03-31-18 | Rockies +138 v. Diamondbacks | 2-1 | Win | 138 | 1 h 11 m | Show
The Colorado Rockies are in need of a win. The team has started the year 0-2, with both losses coming against the Arizona Diamondbacks. The Colorado Rockies put up runs last night, but they were too late to get the win. The Rockies lost, 9-8. The Rockies have a loaded lineup, but still lack consistent pitching. German Marquez will take the mound for the Rockies. Arizona will start Zack Greinke. Greinke was suppose to get the start opening day, but a nagging injury prevented him from going opening day. Take the Rockies against the fading Zack Greinke. |

03-31-18 | White Sox -100 v. Royals | 4-3 | Win | 100 | 1 h 58 m | Show
The Chicago White Sox (0-1) are trying to extend their win streak to two games this season, and face the Kansas City Royals (0-1). The White Sox will send Lucas Giolito to the mound against Ian Kennedy and the Royals. Giolito has performed well in spring training. Ian Kennedy was terrible last year, and looked like he could have been a bullpen player. This year he does not have the lineup to help him cover up his mistakes. Kennedy was 5-13 last season. Take the surprisingly talented White Sox for the win. |

03-30-18 | Astros -176 v. Rangers | 1-5 | Loss | -176 | 6 h 10 m | Show
The Houston Astros (1-0 Overall, 1-0 Road) got off to a good start yesterday, beating the Texas Rangers (0-1, 0-1 Home), 4-1. The Astros got a quality start from ace, Justin Verlander. Tonight, the loaded Astros will send Dall Keuchel to the mound. Keuchel is basically the second ace for the Astros. His stuff is second to none, and he showed up big in the postseason for the Astros last year. With Dallas back healthy, look for the Astors to have a significant advantage in this one. Doug Fister will get the nod for the Rangers. The former Astro was 5-9 last year with the the Red Sox, and carried a 3.44 ERA. Fister is 1-1 with a 3.44 ERA against the Rangers for his career. Keuchel beat the Rangers three times last year, but is 8-8 with a 4.02 ERA for his career against the Rangers. Take the Astros in this matchup. If it comes down to a slug fest, I like the Astros lineup in this one. |
|||||||
03-29-18 | White Sox +123 v. Royals | 14-7 | Win | 123 | 2 h 58 m | Show
The Chicago White Sox are looked upon as one of the worst teams in the Majors. The team is also one of the youngest and most talented in the majors. Today the White Sox will start James Shields. Shields has been terrrible the past few seasons. Hopefully today, he can get back on track as the open day starter in a familiar place. Shields use to pitch for the Royals, so he will know the ends and outs of the playing facility. The Royals are in a total rebuild. The team traded away all their power, and every big name in the lineup except Salvador Perez. Perez is out to start the year with an MCL tear. Danny Duffy will get the nod for the Royals as the opening day starter. Take the White Sox for the win. |
|||||||

The Philadelphia Phillies are poised for a a better year than last season. The Atlanta Braves will play host in the season opener against the Phillies. The Braves are a team that can win several in a row and also do the same losing. Aaron Nola will get the nod against the Braves on opening day. Juilo Terhan gets the opening day start for the Braves. That alone should tell fans were the Braves are as a pitching unit this year. Take the Phillies on the road for the win. Rhys Hoskins will go yard for Philadelphia in this one. |
|||||||
03-29-18 | Astros -160 v. Rangers | 4-1 | Win | 100 | 1 h 18 m | Show
The defending Champion Houston Astros, start their repeat title quest on the road against in state foe Texas Rangers. The Astros bring back one of the most powerful lineups in baseball. The defending Champions will start the season healthy this year, and also have Justin Verlander a full season. Not to mention the reigning AL MVP in the roster in Jose Altuve. The Astros send Ace Justin Verlander to the mound for the season opener. The Texas Rangers are looking to improve this year, and try to take early season state bragging rights from the Astros. Cole Hamels is the opening day starter for the Rangers, but don't expect him to be there the entire year. Hamels has been the subject of trade rumors the past two seasons. Take the Astros for the road win.  |
|||||||
03-29-18 | Yankees -156 v. Blue Jays | 6-1 | Win | 100 | 1 h 18 m | Show
The New York Yankees were as close as anyone to making the World Series last year. This season, the team is poised for another deep postseason run. The Yankees picked up NL MVP Giancarlo Stanon. Stanton is a huge puck up for the Yankees this off-season. Luis Severino is the opening day starter for New York. Severino played huge last year in the regular season, then was brought back to earth in the postseason. He also was an All Star last year. The Toronto Blue Jays are in rebuild mode. The team did not make any big off-season moves. J.A. Happ is the starter for the Blue Jays on opening day. Greg Bird will miss the start of the year with an ankle injury. Take the Yankees for the opening day road win. |

10-11-17 | Yankees v. Indians -190 | 5-2 | Loss | -190 | 10 h 50 m | Show
The New York Yankees and Cleveland Indians get together for game five of the ALDS. This is a winner take all game, so expet this one to be close. CC Sabathia will take the mound for the Yankees. Sabathia is 9-5 with a 4.47 ERA in 20 showings, (19 starts) in the postseason. Opposing lineups are hitting .273 against Sabathia in the playoffs for his career. Sabathia faced the Indians in game two. He lasted 5.1 innings, allowing three hits and four runs (two earned). He got a no decision and the team lost, 9-8. Corey Kluber will look to bounce back from a bad game two outing. He was blasted against the Yankees, pitching 2.2 innings allowing seven hits and six runs (all earned). The Yankees hit .467 against him for the game. Kluber is 4-1 with a 3.16 ERA in seven career postseason starts. Lineups are hitting .248 against Kluber in the playoffs.  |

10-11-17 | Nationals v. Cubs -113 | 5-0 | Loss | -113 | 3 h 7 m | Show
This game has had a ton of off field things to comment about, but the game must go on. The Nationals will start Stephen Strasburg in game four. Strasburg originally declined to start, but after he was destroyed by the media, he decided he was good enough to go. This will be a huge distraction for the Nationals moving forward. They are already plying horrible this postseason with a .121 batting average as a team. Strasburg looked great in game one, but was unable to get any run support form his teammates. Maybe he is lashing out and that was his reason for not starting. Either way enough of the lies and what not, the game must go on. Jake Arrieta will give it a go for the Cubs. He is 4-2 with a 3.64 ERA in seven postseason starts. Lineups are hitting .201 against him in postseason outings. Arrieta is 0-1 with a 11.25 ERA in his only start of the season against the Nationals. The Nationals hit .333 against him this year. Take the Cubs at home. |

10-09-17 | Dodgers -101 v. Diamondbacks | 3-1 | Win | 100 | 3 h 19 m | Show
The Los Angeles Dodgers are looking to end the NLDS series tonight on the road against the Arizona Diamondbacks at Chase Field. The Dodgers are looking for the close out win against the Diamondbacks, and send Yu Darvish to the mound in tonight's matchup. Darvish has faced the Diamondbacks once this year. He is 1-0 with a 3.60 ERA in his only start against the Diamondbacks this season. He is 2-0 with a 2.75 ERA in three career starts against Arizona. Zack Greinke is looking to rebound from his wildcard game meltdown. He lasted 3.2 innings allowing six hits and four runs before being pulled at Chase Field. Lucky for him the Diamondbacks got the win, 11-8. He is 1-2 with a 3.65 ERA in four starts this year against the Dodgers. The Los Angeles lineup is averaging .247 against him this year. Grenkie is a bit overrated in my opinion. I'm expecting him to fold under pressure again tonight. This time he will take the loss and head home for the off-season. Take the Dodgers for the series sweep tonight. |

The Washington Nationals travel to face the Chicago Cubs at Wrigley Field. The NLDS series is tied at 1-1. The Washington Nationals are coming off a dramatic home win, 6-3. The Nationals have been here before, and should be hungry for the win. Max Scherzer is making his first start of the postseason. The veteran is familiar with pitching in postseason play. Scherzer is 3-1 with a 4.05 ERA over his last six starts. A large part of his ERA has to do with his lingering hamstring injury. He is 10-2 with a 1.82 ERA in 16 road starts this season. Scherzer is 4-4 with a 1.90 ERA in eight day game starts this season. Scherzer has faced the Cubs once this year. He is 1-0 with a 1.50 ERA in his only start against the Cubs this season. He is 5-6 with a 4.84 ERA in 16 day starts this year. Lineups are hitting .247 against him during the day this year. Quintana has never faced the Nationals in his career. Expect him to be ready to go for this one. Take the Indians for the sweep. |

10-07-17 | Cubs v. Nationals -120 | 3-6 | Win | 100 | 2 h 8 m | Show
The Chicago Cubs took game one of the ALDS, 3-0 against the Washington Nationals. This game could me everything for the Nationals. Yes it's only game two, but the Nationals have all the pressure in the world against them right now. The Nationals seem to get to the divisional round of the playoffs every season, but still find a way to disappoint. They are loaded with talent, but have yet to get over the hump. Manager Dusty Baker is respected during the regular season, but pull it together man! Will your team to a Division series win. If he can't get it done this season, he could be fired. Washington will start Gio Gonzalez (15-9, 2.96 ERA). Gonzalez has been dumpster over his last five starts. He was 2-2 with a 4.09 in September and looked worse in his last start. A home loss against the Pirates. Gonzalez numbers look decent for the season, but his most recent work has been terrible. It's all or nothing for Gonzalez and the Nats in this one. Jon Lester has performed just as bad, if not worse than Gonzalez recently. He is 5-1 with a 4.18 ERA in September. The Cubs bats have gotten him out of a a lot of bad starts last month leading to wins. Lester is a seasoned vet with a lot of playoff experience, but not to be trusting in this one. The Nats are too good not to even the series a struggling Jon Lester. Then again, the Nats are starting to give me a Petyon Manning in the playoffs type of feeling. Great, but choke more than often when it counts in the postseason. That said, take the Nationals to even the series at home. |

The New York Yankees give the rock to veteran CC Sabathia (14-5, 3.69 ERA) while the Cleveland Indians turn to Corey Kluber (18-4, 2.25 ERA) in game two of the ALDS. CC Sabathia is no stranger to postseason starts. He is 9-5 with a 4.93 ERA in 19 appearances (18 starts) over his postseason career. Sabathia has not faced the Indians this season, but is 4-3 with a 3.65 ERA in 11 career starts against his former employer. He is 7-3 on the road this year and 6-1 during day starts this season. Sabathia has pitched well his last 13 starts; going 7-2 with a 3.57 ERA over that span. Corey Kluber will make his third start against The Yankees this season. Kluber is 2-0 with a 1.59 ERA over his two starts against the Yankees this year. The Yankees bats hit .105 against Kluber over those starts. He is 5-1 with a 1.80 ERA over six starts against the Yankees for his career. He has pitched solid over his last 15 starts. Verlander has faced the Red Sox three times this season. He is 0-0 with a 2.28 ERA over eight innings pitched against Boston. The Red Sox are hitting .190 against him this season. Take the Astros at home for the win. |
