Ricky's 10* play on SA vs Denver Under 209: Key Angle: It's important to remember that Ricky never makes a bet on any game based on just one angle. In order to make the grade, all his premium picks must meet several important criteria. He doesn't share all his secrets within his analysis, instead he chooses to reveal only the angle that he feels is the most significant. In tonight's game there's no doubt that the previous history between these two teams is of particular interest. Two of the last three head to head meetings have fallen short of the total, and the one game that went over saw just 210 points. The total for tonight's game is significantly higher than it was in the two previous games between these teams this season. Key Trends: - The Under is 7-1 in Nuggets last 8 games playing on 2 days rest. - The Under is 20-8 in Nuggets last 28 home games versus a team with a losing road record. - The Under is 8-3 in Spurs last 11 road games versus a team with a winning home record. Ricky's 8* play on Iona vs Siena Over 142: Key Angle: It's important to remember that Ricky never makes a bet on any game based on just one angle. In order to make the grade, all his premium picks must meet several important criteria. He doesn't share all his secrets within his analysis, instead he chooses to reveal only the angle that he feels is the most significant. In tonight's game there's no doubt that the previous history between these two teams is particularly significant. While the over is just 5-5 in the last 10 meetings in this series, the total was 150 or higher in all 10 over those games. Nine of the 10 games went over the total listed for tonight's game. Iona is known for it's offense, averaging over 84 points in it's last five games. The Gaels don't play defense though, as they have allowed almost 80 points per game during that span. Key Trends: - The Over is 20-8-1 in Gaels last 29 road games. - The Over is 5-1-1 in Gaels last 7 overall. - The Over is 5-1-1 in Gaels last 7 versus the MAAC. Verdict: Take Over 142. |

Ricky's 10* play on Cavs/Celtics UNDER 213: Key Angle: It's important to remember that Ricky never makes a bet on any game based on just one angle. He doesn't share all his secrets within his analysis, instead he chooses to reveal only the angle that he feels is the most significant. In tonight's game there's no doubt that the personnel of the Cavs is particularly significant. New players that don't know the system will play limited minutes as they try to figure out the team chemistry. This isn't going to be an easy task against a Celtics team that ranks 2nd overall in scoring defense. Boston has also had offensive struggles of late, coming off a home loss to the Indiana Pacers. Key Trends: - The Under is 8-2 in the last 10 meetings in Boston. - The Under is 5-1 in Celtics last six home games. - The Under is 3-1 in the last four head to head meetings. They have held the opposition to just 60.9 points per game at home, and they have only given up 56.8 points per game over their last five overall. The Bulldogs are also a strong defensive team, and in a game of this magnitude, don't expect any easy buckets. Carmelo Anthony is probable with an ankle injury, but Russell Westbrook is also banged up, and his status is questionable. Key Trends: - The under is 5-2 in the last seven meetings between these two teams. - The Under is 4-1 in the Thunder's last five overall. - The Under is 6-1 in the Thunder's last seven versus the Western Conference. In tonight's game there's no doubt that the recent poor play of the Cavs is particularly significant. Cleveland scored just 88 points in a loss to the Rockets on Sunday, and then last night lost 116-98 to Orlando. This looks like a team that has given up on it's coach. Tyronn Lue left the last game due to an illness, and did not return. It remains to be seen if he will be with the team tonight. In tonight's game there's no doubt that the recent poor play of the Cavs is particularly significant. Cleveland scored just 88 points in a loss to the Rockets in their last game, and if they have any hopes of turning this season around, they have to get better defensively. The total for this game is sky high, and I believe grossly inflated. Orlando has only gone over 226 points once in their last nine games. Key Trends: - The Under is 4-1-1 in Cavaliers last 6 games following a straight up loss. - The Under is 5-2-1 in Cavaliers last 8 games following a ATS loss. - The Under is 6-1 in Magic last 7 home games vs. a team with a losing road record. 12-14-17 | Knicks v. Nets UNDER 213 | Top | 111-104 | Loss | -107 | 8 h 25 m | Show |
Neither team has a point guard which pushes the pace and with a couple key injuries on both sides, I expect this to be a half-court offensive fair. Nets PG Spencer Dinwiddie is a classic set up the offense or high pick and roll/pop type player. Note that Brooklyn is missing faced paced Lin and Russel. On the other side of the ball, Jarrett Jack may be the slowest paced PG in the league. He reminds me a lot of Sam Cassell where by he hurts you at certain spots on the floor, but never in transition. The other positive surrounding this under play is Hardaway Jr. still out. He's shown the ability to light it up beyond 3 and push the pace when needed. When these two teams met earlier this year the total was set at 222.5 and the game finished 29.5 points below that mark at 193. Yes the Lakers went over the number on Tuesday in New York, but that game went into OT and Lonzo was the one pushing the pace the entire way. Brooklyn meanwhile as seen the number go under the total in five straight games. Under 213 |

11-05-17 | Wizards v. Raptors UNDER 217 | Top | 107-96 | Win | 100 | 8 h 8 m | Show |
GAME of the YEAR! This game has ugly and tired and sloppy written all over it. John Wall has an injured shoulder and may not even play. Better yet if he does he won't be near 100%. The Wizards come into Toronto to face the Raptors after an exhausting game against the Cavaliers in which they went toe to toe for 48 minutes before losing 122-130 at home. Talk about let down coming into this one. You just played the best player in the world in Lebron James and gave it everything you had only to lose a nail bitter at the end. Now you have to get ready again to play an early (6 PM EST) Sunday game in another country. Best of all the Raptors come home after what was there longest road trip of the year (6 game Western trip) and they used up a ton of energy in their last game in Utah having come off an embarrassing game in Denver. They wanted to finish the road trip strong and came away with a very hard fought victory, but that bodes extremely well for poor play today. The NBA is very up and down and rarely do you see teams maintain peak play. Now they reset at home, a place they haven't seen in two weeks. Expect a very poor performance from both sides. Under 217 |

10-25-17 | Raptors v. Warriors OVER 228.5 | Top | 112-117 | Win | 100 | 4 h 6 m | Show |
I see this total hitting a big number tonight for a couple reasons. One, the Raptors had an off shooting night recently against the well coached Spurs and will look to get their stroke back tonight against a ball club who doesn't close out all that well and can shoot the lights out themselves. Secondly, the Raptors are attempting a new uptempo strategy this year including a lot more 3's. Personally I don't think they are built that way (lack of shooters), but against a team like the Warriors any missed shots will be quick transition 3's down the other side. Look for Lowry to rebound after a poor outing last game and for CJ Miles to try and compete with the Warriors shooters from deep. And don't sleep on Thompson, Curry or Durant as they are always looking to push the pace and shoot it early in the shot clock. Over 228.5 |
|||||||
10-23-17 | Wizards v. Nuggets OVER 223 | Top | 109-104 | Loss | -115 | 3 h 33 m | Show |
Run and gun and shoot it up. A lot of speed in this game on both sides and great 3 point shooting. Each team is finding their groove after a couple opening contests and I expect things to come together offensively tonight on both sides. Playing on the total in this one...OVER 223 |

10-23-17 | Raptors v. Spurs OVER 201.5 | 97-101 | Loss | -107 | 2 h 15 m | Show
The Raptors are playing a new 'share the rock' strategy and letting the 3 fly regardless if they can shoot it or not. They want to adapt to the new NBA and are trying to push the pace offensively. That was the main reason behind bringing in CJ Miles. The Raptors have scored 117 and 128 in their first two contests. The Spurs haven't adjusted to this up tempo strategy yet, but I think since they'll have so many extra possessions and considering how efficient they are they'll score enough on their end. Kawhi and JV are out, two guys who generally bring defensive presence so that should open up the floor a little. Over 201.5 |
|||||||
10-21-17 | Pistons v. Knicks UNDER 206 | 111-107 | Loss | -110 | 10 h 18 m | Show
Neither of these two teams plays run and gun or is overly efficient shooting the 3. Both grind it out in the half court and with Drummond in the game things are always difficult for the other team in the paint. This being the Knicks home opener and the Pistons coming in having played last night, I see some nerves combined with some tired legs. Look for this tilt to stay under the number. Under 206 |

Ricky Tran is recommending a 10* play (2% of bankroll) on DET/OKC to go UNDER the total. Here are 3 reasons why: Situational: Tough spot for both teams who have been matched hard lately. It won't be in either sides interest to drive up the tempo. Detroit's D: The Pistons are holding opponents to an average of 96.5 points for the season and they've held each of their last four to fewer than 100. Their lone loss? A 85-83 defeat to the Thunder on Nov. 2. Huge revenge spot. The Clippers lead the NBA in scoring defense at 88.3 points per game and they crushed the Portland 111-80 on Wednesday. McCollum: The Portland guard matched his career best of 37 points with six 3-pointers during Sunday's 100-94 victory over the Memphis Grizzlies. The Suns Defense: Phoenix is allowing a league-worst 113.3 points per game. |

Derrick Favor: The Utah power forward averaged 16.4 points last season but has been troubled by a knee injury. He logged a season-high 27 minutes on Friday and shot only 3-of-13 from the field. Here are 3 reasons why: Previous Meetings: These two teams match up pretty well against each other defensively. Each of the last five head-to-head meetings have gone under the total. Miami's Turnover: The Heat have lost several players in the offseason. It could take some time for them to get the defense right while the players should be hungry to play ball offensively this early in the season. Minnesota's D: The Wolves allowed opponents an average of 106 points on 47.1 percent shooting last season. Over is 4-0 in the last four meetings in Memphis. Trends: Over is 17-1 in the Timberwolves' last 18 games against Southwest division opponents. Ricky Tran is recommending a 10* play (2% of bankroll) on DEN/NO to go OVER the total. Here are 3 reasons why: Anthony Davis: The superstar had last season hampered by injuries, but when fit he's near unplayable. We can expect him to come out hungry to show what he can do fresh off the summer break. Denver's Youngsters: The Nuggets gave several young players time on the floor at the end of last season. A couple who made the most of it was Nikola Jokic (10.0 points, 7.0 rebounds) and Jusuf Nurkic (8.2 points, 5.5 rebounds), and there's more where they came from. Trends: Each of the Pelicans' last four games of the 2015/2016 season went over the total and the over is 31-10 in their last 41 home games. |

Here are 3 reasons why: Injuries: Utah will start the season without small forward Gordon Hayward (broken finger) and backup guard Alec Burks (knee). Power forward Derrick Favors (knee) is questionable for this contest. That's a lot of offensive talent missing. Defense: Utah held opponents to a NBA-best 94.9 points per game last season and the Trail Blazers were just outside of top-10 with a 98.6 mark. Trends: Under is 7-2-1 in Jazz last 10 road games and 12-5 in Jazz last 17 overall. |

06-02-16 | Cavs v. Warriors OVER 209.5 | Top | 89-104 | Loss | -102 | 12 h 26 m | Show |
10* play on OVER - The Cavs had breezed past their opponents up until they faced the Raptors at Toronto where they dropped a pair of games. They'll visit the Warriors in Game 1 of the NBA Finals Thursday night, and the Warriors are 10-2 ATS in their last 12 home games and 10-1 ATS in their last 11 Thursday games. The Cavs will make this a close series, but not here in the opener. Both teams have been very prolific from behind the arc in the playoffs and that's likely to continue here in the finals. That should suit Golden State perfectly and the 3-pointers will drive up the score. GO OVER! |
|||||||
05-30-16 | Thunder v. Warriors UNDER 218 | Top | 88-96 | Win | 100 | 10 h 55 m | Show |
10* play on UNDER -Â The Thunder held a 3-1 lead in the series but the Warriors have battled back to 3-3. We'll now have a deciding Game 7 at Oracle Arena, and both teams should lock down on defense here as they're well aware of each others offensive firepower. Under is 5-2 in the last 7 meetings overall and 5-1 in the last 6 meetings in Golden State. GO UNDER! |
|||||||
05-28-16 | Warriors v. Thunder OVER 220 | Top | 108-101 | Loss | -103 | 16 h 24 m | Show |
10* play on OVER - The Warriors are back in business after a 120-111 win Thursday night in Oakland. They now have to win in Oklahoma City for the first time this season to force a Game 7, and with Steph Curry finding his shot again I think they'll prove to difficult for the Thunder tonight. Over is 7-2 in the last 9 meetings in Oklahoma City, and backing the underdog in a game where buckets should come easy for both teams looks good to me. GO OVER! |
|||||||
05-27-16 | Cavs v. Raptors OVER 196.5 | Top | 113-87 | Win | 100 | 7 h 31 m | Show |
10* play on OVER - The Cavs are entering the game with a 3-2 lead in the series and their three wins are by an average of 29.3 points. They've dropped all meetings north of the border this season but if there's a perfect time to put an end to that streak this is it. The Cavs have the superior team and while the home town crowd have been able to help the Raptors to upset wins in previous meetings, expect the Cavs to come out with a whole different drive and urgency tonight. Over is 4-1 in Raptors last 5 home games vs. a team with a winning road record though, so the Cavs know they'll gonna have to put up a lot of points to win this game. Over is 7-3 in Cavaliers last 10 road games vs. a team with a home winning % of greater than .600. Cavs to win and cover in a high-scoring game are the winning bets on tonight's game. GO OVER! |
|||||||
05-26-16 | Thunder v. Warriors UNDER 221 | Top | 111-120 | Loss | -115 | 9 h 13 m | Show |
10* play on UNDER - The Thunder can advance to the NBA finals with a win tonight. They've already defeated the Warriors once at Oracle Arena in this series and could very well do it again. The Thunder have been more aggressive, more athletic and faster than the Warriors in virtually every game of this series. Golden State might have put too much emphasis on the regular season record and it is paying the price now. Golden State is far from the 3-point machine the team was earlier in the season and Steph Curry has lost his scoring touch. GO UNDER! |
|||||||
05-25-16 | Raptors v. Cavs OVER 198.5 | Top | 78-116 | Loss | -100 | 10 h 22 m | Show |
10* play on OVER - The Raptors and the Cavs are tied in the Eastern Conference Finals series with each team winning twice on their home floor. The Raptors won 105-99 on Monday and have gotten better and better offensively for each game in the series. Cleveland will be fired up to take the lead home at Quicken Loans Arena where they've shot the ball very well in the playoffs, particularly from behind the arc. Kyle Lowry and DeMar DeRozan are heating up for Toronto and should give the Cavs plenty of headache tonight. GO OVER! |
|||||||
05-23-16 | Cavs v. Raptors OVER 197 | Top | 99-105 | Win | 100 | 7 h 26 m | Show |
10* play on OVER - The Cavs won't be happy with their performance in Saturday's 99-84 loss, their first in the playoffs. The Raptors celebrated like they won the title and the defensive focus is likely to be a bit off tonight. Over is 9-3-1 in Cavaliers last 13 games following a straight up loss of more than 10 points and they will shoot a lot better than the 35.4 percent from the field on Saturday. The Raptors will give it their all in front of the home town crowd and are always shooting the ball well home at Air Canada Centre. Look for this game to go over the total. GO OVER! |
|||||||
05-22-16 | Warriors v. Thunder UNDER 220.5 | Top | 105-133 | Loss | -103 | 6 h 5 m | Show |
10* play on UNDER - We see another high total in Game 3 of the Western Conference Final, even though history tells us that the defense usually tightens up in these high stakes games. Steph Curry hasn't really put up huge numbers against this Oklahoma City defense, and the Thunder held the Spurs to 100 points or less in all three home games in their last series. The Warriors have gone under in six of their last seven Conference Finals games. GO UNDER! |
|||||||
05-18-16 | Thunder v. Warriors UNDER 222.5 | Top | 91-118 | Win | 100 | 10 h 13 m | Show |
10* play on UNDER -Â The Thunder defeated the Spurs with great defense and they showed the same intensity in Monday's 108-102 win in the opener of this Conference Finals series. Under is 4-0 in the last 4 meetings in Golden State and another defensive battle should take place tonight. The Warriors can not afford to go 2-0 down before going to Oklahoma City and they'll make sure to stop Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook. Under is 8-3 in Warriors last 11 games following a ATS loss. Under is 5-1 in Warriors last 6 Conference Finals games. GO UNDER! |
|||||||
05-15-16 | Heat v. Raptors UNDER 189.5 | Top | 89-116 | Loss | -105 | 27 h 26 m | Show |
10* play on UNDER in Game 7 - The Raptors will play another Game 7 at home, and both Toronto and Miami have had to win in a Game 7 in the first round. The Heat eliminated Charlotte in seven games, while Toronto won 89-84 in Game 7 of their first round series versus Indiana. We should see another low scoring game in Toronto on Sunday, as both teams will have to battle the pressure of an elimination game. The last two games have just barely gone over the total, but seven of eight before that failed to reach the total. GO UNDER! |
|||||||
05-10-16 | Thunder v. Spurs UNDER 199.5 | Top | 95-91 | Win | 100 | 7 h 39 m | Show |
10* play on UNDER -Â OKC tied up the series at 2-2 with a 111-97 win on Sunday. Thunder are 2-6 ATS in their last 8 Tuesday games and 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games following a straight up win. Spurs are 18-6 ATS in their last 24 games off a straight up loss and 8-2 ATS in their last 10 Tuesday games. Gregg Popovich will have his players fired up for this one, ready to beat the Thunder. Spurs have not played the defense they're capable of so far in this series. That changes tonight in this crucial game as a loss would see them travel to OKC facing elimination. Under is 8-3 in Spurs last 11 overall. Under is 6-2 in Thunder last 8 vs. a team with a winning straight up record. GO UNDER! |
|||||||
05-06-16 | Spurs v. Thunder OVER 200 | Top | 100-96 | Loss | -108 | 22 h 41 m | Show |
10* play on OVER - San Antonio did not expect to travel to Oklahoma City for the third game of this playoffs series tied at 1-1, but that's the situation after a 98-97 loss to the Thunder on Monday. The Thunder are always shooting the ball well home at Chesapeake Energy Arena and will be looking to exploit the Spurs' elderly defense by driving up the tempo. Over is 5-2 in Thunder last 7 games following a straight up win and 4-1 in Thunder last 5 overall. GO OVER! |
|||||||
05-06-16 | Cavs v. Hawks UNDER 199 | Top | 121-108 | Loss | -105 | 19 h 1 m | Show |
10* play on UNDER -Â The Hawks are virtually in a do-or-die situation after dropping two games at Cleveland. They've been held to an average of 95.5 points per game and the Cavs will play a tough defense on the road as well. The Cavs have been red hot from behind the arc in the playoffs, but the transition to Philips Arena could stop that surge and the Hawks have defended much better at home than on the road this season. Under is 8-2 in Hawks last 10 overall. Under is 5-1 in Hawks last 6 home games. GO UNDER! |
|||||||
05-03-16 | Heat v. Raptors UNDER 191 | Top | 102-96 | Loss | -110 | 7 h 9 m | Show |
10* play on UNDER - The Raptors struggled to get their offense going against Indiana, and it won't be any easier in this series against the Heat. Miami ranks 5th in the NBA holding opponents to 98.4 points per game on average and each of the Heat's last five games have stayed under the total. Toronto has a mean defense of its own allowing opponents 98.2 points per game on average and under is 7-1 in Raptors last 8 overall. Series openers are usually low-scoring affairs, and easy buckets will be few and far between in this contest. GO UNDER! |
|||||||
05-02-16 | Hawks v. Cavs OVER 200.5 | Top | 93-104 | Loss | -105 | 36 h 56 m | Show |
10* play on OVER - LeBron James averaged 22.8 points per game over the four games he played against Detroit in the last round, and now he's playing one of his favorite opponents. The King averaged 27.3 points in three regular-season meetings this season and torched Atlanta with 30.3 points, 11 rebounds and 9.3 assists averages in the conference finals last year. Over is 4-1 in Cavaliers last 5 vs. a team with a winning straight up record and also 4-1 in Hawks last 5 vs. a team with a winning straight up record. The Hawks will struggle to contain Cleveland's offense and they'll have to put up plenty of points to keep this a close game. Paul Millsap scored a playoff career-best 45 points his last time out on the road, and the Hawks could shock the Cavs with their offense tonight. Over is 6-1 in the last 7 meetings in Cleveland. GO OVER! |
|||||||
05-01-16 | Blazers v. Warriors OVER 209.5 | Top | 106-118 | Win | 100 | 8 h 27 m | Show |
10* play on OVER -Â Stephen Curry's knee injury did little to slow down the Warriors in their first-round series as they outscored Houston by 60 points in the six quarters after Curry sprained the MCL in his right knee. Klay Thompson has averaged 23.1 points per game in the postseason and put up 29.3 per game over four meetings with Portland during the regular-season. The Blazers must be feeling pretty good about themselves after coming back from a two-game deficit to beat the Clippers 4-2 in the first round, and to stop Damian Lillard and C.J. McCollum is a tough task for any team. Over is 6-0 in the last 6 meetings. Over is 6-1 in the last 7 meetings in Golden State. GO OVER! |
|||||||
04-30-16 | Thunder v. Spurs UNDER 201 | Top | 92-124 | Loss | -110 | 11 h 54 m | Show |
10* play on UNDER in San Antonio - The Grizzlies were no match for the Spurs in the first round as San Antonio's defense was in lockdown mode. The Grizzlies mustered only 81 points per game on 39.4 percent shooting, but the Spurs were not really firing on all cylinders offensively either. The under is 6-1 in Spurs last 7 overall and 4-1 in the last 5 meetings with the Thunder. Oklahoma City breezed past Dallas in five games in the quarterfinals and the team was composed on defense. Under is 4-0 in Thunder's last 4 vs. a team with a winning straight up record and Kevin Durant has not been at his very best so far in the playoffs which will hurt the Thunder's offense. GO UNDER! |
|||||||
04-29-16 | Clippers v. Blazers OVER 198 | Top | 103-106 | Win | 100 | 13 h 14 m | Show |
10* play on OVER -Â Damian Lillard made four of Portland's six 3-pointers and scored 16 points in the final period as the Blazers pulled away for a 108-98 victory Wednesday to take a 3-2 lead in the series. The Clippers are struggling without Blake Griffin and Chris Paul, particularly defensively, and this should be a high-scoring encounter. LA has no one to stop Lillard and C.J McCollum who will be dropping threes all night long and Portland is very strong offensively home at Moda Center. Over is 13-6-2 in the last 21 meetings in Portland and over is 4-0 in Trail Blazers last 4 Friday night games. GO OVER! |
|||||||
04-29-16 | Heat v. Hornets OVER 190 | 97-90 | Loss | -110 | 11 h 42 m | Show
5* GOM bonus play on OVER - The Hornets have been the much better team in the series over the past three games and took their first lead in the series with a 90-88 win at Miami on Wednesday. They have won three straight since dropping the first two, and they are looking good to book their ticket to the second round in their own building tonight. The Heat have not been able to match the Hornets energy in recent games and they are 1-6 ATS in their last 7 road games vs. a team with a winning home record. The Hornets were 32-11 home at Time Warner Cable Arena during the regular-season. The Heats defense is likely to suffer the most tonight. Take Charlotte to blow out the Heat in a high-scoring game. GO OVER! |
|||||||
04-27-16 | Rockets v. Warriors UNDER 211.5 | Top | 81-114 | Win | 100 | 17 h 27 m | Show |
10* play on UNDER - The Warriors can close out the series, but they'll have to do it without Steph Curry who is expected to be out for two weeks with a sprained MCL in his right knee. Golden State has averaged 10.2 fewer points in five games without the MVP on the floor this season and will have to focus on D to ride this out. Houston can play a more aggressive defense without having to worry about Curry dropping bombs at every opportunity and this game has the mark of a defensive battle written all over it with Houston on the brink of elimination. GO UNDER! |
|||||||
04-27-16 | Blazers v. Clippers UNDER 197.5 | Top | 108-98 | Loss | -105 | 17 h 47 m | Show |
10* play on UNDER -Â The under is 5-0 in the last 5 head-to-head meetings, and this should stay under the total as well despite a much lower number than previous contests. The main reason for the lower number spells injuries as Chris Paul will be a miss after the All-Star point guard suffered a broken third metacarpal on his right hand in the last game. The Clippers will also be without Blake Griffin who re-aggravated the quad injury that kept him out over three months during the regular season and to top it off is J.J. Redick battling a heel injury and just 5-of-23 from the field in the last two games. The Blazers are shooting the ball far better home in Portland than on the road where the average almost three points fewer per game than their overall average. Under is 6-0 in Trail Blazers last 6 overall. Under is 4-0 in Clippers last 4 overall and 20-6 in Clippers last 26 home games. GO UNDER! |
