blazers v. Heat -7.5 | Top | 110-107 | Loss | -115 | 8 h 26 m | Show |
The Miami Heat have played two straight games without their leading scorer, Jimmy Butler, who has been absent due to a sore left hip. The Portland Trail Blazers have played four straight games without their leading scorer, Damian Lillard, due to strained right calf. Even worse for the Trail Blazers, they've played two straight games without starting guard Anfernee Simons, who has left foot inflammation. The Blazers and Heat will hope to welcome back these important pieces on Monday when Portland visits Miami. Lillard, who is averaging 31.0 points, was upgraded to questionable for Monday. Simons, who is second on the Blazers in scoring (22.0) and third in assists (3.9), is doubtful. Butler, who leads Miami in points (21.5) and ranks second in assists (5.5) and rebounds (6.4), could also be back on Monday after the Heat didn't list him on their injury report. The Heat, who are set to start a four-game homestand, are coming off a two-point loss at the Indiana Pacers. |

11-07-22 | Suns v. 76ers +2.5 | Top | 88-100 | Win | 100 | 10 h 10 m | Show |
Injuries and illness have hampered the Philadelphia 76ers through the first 10 games, although their most important player is on the mend. Joel Embiid, who has been sidelined with a non-COVID illness for three straight games, is close to a return as the Sixers get set to play host to the Phoenix Suns on Monday. Fellow Philadelphia star James Harden is out for at least one month with a strained tendon in his foot. For the Sixers to rebound after a 4-6 start, Embiid's return is vital. "I was 50/50 watching him at shootaround," Sixers head coach Doc Rivers said Saturday after a 106-104 loss to the New York Knicks. "I thought he was really struggling. He went through like 25 percent of shootarounds. You can see he wasn't feeling great, showed up, went out on the floor, got shots, and just felt bad. |

10-30-22 | Magic v. Mavs -9 | Top | 105-114 | Push | 0 | 6 h 15 m | Show |
Rookie Paolo Banchero has received plenty of fanfare by scoring at least 20 points in each of his first six games to begin his NBA career. Banchero also has shown that he's willing to distribute the basketball following his season-high seven-assist performance in the Orlando Magic's 113-93 victory over the Charlotte Hornets on Friday. The top overall pick of the 2022 NBA Draft will look to fill the box score yet again on Sunday when the Magic visit Luka Doncic and the Dallas Mavericks. Banchero, 19, collected 21 points and 12 rebounds to pace the Magic to their first win of the season on Friday. He is averaging 23.5 points, 8.3 rebounds, 3.8 assists, and 1.3 blocks this season. His 141 points over the first six games of his NBA career trail only Hall of Fame member Shaquille O'Neal for the most in franchise history. |

10-30-22 | Warriors -6 v. Pistons | Top | 114-128 | Loss | -110 | 5 h 49 m | Show |
The optimism surrounding the Detroit Pistons entering this season has been tempered by an early five-game losing streak. In order to end the slide, they'll have to defeat the defending champions. Detroit hosts Golden State on Sunday and will need to shore up its porous defense to have any chance of pulling an upset. The Pistons were defeated twice at home by Atlanta this week, getting blitzed by guard Trae Young and his teammates. Young scored 35 points in the Hawks' 118-113 victory on Wednesday, then erupted for 36 points and 12 assists in just three quarters on Friday as Atlanta rolled to a 136-112 triumph. Coach Dwane Casey questioned his team's defensive pride after the latest loss. "They shot almost 57 percent and that's just a sign of lack of commitment," he said. "We have to make up our minds that teams aren't going to walk in and do whatever they want to us." A big night for franchise player Cade Cunningham was wasted in the process. Despite foul trouble, Cunningham scored a career-best 35 points and also contributed nine rebounds and eight assists. However, his teammates shot 36.5 percent from the field. |

10-21-22 | Pistons v. Knicks -7 | Top | 106-130 | Win | 100 | 5 h 9 m | Show |
For Detroit Pistons coach Dwane Casey, a comeback from a double-digit deficit Wednesday provided some much-needed optimism in the midst of an extended rebuild. For the New York Knicks, their attempt to overcome a double-digit deficit offered another hard-earned lesson about the narrow margins between happiness and disappointment under coach Tom Thibodeau. The Pistons will look to build off their recent rally on Friday night when they visit New York for the Knicks' home opener. Both teams were off Thursday after back-and-forth season openers Wednesday night. The Pistons outlasted the visiting Orlando Magic, 113-109, while the Knicks fell to the host Memphis Grizzlies, 115-112, in overtime. The Pistons, who finished with the third-worst record (23-59) in the NBA last season while missing the playoffs for the third straight time and the 11th time in 13 years, got off to a slow start Wednesday, when the Magic raced out to a 21-6 lead. But the Pistons led 57-55 at the half and led by as many as 12 in the third quarter before fending off a comeback by the Magic, who tied the game at 99-99 with 5:17 left. Detroit scored the next seven points and finally finished off Orlando when Isaiah Stewart drained a 3-pointer with 11.6 seconds remaining to extend the lead to 111-107. |
|||||||
05-15-22 | Mavs v. Suns -6.5 | Top | 123-90 | Loss | -105 | 8 h 21 m | Show |
The Mavericks are just 3-10 ATS in their last 13 meetings in Phoenix and 7-18 ATS overall. The Suns are 11-3 ATS in their last 13 conference quarterfinals match-ups. |
|||||||
04-26-22 | Hawks v. Heat -7.5 | Top | 94-97 | Loss | -110 | 10 h 55 m | Show |
Atlanta has dropped 4 straight covers in Miami and four of five overall. Atlanta is just 8-20 ATS vs teams who are playing .600 ball or better. Miami has covered 9 of their last 11. |
|||||||
04-25-22 | Jazz v. Mavs -2.5 | Top | 77-102 | Win | 100 | 12 h 58 m | Show |
The Jazz have now failed to cover 8 of the last 9 meetings against Dallas and 4 of 5 in Dallas. They are also 1-9 ATS playing on one days rest and 6-19-1 ATS on the road. I'm not going all in with Dallas minus the points but I am going to lay the moneyline price here because I think it's going to be close. |
|||||||
04-20-22 | 76ers -1.5 v. Raptors | Top | 104-101 | Win | 100 | 11 h 0 m | Show |
Philadelphia may not have the bets track record in Toronto, but the Raptors have failed to cover in four straight and 5 of 6 against teams with a winning percentage of .600 or more. |
|||||||
04-08-22 | Cavs +8.5 v. Nets | Top | 107-118 | Loss | -110 | 9 h 21 m | Show |
It's really hard to lay this many points with a team that's 4-24ATS as a home favorite and 5-25-1 ATS in their last 31 home games.  |
|||||||
03-29-22 | Jazz -1 v. Clippers | Top | 115-121 | Loss | -110 | 13 h 43 m | Show |
The Jazz hasn't had a lot of success against the Clippers in Las Angeles but again we have to snuff out the lines that are trying to tell you something. Utah isn't a great spread team but they have been extremely good when coming off rest of three days or more, covering 23 of 30. |
|||||||
03-29-22 | Bulls v. Wizards +4 | Top | 107-94 | Loss | -110 | 10 h 1 m | Show |
The Bulls have had their way with the Wizards but this number has me perplexed, as I thought it would be larger. The Bulls seem to play up to their level of competition and I think that's what we're going to see here. Washington has covered 4 of their last 5 home games. |
|||||||
03-29-22 | St Bonaventure v. Xavier +2 | Top | 77-84 | Win | 100 | 7 h 21 m | Show |
The Bonnies have been a really good favorite on neutral sites over the years but they've dropped four of their last 5 in that spot and now face a Musketeers team who are running on a 34-15-2 ATS streak in their last 51 neutral site games as an underdog. I'm not going against that. |
|||||||
03-28-22 | Coastal Carolina v. South Alabama -1 | Top | 69-68 | Loss | -110 | 11 h 51 m | Show |
The Chanticleers have never been a good wager after an ATS win, in fact, they've failed to cover 20 of their last 29 in that situation. I know the Jaguars haven't been a great spread team of late but they are better than CC. |
|||||||
03-27-22 | Lakers v. Pelicans -3 | Top | 108-116 | Win | 100 | 9 h 31 m | Show |
The Lakers are just 11-27ATS in their last 38 games following an ATS win and just 7-19 ATS after allowing 125 points or more in their previous game. The Pelicans are 8-3-1 ATS in their last 12 games as a favorite. |
|||||||
03-23-22 | Washington State +3.5 v. BYU | Top | 77-58 | Win | 100 | 12 h 1 m | Show |
Although most trends point to an easy BYU cover. I have not been impressed with how BYU has responded after a win. Part of the reason they're in the NIT is a lack of consistency and that's what I'm banking on tonight in a game that should be close. |
|||||||
03-23-22 | Nets v. Grizzlies +3 | Top | 120-132 | Win | 100 | 11 h 41 m | Show |
The Grizzlies seem to have the Nets number when it comes to covering games. Memphis has cashed five straight over Brooklyn and 36 of 53 overall. Brooklyn has been an unreliable favorite, losing 22 of 30. |
|||||||
03-16-22 | Mississippi State v. Virginia -2.5 | Top | 57-60 | Win | 100 | 10 h 17 m | Show |
The bulldogs limp into this one covering just one of their last seven games md just 3 of 12 as an underdog. The Cavaliers have always been a good bounce back team, covering 8 of their last 9 after a SU loss. |
|||||||
03-15-22 | Nets -9.5 v. Magic | Top | 150-108 | Win | 100 | 10 h 29 m | Show |
The Nets are 6-1-1 ATS in their last 8 road games and 6-2-1 ATS when playing on one days rest. The magic have been horrible as home dogs for years. |
|||||||
03-15-22 | Princeton v. VCU -6.5 | Top | 79-90 | Win | 100 | 10 h 26 m | Show |
The 2022 NIT Tournament gets underway with two programs that could have found themselves in the NCAA Tournament. VCU is too active on defense for the Tigers to stay close. Princeton is just 1-5 ATS against teams playing above .600. |
|||||||
03-14-22 | Hornets v. Thunder +9.5 | Top | 134-116 | Loss | -110 | 11 h 12 m | Show |
The Charlotte defense is a polar opposite to its offense as the Hornets are 28th in the NBA in points allowed at 114.9 points per game. Charlotte is allowing opponents to shoot 46.4% overall and 35.7% from behind the three-point line. Too many points for team that can't play defense. |
|||||||
03-13-22 | Iowa +2.5 v. Purdue | Top | 75-66 | Win | 100 | 5 h 19 m | Show |
Big win yesterday against Michigan State for Purdue, so it's hard to think that they'll be able to grab that intensity level again, Iowa is 16-7-2 in their last 25 neutral site games and 5 of 6 overall ATS. |
|||||||
03-12-22 | Raptors v. Nuggets -5 | Top | 127-115 | Loss | -110 | 13 h 21 m | Show |
Toronto has covered two straight but overall but still have failed to cover 6 of 9. They are also just 2-6 ATS after scoring 100 pts or more in their previous game. Toronto is just 7-22 ATS in their last 29 meetings and 0-6 ATS in Denver. |
|||||||
03-12-22 | Michigan State v. Purdue -6 | Top | 70-75 | Loss | -105 | 7 h 8 m | Show |
The Spartans have coved three straight games but still have covered just 5 of their last 13 games. Purdue hasn't covered a game since February 8th against Illinois but the Spartans haven't been a solid cover team against the better teams in the country so I don't mind laying a number that seems to be begging you to take the Spartans. |
|||||||
03-10-22 | Warriors v. Nuggets +3.5 | Top | 113-102 | Loss | -110 | 16 h 31 m | Show |
The Denver nuggets come into this one failing to cover their last two games but overall they've won 12 of their last 14 games, and now the bookmakers are giving us points who have failed to cover 10 of their last 13. One of those covers was against the Nuggets getting 8 points. This is a true oversight and we're taking full advantage. |
|||||||
03-10-22 | UC-Davis v. CS-Fullerton -1.5 | Top | 55-73 | Win | 100 | 14 h 42 m | Show |
The Aggies have covered 3 straight games while going 5-4-1 ATS in their last 10 games. Fullerton have failed to cover 6 of their last 10 but are on a nice 9-4 ATS streak following a SU win. I', riding that streak tonight. |
|||||||
03-09-22 | Suns +8.5 v. Heat | Top | 111-90 | Win | 100 | 12 h 46 m | Show |
No movement on this number and I expect it to stay that way. I think the Heat is going to win this game but 8.5 is too much for me. It makes me feel as if the bookmakers are begging you to take the Heat who have covered 5 straight. The Suns have covered 8 of 11 road games and despite this looking like an easy Heat winner, I'm taking the generous points. |
|||||||
03-09-22 | Bulls -6 v. Pistons | Top | 114-108 | Push | 0 | 12 h 32 m | Show |
There couldn't be two teams going to in two separate directions. The Bulls have dropped 5 straight games ATS while the Pistons are on a 8 game cover streak. No matter, the Pistons are one team that the Bulls have owned, covering 10 of their last 11 meetings, including 5 straight in Detroit. We're getting a good number on this as the public has jumped on Detroit. |
|||||||
03-09-22 | Syracuse +1.5 v. Florida State | Top | 96-57 | Win | 100 | 4 h 46 m | Show |
The Orange have failed to cover 5 of 6 against the Seminoles who are on a small 3 game streak, FSU is just 4-10-1 ATS in their last 15 games following an ATS win. This is too generous of a number to pass up. |
|||||||
03-08-22 | Nets -3.5 v. Hornets | Top | 132-121 | Win | 100 | 12 h 47 m | Show |
The Brooklyn Nets have failed to cover 5 of their last 7 games but are 10-3 ATS in their last 13 meetings in Charlotte, while the Hornets are just 2-9 ATS in their last 11 home games. |
|||||||
03-08-22 | Cavs v. Pacers +4.5 | Top | 127-124 | Win | 100 | 12 h 43 m | Show |
The Pacers have failed to cover in 2 straight games and 4 of 6, but they own the Cavs at home covering 7 of their last 10 meetings and 10-1-1 the game after allowing more than 125 points. |
|||||||
03-07-22 | Warriors +9.5 v. Nuggets | Top | 124-131 | Win | 100 | 14 h 7 m | Show |
The Warriors have failed to cover 10 of their last 11 games, with a push, while Denver has covered two straight and three straight when the number is under single digits. Denver has been bumped up a little from it's opening number of 9.5, that's too rich for my blood, especially with Denver who are just 30-33-1 ATS this season. |
|||||||
03-07-22 | Delaware +6.5 v. Towson | Top | 69-56 | Win | 100 | 11 h 32 m | Show |
This looks like a complete mismatch on paper but the number seems peculiar considering the Hens have failed to cover in three straight while Towson has covered twice against James Madison in convincing fashion. We see some Delaware money coming in which I think is the side as well.  |
|||||||
03-06-22 | College of Charleston v. Hofstra -3.5 | Top | 92-76 | Loss | -115 | 10 h 45 m | Show |
The Cougars have covered 5 straight games while the Pride has failed to cover four straight. We are still seeing some Hofstra money coming in because the Cougars are just 5-13-2 ATS on neutral site games as an underdog while the Pride are 6-1 in that spot. |
|||||||
03-02-22 | Wyoming +1.5 v. UNLV | Top | 57-64 | Loss | -110 | 11 h 17 m | Show |
We have been following the Cowboys as a dog for quite some time now because the Cowboys have been on an incredible 23-5 ATS run as a road dog. UNLV hasn't been a good bounce-back team after a big loss at home. |
