12-23-17 | Newcastle United v. West Ham United -0.5 | 3-2 | Loss | -100 | 2 h 12 m | Show
All my picks are based on interpretation of statistics, context and personal judgement. Each selection is primarily based on available value for long-term profits and not short priced easy favourites. Ultimately, I use my own analysis in combination with intelligent based software. Recommended stakes are a percentage of starting bank and given as points, as an example, 1pt would be 1% of the bank. Selection West Ham is playing a lot better now under David Moyes, they are far more organised, a lot better in defence and are starting to finally play as a team. Newcastle has gone backwards over the last month or so, they clearly lack confidence and I see them struggling today against a rejuvenated West Ham side. Stake - 2pts |
12-23-17 | Hull City v. Leeds United -0.5 | 0-1 | Win | 100 | 2 h 8 m | Show
All my picks are based on interpretation of statistics, context and personal judgement. Each selection is primarily based on available value for long-term profits and not short priced easy favourites. Ultimately, I use my own analysis in combination with intelligent based software. Recommended stakes are a percentage of starting bank and given as points, as an example, 1pt would be 1% of the bank. Selection Leeds are back in form, they have won 3 and drawn 1 of their last four league games and find themselves back in the promotion picture. Hull are poor this season, they languish in 19th spot and have won just once on the road all season from 11 games. Leeds have the form and momentum and I am going with them to win this Yorkshire derby. Stake - 2pts |
12-22-17 | Atltico Madrid -0.5 v. RCD Espanyol | 0-1 | Loss | -130 | 5 h 43 m | Show
All my picks are based on interpretation of statistics, context and personal judgement. Each selection is primarily based on available value for long-term profits and not short priced easy favourites. Ultimately, I use my own analysis in combination with intelligent based software. Recommended stakes are a percentage of starting bank and given as points, as an example, 1pt would be 1% of the bank. Selection I cannot see anything other than a win for Atletico Madrid. Madrid has not lost on the road domestically for over a year now, they are a top side, they have won the last four games away in La Liga and sit second in the table. Espanyol is miles behind Atletico in terms of talent, squad depth, management, points and standing and it would be a big surprise if they managed to win this one. Back Atletico Madrid -0.5 Stake - 2pts |
12-22-17 | Liverpool v. Arsenal | 3-3 | Push | 0 | 4 h 6 m | Show
All my picks are based on interpretation of statistics, context and personal judgement. Each selection is primarily based on available value for long-term profits and not short priced easy favourites. Ultimately, I use my own analysis in combination with intelligent based software. Recommended stakes are a percentage of starting bank and given as points, as an example, 1pt would be 1% of the bank. Selection For this bet to lose then Arsenal would have to lose, a draw sees our stakes returned and for me, there is more chance of Arsenal winning or drawing this game than losing it. When the top 6 play each other in England they are never easy games to predict, Liverpool are flying at the moment and Arsenal are rock solid at home, even their recent loss to Man Utd was unlucky. The safest and most logical pick here is to back Arsenal at home. Stake - 2pts |
12-22-17 | K.AS.Eupen v. Anderlecht -1.5 | 0-1 | Loss | -115 | 4 h 36 m | Show
All my picks are based on interpretation of statistics, context and personal judgement. Each selection is primarily based on available value for long-term profits and not short priced easy favourites. Ultimately, I use my own analysis in combination with intelligent based software. Recommended stakes are a percentage of starting bank and given as points, as an example, 1pt would be 1% of the bank. Selection Anderlecht was humiliated 5-0 at Brugge last weekend and they will be desperate to bounce back from that terrible loss. Anderlecht are a top Belgium side and that loss was shocking, they are so much better than that and I expect them to prove that with a comprehensive win today, the fans certainly will. It also helps that they are at home playing against the team rock bottom of the league who have collected just 3 points from a possible 27 on the road. Not only do I expect Anderlecht to win but I expect them to win easily, by at least 2 goals, if not more. Stake - 2pts |
12-22-17 | Gillingham +0.5 v. Fleetwood Town | 2-0 | Win | 100 | 3 h 24 m | Show
All my picks are based on interpretation of statistics, context and personal judgement. Each selection is primarily based on available value for long-term profits and not short priced easy favourites. Ultimately, I use my own analysis in combination with intelligent based software. Recommended stakes are a percentage of starting bank and given as points, as an example, 1pt would be 1% of the bank. Selection My initial instinct was to go with Fleetwood on the outrights but once I analysed this game it became apparent that the best pick would be to back Gillingham on the spreads. For this bet to lose them Gillingham would have to lose and they have not done that for 7 games now. If Fleetwood were to win it would be only their second domestic win in 11 games, hardly inspiring form. All things considered, it has to be Gillingham +0.5 Stake - 2pts |
12-22-17 | PEC Zwolle v. ADO Den Haag | 0-4 | Loss | -125 | 3 h 16 m | Show
All my picks are based on interpretation of statistics, context and personal judgement. Each selection is primarily based on available value for long-term profits and not short priced easy favourites. Ultimately, I use my own analysis in combination with intelligent based software. Recommended stakes are a percentage of starting bank and given as points, as an example, 1pt would be 1% of the bank. Selection I like PEC a lot, they have done brilliantly this season, they sit in 4th spot, ahead of Feyenoord and only twice this season have they lost in the league and that was against the top two sides in Holland, Ajax and PSV. Den Haag is an average Dutch side, they do ok but when they play the big teams they rarely win and at this stage of the season, based on position and points, PEC has to be considered a top side. For this bet to lose then PEC will have to lose and I just do not see that happening, not based on form. Stake - 2pts |
12-18-17 | Swansea City v. Everton -0.5 | 1-3 | Win | 100 | 5 h 48 m | Show
All my picks are based on interpretation of statistics, context and personal judgement. Each selection is primarily based on available value for long-term profits and not short priced easy favourites. Ultimately, I use my own analysis in combination with intelligent based software. Recommended stakes are a percentage of starting bank and given as points, as an example, 1pt would be 1% of the bank. Selection After an appalling start to the season, Everton are finally on the move, they have won 4 and drawn 1 in their last 5 competitive games including their last 3 home games. Swansea are in poor shape, they lost 4-0 to Man City in their last away game and are 8 losses, 1 win and 1 draw in their last 10 games. Everton has the form and in front of their home fans, I fully expect them to win. Stake - 2pts |
12-18-17 | Cracovia Krakow v. Gornik Zabrze -1 | 4-0 | Loss | -100 | 2 h 52 m | Show
All my picks are based on interpretation of statistics, context and personal judgement. Each selection is primarily based on available value for long-term profits and not short priced easy favourites. Ultimately, I use my own analysis in combination with intelligent based software. Recommended stakes are a percentage of starting bank and given as points, as an example, 1pt would be 1% of the bank. Selection Gornik Zabrze continues to defy expectations and will go top with a win today. It has been 15 games since Gornik were defeated at home, while Krakow has been poor on the road recently, they have lost two on the bounce and managed just the one win away in their last 5 games. Take Gornik -1 they have the incentive and momentum that will drive them to victory today. Stake - 2pts |
12-17-17 | Marseille v. Olympique Lyonnais -0.5 | 0-2 | Win | 100 | 9 h 8 m | Show
All my picks are based on interpretation of statistics, context and personal judgement. Each selection is primarily based on available value for long-term profits and not short priced easy favourites. Ultimately, I use my own analysis in combination with intelligent based software. Recommended stakes are a percentage of starting bank and given as points, as an example, 1pt would be 1% of the bank. Selection Two big teams in French football go head to head today in a game that could be decisive come to the end of the season. Both teams are in good recent form, both come into this game full of confidence and the belief they can win this game but it is Lyon that I will be backing today. In big games like this, the smallest advantage can be critical and Lyon have that with home advantage, I believe it will make a difference in Lyons favour and that will be enough of a difference to see Lyon get the win. Stake - 2pts |
12-17-17 | Hertha Berlin v. RB Leipzig -1 | 3-2 | Loss | -100 | 6 h 10 m | Show
All my picks are based on interpretation of statistics, context and personal judgement. Each selection is primarily based on available value for long-term profits and not short priced easy favourites. Ultimately, I use my own analysis in combination with intelligent based software. Recommended stakes are a percentage of starting bank and given as points, as an example, 1pt would be 1% of the bank. Selection I am expecting a much-improved performance from Leipzig this week, they have stuttered recently, they have won just once in their last 5 Bundesliga games and need a win to get their season back on track having fallen from second to fourth. Hertha Berlin is a tough side to break down, they have lost just once in their last 6 away games, however, they have won just the once as well and historically they are a poor team on the road. Leipzig should be more than capable of winning this game by a couple. Stake - 2pts |
12-17-17 | Bordeaux v. OGC Nice -0.5 | 0-1 | Win | 125 | 5 h 13 m | Show
All my picks are based on interpretation of statistics, context and personal judgement. Each selection is primarily based on available value for long-term profits and not short priced easy favourites. Ultimately, I use my own analysis in combination with intelligent based software. Recommended stakes are a percentage of starting bank and given as points, as an example, 1pt would be 1% of the bank. Selection The home form of Nice is average at best, 4 wins, 1 draw and 4 losses at home this season leaves a lot of room for improvement, but compared to the away record of Bordeaux the home record of Nice is no longer so negative. Bordeaux has lost their last 5 away games on the bounce, they are one of the worst travellers in France at this moment in time, they have become cannon fodder on the road and Nice has a great chance of improving their home record against a side so poor on the road. Stake - 2pts |
12-17-17 | Villarreal v. Celta de Vigo -0.5 | 1-0 | Loss | -100 | 4 h 24 m | Show
All my picks are based on interpretation of statistics, context and personal judgement. Each selection is primarily based on available value for long-term profits and not short priced easy favourites. Ultimately, I use my own analysis in combination with intelligent based software. Recommended stakes are a percentage of starting bank and given as points, as an example, 1pt would be 1% of the bank. Selection Villarreal form has dropped dramatically in recent weeks and they cannot be backed with any confidence. Villarreal has lost its last three La Liga games and they have allowed their heads to drop, they are better than what they have been showing but until they show that on the pitch they are well worth opposing. Celta Vigo are not so bad at home, they have lost just once in their last 6 home La Liga games and that was against Atletico Madrid and whie they started the season real poor at home they have just won their last two in front of their home fans and will be looking for the hat trick today. Celta are gaining momentum at home while Villarreal are in free fall. Stake - 2pts |
12-17-17 | Anderlecht v. Club Brugge -0.5 | 0-5 | Win | 100 | 3 h 41 m | Show
All my picks are based on interpretation of statistics, context and personal judgement. Each selection is primarily based on available value for long-term profits and not short priced easy favourites. Ultimately, I use my own analysis in combination with intelligent based software. Recommended stakes are a percentage of starting bank and given as points, as an example, 1pt would be 1% of the bank. Selection First placed Brugge welcome third-placed Anderlecht in a top of the table clash in Belgium. I am siding with Brugge, they are 10 points clear of Anderlecht, they have been far more consistent, they have won all 9 games at home this season and have lost just twice in 18 games. Anderlecht lost at home last week to second-placed Charleroi, they are not as formidable as they have been in recent years and they come into this game very vulnerable. Stake - 2pts |
12-16-17 | Valencia v. SD Eibar | 1-2 | Loss | -120 | 6 h 32 m | Show
All my picks are based on interpretation of statistics, context and personal judgement. Each selection is primarily based on available value for long-term profits and not short priced easy favourites. Ultimately, I use my own analysis in combination with intelligent based software. Recommended stakes are a percentage of starting bank and given as points, as an example, 1pt would be 1% of the bank. Selection I cannot see Valencia losing this game today and am confident that they will have enough to get the win. Eibar has been decent at home recently, however, they are not as good as second-placed Valencia and will struggle to get anything from this game, they are playing a team that only has Barcelona above them in the standings and while Valencia has stuttered a little recently they remain a top class side. If Valencia plays to their true form they will win, they did lose the last away game 1-0 at Getafe but they did win four on the bounce on the road prior to that and I am confident that the loss to Getafe was a minor bump in the road. As a safety precaution, I have backed Valencia at even ball on the spread so that in the event of a draw stakes are returned. Stake - 2pts |
12-16-17 | Huddersfield Town v. Watford -0.5 | 4-1 | Loss | -135 | 3 h 56 m | Show
All my picks are based on interpretation of statistics, context and personal judgement. Each selection is primarily based on available value for long-term profits and not short priced easy favourites. Ultimately, I use my own analysis in combination with intelligent based software. Recommended stakes are a percentage of starting bank and given as points, as an example, 1pt would be 1% of the bank. Selection I cannot see anything other than a Watford win today. Watford have stuttered a little recently but they remain a good competent side and back at home they must feel very confident they will get back to winning ways today, they held Tottenham 1-1 last time they were at home and have beaten Arsenal and drawn with Liverpool as well on their home ground. Huddersfield cannot win away but that is not their only problem, they cannot score either. They scored 3 against Palace on their first away game this season but since then have gone seven away games without scoring once, they have lost their last five away games on the bounce and conceded 16 goals in those 5 games. Unless there is a monumental turnaround in form from Huddersfield it is a home win all day long. Stake - 3pts |
12-16-17 | Sport-Club Freiburg v. FC Augsburg -0.5 | 3-3 | Loss | -130 | 3 h 55 m | Show
All my picks are based on interpretation of statistics, context and personal judgement. Each selection is primarily based on available value for long-term profits and not short priced easy favourites. Ultimately, I use my own analysis in combination with intelligent based software. Recommended stakes are a percentage of starting bank and given as points, as an example, 1pt would be 1% of the bank. Selection I saw Augsburg live against Schalke and I was impressed, they showed character to come back from 2-0 down and they were unfortunate to lose in the end, they were playing Schalke away and remember that Schalke is second in the Bundesliga. Freiburg have hit a rich vein of form and they did win away last time out but they remain a poor away side having lost 5 of their 7 away games in the league this season, they are a limited side and will struggle to get anything at Augsburg today. Take Augsburg -0.5 Stake - 2pts |
12-16-17 | Schalke 04 v. Eintracht Frankfurt | 2-2 | Push | 0 | 3 h 47 m | Show
All my picks are based on interpretation of statistics, context and personal judgement. Each selection is primarily based on available value for long-term profits and not short priced easy favourites. Ultimately, I use my own analysis in combination with intelligent based software. Recommended stakes are a percentage of starting bank and given as points, as an example, 1pt would be 1% of the bank. Selection I am not convinced by Schalke at all, they disappointed me midweek despite beating Augsburg 3-2, they allowed a 2 goal lead to slip and were in danger of losing the game and even though I backed them in that game I was not impressed by them at all and that is not the first time I felt like that about Schalke this season. They are not rock solid away and Frankfurt has every reason to feel they can get something from this game. Put it this way, I am far more confident in Frankfurt not losing than I am in Schalke winning and the draw sees stakes returned. Stake - 2pts |
12-16-17 | Crystal Palace v. Leicester -0.5 | 3-0 | Loss | -125 | 2 h 33 m | Show
All my picks are based on interpretation of statistics, context and personal judgement. Each selection is primarily based on available value for long-term profits and not short priced easy favourites. Ultimately, I use my own analysis in combination with intelligent based software. Recommended stakes are a percentage of starting bank and given as points, as an example, 1pt would be 1% of the bank. Selection Leicester has finally got momentum, they are flying right now, they beat Southampton easily midweek and that was their fourth win on the bounce and they have lost just once in their last 12 games and that was against Man City, the best team in the league. Palace was very lucky midweek to get a 2-1 win and while they are starting to perform better they are still a long way from being on the same level as what Leicester are right now. Leicester are a confident home win Stake - 3pts |
12-15-17 | Hamburger SV v. Borussia Monchengladbach -0.5 | 1-3 | Win | 100 | 2 h 14 m | Show
All my picks are based on interpretation of statistics, context and personal judgement. Each selection is primarily based on available value for long-term profits and not short priced easy favourites. Ultimately, I use my own analysis in combination with intelligent based software. Recommended stakes are a percentage of starting bank and given as points, as an example, 1pt would be 1% of the bank. Selection I cannot see anything other than a comfortable win today for Borrusia Monchengladbach today. The home side has mixed form at home but it is a lot better than the away form of Hamburg. Hamburg are woeful on the road and Borussia should be more than capable of winning this game by a couple of goals. Stake - 3pts |
12-13-17 | Everton v. Newcastle United | 1-0 | Win | 125 | 6 h 1 m | Show
All my picks are based on interpretation of statistics, context and personal judgement. Each selection is primarily based on available value for long-term profits and not short priced easy favourites. Ultimately, I use my own analysis in combination with intelligent based software. Recommended stakes are a percentage of starting bank and given as points, as an example, 1pt would be 1% of the bank. Selection Everton is finally improving, the appointment of Sam Allardyce has worked wonders to date and 3 wins and a draw in their last 4 games, including that 1-1 draw at free-scoring Liverpool, is a testament to their improved form. Newcastle is going the other way, they are now winless in their last 7 games, losing 6 of them, they are in free fall at the moment and well worth opposing. Take Everton at even ball on the spreads Stake - 2pts |
12-13-17 | FC Augsburg v. Schalke 04 -0.5 | 2-3 | Win | 100 | 5 h 28 m | Show
All my picks are based on interpretation of statistics, context and personal judgement. Each selection is primarily based on available value for long-term profits and not short priced easy favourites. Ultimately, I use my own analysis in combination with intelligent based software. Recommended stakes are a percentage of starting bank and given as points, as an example, 1pt would be 1% of the bank. Selection Schalke have an excellent chance to move into second place in the Bundesliga and in front of their home fans will be determined to collect all 3 points. Schale is strong at home, they have lost just once this season on their home ground and that was against runaway leaders Bayern Munich. Augsburg is not that bad actually, they are only 3 points behind Schalke and have a decent away record but I do not feel they have the same quality in depth that Schalke have and in front of a passionate home crowd I do see them losing. Stake - 2pts |
12-13-17 | VfB Stuttgart v. TSG Hoffenheim -0.5 | 0-1 | Win | 100 | 4 h 32 m | Show
All my picks are based on interpretation of statistics, context and personal judgement. Each selection is primarily based on available value for long-term profits and not short priced easy favourites. Ultimately, I use my own analysis in combination with intelligent based software. Recommended stakes are a percentage of starting bank and given as points, as an example, 1pt would be 1% of the bank. Selection Hoffenheim look good for the win today, they have been inconsistent in the early part of the season but a lot of that is down to European commitments, which are now at an end. In their last home game they beat second-placed Leipzig 4-0 and while I do not see a similar scoreline today I do see them winning comfortably. Stuttgart is a very poor away side, they have lost 7 of their 8 away games, drawing the other one and there is no reason to feel that they can get anything from this game. Stake - 3pts |
12-12-17 | Stoke City v. Burnley -0.5 | 0-1 | Win | 120 | 7 h 2 m | Show
All my picks are based on interpretation of statistics, context and personal judgement. Each selection is primarily based on available value for long-term profits and not short priced easy favourites. Ultimately, I use my own analysis in combination with intelligent based software. Recommended stakes are a percentage of starting bank and given as points, as an example, 1pt would be 1% of the bank. Selection Burnley are a strong home side, they lost their first home game of the season but since then have lost just the once in front of their home fans and that was against Arsenal, they beat Watford at the weekend at home and will feel confident they can maintain that today. Stoke took a hammering against Tottenham at the weekend, they have won just once away all season and have won just once in their last 6 Premier League games home or away. Burnley -0.5 Stake - 2pts |
12-12-17 | RB Leipzig v. VfL Wolfsburg | 1-1 | Push | 0 | 5 h 38 m | Show
All my picks are based on interpretation of statistics, context and personal judgement. Each selection is primarily based on available value for long-term profits and not short priced easy favourites. Ultimately, I use my own analysis in combination with intelligent based software. Recommended stakes are a percentage of starting bank and given as points, as an example, 1pt would be 1% of the bank. Selection Leipzig has struggled away this season, however, they have been consumed with Champions League football and now that is over they can get back to the bread and butter of the Bundesliga, they still have some issues on the road but they sit 2nd in the league and on their day can beat almost anyone, if they play to their true ability today they will win. Wolfsburg have lost just once at home all season but they have only won twice as well, they have drawn an incredible 5 times at home from 8 home games, it is just a matter of time before their resilience crumbles because they are not really that good as a side. Leipzig at even ball on the spreads. Stake - 2pts |
12-11-17 | Cardiff City v. Reading | 2-2 | Push | 0 | 3 h 40 m | Show
All my picks are based on interpretation of statistics, context and personal judgement. Each selection is primarily based on available value for long-term profits and not short priced easy favourites. Ultimately, I use my own analysis in combination with intelligent based software. Recommended stakes are a percentage of starting bank and given as points, as an example, 1pt would be 1% of the bank. Selection Cardiff City sits 2nd in the English Championship and a win today will take them within 2 points of leaders Wolves, a loss will leave them 5 points adrift and being dragged back into the playoff picture. Reading sit 16th, they are not so strong at home winning just 3 times in 10 home games which does not compare well with Cardiff 6 away wins in 10 road games. I was tempted to back Cardiff outright but the safety net of returned stakes in the event of a draw is the safer option Cardiff even spread Stake - 2pts |
12-10-17 | Sporting Charleroi v. Anderlecht -1 | 3-1 | Loss | -105 | 2 h 19 m | Show
All my picks are based on interpretation of statistics, context and personal judgement. Each selection is primarily based on available value for long-term profits and not short priced easy favourites. Ultimately, I use my own analysis in combination with intelligent based software. Recommended stakes are a percentage of starting bank and given as points, as an example, 1pt would be 1% of the bank. Selection There have been two surprises in Belgium soccer this season, 1) Charleroi are doing far better than expected and 2) Anderlecht are doing worse than expected. But, these two teams are on the same points and with European soccer over I expect to see Anderlecht kick on and concentrate solely on their league performance. Charleroi is still in form for sure but it is a tall order for them to go to Anderlecht and win and I am of the opinion that the home side will begin their resurgence with a win today and probably by a couple of goals, they have a point to prove now. Stake - 2pts |
12-10-17 | Manchester City -0.5 v. Manchester United | 2-1 | Win | 120 | 2 h 54 m | Show
All my picks are based on interpretation of statistics, context and personal judgement. Each selection is primarily based on available value for long-term profits and not short priced easy favourites. Ultimately, I use my own analysis in combination with intelligent based software. Recommended stakes are a percentage of starting bank and given as points, as an example, 1pt would be 1% of the bank. Selection Despite the fact that United are the home team they will be far more defensive than City in this game. City is probably the best side in club football in the world at the moment, they are running away with the Premier League and are playing some of the best soccer seen anywhere in many years, they really are a fantastic team. United will be without Pogba and that is significant, their manager will employ defensive tactics throughout, that is his style when he puts out a team against superior opposition and for the most part it works, but parking the bus against City will not work. Stake - 3pts |
12-09-17 | YR KV Mechelen v. KV Oostende -0.5 | 1-0 | Loss | -120 | 13 h 50 m | Show
All my picks are based on interpretation of statistics, context and personal judgement. Each selection is primarily based on available value for long-term profits and not short priced easy favourites. Ultimately, I use my own analysis in combination with intelligent based software. Recommended stakes are a percentage of starting bank and given as points, as an example, 1pt would be 1% of the bank. Selection Oostende have seen an upsurge in form, they have won 4 and drawn 2 of their last 6 league games, form that sees them have the third-best record in the league over the last 6 games. Mechelen on the other cannot buy a win away from home, they have picked up just 3 points from a possible 24 on the road and have won just twice in their last 20 league games on the road. This is a game that has a team in form hosting a team incapable of winning away. Stake - 2pts |
12-09-17 | MIllwall v. Aston Villa -0.5 | 0-0 | Loss | -135 | 11 h 0 m | Show
All my picks are based on interpretation of statistics, context and personal judgement. Each selection is primarily based on available value for long-term profits and not short priced easy favourites. Ultimately, I use my own analysis in combination with intelligent based software. Recommended stakes are a percentage of starting bank and given as points, as an example, 1pt would be 1% of the bank. Selection If Aston Villa wants to get promotion this season then this is the sort of game they must win, they are strong at home, they have lost just once all season on their home turf and have won 5 of their last 6 home games. Millwall are a poor away side, they have not won on the road this season and in fact, they have not won away from home over the last 18 games, that really is poor. Stake - 3pts |
12-09-17 | Birmingham City v. Fulham -1 | 0-1 | Push | 0 | 11 h 55 m | Show
All my picks are based on interpretation of statistics, context and personal judgement. Each selection is primarily based on available value for long-term profits and not short priced easy favourites. Ultimately, I use my own analysis in combination with intelligent based software. Recommended stakes are a percentage of starting bank and given as points, as an example, 1pt would be 1% of the bank. Selection While Fulham are not exactly a great team they are nowhere near as poor as Birmingham, I cannot stress how poor a team Birmingham is, I watched them this week and what I witnessed is a team incapable of making chances, they have failed to score in 6 of their last 8 matches and scored just twice in that sequence. Fulham has scored in 16 of their 20 games this season, home and away and I see them winning by at least 2 goals today. Stake - 2pts |
12-09-17 | Chelsea -1 v. West Ham United | 0-1 | Loss | -130 | 9 h 39 m | Show
All my picks are based on interpretation of statistics, context and personal judgement. Each selection is primarily based on available value for long-term profits and not short priced easy favourites. Ultimately, I use my own analysis in combination with intelligent based software. Recommended stakes are a percentage of starting bank and given as points, as an example, 1pt would be 1% of the bank. Selection I cannot see anything other than a Chelsea win today. West Ham is a poor side, they hate playing at their new stadium, there is no real atmosphere there and the size of the pitch will suit Chelsea. Chelsea are no longer distracted by European football for the next few months and now is the time to consolidate their league position, they will tear into West Ham today and win handsomely. Stake - 3pts |

12-08-17 | Bayer Leverkusen v. VfB Stuttgart | 2-0 | Loss | -100 | 3 h 4 m | Show
All my picks are based on interpretation of statistics, context and personal judgement. Each selection is primarily based on available value for long-term profits and not short priced easy favourites. Ultimately, I use my own analysis in combination with intelligent based software. Recommended stakes are a percentage of starting bank and given as points, as an example, 1pt would be 1% of the bank. Selection Stuttgart may be struggling slightly in the Bundesliga but they have been very strong at home recently winning 5 and drawing 1 of their last 6 home games and remain unbeaten on their home ground this season in the league. Bayer has been fairly solid on the road recently but they have won just the twice on the road in their 7 away games this season. Stuttgart are good value to back on the spreads and for this pick to lose Bayer must win, a draw sees stakes returned. Stuttgart on the spread Stake - 2pts |
12-08-17 | Lechia Gdansk v. Gornik Zabrze -0.5 | 1-1 | Loss | -100 | 3 h 2 m | Show
All my picks are based on interpretation of statistics, context and personal judgement. Each selection is primarily based on available value for long-term profits and not short priced easy favourites. Ultimately, I use my own analysis in combination with intelligent based software. Recommended stakes are a percentage of starting bank and given as points, as an example, 1pt would be 1% of the bank. Selection Gornik Zabrze sit top of the Polish league, they are unbeaten at home this season, in fact you have to go back to the beginning of March last year for the last time they lost at home, they have won 4 of their last 6 home games and will be looking to extend their impressive home record today. Lechia are a poor away side, they have just 3 wins this season on the road from 9 games and won just 4 games away all last season. Gornik is consistently underestimated because they are a promoted side, but that are top for a reason and it is to our advantage that they are so underestimated. Gornik -0.5 Stake - 2pts |
12-07-17 | Sporting Braga v. Istanbul Basaksehir -0.5 | 1-2 | Win | 100 | 13 h 23 m | Show
All my picks are based on interpretation of statistics, context and personal judgement. Each selection is primarily based on available value for long-term profits and not short priced easy favourites. Ultimately, I use my own analysis in combination with intelligent based software. Recommended stakes are a percentage of starting bank and given as points, as an example, 1pt would be 1% of the bank. Selection Istanbul must win if they are to have any hope of qualifying for the next round, they narrowly lost against Braga earlier in this group and currently sit top of the Turkish league. Braga has already qualified for the next round, they do not have the same incentive as Istanbul and very few teams relish playing a critical game in Turkey. Istanbul -0.5 Stake - 2pts |
12-07-17 | FC Sheriff Tiraspol v. FC Copenhagen -1 | 0-2 | Win | 115 | 13 h 16 m | Show
All my picks are based on interpretation of statistics, context and personal judgement. Each selection is primarily based on available value for long-term profits and not short priced easy favourites. Ultimately, I use my own analysis in combination with intelligent based software. Recommended stakes are a percentage of starting bank and given as points, as an example, 1pt would be 1% of the bank. Selection This is a must-win game for Copenhagen, if they win they go above Sheriff and will qualify for the next round, a draw or loss and they are out, they held Sheriff 0-0 earlier in the competition and in front of their home fans will feel very confident they can get the win they desperately crave. Sheriff has only ever won once away in the Europa League and that was in their last game against Lokomotiv Moscow, their first win in 18 attempts, they are poor travellers in Europe and a journey to freezing cold Denmark will be a very tough ask. Copenhagen -1 Stake - 2pts |
12-07-17 | Everton v. Apollon Limassol -0.5 | 3-0 | Loss | -100 | 13 h 11 m | Show
All my picks are based on interpretation of statistics, context and personal judgement. Each selection is primarily based on available value for long-term profits and not short priced easy favourites. Ultimately, I use my own analysis in combination with intelligent based software. Recommended stakes are a percentage of starting bank and given as points, as an example, 1pt would be 1% of the bank. Selection Everton is out of this competition, this is a game they could have done without, they have absolutely nothing to play for and their manager Sam Allardyce has already announced that he will not be fielding his best players. Apollon is also out, however, they do have something to play for, they are in front of their home fans playing a Premier League side, they would love to beat a team from one of Europe's elite leagues, it would be a historic moment for them and they will feel confident they can get the win after holding Everton to a 2-2 draw in England. Apollon -0.5 Stake - 3pts |
12-06-17 | Napoli -1.5 v. Feyenoord | 1-2 | Loss | -100 | 20 h 30 m | Show
All my picks are based on interpretation of statistics, context and personal judgement. Each selection is primarily based on available value for long-term profits and not short priced easy favourites. Ultimately, I use my own analysis in combination with intelligent based software. Recommended stakes are a percentage of starting bank and given as points, as an example, 1pt would be 1% of the bank. Selection Feyenoord has nothing to play for, they are struggling by their own standards domestically and have lost both their home games in the champions league including a 4-0 loss to Man City. Napoli must collect all three points and hope that Man City beat Shakhtar to qualify for the knockout stages, they have no choice but to win and will be attack-minded throughout. Napoli -1.5 Stake - 1.5 pts |
12-05-17 | Anderlecht v. Celtic -0.5 | 1-0 | Loss | -130 | 5 h 5 m | Show
I am very confident that Celtic will get the win today and qualify for the Europa League. Celtic beat Anderlecht 3-0 in Belgium and will have 60000 screaming fans behind them today, I can see no reason why there will be a different result at Celtic Park. Anderlecht is 3rd in the league in their own country and are not the team they were last year, Celtic are breaking all records in Scotland, the difference between the pair is glaring. All things considered, I just cannot see anything other than a clear home win. |
12-04-17 | Wolverhampton Wanderers v. Birmingham City +0.5 | 1-0 | Loss | -100 | 5 h 45 m | Show
On paper, this should be an easy win for Wolves but there are good reasons to oppose such a scenario. Wolves are top of the table with 44 points, Birmingham is 22nd on just 16 points, the difference is quite glaring, however not all is as it seems. For starters this is a Birmingham derby, these two teams are bitter rivals and as in most derbies, form and statistics tend to be thrown out of the window. Birmingham is not actually that bad at home considering their league position, they have won 3 of their last 5 home games, including a win over Cardiff who sits second in the table, they also drew 0-0 with another Birmingham based side Aston Villa, who like Wolves were the better team on paper. Wolves may sit at the top but they have lost twice in the last five away games they have played, they do not sweep all before them on the road, they can and do get beat when they travel. This game will have passion, the atmosphere will be electric and I am of the opinion that Birmingham will not lose, they may not win but that makes no difference to me, the only way this pick loses is if Birmingham loses and I am confident that they will do enough in front of their home fans to deny their hated rivals. Take Birmingham -0.5 |
12-03-17 | Borussia Monchengladbach v. VfL Wolfsburg | 0-3 | Loss | -100 | 9 h 16 m | Show
I am taking Borussia Monchengladbach to get the win today against Wolfsburg. Wolfsburg are not actually a bad home side, they have lost just the once all season on their home ground, the first game of the season against Dortmund, however, they rarely win at home, they have drawn 5 of their 7 home games and that is one of the reasons they are at the wrong end of the table. Monchengladbach do win away, they have won their last 3 road games on the bounce on their travels, they have lost just once away all season and that was also against Dortmund, they are 4th in the Bundesliga and a win will see them go second. a huge incentive. Wolfsburg are the home side and do know how to shut up shop, but Monchengladbach is in great form and should have too much for Wolfsburg to handle. Take Monchengladbach on the even spread |
12-03-17 | AZ -0.5 v. VVV-Venlo | 2-0 | Win | 100 | 4 h 10 m | Show
A win here today for AZ and they will go second in the Dutch Eredivisie and I am backing them to do just that. AZ are in great form at the moment, they have won their last 5 league games on the bounce, they have won 4 of their last 5 away games with the other one being a draw, based on the form over the last 5 games they are one of the best sides in the league. Venlo are 12th, 13 points behind AZ, they have not won in their last 6 games, although they have drawn their last 3 and at home, they have won just once all season, their first home game of the season. The current form difference between these sides is significant and I simply cannot see any evidence that Venlo will stop AZ winning today. Take AZ -0.5 |
12-02-17 | Boavista v. GD Chaves -0.5 | 0-0 | Loss | -100 | 7 h 13 m | Show
I saw Chaves live in midweek and I liked what I saw, yes they are a mediocre side in Portuguese football but then so is Boavista. Chaves have started to get it right at home recently and Boavista are no great side on the road. As long as Chaves play like they did midweek then I cannot see any other result than a home win. Take Chaves -0.5 |
12-02-17 | Huddersfield Town v. Everton -0.5 | 0-2 | Win | 100 | 2 h 51 m | Show
Everton have finally found some form and they should start to kick on now, they have the players to do so and if their confidence has returned then we will see a very different Everton from now on. Huddersfield are no walkovers but chances are they will find Everton too strong today, which is unfortunate for them as any time previously they would have seen this game as an opportunity to get points. All things considered and the change around in Everton form is enough for me to back the Toffees today. Take Everton -0.5 |
11-28-17 | Newcastle United v. West Bromwich Albion -0.5 | 2-2 | Loss | -100 | 15 h 41 m | Show
I am going with West Brom to beat Newcastle United. A quick look at West Brom recent form and you would not be impressed but some context is required. For starters, they drew 1-1 away at Tottenham at the weekend, not even Real Madrid could achieve that and while they have lost their last four on the bounce 2 of those losses were against Chelsea and Man City and the other 2 were away games. West Brom at home against non-top 3 sides are unbeaten, albeit they have drawn 3 of those games. Point being is that West Brom is better than the bare results suggest. Newcastle are falling like a rock in water, they are above West Brom in the standings, however, they are in a terrible run of form, they have lost the last four games on the bounce and at the weekend got stuffed 3-0 at home. Considering the weekend results and a proper analysis of recent results then it is West Brom for me. West Brom 0.5 |
11-28-17 | Crystal Palace v. Brighton and Hove Albion | 0-0 | Push | 0 | 15 h 33 m | Show
I am taking Brighton to beat Crystal Palace in the Premier League on Tuesday. Brighton are proving to be quite a solid home outfit, they have lost just once all season on their home turf and that was their first home game against runaway Premier League leaders Man City, since then they have won 2 and drawn 3. Palace, on the other hand, are the exact opposite, they have lost all 6 away games this season and have not scored a single goal. Now, Palace did win at home in their last game 2-1 against Stoke City while Brighton lost, however, Brighton lost away at Man Utd, which is hardly a surprise and Palace won with a goal in injury time, so a little perspective is required. All in all, I cannot see Brighton losing, a draw and we get our stakes returned so this is a very safe pick. Take Brighton 0 |
11-27-17 | Getafe CF v. RCD Espanyol -0.5 | 0-1 | Win | 110 | 3 h 7 m | Show
I am going with Espanyol to beat Getafe in La Liga today. Espanyol are at the wrong end of the table but they have always been a limited side but they are no weaklings at home, in fact, they are quite decent at home. They lost their opening home game of the season but after that, they have lost just once at home and that was last time out against a very impressive Valencia, who sits second in the standings above the likes of Real Madrid. They have won 3 and drawn 1 of their last 5 home games and against sides like Getafe they do very well on their home turf, well, they have this season. Getafe are above Espanyol in the standings but they struggle to win on the road, they do draw a bit but 1 win away all season tells its own story, they are not easy to beat I accept that, they have lost just the once in their 6 away games but against a side that wins at home they will find that it is not easy to rack up another draw. All things considered, I am going for Espanyol to win. Take Espanyol -0.5 |
11-26-17 | Zaglebie Lubin v. Slask Wroclaw | 0-1 | Win | 100 | 2 h 10 m | Show
I am going with Slask Wroclaw to get the win today. Two very average teams with not much separating them in the Polish league and it is the small stuff that will make all the difference here today. Slask is a surprisingly strong team at home, they have won 8 of their last 11 on their home ground and only tend to lose to the better teams. Zaglebie is a very poor away side, they have lost 3 and drawn 2 of their last 5 away games, in better words, they are on a 5 game winless run on the road. Zaglebie are actually the favourites but not in my book and taking Slask on level spread is the safest option, it means stakes are returned if it is a draw and the only way for this pick to lose is if Slask lose. Take Slask 0 |
11-25-17 | Lille OSC v. Montpellier -0.5 | 0-3 | Win | 110 | 6 h 44 m | Show
It would be a big surprise to me if Montpellier does not beat a very poor Lille side today. Lille is second bottom in Ligue 1, they have lost four of their six away games with the only win coming against the only side below them in the standings. Montpellier are far from brilliant at home, in fact they are a bit poor, they have registered just two wins in their seven home games, they do need to improve that is for sure and they have a great opportunity to do just that against one of the worst teams in the top French league at this time. This is more about how bad Lille are rather than how average Montpellier are, this is the exact sort of game that Montpellier will expect to win and I fully expect them to live up to those expectations. All things considered, Montpellier is the bet. Take Montpellier -0.5 |
11-25-17 | MKS Sandecja Nowy Sacz v. Arka Gdynia -0.5 | 0-5 | Win | 100 | 4 h 56 m | Show
I am backing Arka to get the win in this Polish Ekstraklasa match up. Sandecja is a poor away side, they have not won in the league in their last four road trips losing three of those games, they have notched up just the two away wins and find themselves fourth bottom in the standings. Arka are not world beaters and did lose their last home match, however, they went unbeaten in the previous four at home and their early season mishaps probably had more to do with their Europa League football commitments. Aeka is the better side, the league standings show that and I expect them to get the win today. Take Arka -0.5 |
11-24-17 | GD Chaves v. Belenenses -0.5 | 1-0 | Loss | -100 | 5 h 11 m | Show
I am backing Belenenses to maintain their good home form and get the win today in Portugal. This season Belenenses remain unbeaten at home, they have won four and drawn two, they have won the last three on the bounce with their last home match being a convincing 3-0 home win. Chaves, by contrast, are not that great away, they have four losses, one draw and just the one win and in fact, over the last 20 away games they have just that one solitary win. Belenenses are no world beaters, but they have been solid at home this season and Chaves are woeful travellers, it would be a surprise to me if that form changes around today. All things considered, Belenenses are a strong pick. Take Belenenses -0.5 |
11-23-17 | FC Zorya Lugansk v. Ostersunds -0.5 | 0-2 | Win | 100 | 4 h 50 m | Show
I am going with Ostersund to get the win tonight. Ostersund has been very impressive in the Europa League this season, they beat Hertha Berlin when they visited Sweden and held Atheltic Bilbao to a draw, two very good results considering their level, they sit top of the group and they are taking this competition very very serious. Zorya are surprisingly second in the group, they have been decent themselves and actually beat Athletico in Spain, but that was a one off, they have lost five of their last six Europa League games away and have now gone five games winless in all competition. It is absolutely freezing in Sweden right now, the snow has landed big time and under those conditions and with the respective home and away form it is Ostersund all day long for me. Take Ostersunds -0.5 |
11-23-17 | FC Copenhagen v. Lokomotiv Moscow -0.5 | 1-2 | Win | 100 | 4 h 35 m | Show
This game is massive for both clubs, only one point separates the top three in Group F and a loss could be disastrous for either team. Lokomotiv do have the advantage of playing at home and that could well prove decisive, they did lose at home to Sheriff last time out but I do not see a repeat of that against Copenhagen today. Copenhagen has lost their last two European games away against Vardar and Qarabag, hardly household names, in fact, Copenhagen have won just twice away in their last 12 road games and are on a six-game winless streak away from home. Lokomotiv may be average at home but their record in front of their home fans is far better than the Danes away record that is for sure. Considering what is at stake and the state of Copenhagens away form then it has to be Lokomotive for the win. Take Lokomotiv -0.5 |
11-22-17 | Roma +0.5 v. Atltico Madrid | 0-2 | Loss | -105 | 5 h 53 m | Show
Massive game for both sides and I am going with the Italians to get either get a draw or the win. It is no easy task to go to Atletico and get a result but it has been easier this season than in the past, they lost at home to Chelsea and drew with Karabakh in their last two home games in this competition and they are in serious danger of not qualifying, in fact, if they do not win they are out. Roma knows that a win and they top the group and get a potentially easier draw in the knock out stages, they also know a draw guarantees qualification no matter what. So both teams know what is at stake, however, this is about form more than anything else and Roma have it and Atletico do not, Roma are top for a reason, they are a very good team, they showed this against Chelsea, they have won their last six games in all competitions and are on a roll. Athletico have won just twice in their last nine games in all competitions, they have not lost but 7 draws is indicative of a big problem, Roma may not win but I do not see them losing and the best value bet is taking the Italians on the spreads. Take Roma +0.5 |
11-22-17 | Barcelona v. Juventus | 0-0 | Push | 0 | 5 h 40 m | Show
Two football giants clash this evening in Europe and it is Juventus I take to win. If Juventus lose they face a real possibility of elimination at the group stage, that is unthinkable for them and while they are still in the driving seat terms in terms of their own qualification I do not see them giving up that advantage. Juventus were stunned at the weekend losing away at Sampdoria and if anything was flattered by the result, they are third in the Italian league and are not playing the same as they were last season but they remain a world-class team and won 9 of their last 12 games prior to that defeat last weekend. Additionally, Juventus have won 8 of their last 9 games on their own turf and did beat Barcelona 3-0 last season in this competition in Turin. Barcelona are world class we all know this but they remain vulnerable against top sides away from home, they have failed to get wins at Real Madrid and Athletico Madrid away this season and last season got thrashed against Juventus and PSG away in this competition. Barcelona did beat Juventus easily in Spain earlier this season but that is usual for them, they are a very different beast at home compared to away. All things considered, I am of the opinion that there is more of a chance of Juventus winning or drawing than Barcelona winning this game. A draw sees stakes returned and backing Juventus at even ball represents the safest option. Take Juventus 0 |
11-22-17 | Sheffield Wednesday v. Ipswich Town | 2-2 | Push | 0 | 4 h 1 m | Show
I am going with Ipswich town to not lose this game and probably win it. Ipswich sits above Sheff Weds in the league standings, albeit by a single point, they are in good recent form having drawn their last game away at Hull and beating Preston 3-0 last time they were at home. Sheff Weds are unbeaten in their last four league games but three of those were at home, they did win their last away game at Villa but went winless for 7 games prior to that. These two teams are fairly evenly matched and for me, it was about seeking a balance and on the balance of things, the most unlikely outcome was an away win, there is far more chance of a draw or Ipswich win. I am taking Ipswich on the spreads at even ball, this means a draw sees stakes returned and the only way this bet loses is if Sheff weds win. Take Ipswich 0 |
11-22-17 | Benfica v. CSKA Moscow -0.5 | 0-2 | Win | 105 | 2 h 21 m | Show
I am going with CSKA Moscow to get the win and to give themselves a huge chance of qualifying for the knockout games. Benfica cannot qualify, they are out, they cannot overtake Basel due to head to head and have absolutely nothing to play for other than pride, that is not the case for the Russian side. CSKA also know they are away to Man Utd in the last game and that this game represents the best opportunity to pick up three points. A win for CSKA also puts immense pressure on Basel as they play later, they do not want the Swiss side to play with freedom and comfort, they will want them to know they must get something from their game against United. All things questioned CSKA must win and against a team with no incentive that is what I expect. Take CSKA -0.5 |
11-21-17 | RB Leipzig v. AS Monaco | 4-1 | Loss | -110 | 5 h 3 m | Show
I am going with Monaco to get the win today in this Champions League clash with German side Leipzig. Monaco are more or less out of the competition but mathematically they have a hope, they would have to win this game and hope that Porto does not beat Besiktas and go into the last game in the group with slim hopes of finishing second, anything less and they are out. Point is this, that Monaco still has something to play for. Leipzig also knows they must get something from this game, though if Porto wins then Leipzig must also win, so just like Monaco, they have something to play for. Therefore, what we have is a competitive game with a lot on the line but only one of these teams is in really good form and that is Monaco. Monaco went through a torrid period earlier in the season and that is why they are where they are now but they have turned things around and find themselves second in the French League and on a 5 game unbeaten run in all competitions, they have finally got their act together after a summer of turmoil that saw some of their best players leave. Leipzig is still doing good in Germany, they currently sit third but they have hit a patch of bad form, they have just one win in their last five competitive games and that is not the best preparation for a must-win game. This will be an entertaining game but Monaco has home advantage and has finally started to play to form and have just as much to play for as what Leipzig do. I have gone with the French side on the spreads as a safety option, Leipzig is still dangerous and on the balance of things I see Monaco winning but a draw sees stakes returned and that safety first option appeals in this type of game. Take Monaco at even spread. |
11-21-17 | Liverpool v. Sevilla FC | 3-3 | Push | 0 | 5 h 53 m | Show
I am going with Sevilla to get the win over Liverpool today in the Champions League. There is still everything to play for in Group E, Sevilla is second on 7 points and Liverpool first on 8 points, neither team can be eliminated but a win would give either side a massive boost and almost certain qualification to the next stage. Both sides come into this game in very good form, Sevilla has lost just once in their last five games, away against Barcelona 2-1 and won the other four games, they were in poor form before that but are now on a roll. Liverpool has won four of their last five games also and the last four on the bounce, their only loss in that sequence was a 4-1 hammering at Tottenham. So, we have two teams in good recent form and both have something massive to play for and it is hard to separate the pair, however, Sevilla have one single advantage over the Reds and that is home advantage and I believe that will be significant today. That said, I have decided to back Sevilla at even ball on the spreads, it is the safest option, a draw would see stakes returned and I am of the opinion that there is more chance of a home win or draw than a Liveprool win. Take Sevilla at 0 on the spreads |
11-21-17 | Queens Park Rangers v. Derby County -0.5 | 0-2 | Win | 100 | 4 h 17 m | Show
I am taking Derby County to get the win in the English Championship today against Queens Park Rangers. Derby are generally very solid at home, they did lose their last home match, however, previous to that they had won four and drawn one on their home ground and apart from last week their only loss at home this season was against League leaders Wolves in their first home game of the season. QPR have not won away this season, in fact, their winless run on the road in the league now runs to 15 games, they lost their most recent game away 4-0 and it is hard to make a case for them in this game. The form is with Derby and home advantage is significant. Take Derby -0.5 |
11-21-17 | Preston North End v. Bristol City -0.5 | 2-1 | Loss | -115 | 4 h 45 m | Show
I cannot see anything other than a Bristol City win today against Preston North End. The stats speak for themselves, Bristol enters this game with just one loss in their last 19 games in all competitions, they have lost just once at home this season and sit fourth in the Championship. Preston cannot buy a win at the moment, they are on a five-game winless streak, they drew 0-0 at home last game and lost the previous four, they have won twice this season away but that is their only wins on the road in their last 19 games away in the Championship. The form is clearly with Bristol, they are solid at home, whereas Preston is poor away, they sit ten places and 9 points above Preston in the league and it would be a bit of a shock to me if Bristol City does not win this game. All things considered, a home win looks a good thing. Take Bristol City -0.5 |
11-20-17 | Stoke City v. Brighton and Hove Albion -0.5 | 2-2 | Loss | -100 | 9 h 27 m | Show
I am taking Brighton to win a close match against inconsistent Stoke City. In fact, both teams are inconsistent but with Brighton that was to be expected, they are a promoted side and their results were always going to be a mixed bag, the surprising thing though is how inconsistent Stoke have been. One week Stoke lose away 7-2 to Man City and in their very next away match they beat Watford 1-0, however, generally speaking, they have been poor. Brighton are unbeaten in their last four home games, they have drawn two and won two, they have lost just once at home this season and that was 2-0 against league leaders Man City, not a bad result for a promoted team and a lot better than the thrashing Stoke took at the hands of City. This will be a very tight game I am sure but the way that Brighton have been playing at home gives me confidence that they will edge it. Take Brighton -0.5 |
11-19-17 | Hamburger SV v. Schalke 04 -1 | 0-2 | Win | 120 | 2 h 59 m | Show
This is a game that Schalke should win and win with ease. Hamburg has lost their last four away games conceding 10 goals and scoring just 3, they are fourth bottom and facing a season of struggle. Schalke are doing quite well at the moment, they are sixth in the standings and are unbeaten in their last 5 Bundesliga matches, winning three and drawing two. Schalke could do better at home I admit, however, they are facing one of the worst travellers in the league in wretched form and nothing less than a win is expected. I am confident that Schalke will win, it was just a question of would they cover the spread, I believe they will and even if they win by just the single goal you at least get your stake back. Take Schalke -1 |
11-19-17 | Trelleborgs FF v. Jonkopings Sodra -0.5 | 1-1 | Loss | -115 | 2 h 50 m | Show
This is my early morning pick. Trellborgs lead 2-0 from the first leg of this Swedish playoff match and can lose by a single goal and still be promoted. Jonkopings have to overcome that two-goal deficit otherwise they will be relegated. Both teams clearly have huge incentives, however, both will approach this game with different mindsets. Jonkopings must win and therefore will be on the attack and Trellborgs must preserve their lead and so will be more defensive minded. Of course, Trellborgs will look to catch Jonkopings on the counter but this game will develop into one side attacking and one defending. I do not know if Jonkopings can make the comeback, I think they have a good chance, they will have a crazy passionate crowd behind them but two goals is a big deficit at this level. I am taking Jonkopings to win because I beleive with the crowwd behind them they will be invigorated but cannot say they will do enough to stop Trellborgs being promoted. Take Jonkopings -0.5 |

11-18-17 | Swansea City v. Burnley -0.5 | 0-2 | Win | 110 | 3 h 56 m | Show
I really like Burnley for this one, they are decent at home and Swansea have been weak on the road. Burnley generally are in good form, they have lost just one in the Premier League in their last nine outings and that was against league leaders Man City, they beat Southampton away last game and in their last home match, they beat Newcastle. Swansea have lost their last four Premier Lague games on the bounce, they are second bottom and there is little sign that they are about to turn things around. Burnley have the form, Swansea do not and with home advantage then it has to be Burnley for the win. Take Burnley -0.5 |
11-18-17 | Shrewsbury Town v. Rotherham United -0.5 | 2-1 | Loss | -100 | 2 h 3 m | Show
Sixth-placed Rotherham face League One leaders Shrewsbury today and it is with the home side I am backing for the win. Rotherham have been excellent at home this season, they did lose their last home game very surprisingly to third bottom Gillingham and I am prepared to put that down as a one-off, previous to that they had won their previous five home games scoring 16 goals in the process. Shrewsbury are obviously in great form, they are top of the league, however, they have been dropping points recently on the road picking up just two points from a possible nine. They struggled to get a point away at second-bottom Plymouth and they appear to have run out of steam away from home. All things considered, I am going with Rotherham to get a massive three points today and win. Take Rotherham -0.5 |
11-17-17 | Sheffield United -0.5 v. Burton Albion | 3-1 | Win | 100 | 4 h 52 m | Show
I am going to back Sheffield United to beat a poor Burton side. Sheffield United have won four of their last six away games and six of their last eight games overall, they are in good form and sit second in the Championship, in fact, a win tonight takes them top, a very good incentive. Burton is fourth from bottom, they have won just once in their last nine games, their last match in fact, they have lost their last four home games conceding 14 goals. Sheffield have the better form by some way, they have the confidence and the incentive, all things that Burton lack. All things considered, I am going with Sheffield United on the spreads. Take Sheffield United -0.5 |
11-17-17 | YR KV Mechelen v. Sporting Charleroi -0.5 | 0-2 | Win | 100 | 4 h 52 m | Show
Second-placed Charleroi welcome third bottom Mechelen in this Belgium pro league match. Charleroi has gone off the rails slightly in recent weeks but following a rest through the international break and on their home turf I expect them to record an overdue win. Charleroi did go three games without a win before finally getting a home win over Gent and followed that up with an impressive away win at sixth-placed Antwerp. Mechelen has a wretched away record with no wins two draw and four losses this season in the league and it is asking fr a massive turnaround for them to visit the team second in the table and get anything from the game. All things considered, I am going with Charleroi to register their third win on the bounce. Take Charleroi -0.5 |
11-15-17 | So Paulo v. Grmio -0.5 | 0-1 | Win | 100 | 1 h 54 m | Show
2nd placed Gremio take on 11th placed Sao Paulo in this Brazilian Serie A game and it is Gremio that I am going to back. Both sides are in fairly decent form at the moment and overall there is little to separate them, however, the home form of Gremio, while not outstanding is superior to the away form of the visitors. Gremio only losses on their home ground recently have been against teams in the top 5 though they do also lose the odd game to a lowly team. Sao Paulo has won just three away games in the league all season from 17 road trips, hardly a fantastic record. The poor form on the road of Sao Paulo was the deciding factor for me and I am taking Gremo to scrape a home win. |
11-14-17 | Denmark v. Republic of Ireland | 5-1 | Win | 100 | 1 h 15 m | Show
Denmark and the Republic of Ireland face off in this second leg of the world cup playoffs with the winner set to qualify for the finals in Russia next year. Denmark was very unlucky from the first leg which finished 0-0 and even though the Irish have home advantage with a manic passionate crowd behind them I am still of the opinion that it is the Danes that will qualify. This will be a tight low scoring affair and for me, it is most likely that it will be a single moment that will decide this game and that single moment generally comes from a player with the capability of to change a game on his own, Ireland does not have that sort of player, Denmark do in Christian Eriksen. The Tottenham man is the best player from both sides, he is world class and has the ability to take this game by the scruff of the neck and dominate it. The Irish know this and will do what they can to counter his threat but I have seen the best defenders in the world try and do that and fail. I am not saying that Denmark is a one-man team, not at all, what I am saying is that when you have a very close game with very few goals then one man an make a difference at one point in the game. Simply put, cometh the hour cometh the man and Denmark have that man and Ireland does not. I am going with Denmark to win and if by chance they do not and it is a draw then stakes are returned. Put it this way, there is more chance of a draw or Denmark win than there is an outright Oreland win in my opinion. Take Denmark at even spread. |
11-13-17 | Sweden +1 v. Italy | 0-0 | Win | 100 | 6 h 51 m | Show
This game will decide which one of these two sides qualify for the World Cup finals next year in Rusia. Sweden holds a 1-0 lead from the first game. Normally you would choose Italy based n their reputation and history, but this side is not one of the best Italian sides hat we have witnessed, in fact, they are probably one of the worst. That does not mean they are not a top team, they are, but they are beatable and no longer hold the threat they once did. Sweden will clearly set out to defend their 1-0 lead and the question for me was, can they do that? and are Italy strong enough to break the Swedes down? The answer in both cases is a definite yes, however, I am more inclined to believe that the Swedes will defend better than what Italy will do going forward. Italy are of course clear favourites, they are at home but I feel it is a tall order asking them to win by two clear goals against a ery organisedd Swedish side. Put it this way, there is more chances in my opinion that the Swedes will draw this game than there is that Italy will win by two clear goals. Take Sweden +1 |
11-12-17 | AA Ponte Preta v. Coritiba FBC -0.5 | 1-1 | Loss | -125 | 4 h 27 m | Show
Due to time constraint's, there is minimal written analysis today, however, all picks have been fully researched and analysed and you can be assured they come with my full confidence. Coritiba is my stand out pick today, both these teams may be languishing near the bottom of the table but Coritiba has the far better current form and home advantage. Take Coritiba -0.5 |
11-12-17 | Pescara v. Bari -0.5 | 0-1 | Win | 100 | 3 h 58 m | Show
Due to time constraint's, there is minimal written analysis today, however, all picks have been fully researched and analysed and you can be assured they come with my full confidence. This is a game that will be tight but I fully expect Bari to emerge the victors, especially in front of their home fans.. Take Bari -0.5 |
11-12-17 | Flamengo v. Palmeiras -0.5 | 0-2 | Win | 100 | 3 h 33 m | Show
Due to time constraint's, there is minimal written analysis today, however, all picks have been fully researched and analysed and you can be assured they come with my full confidence. I am going with Palmeiras to get the win today and cover the spread, they have more advantages today and it will be s surprise if they do not collect all three points. Take Palmeiras -0.5 |
11-11-17 | Atltico Paranaense v. Botafogo -0.5 | 1-0 | Loss | -100 | 7 h 57 m | Show
5th placed Botafogo face 13th placed Atletico PR and I cannot see anything other than a home win. Botafogo did lose their last game at home but prior to that, they had won five of six home games and the week before their last loss they beat the league leaders at home. Atletico is a poor away side, they have lost four of their last five away games in the league and the only win in that run was against a team below them. On recent form, Botafogo has generally been very strong at home and Atletico very poor away and if both sides play to form then Botafogo will win. Take Botafogo to win on the spread. |
11-06-17 | Internacional -0.5 v. Luverdense | 2-2 | Loss | -105 | 4 h 26 m | Show
This game is from Brazil Serie B and Internacional look a solid bet to win this game. Internacional is top of the table with 62 points, whereas their opponents are on 39 points and in the relegation zone, so the difference over the season is there to see. Luverdense are not actually a bad home side, they may have won just six times from 16 home games but they have drawn seven and lost just the three but they are playing a team that has dropped points over their last two outings and who will be determined to get back to winning ways. Internacional has let their lead at the top slip and they are now just two points clear of second and worse, just seven points ahead of the 5th placed side and out of the promotion spots. The last thing they will want is the potential to lose the top spot and find themselves just four points above 5th. Luverdense are fighting relegation and will no doubt put up a strong performance in front of their home fans, but Internacional will have too much for them to handle. |
11-04-17 | Leeds United v. Brentford -0.5 | 1-3 | Win | 100 | 14 h 45 m | Show
Brentford has two significant advantages going into this game, they are at home and are in much better form than their opponent. Leeds have lost five of their last six league games, that is just three points from a possible 18 and are in freefall, they did win their last away game but have since lost two at home, they are without confidence and morale is very low at Elland Road. Brentford, on the other hand, is unbeaten in their last eight league games and while they have drawn a lot at home they are up against opponents that can barely buy a win. This game is an in-form side up against a team completely out of form and it is the in-form side that I am going with. Take Brentford -0.5 |
11-03-17 | Fulham v. Wolverhampton Wanderers -0.5 | 0-2 | Win | 100 | 2 h 26 m | Show
It is difficult to see anything other than a Wolves win in this English Championship match. Wolves are top of the table, they have won five of their seven home games so far this season and has won their last three on the bounce, they are in form, they have momentum and they are full of confidence. Fulham are 16th, 13 points behind Wolves, they have not won in their last four games home or away and come into this game with a low morale, it would be a big achievement if they were to get anything from this game. Wolves are in the much better form and are at home and therefore are a very strong pick for the win. |
10-20-17 | Brighton and Hove Albion v. West Ham United -0.5 | 3-0 | Loss | -120 | 8 h 10 m | Show
Tricky game for both sides but I am confident that West Ham will claim all three points in front of their home fans today. West Ham has won two of their three home games, the only defeat was against Tottenham which in all fairness is not a surprise considering how good Tottenham are. The Hammers have struggled on the road but at least at home against the sort of opposition they face today, they win. Brighton has yet to win away and have picked up just one point from a possible 12, in fact, they have scored just once on their travels this season in the Premier League. Home advantage is crucial here, if this game was played at Brighton then I would have gone with them but the stats do not lie and it is not just the stats but also how the respective teams have performed. Take West Ham -0.5 |
10-20-17 | Willem II v. Groningen -0.5 | 1-0 | Loss | -110 | 7 h 3 m | Show
Groningen has a great opportunity to pick up three points today and lift themselves up the league standings, albeit temporarily. Groningen remain unbeaten at home this season winning twice and drawing three times, however, they are playing a team second bottom and the chances are good that they will increase their win record. Willem did win away against Roda (who are third bottom) but in their other three away games they lost 2-0, 5-0 and 4-0 and in their eight games this season, home and away, they have lost six times, this is not a top Dutch side. Now, Willem did win at the weekend but that was at home and against a side just two places above them, Twente, whereas Groningen drew but their opponents, AZ, are one of the better sides in the league. All things considered, it is hard to see beyond a home win. Take Groningen -0.5 |
10-19-17 | Olympique Lyonnais v. Everton | 2-1 | Win | 100 | 10 h 16 m | Show
Everton is in terrible shape at the moment, they are in very poor form, they are struggling in front of the goal and currently find themselves 16th in England. They lost at the weekend and questions are already being asked about their manager. Lyon sits 6th in France and are probably where they should be, however, they beat last seasons Champions League semi-finalists Monaco 3-2 at the weekend and come into this game full of confidence, certainly more than Everton. I cannot see Everton winning and Lyon are the better value on the spreads. Take Lyon on the spreads. |
10-19-17 | Ludogorets v. Sporting Braga -0.5 | 2-0 | Loss | -100 | 10 h 7 m | Show
I am going with Braga to get their fourth Europa League win on the bounce this season. Ludogorets are doing very well in their domestic league in Bulgaria but are not doing as well away from home in Europe, they may not have lost yet but they have not won once either and in fact, have not scored a single goal drawing all three games 0-0. The attitude of the Bulgarian side seems to be to defend like hell away from home, that may work against poorish opposition but not against a side from Portugal who are 5th in the league just two points behind 3rd placed Benfica. I see Braga going for the win against a side set of defence and I expect them to get it. Take Braga -0.5 |
10-19-17 | SK Slavia Praha v. Villarreal -1 | 2-2 | Loss | -135 | 10 h 57 m | Show
I cannot see anything other than a clear Villarreal win. There is a clear gulf between Spanish and Czech football at club level and I will be very shocked if that is not shown in this game. Slavia are second in their domestic league but are eight points behind the leaders and it is a very poor league, they have won just once away from home in any European competition in the last ten years and against a very accomplished La Liga side, I can't see that changing today. Villarreal is unbeaten at home this season and play teams of much better ability than their opponents week in and week out. The spread is high but Villarreal is more than good enough to beat it. Take Villarreal -1 |
10-19-17 | Arsenal -0.5 v. Red Star Belgrade | 1-0 | Win | 100 | 9 h 34 m | Show
At any other time Arsenal would be much bigger favourites in this game but because of recent results the odds are higher than usual on the Gunners and that is a mistake in my opinion. Europe provides a good outlet for Arsenal, it is away from home and the pressures that brings and they do like playing the European way. Arsenal clearly has the better players and providing they are in the mood today, which I belive they will be, then they really should win this game, even in a hostile environment in Serbia. Take Arsenal -0.5 |
10-19-17 | Lazio v. OGC Nice | 3-1 | Win | 100 | 8 h 29 m | Show
Lazio are in excellent form at the moment, they are third in Serie A and they have won every single away game this season and that includes beating Juventus in Turin at the weekend. Nice are 14th in the French league and lost at home 4-2 to Marseille at the weekend, they are not in great form and are playing a team that is more than capable of beating them despite having home advantage. The form says Lazio and I agree. Take Lazio on the spreads |
10-19-17 | 1. FC Koln v. BATE Borisov | 0-1 | Win | 100 | 8 h 16 m | Show
I get the feeling that Koln are being flattered by the odds makers simply because they are German side facing a side from Belarus. Koln are rock bottom of the Bundesliga and have just one point from eight games, they have lost both their Europa League games including at home last time out against a side from Serbia. BATE are third in their domestic league after 25 games and are just two points behind the leaders, they are in with a fantastic chance of winning their national title, they have a mixed record in Europe and even though they lost at home to Arsenal last time out they still managed to breach the Premier League sides defence twice. I was tempted to back BATE outright but have decided to take the safer option on the spreads. Take BATE on the spreads |
10-14-17 | Oxford United v. Bristol Rovers -0.5 | 1-0 | Loss | -100 | 3 h 54 m | Show
I am going with Bristol Rovers to get the win today against Oxford United. These two teams are fairly evenly matched, both are on 18 points after 12 league games, however, there is a difference in their respective home and away records this season. Rovers have won four of their last five home games and Oxford has lost three and drawn one of their last five road games. Home advantage is important here and it is Rovers that have it and I expect them to scrape. Take Bristol Rovers -0.5 |
10-14-17 | Hull City v. Norwich City -0.5 | 1-1 | Loss | -105 | 3 h 47 m | Show
This is a game that Norwich should win and I am confident they will do so. Home advantage is critical in this game, especially with the away record of Hull City this season. Hull have yet to win on the road and boast an away record of three defeats and two draws, basically just two points from a possible 15. Norwich on their home turf has lost just once this season, the first home game in fact, however, they have won just twice from their five home games this season but they were strong last season and I expect that as the season progresses they will become even harder to beat at Carrow Road. Hull are woeful away and Norwich are on a four-game unbeaten home run and that has swayed me in favour of Norwich. Take Norwich -0.5 |
10-14-17 | West Ham United v. Burnley | 1-1 | Push | 0 | 3 h 41 m | Show
I am going with Burnley to win against West Ham Today. Burnley is currently on a five-game unbeaten run, they drew at Tottenham, a very impressive result, they also drew away at Liverpool and beat Everton at Goodison Park in that sequence, a set of fantastic results for a minor Premier League side. Burnley have struggled a little at home this season winning just once and losing twice from the five home games, however, they have collected four points from a possible six in their last two home games and are starting to get back to form in front of their home fans. West Ham has yet to win away this season, they have lost three of their road games and at best are simply inconsistent, they are not a good side and a relegation struggle looks likely. Burnley have the form and home advantage and have to be the pick, however, I am slightly concerned at the lack of home wins this season and therefore have gone safety first and decided to take Burney +0 |
10-14-17 | Rosenborg -0.5 v. Troms | 3-0 | Win | 100 | 2 h 29 m | Show
I was slightly taken back by the odds on Rosenborg, they should be much shorter. Rosenborg is nine points clear at the top of the league, they are the best side in Norway and are almost certain to win the title. They did go through a sticky patch at one point but they are back to winning ways and enter this game on the back of four straight away wins. Tromso is second bottom, they are fighting to avoid relegation and while they have started to put a string of good results together recently they are still a poor side in Norwegian football. If Rosenborg had already wrapped up the title then I may have been tempted to side with the home side but that is not the case and as long as Rosenborg play to form they will win. Rosenborg -0.5 |
10-06-17 | Wales -0.5 v. Georgia | 1-0 | Win | 100 | 1 h 40 m | Show
Even without their captain and superstar Gareth Bale, Wales should win this one. Wales have had a hit and miss campaign but they know they simply must win this game and their opponents are ripe for the taking. Georgia are a poor International side and the only advantage they have today is home advantage. As long as Wales can overcome the passionate home support and play to their true ability then they will win. Take Wales to win |
10-05-17 | Slovakia v. Scotland | 0-1 | Loss | -100 | 11 h 13 m | Show
Scotland has done a great job to get themselves back in the mix for World Cup qualification, but they still have work to do to actually finish in the second position. The Scots need to win this game as well as their next against Estonia on Sunday to stand any chance. This is a tall order for them even though they are playing at home, as Slovakia is one of the deadliest sides in Europe right now. The Scots have been impressive this year as they remain unbeaten despite having played against England already. They have netted at least two times in their last three games, and their fans will hope that home advantage would see them win this game. Slovakia is currently occupying the second position ahead of this game and their last match on Sunday. They have been adventurous over their last few games and they showed that against England the last time out, they have also scored in three of their last four games. However, they have clear defensive problems as they have kept just one clean sheet in their last six games. I believe the Slovaks will not just give up their slot on the table. Slovakia to win or draw is my pick for this game. |
09-30-17 | Derby County v. Cardiff City -0.5 | 0-0 | Loss | -105 | 1 h 46 m | Show
I am going with Cardiff to win at home against Derby today. Cardiff are top of the Championship, they beat Leeds United midweek and are in good form at this moment in time. Derby are not a bad side by Championship levels but they are already 11 points behind Cardiff and are really up against it today. Take Cardiff to register a home win and collect all three points. |
09-25-17 | rebro SK v. IK Sirius FK -0.5 | 4-3 | Loss | -100 | 5 h 37 m | Show
Neither team is in great form at the moment, in fact, both are in a woeful state but I am going with Sirius to get the win in this Swedish match up. Sirius season has gone way off track in recent weeks, they have lost their last five games in a row and last time at home lost 5-0 to Ostersund but they are better than those results indicate and can bounce back. Orebro has lost four of their last five games and does have the slightly better form, but they are below Sirius in the standings and the truth is they have been playing to their standard and there is no sign of any drastic improvement and therein lies the difference between these two sides. Sirius can improve, whereas I do not believe that Orebro can. In front of their home fans, I do expect Sirius to perform better than they have been doing and get the win against poor opposition. |
09-16-17 | West Ham United v. West Bromwich Albion -0.5 | 0-0 | Loss | -100 | 3 h 28 m | Show
West Brom is a better side than West Ham and as long as they play to form they will win this game. West Ham did win last week but do not let that result dissuade you from the fact that they are woeful and face a season of struggle. With home advantage, West Brom should prove too strong for the West Ham. Take West Brom to win. |
09-16-17 | Sunderland v. Hull City -0.5 | 1-1 | Loss | -100 | 3 h 26 m | Show
Neither of these sides is covering themselves in glory so far this season and unless they improve they will both struggle to get a promotion to the Premier League. That said, Hull is a far better side at home than they are away, certainly better than what Sunderland are away. With home advantage and against a team that is far from impressive Hull should collect all three points today. Take Hull to win. |
09-16-17 | Leicester -0.5 v. Huddersfield Town | 1-1 | Loss | -100 | 3 h 24 m | Show
Huddersfield has been a bit of a surprise package this season but they came unstuck away to West Ham last week and that did show their limitations. Leicester have only lost to the best sides this season and have already shown that they will be one of the best sides behind the top six teams in the Premier League come to the end of the season. Leicester City will feel confident they can win this game and so am I. Take Leicester City to win |
09-14-17 | Athletic Bilbao v. Hertha BSC | 0-0 | Push | 0 | 4 h 34 m | Show
Hertha and Athletic Bilbao are the best teams in group J and playing each other in the first game could set the tone for how the final group standing will be after the end of group games. The Germans were impressive last season as they finished 6th in the Bundesliga table. Most of their success last season was tied to their early season form as well as a solid set of home performances. They have won two and lost one of their last 4 matches, but they have just one point from their last two league games but I see them getting back to winning ways when their Basque visitors come to town. Their visitors finished 7th in the La Liga table last season. The Spaniards come into this game in top form as they are unbeaten in their last six matches. However, it is worth noting that they failed to win any of their away matches in the group stages in this competition last season. Losing two and drawing one of those matches. They still have their star attacker Aduriz on their books and the veteran attacker has started the season with three goals in the Europa League and two in the La Liga. Despite the form of Bilbao, I believe Berlin will not lose at home. Take Hertha Berlin on the spreads |
09-14-17 | Lazio v. Vitesse +0.5 | 3-2 | Loss | -100 | 3 h 30 m | Show
Lazio and Nice are favorites to make it out on top of Group K, but I expect Zulte Waregem and Vitesse to give them some problems during the group stages. Vitesse finished impressively 5th in the Dutch league table last season and they will be looking to make this rare opportunity to play in Europe count for them. They have continued their fine form into this new season as they are currently 2nd in the league table with three wins and a draw from four games already. However, they have a poor record in the Europa League after losing five out of their last six games in the competition and they conceded two or more goals in five of those games. This would be a tough game for them but their early season form should see them get at least a draw in this game. SS Lazio started the season by beating Juventus in the Italian super cup and that has helped them build some early season momentum. They currently have two wins and a draw from their opening three games which have seen them climb up to the 4th position in the league table. The Rome based side was expected to suffer from the loss of the likes of Lucas Biglia and Keita Balde but they have done very well locally and will be looking to impress in Europe also. I believe Vitesse will continue their early season form and get at least one point from this game. Vitesse +0.5 |
09-13-17 | AA Ponte Preta v. Sport Club do Recife -0.5 | 1-3 | Win | 100 | 7 h 28 m | Show
Sport Recife made it to this round following a 3-2 aggregate victory over Argentine side Arsenal but they have since slumped to a terrible run of form. They were clear candidates for a Copa Libertadores place before their recent poor run of form that has seen them go six games without a win, four of which were actually losses, and last weekend’s 1-0 home loss to Avai is a new low for them. Ponte is one point behind Sport in their domestic table, and they would be looking to get at least something from this game. The Macaca have put in some good performances in this competition getting some unlikely aggregate victories over Gimnasia de la Plata and Sol de America to reach this point with an unbeaten record. They have proved to be a good side when they play on the road as they have lost just 1 in 5 away games so far, two of which ended in victories for them. They battled from 2-0 down to earn a point in their game against Sao Paolo and also drew 0-0 against Recife earlier. But this game could be harder for them and I believe Recife will use this game as an opportunity to get back to form. Sport Recife to win is my pick for this game. |
