01-09-20 | Stars v. Ducks +125 | Top | 3-0 | Loss | -100 | 12 h 58 m | Show |
STARS @ DUCKS THURSDAY LATE NIGHT NHL *TOP PLAY* This looks like a tough spot for the Dallas Stars who will be playing on no rest after opening their three-stop trip through California with a win at LA last night. The Ducks have had an extra day of rest since taking a 4-3 loss to Columbus on Tuesday and they're a solid 9-4 in their last 13 games as a home underdog. The Stars are on a roll coming off five straight wins, but the price warrants a play on the home team in this one. 10* play on Anaheim Ducks. |
01-09-20 | Oilers v. Canadiens -129 | 4-2 | Loss | -129 | 10 h 25 m | Show
THURSDAY NIGHT OILERS @ HABS MONEYLINE MASSACRE The Montreal Canadiens should be extremely motivated for this matchup as they seek to put an end to a seven-game slide. The home team is 4-0 in the last four head-to-head meetings with the Edmonton Oilers and I think the Habs will come through with a win at Bell Centre in this one. The Oilers are coming off back-to-back road wins at Boston and Edmonton, but they're 1-6 in their last 7 games following a win. 8* play on Montreal Canadiens. |
01-09-20 | Canucks +130 v. Panthers | 2-5 | Loss | -100 | 8 h 24 m | Show
NHL 3-PACK The Vancouver Canucks took a 9-2 loss at Tampa Bay last time out, but that does not change the fact that they've been one of the hottest teams in the NHL in recent weeks. The Nucks had won eight straight prior to the loss to the Lightning, and here they'll visit an inconsistent Florida team that has split its last eight games. The Panthers took a 5-2 home loss to Arizona on Tuesday and they're 2-8 in their last 10 games playing on one days rest. 8* play on Vancouver Canucks. |
01-08-20 | Capitals v. Flyers +123 | Top | 2-3 | Win | 123 | 12 h 57 m | Show |
CAPITALS @ FLYERS *TOP PLAY* The Philadelphia Flyers are a solid 13-2-4 home at Wells Fargo Center. They'll be playing on no rest following an OT loss at Carolina last night to make it four straight defeats, but I like the price we get on Philly in this matchup. The visiting Washington Capitals will also play on on rest after putting a 6-1 beating on Ottawa on Tuesday and this will be their third game in four nights. The Flyers are 9-1 in their last 10 vs. Eastern Conference foes and should be well motivated for this one. 10* play on Philadelphia Flyers. |
01-07-20 | Flames v. Blackhawks +115 | 2-1 | Loss | -100 | 11 h 33 m | Show
FLAMES @ BLACKHAWKS TUESDAY NIGHT *POWER PLAY* The Chicago Blackhawks have won four of their last five overall and they're 5-1 in their last 6 games as an underdog. Additionally, they've only lost four home games since the start of December to improve to 10-9-3 at United Center. I like the price we get on the Hawks here against a Calgary team coming off a draining shootout win at Minnesota. The Flames have split their last four games, losing as -200 and -175 favorites. 8* play on Chicago Blackhawks. |
01-05-20 | Lightning v. Hurricanes -125 | Top | 3-1 | Loss | -125 | 6 h 56 m | Show |
GAME OF THE WEEK (NHL): MIKE'S TOP RATED SUNDAY SIDE The Carolina Hurricanes are 2-0 over the Tampa Bay Lightning this season, and I think they'll remain perfect against them after this game. The Canes will not only have home-ice advantage, but they'll also have an extra day of rest compared to the visitors who recorded a 5-3 win at Ottawa on Saturday. Carolina had opened this seven-game homestand with a pair of wins before coming up short in a 4-3 loss to Washington Friday night. This looks like a more than a reasonable price on the home team to bounce back. 10* playon Carolina Hurricanes. |
01-04-20 | Sharks v. Blue Jackets -148 | 3-2 | Loss | -148 | 13 h 23 m | Show
EARLY NHL MONEYLINE MASSACRE The Columbus Blue Jackets have won seven of their last nine overall and they're riding a 12-game point streak (8-0-4). Today they'll host a San Jose team that has dropped five of its last six outside of the Shark Tank. The Sharks picked up a 3-2 victory over Pittsburgh on Thursday, but that was just the third win through their last 14 games (3-9-2). Additionally, the Sharks have lost eight of their last 10 as an underdog while the Jackets have won three of their last four as a favorite. 8* play on Columbus Blue Jackets. |
12-27-19 | Kings +133 v. Sharks | 3-2 | Win | 133 | 21 h 12 m | Show
LATE NIGHT KINGS @ SHARKS NHL BANKROLL BUILDER The LA Kings took a 4-1 beating by St. Louis in their last game before the Christmas break. The setback was their third straight, but like the price we get on the Kings here against another reeling Pacific Division rival. The San Jose Sharks have just one win over their last 10 games overall and they have a losing home record on the season. The Kings are 6-2 in their last 8 games following a home loss of 3 or more goals and they should be well up for this one after losing twice to the Sharks already this season. 8* play on Los Angeles Kings. |
12-27-19 | Bruins v. Sabres +145 | 3-0 | Loss | -100 | 18 h 45 m | Show
FRIDAY NIGHT NHL MONEYLINE MASSACRE The Buffalo Sabres are a solid 11-3-3 overall and 5-3 as underdogs home at Keybank Stadium. They'll host a Boston Bruins team that has not been at its very best lately with just two wins in its last 10 games and it is 2-6 in its last 8 games as a favorite. This contest marks the opener of a home-and-home series, and I expect the home team to come through in this one. 8* play on Buffalo Sabres. |
12-23-19 | Coyotes v. Predators -145 | 2-3 | Win | 100 | 13 h 28 m | Show
MONDAY NIGHT NHL MONEYLINE MASSACRE The Arizona Coyotes have alternated wins and losses through their last eight games, and coming off a 5-2 win at Detroit Monday night that trend would suggest they're due for a loss here at Nashville Monday night. The Predators are 3-0-1 over their last four contests, winning two of those as underdogs. With a one-day rest advantage over the Yotes I think they'll have no trouble to skate away with this game. 8* play on Nashville Predators. |
12-23-19 | Hurricanes +115 v. Maple Leafs | 6-8 | Loss | -100 | 4 h 42 m | Show
EARLY HURRICANES @ MAPLE LEAFS DAYTIME DESTROYER The Carolina Hurricanes are a solid 12-6-2 on the road this season and look like a solid value bet when they visit the Toronto Maple Leafs Monday night. Toronto is only 9-4-6 in Scotiabank Arena on the season and the road team is 7-2 in the last 9 meetings in this series. Both teams have won seven of their last 10 overall, and I don't think home ice justify the price on the home team, particularly with Carolina off a loss while Toronto might be fat and happy riding a four-game winning streak. 8* play on Carolina. |
12-20-19 | Capitals v. Devils +175 | 6-3 | Loss | -100 | 9 h 1 m | Show
NHL TGIF BANKROLL BUILDER The Washington Capitals have split their last four games, and here they'll come up against a New Jersey Devils team that has answered a seven-game slide with back-to-back wins over Arizona and Anaheim. The Caps are without a doubt the better team, but the price warrants a play on the home team. 8* play on New Jersey Devils. |
12-20-19 | Maple Leafs v. Rangers +145 | 6-3 | Loss | -100 | 9 h 58 m | Show
TGIF NHL BOOKIE BLASTER The Toronto Maple Leafs have a losing road record on the season and they're 1-5 in their last 6 vs. a team with a losing record. The 16-13-4 NY Rangers fit the bill and they're 4-1 in their last 5 games following a loss of 3 or more goals (lost 5-2 to Nashville last time out). The Leafs are without a doubt the better team, but the price warrants a play on the home team. 8* play on New York Rangers. |
12-19-19 | Hurricanes v. Avalanche -105 | Top | 3-1 | Loss | -105 | 12 h 22 m | Show |
TOP RATED NHL MONEYLINE PLAY OF THE DAY The Colorado Avalanche will be playing on no rest after defeating the Chicago Blackhawks 4-1 on Wednesday. I still expect them to have enough gas left in the tank to take care of business against a Carolina team that is in a potential flat spot following back-to-back road wins at Calgary and Winnipeg. The Canes will be closing out a road trip on which they're currently 3-0-1, but it'll be a hostile environment in Pepsi Center where the Avs are a solid 10-3-2 on the season. We can also note that Colorado should have its No. 1 netminder Philipp Grubauer back between the pipes as Pavel Francouz got the nod yesterday. 10* play on Colorado Avalanche. |
12-17-19 | Senators v. Lightning OVER 6.5 | Top | 3-4 | Win | 102 | 10 h 37 m | Show |
GAME OF THE MONTH (NHL): MIKE'S TOP RATED TOTAL FOR DECEMBER The Ottawa Senators took a 6-1 loss at Florida last night, and heavy legs will certainly not do them any favors on the defensive end of the rink here at Tampa Bay the following night. The Sens have seen six of their last seven go over the total and the over is 9-2-1 in the Lightning's last 12 games as a home favorite. Seven of the last nine head-to-head meetings between these two clubs have gone over the total and I predict another high-scoring affair tonight. 10* play on OVER. |
12-16-19 | Avalanche v. Blues -109 | Top | 2-5 | Win | 100 | 9 h 30 m | Show |
TOP RATED AVS @ BLUES MONEYLINE MASSACRE There will be plenty at stake at Enterprise Center Monday night as a Colorado Avalanche triumph in this one would see them leapfrog the St. Louis Blues to move top of the Central Division standings. We can however note that even though the Avs are riding a nine-game point streak (8-0-1), they've routinely struggled in St. Louis in recent years, losing eight of the last nine encounters there. The Blues are coming off back-to-back home wins over Vegas and Chicago, and I think this is the kind of game where the defending Stanley Cup champs really will be on their toes. 10* play on St. Louis Blues. |
12-12-19 | Blackhawks +131 v. Coyotes | 2-5 | Loss | -100 | 12 h 54 m | Show
THURSDAY NIGHT NHL MONEYLINE MASSACRE The Arizona Coyotes defeated the Blackhawks in a shootout at Chicago on December 8, but I like the price we get on the Hawks to execute revenge tonight. While the Yotes are one of the strongest road teams in the league, they're just 7-7-1 in their own building and the Blackhawks are 10-3 in the last 13 meetings in Arizona. 8* play on Chicago Blackhawks. |
12-10-19 | Rangers v. Kings -120 | 1-3 | Win | 100 | 13 h 43 m | Show
RANGERS @ KINGS NHL NO BRAINER The LA Kings have just 11 wins on the season, but nine of those have been recorded home at Staples Center and they're 6-2-1 in the last nine in their own building. Here they'll face a New York Rangers team in a potential flat spot after winning three straight away from home. The Kings, on the other hand, will have plenty of motivation as they seek to put an end to a season-high-tying four-game slide. They took a 4-3 loss to the Flames last time out but I expect LA to bounce back in this one. 8* play on LA Kings. |
12-10-19 | Maple Leafs v. Canucks +109 | Top | 4-1 | Loss | -100 | 19 h 35 m | Show |
LATE NIGHT NHL MONEYLINE MASSACRE *TOP PLAY* The Vancouver Canucks have owned the Leafs home at Rogers Arena in recent seasons, winning 10 of the last 11 matchups. They've won three of their last four overall and enter this game off back-to-back home wins. Toronto, on the other hand, is in a slightly tougher spot as this will be the second contest of a four-game road trip. Toronto has a losing road record on the season and special teams could play a big role here with the Nucks leading the NHL in power-play goals while Toronto is one of the worst in the league when short-handed. 10* play on Vancouver Canucks. |
12-05-19 | Wild +1.5 v. Lightning | Top | 5-4 | Win | 100 | 9 h 43 m | Show |
TOP RATED THURSDAY NIGHT NHL PUCKLINE PUNISHER The Minnesota Wild are undefeated in regulation through their last 10 games, winning seven of those contests. I think they're way undervalued here, facing a Tampa Bay Lightning team that is 1-2-1 through its last four, with the lone win in OT at Nashville on Tuesday. Minnesota has won four of its last six games as road dogs while Tampa Bay has lost back-to-back games as home favorites. Additionally, note that the underdog is 4-1 in the last 5 head-to-head meetings between the two clubs. While Minnesota on the moneyline is also worth a shot, I think the puckline play should be a sure winner. 10* play on Minnesota Wild +1.5. |
12-03-19 | Maple Leafs v. Flyers +105 | 1-6 | Win | 105 | 8 h 1 m | Show
TUESDAY NIGHT NHL MONEYLINE MASSACRE *$20 SPECIAL* No team was better than the Philadelphia Flyers in November and they have only one regulation loss home at Wells Fargo Center on the season. The visiting Toronto Maple Leafs have won four of five since replacing coach Mike Babcock with Sheldon Keefe, but they closed most games as rather sizable favorites and in two of those games, backers were asked to lay -240 or more. I think the red hot Flyers and the home town crowd will be too much for the visitors to deal with. 8* play on Philadelphia Flyers.  |
11-29-19 | Lightning v. Capitals -115 | Top | 3-4 | Win | 100 | 5 h 8 m | Show |
FRIDAY NIGHT NHL MONEYLINE MASSACRE *TOP PLAY* The Tampa Bay Lightning have had a slow start to the year, but they have won six of their last nine and had picked up three straight wins prior to a 4-3 loss to St. Louis last time out. They're just 4-7 against teams with winning records on the season though, and this is not an ideal spot playing on the road following three home games, a situation they're 0-2 in on the season. The Washington Capitals managed to defeat Florida 4-3 last time out despite getting outshot 40-20. They're 9-4 after scoring four goals or more in their previous game and I think we're getting a great price on the home favorite. 10* play on Washington Capitals. |
11-27-19 | Flames v. Sabres +102 | 3-2 | Loss | -100 | 13 h 57 m | Show
FLAMES @ SABRES MONEYLINE MASSACRE The Calgary Flames have just one win in their last eight games overall. They've been outscored 28-9 during that stretch and been shut out three times, and additionally they're a miserable 5-9-2 on the road this season. Here they'll face a Buffalo team that has been only marginally better in recent games, but at least the Sabres have a winning record in their own building. Sabres are 5-2 in their last 7 home games vs. a team with a road winning % of less than .400. Flames are 1-5 in their last 6 road games. 8* play on Buffalo Sabres. |
11-26-19 | Bruins -111 v. Canadiens | 8-1 | Win | 100 | 9 h 32 m | Show
BRUINS @ HABS TUESDAY NIGHT $20 SPECIAL The Boston Bruins have won three in a row and they're a solid 4-0-1 over their last five contests. They'll have to do without four-time Selke Trophy recipient Patrice Bergeron for this matchup but should still have enough talent on the ice to beat the Habs. Montreal is winless over its last four games, and morale must be low after wasting a four-goal lead against the New York Rangers on Saturday. The Bruins defeated Minnesota 5-4 the same day and are 5-1 in their last 6 after scoring 5 goals or more in their previous game and 12-5 in their last 17 road games. The Canadiens meanwhile are 1-8 in their last 9 after scoring 5 goals or more in their previous game. 8* play on Boston Bruins. |
11-25-19 | Golden Knights v. Stars -116 | Top | 2-4 | Win | 100 | 10 h 56 m | Show |
TOP RATED VEGAS @ DALLAS NHL POWER PLAY The Dallas Stars have been one of the hottest teams in the NHL in recent weeks, coming into this contest on a six-game winning streak and 10-0-1 over their last 11 games. The Vegas Golden Knights on the other hand have just two wins over their last nine games. This game means a lot to Dallas who must be liking its chances of improving its terrible 1-5-0 record in the all time series with Vegas. Note that the Golden Knights are just 4-18 in their last 22 games as an underdog. 10* play on Dallas Stars. |
11-25-19 | Sabres +215 v. Lightning | 2-5 | Loss | -100 | 8 h 23 m | Show
SABRES @ LIGHTNING NHL MONEYMAKER The Buffalo Sabres will be playing on no rest following a 5-2 win at Florida on Sunday. I still like the price we get on the Sabres against a Tampa Bay Lightning side that has heated up lately, but this is a possible flat spot with the Lightning coming off a 6-2 win over Anaheim and just 1-8 in their last 9 after scoring 5 goals or more in their previous game. Buffalo owns a solid 5-6-1 road record and I don't think the visitors should be this big of a dog in this matchup. 8* play on Buffalo Sabres. |
11-24-19 | Hurricanes v. Red Wings +165 | 2-0 | Loss | -100 | 8 h 24 m | Show
SUNDAY NIGHT NHL NO BRAINER The Detroit Red Wings enter Sunday as losers of five straight games, but only one of those setbacks came home at Little Caesars Arena. They're 4-6-1 in front of the home town crowd on the season and while the visiting Carolina Hurricanes have been hot lately, note that they barely have a winning road record on the season. Both teams will be playing on no rest, and with all the uncertainties such situations bring I really like the price we get on the home team. 8* play on Detroit Red Wings. |
11-21-19 | Maple Leafs v. Coyotes -103 | Top | 3-1 | Loss | -103 | 11 h 16 m | Show |
GAME OF THE MONTH (NHL): MIKE'S BEST MONEYLINE FOR NOVEMBER The Arizona Coyotes have dominated the Toronto Maple Leafs in recent seasons, winning eight of the last 10 matchups including a 2-0 sweep as +155 and +235 dogs last season. I love the price we get on the Yotes here when they host Toronto Thursday night. Note that the Leafs are coming into this game on a six-game skid and they've just fired veteran coach Mike Babcock. Arizona on the other hand has played solid hockey of late and been rewarded with wins in four of their last five games. It has shut out each of its last two opponents while Toronto has surrendered 24 goals in the last five games. 10* play on Arizona Coyotes. |
11-19-19 | Maple Leafs v. Golden Knights -141 | 2-4 | Win | 100 | 12 h 42 m | Show
NHL 3-PACK The Vegas Golden Knights snapped an ugly five-game skid in an impressive way when they defeated the Flames 6-0 in the second leg of a back-to-back situation on Sunday. I like them to use that momentum to power past the Toronto Maple Leafs who enter this contest as losers in five a row, the most recent a 6-1 loss at Pittsburgh. The Maple Leafs are 1-6 in their last 7 road games while Vegas is 18-7 in its last 25 games as a home favorite of -110 to -150. 8* play on Vegas Golden Knights. |
11-19-19 | Canucks v. Stars -139 | 1-6 | Win | 100 | 10 h 13 m | Show
NHL 3-PACK The Dallas Stars won just one of their first nine games on the season. They've turned it around completely since, entering this contest with 10 wins in their last 12 games, and here they'll host a Vancouver Canucks team that has just one win in its last seven games. The Nucks have really struggled on the defensive end lately with four or more goals allowed in four of their last five games, and I'm expecting the red hot Stars to take full advantage of their reeling opponent. 8* play on Dallas Stars. |
11-19-19 | Islanders v. Penguins -125 | 5-4 | Loss | -125 | 9 h 39 m | Show
NHL 3-PACK The New York Islanders have been the hottest team in the NHL lately with 13 wins and an overtime loss through their last 14 games. That OT loss came against Pittsburgh on Nov. 7, and I like the Penguins to get the better of the Isles again in this matchup. Pittsburgh has been inconsistent and enters this contest banged up, but it is 7-3-1 home at PPG PAINTS Arena and the Islanders can't keep winning forever. 8* play on Pittsburgh Penguins. |
11-16-19 | Stars v. Oilers -114 | Top | 5-4 | Loss | -114 | 5 h 40 m | Show |
TOP RATED 10* NHL PLAY OF THE DAY The Dallas Stars have caught fire after a slow start to the season and travel to Edmonton riding a 9-1-1 run. This is a tough spot for them though, playing their third road game in four nights after winning at Calgary and Vancouver Wednesday/Thursday. The Oilers have won three of their last four, and I think they'll get the better of the Stars in this one. Note that Edmonton is a solid 7-2-1 home at Rogers Place while Dallas has a losing road record. Additionally, the home team is 6-1 in the past seven meetings. 10* play on Edmonton Oilers. |
11-14-19 | Rangers +227 v. Lightning | 3-9 | Loss | -100 | 10 h 20 m | Show
THURSDAY NIGHT NHL NO BRAINER The New York Rangers are winners of three of their last four games and they're 5-1-1 through their last seven. The Tampa Bay Lightning are still priced on old merits even though they have just a marginally better record than the Rangers this season, and I strongly disagree that the visitors should be this big of a dog in this matchup. Note that the Rangers have won both their previous games where they closed as +200 dogs or more (in Nashville and in Carolina). 8* play on New York Rangers. |
11-14-19 | Hurricanes v. Sabres UNDER 6.5 | 5-4 | Loss | -120 | 10 h 7 m | Show
SUBSCRIBERS ONLY The Buffalo Sabres are 2-1 as a home dog on the season, with all three games going under the total. Here they'll host a Carolina team that has lost three straight games as road favorites, and Buffalo should come out some urgency here looking to snap an ugly five-game slide. The Canes just ended a four-game losing streak of their own with a dominant 8-2 win over Ottawa. I would not be surprised if they come out flat here. 8* play on UNDER. |
11-13-19 | Blackhawks +210 v. Golden Knights | 5-3 | Win | 210 | 9 h 12 m | Show
LATE NIGHT CHICAGO @ VEGAS NHL BOOKIE BLASTER The Vegas Golden Knights are just a mediocre 4-3-2 home at T-Mobile Arena this season. They're coming into this contest off three straight losses and I like the price we get on Chicago to make it four in a row. The Blackhawks have alternated wins and losses over their last six games and they've scored five goals in two of their past three. "We've got guys throughout our lineup that can create offense," said Jonathan Toews, Chicago's captain. "You get a lead and everyone just relaxes a little bit, feels like, 'OK, we can make plays.' Not necessarily get too risky, but just play with a little bit more creativity instead of just throwing the puck away all the time." Vegas has struggled to find the net lately and I would not be surprised to see the visitors steal this one. At this price, it's definitely worth a shot. 8* play on Chicago Blackhawks. |
11-13-19 | Capitals -114 v. Flyers | Top | 2-1 | Win | 100 | 9 h 30 m | Show |
TOP RATED CAPITALS @ FLYERS *BEST BET* I think we're getting a great price on the Washington Capitals at Philadelphia Wednesday night. The Flyers are off to a hot start and will enter this contest on a four-game winning streak, but they'll host an angry Washington team looking to bounce back from a 4-3 SO loss to Arizona on Monday. The Caps had won six on the bounce prior to that setback and are 5-1 after allowing four goals or more their last game. Washington has won five of the previous six meetings between these teams, and this is a no brainer play on the best team in hockey right now. 10* play on Washington Capitals. |
11-13-19 | Senators +159 v. Devils | 4-2 | Win | 159 | 6 h 14 m | Show
WEDNESDAY NIGHT NHL BOOKIE BA$HER The New Jersey Devils are just 4-5-4 on the season, and I don't think they should be this big of a favorite against any team, not even the lowly 6-10-1 Senators. Ottawa should be focused here after getting embarrassed in an 8-2 loss in Carolina on Monday night. Ottawa coach D.J. Smith said after Tuesday's practice. "We're going to put our work boots on tomorrow and be ready to play." New Jersey no doubt deserves to be favored, but this is too good of a price on the visitors to pass on. 8* play on Ottawa Senators. |
11-12-19 | Wild -111 v. Kings | 1-3 | Loss | -111 | 13 h 55 m | Show
NHL 3-PACK The Minnesota Wild are a poor 3-9 on the road this season, but here they'll face a Kings team they beat 5-1 at home on Oct. 26. They're 9-1-4 in the last 14 games overall against the Kings with wins in each of the last four matchups. The Kings are off to a miserable start to the season (dead last in the Western Conference) and enter this contest as losers of seven of their last eight overall. 8* play on Minnesota Wild. |
11-12-19 | Oilers +115 v. Sharks | Top | 3-6 | Loss | -100 | 14 h 1 m | Show |
GAME OF THE WEEK (NHL): MIKE'S TOP RATED TUESDAY MONEYLINE The Edmonton Oilers have won each of their last four games closing as underdogs, and I really like their chances at San Jose Tuesday night. The Sharks have heated up lately, but they've still dropped four of their last six as favorites and they're 2-6 against teams with a winning record this season. Edmonton picked up a 6-2 victory at Anaheim on Sunday and is 6-2 after scoring 4 goals or more in its previous game. 10* play on Edmonton Oilers. |
11-12-19 | Predators v. Canucks +100 | 3-5 | Win | 100 | 12 h 24 m | Show
NHL 3-PACK The Vancouver Canucks have dropped four in a row, among those two home losses. They are still a solid 4-1-1 home at Rogers Arena as they had opened the season with four straight home wins, and here they'll host a Nashville team that is almost just as cold with four losses in its last five games, with several losses as big favorites. The Nucks may not be playing their best hockey at the moment, but taking on another slumping team in their own building could be just what the doctor ordered to get back on track. 8* play on Vancouver Canucks. |
11-07-19 | Predators -124 v. Avalanche | Top | 4-9 | Loss | -124 | 11 h 25 m | Show |
TOP RATED 10* NHL MONEYLINE PLAY OF THE DAY The Colorado Avalanche are 0-4-1 in their last five games and will have to do without both captain Gabriel Landeskog and Mikko Rantanen when they host the Nashville Predators Thursday night. The Preds are healthy and snapped a two-game skid with a 6-1 victory over Detroit on Monday. Nashville netminder Pekka Rinne is 8-0-2 with a 2.07 GAA on the season and he has great career numbers against the Avs who's goalie Philipp Grubauer has had a rough time in recent outings. 10* play on the Nashville Predators. |
11-05-19 | Bruins v. Canadiens -105 | Top | 4-5 | Win | 100 | 8 h 49 m | Show |
GAME OF THE WEEK (NHL): MIKE'S TOP RATED TUESDAY NIGHT MONEYLINE This looks like a tough spot for the Boston Bruins. They might have won six in a row, but they'll be playing on no rest following a 6-4 win over Pittsburgh on Monday and facing a well rested Montreal Canadiens team. The Habs last played on November 2 when they took a 4-1 loss to the Stars, but they had won three straight prior to that setback. "The real explanation is that I didn't think we had our legs," said Montreal coach Claude Julien after the loss. "I didn't think we had the energy tonight...we looked like a tired team (Saturday)." Expect the Habs to have more energy for this one, and I think they'll look forward to this opportunity to beat the current beast of the east. 10* play on Montreal Canadiens. |
11-04-19 | Coyotes -101 v. Oilers | 3-2 | Win | 100 | 10 h 52 m | Show
MONDAY NIGHT NHL MONEYLINE MASSACRE The Edmonton Oilers are 5-1-0 at home on the season and head into the new week at the top of the Pacific Division, but I think they'll come up short in this matchup against Arizona. The Coyotes are one of the hottest teams in the NHL with seven wins in their last nine games (and four in their last five road games) following a 3-0 home shutout of Colorado, and are just four points behind Edmonton in the standings. The Oilers return home from a tough three-game road trip that concluded with a 2-1 OT win at Pittsburgh on Saturday, but they were put under heavy pressure and were outshot 52-28. The Yotes are streaky and should be fairly well rested having played the fewest games of any team in the conference, and I think we're getting a great price on the visitors. 8* play on Arizona Coyotes. |
11-01-19 | Lightning v. Islanders +106 | Top | 2-5 | Win | 106 | 8 h 42 m | Show |
GAME OF THE WEEK (NHL): MIKE'S TOP RATED FRIDAY NIGHT MONEYLINE The New York Islanders look like a solid bet against the Tampa Bay Lightning Friday night. They enter this contest as winners of seven in a row and have had plenty of time to get ready for this one following a 5-3 victory over Philadelphia on Sunday. The Tampa Bay Lightning, on the other hand, will play their third game in four nights and seem flustered by a rather mediocre 6-4-2 start to the season. "Last year there were times we wouldn't play that good but win easily, but this year it's a little different. It's a different season, and we have a lot of different guys. But I don't want to keep talking about last season," Ondrej Palat said following a wild 7-6 overtime victory over New Jersey on Tuesday. Look for the Islanders go get it done home at Barclays Center. 10* play on NY Islanders. |
10-30-19 | Canucks -103 v. Kings | 5-3 | Win | 100 | 16 h 58 m | Show
WEDNESDAY 3-PACK The Vancouver Canucks put an 8-2 beating on the LA Kings three weeks ago, and I think we'll see another high-scoring affair when the two teams clash at Staples Center Wednesday night. The Kings took a 5-1 loss to Chicago on Sunday and are giving up 4+ goals per game on the season. I don't think they'll allow the visiting Nucks to skate away with this game comfortably, but to stay in this contest they'll need to score. Note that Vancouver averaging a healthy 3.64 gpg, fifth in the NHL, and put seven in a win against Florida Monday night. While I'm confident we'll see the scoreboard light up plenty, I am also almost equally confident that the visitors will be responsible for the majority of the goals. 8* play on Vancouver Canucks. |
10-30-19 | Canucks v. Kings OVER 6 | Top | 5-3 | Win | 100 | 21 h 29 m | Show |
GAME OF THE MONTH (NHL): MIKE'S TOP RATED NHL TOTAL The Vancouver Canucks put an 8-2 beating on the LA Kings three weeks ago, and I think we'll see another high-scoring affair when the two teams clash at Staples Center Wednesday night. 10* play on OVER. |
10-29-19 | Jets v. Ducks -107 | 4-7 | Win | 100 | 11 h 19 m | Show
LATE NIGHT JETS @ DUCKS BOOKIE BLASTER BAILOUT The Anaheim Ducks have gone 1-4 over their last five following a hot 6-2 start to the season. Here they return home from a four-game road trip which should work wonders for the confidence as they've won four of five home in the Duck Pond. The visiting Winnipeg Jets have not had the best of preparations following a 2-1 victory over the Calgary Flames in the Heritage Classic outdoor game played at Mosaic Stadium, home of the Canadian Football League's Saskatchewan Roughriders, Saturday night. The Jets have not scored more than two goals in regulation in any of their last seven games which could spell trouble against a Ducks team that at the very least can score goals in its own building. 8* play on Anaheim Ducks. |
10-28-19 | Panthers +122 v. Canucks | 2-7 | Loss | -100 | 12 h 39 m | Show
PANTHERS @ CANUCKS NHL MONEYLINE MASSACRE The Vancouver Canucks will be playing on two days rest while the Florida Panthers will be playing their second game in as many nights, but I still like the visitors to come through with a win at Rogers Arena Monday night. The Nucks just might have had too many days to mull over Friday's 6-5 loss to the Caps in a game where they coughed up a four-goal lead. The Panthers have earned at least one point in eight straight games after picking up a 6-2 win at Edmonton on Sunday and they've scored four goals or more in five of their last six games, the lone exception a 3-2 shootout triumph at Nashville. Panthers are 24-4 in their last 28 Monday games and 6-2 in their last 8 games as an underdog. Canucks are 8-17 in their last 25 games playing on 2 days rest. 8* play on Florida Panthers. |
10-27-19 | Blues v. Red Wings +130 | 5-4 | Loss | -100 | 6 h 55 m | Show
BLUES @ RED WINGS NHL BANKROLL BUILDER The Detroit Red Wings look like a live home dog here against the St. Louis Blues Sunday afternoon. Detroit has dropped seven straight and the team must be getting really desperate for a win, and what better time to end the skid than versus the defending Stanley Cup champs? Additionally, we can note that the Blues are winless in their last three on the road and will have to do without one of their top offensive players with Vladimir Tarasenko out with an upper-body injury. St. Louis is clearly the better team, but the price is right to back the home side at Little Caesars Arena. 8* play on Detroit Red Wings. |
10-25-19 | Islanders v. Senators +105 | 4-2 | Loss | -100 | 15 h 49 m | Show
3-PACK This looks like a letdown spot for the NY Islanders who will play on back-to-back nights after earning a fifth consecutive victory with a 4-2 triumph over Arizona last night. The Sens have had an additional day of rest since opening a three-game homestand with a 5-2 victory over Detroit. The triumph snapped a four-game losing streak and they'll be desperate to build on the momentum of their mere second win of the season. 8* play on Ottawa Senators. |
10-24-19 | Ducks v. Stars -141 | 1-2 | Win | 100 | 11 h 32 m | Show
THURSDAY NIGHT NHL MONEYLINE MASSACRE The Dallas Stars are looking to recover from a slow start to the season and are coming off back-to-back wins since starting the campaign 1-7-1. One Dallas player in particular will be extra fired up for this contest as this will be Corey Perry's first meeting with the team he spent the previous 14 seasons with, and this is not a good spot for the Ducks who have scored just one goal per game in consecutive losses. Breaking out of the scoring slump won't be easy against Dallas netminder Ben Bishop who has owned the Ducks in previous meetings and we can note that the home team has prevailed in 12 straight head-to-head meetings. 8* play on Dallas Stars. |
10-22-19 | Oilers +112 v. Wild | Top | 0-3 | Loss | -100 | 11 h 40 m | Show |
TOP RATED 10* TUESDAY NIGHT NHL POWER PLAY The Minnesota Wild are coming off their first win of the season, but I think they'll struggle to make it two on the bounce coming up against an Edmonton side looking to get back on track from a 0-1 shootout loss against the Jets on Sunday. They're still a tremendous 7-1-1 on the season and the Oilers goaltending has been terrific with only 21 goals allowed in nine games. The Wild on the other hand have allowed a league-worst 4.00 goals against per game this season and #1 netminder Devan Dubnyk is 1-5-0 with a 4.18 goals-against average with an .874 save percentage. The Oilers are 6-1 in their last seven games as a road underdog when listed between +110 and +150 odds and I think we're getting more than a reasonable price on the visitors. 10* play on Edmonton Oilers. |
10-21-19 | Golden Knights -118 v. Flyers | Top | 2-6 | Loss | -118 | 12 h 5 m | Show |
MONDAY NIGHT NHL MONEYLINE MASSACRE *TOP PLAY* This will be the fifth meeting ever between the Vegas Golden Knights and the Philadelphia Flyers. The road team has won all the previous matchups, and that's a trend I think will continue here. The reeling Flyers have scored just seven goals through an 0-3-1 stretch while the Knights are as solid as ever with four wins in their last five games. They've held opponents to fewer than two goals per game when playing on the road this season and should have no trouble to shut down the Flyers.  Golden Knights are 12-5 in their last 17 games as a road favorite and 14-6 in their last 20 games following a win. Flyers are 0-7 in their last 7 games as an underdog. 10* play on Vegas Golden Knights. |
10-20-19 | Capitals -134 v. Blackhawks | Top | 5-3 | Win | 100 | 18 h 30 m | Show |
SUNDAY NIGHT NHL BIG HITTER *TOP PLAY* The Chicago Blackhawks are coming off wins over the Edmonton Oilers and Columbus Blue Jackets after starting the season 0-2-1. I think they'll come up short here in the fifth game of a seven-game homestand. The visiting Washington Capitals are 3-1-0 on the road this season and are playing solid hockey at the moment. We can also note that their netminder Braden Holtby (2-1-2, 3.83 GAA) is 8-3 in his career vs. Chicago while the Blackhawks' goalies have struggled in previous meetings with the Caps. Capitals are 8-3 in their last 11 games as a road favorite of -110 to -150. Blackhawks are 17-35 in their last 52 games as an underdog of +110 to +150. 10* play on Washington Capitals. |
10-20-19 | Canadiens +100 v. Wild | 3-4 | Loss | -100 | 6 h 5 m | Show
CANADIENS @ WILD POWER PLAY The Minnesota Wild have scored just 14 goals through a 1-6-0 start to the season and were shut out in a 4-0 loss at Montreal Thursday night. They've not been much better at the other end of the ice, ranking 29th in the league in goals against by giving up 4.14 goals per game on the year.  The Habs have won three of their last four and took down the reigning Stanley Cup champion St. Louis Blues 5-2 on Saturday afternoon. Playing on no rest is obviously not optimal, but that's also why we're getting such a good price on the visitors. The Wild are better than what they've shown so far, but I'm happy to fade them until given a reason not to. 8* play on Montreal Canadiens. |
10-18-19 | Blue Jackets +117 v. Blackhawks | 2-3 | Loss | -100 | 10 h 47 m | Show
BLUE JACKETS @ BLACKHAWKS POWER PLAY The Chicago Blackhawks earned their first win of the season with a 3-1 triumph over Edmonton last time out. Getting that first W must've been a relief and putting them in a letdown spot, making me believe they'll be back to their losing ways here when hosting the Columbus Blue Jackets. Columbus has won three of its last four and is coming off back-to-back 3-2 wins against Carolina and Dallas. It has outshot each of its last four opponents and should be able to take advantage of a Chicago penalty kill that has allowed five goals on 13 shorthanded situations through the first four games. 8* play on Columbus Blue Jackets. |
10-18-19 | Stars v. Penguins -135 | 2-4 | Win | 100 | 16 h 1 m | Show
FRIDAY NIGHT NHL NO BRAINER The Dallas Stars are a mess with just one win and three points through their first eight games of the season. I think the Pittsburgh Penguins will add to their misery when they host the Stars home at PPG PAINTS Arena Friday night. Pittsburgh is off a hot 5-2-0 start and it enters this contest as a winner of four on the bounce while tallying a total of 19 goals in the process. Penguins captain Sidney Crosby is leading the team with four goals and eight assists and the team is scoring 4.00 goals per game. The Stars on the other hand has averaged a league-low 1.88 gpg and their big guns, Tyler Seguin and Jamie Benn, are both struggling, just as their star netminder Ben Bishop on the other end of the ice. 8* play on Pittsburgh Penguins. |
10-17-19 | Sabres v. Kings -113 | 3-0 | Loss | -113 | 9 h 58 m | Show
LATE NIGHT SABRES @KINGS BANKROLL BAILOUT PLAY This looks like a good spot to back the LA Kings who are coming off back-to-back home losses, but no shame in losing to Nashville and Carolina. They will be playing on one day rest while the visiting Buffalo Sabres will be playing on no rest after seeing a three-game winning streak come to an end with a 5-2 loss at Anaheim last night.  The Kings have struggled on the defensive end of the rink, but I think they'll wear down the Sabres in this one. 8* play on LA Kings. |
10-17-19 | Lightning v. Bruins -115 | Top | 4-3 | Loss | -115 | 19 h 17 m | Show |
THURSDAY NIGHT LIGHTNING @ BRUINS *TOP PLAY* I like the price we get on the Boston Bruins, one of the hottest teams in the league, when they host the Tampa Bay Lightning home at TD Garden Thursday night. This is a very tough spot for the visitors who are off to a rather slow start, will be playing on one day of rest and close out a six-game road trip. Boston on the other hand will play on two days rest and this marks its third straight home game after beating New Jersey and Anaheim by a combined score of 7-2 in the first two.  The Lightning won three of the four meetings between the teams last season, but I expect Boston to come through in this one. 10* play on Boston Bruins. |
10-16-19 | Hurricanes v. Sharks -124 | Top | 2-5 | Win | 100 | 15 h 5 m | Show |
GAME OF THE WEEK (NHL): MIKE'S CANES @ SHARKS LATE NIGHT *TOP PLAY* The Carolina Hurricanes blanked the Kings in LA last night to move to 6-1-0 on the season. This looks like a good spot to fade the Canes though; note that road dogs on no rest and coming off a road win as a favorite are just 4-13 SU since the start of last season with a 28.8% ROI betting against them. Here they'll face a San Jose Sharks looking to go on a run after a slow 2-4-0 start. The Sharks have some momentum following back-to-back wins and they've won four straight when hosting Carolina and four of the last five meetings overall. 10* play on San Jose Sharks. |
10-16-19 | Stars v. Blue Jackets -103 | 2-3 | Win | 100 | 10 h 34 m | Show
WEDNESDAY NIGHT STARS @ BLUE JACKETS POWER PLAY This looks like a great spot to fade the Dallas Stars who are winless in three straight games and just 1-5-1 on the season. They've scored just a total of three goals during their current slide and here they'll face a Columbus team that must feel pretty good after winning three of its last two, the most recent a big underdog win at Carolina (the Canes only loss this season). The Blue Jackets have won seven straight head-to-head meetings and that's a trend I think will continue. 8* play on Columbus Blue Jackets. |
10-15-19 | Red Wings +137 v. Canucks | 1-5 | Loss | -100 | 18 h 50 m | Show
TUESDAY NIGHT $20 SPECIAL NHL NO BRAINER I like the price we get on the Detroit Red Wings at Vancouver Canucks Tuesday night. The home team will be without its starting netminder Jacob Markstrom who has been granted leave of absence due to personal reasons. Backup goaltender Thatcher Demko will make his season debut and posted a not very impressive 2.81 GAA in nine appearances (eight starts) last season. The Red Wings are undefeated on the road (2-0-0) and have won three of five games overall, each win paying at least +140 for backers. The visitors are 22-8 in their last 30 as the underdog. 8* play on Detroit Red Wings. |
10-14-19 | Stars v. Sabres -101 | Top | 0-4 | Win | 100 | 12 h 14 m | Show |
GAME OF THE MONTH (NHL): MIKE'S TOP RATED MONDAY MONEYLINE MASSACRE The Buffalo Sabres are 4-0-1 on the season, a record that includes a perfect 3-0-0 run home at KeyBank Center. Here they'll host a Dallas Stars team that is off to a slow start, and I like Buffalo to come out of this one with its perfect home record intact. The Stars have a 1-4-1 record and are coming off back-to-back home losses to Washington and Calgary during which they went 1-for-10 on the power play while allowing goals in 3-of-7 shorthanded situations. Extremely worrying for the Stars as the Sabres lead the NHL with a 42%+ conversion rate on their 19 opportunities with an extra skater on the ice. Dallas has averaged just 2.2 goals per game on the season, and while it's still early days I think Stars will struggle to keep up with this Sabres team looking to ride the momentum of its hot start. 10* play on Buffalo Sabres. |
10-14-19 | Panthers -106 v. Devils | 6-4 | Win | 100 | 3 h 50 m | Show
SUPER EARLY PANTHERS @ DEVILS BANKROLL BUILDER The New Jersey Devils are 0-3-2 on the season and I think they'll have to wait for at least another game until they pick up their first win. The visiting Florida Panthers have only been marginally better with one win on the season, but they will be looking forward to the opportunity of taking advantage of a lesser opponent following back-to-back shootout losses at Buffalo and NY Islanders. The Panthers outshot their opponents by an average of 10 shots in those contests and should have no trouble to get the better of a Devils side that has scored just five goals in four games and been shut out in two of its last three. We can also note that even though still not confirmed, two-time Vezina Trophy winner Sergei Bobrovsky should be back in the crease for the visitors after being rested Saturday. 8* play on Florida Panthers. |
10-11-19 | Islanders v. Hurricanes UNDER 6 | Top | 2-5 | Loss | -116 | 9 h 47 m | Show |
GAME OF THE WEEK (NHL): MIKE'S TOP RATED ISLANDERS @ CANES TOTAL The Carolina Hurricanes are a perfect 4-0-0 on the season, and while they've mostly been involved in high-scoring games I think that will not be the case here. The New York Islanders are 1-2-0 on the season. They've not been too shabby defensively with eight goals allowed in three games, but producing goals at the other end of the ice has been an issue. They've mustered only seven on the season, with four of those goals coming against the leaky Winnipeg Jets. Note that Canes netminder Petr Mrazek posted a 2.04 GAA in two meetings with the Islanders last year. Under is 16-6 in Hurricanes last 22 games as a home favorite of -151 to -200 and 6-0-2 in Islanders last 8 games as an underdog of +151 to +200. 10* play on UNDER. |
10-10-19 | Sharks -104 v. Blackhawks | 5-4 | Win | 100 | 6 h 27 m | Show
SHARKS @ BLACKHAWKS MONEYLINE MASSACRE The San Jose Sharks will be extremely motivated for this contest after starting the season 0-4. They're so much better than their record would suggest, and here they'll face a Chicago team off a 4-3 loss against Philadelphia at the Czech rebublic. My money is on San Jose to get the first W of the season. 8* play on San Jose Sharks. |
10-09-19 | Devils v. Flyers -123 | Top | 0-4 | Win | 100 | 17 h 35 m | Show |
TOP RATED 10* NHL PLAY OF THE DAY The Philadelphia Flyers opened the season with a 4-3 win over the Chicago Blackhawks in the Czech Republic last Friday. They've had plenty of time to recover from the transatlantic journey, and according to Jakub Voracek the long layoff won't be an issue. "Usually it is, to be honest," the 30-year-old Voracek said (of the layoff). "But if you watched today's practice, I think there was a high pace and I think everybody pushed pretty hard. We're going to skate (Wednesday morning) and we'll be fine." The Devils are 0-1-1 on the season. They opened the season by blowing a four-goal lead to lose 5-4 in a shootout against the Jets and took a 7-2 loss at Buffalo last time out. They've struggled on the defensive end of the rink and are 4-10 in their last 14 games following a loss of three or more goals. The Flyers are 11-4 in their last 15 games as a favorite, and if they could beat Chicago on neutral ice they should handle New Jersey at home with ease. 10* play on Philadelphia Flyers. |
10-08-19 | Ducks v. Red Wings -105 | Top | 3-1 | Loss | -105 | 9 h 43 m | Show |
TOP RATED 10* TUESDAY NHL PLAY OF THE DAY The Detriot Red Wings have opened the season 2-0, beating two very accomplished teams as they first picked up a win at Nashville followed by a 4-3 triumph over Dallas on Sunday. Tonight they'll host an Anaheim team that also is undefeated, but this will be the Ducks first road game of the season and I don't like their chances here at Little Caesars Arena. Anaheim has been outshot in both of its first two games, and while it allowed only one goal in each game I would not call it a good defensive side. Detroit has scored nine goals on the season and might get another offensive threat back on the ice here in Andreas Athanasiou who missed the first two games with an injury. 10* play on Detroit Red Wings. |
10-08-19 | Oilers v. Islanders -150 | 5-2 | Loss | -150 | 14 h 38 m | Show
$20 TUESDAY SPECIAL I'm counting on the New York Islanders to come through as a home favorite over the Edmonton Oilers Tuesday night. The Islanders have split a couple of games home at Barclays Center and shut down the high-scoring Winnipeg Jets in a 4-1 triumph last time out. They'll be looking to close out this three-game homestand with a winning record before heading out on the road.  The Islanders have two quality goalies in Thomas Greiss and Semyon Varlamov, and the team has allowed just three goals on the season. That defensive display is in stark contrast to the Oilers who gave up more than that in their last contest alone, a 6-5 home win over the LA Kings. The Oilers have dropped 10 of the last 12 matchups in New York and they were just 10-20 as a road dog last season. As for the Islanders, they're 19-12 as a home favorite since the start of last season. 8* play on New York Islanders. |
10-07-19 | Blues v. Maple Leafs -126 | 3-2 | Loss | -126 | 8 h 40 m | Show
BLUES @ MAPLE LEAFS MONEYLINE MASSACRE I like the Toronto Maple Leafs to bounce back from a 6-5 shootout loss to Montreal at home Saturday night. They ran out of steam late and coughed up a 4-1 lead, not entirely surprising considering it was their second game in as many nights. We can also note that they had their backup goalie in the crease, but Frederik Andersen is expected to be back between the sticks for this one. The Leafs should come into this contest fairly rested and looking to make a statement against the reigning Stanley Cup champs and, they'll also be looking to end a six-game losing streak in the series. As for the Blues, they're coming off a 3-2 home win over Dallas to make it 1-0-1 on the season. They've struggled to get the offense going and I think they'll come up short in their first road contest of the season. 8* play on Toronto Maple Leafs. |
10-06-19 | Stars v. Red Wings +127 | 3-4 | Win | 127 | 8 h 26 m | Show
STARS @ RED WINGS MONEYLINE MASSACRE The Detroit Red Wings opened the season with a 5-3 triumph at Nashville on Saturday while the Dallas Stars fell to 0-0-2 with a 3-2 setback at St. Louis. The Red Wings are 7-1 in their last 8 games as an underdog and they've won eight straight meetings with the Stars. Dallas has early injury woes and I'm looking for the Wings to take full advantage and continue their dominance of the Stars. 8* play on Detroit Red Wings. |
10-04-19 | Jets +130 v. Devils | 5-4 | Win | 130 | 7 h 11 m | Show
JETS @ DEVILS FRIDAY NIGHT NHL BOOKIE BLASTER The Winnipeg Jets came up short in a 6-4 loss at New York Rangers Thursday night. They'll be playing on no rest here at New Jersey the next evening, but I don't think that will be much of an issue this early in the season. Quite the opposite in fact, as they've had a game to scrub the rust of the skates while this will the Devils season opener. The Jets held a 47-32 edge in shots against the Rangers and usually have no trouble finding the net. They'll have their backup goalie between the sticks here, but that should not make much of a difference against a Devils team that averaged only 2.67 goals a game last season. 8* play on Winnipeg Jets. |
10-04-19 | Blackhawks v. Flyers -114 | 3-4 | Win | 100 | 8 h 53 m | Show
EARLY BLACKHAWKS @ FLYERS MONEYLINE MASSACRE The Philadelphia Flyers will take on the Chicago Blackhawks in Prague, the Czech Republic on Friday. The Blackhawks allowed the second-most goals in the NHL last season and Philly has plenty of firepower, particularly in its top line of captain Claude Giroux, Sean Couturier and Jakub Voracek. This contest seems to be of particular importance to Voracek, a native of Kladno in the Czech Republic. "What does it mean for me? That I get to see my family and friends," Voracek told reporters. "What does it mean for me and the team? That we are here to grab two points. Obviously, we want to have a good start. It didn't happen very often the last few years, so just want to dig in and make sure we show the Czech fans some good hockey." The Flyers have brought in veteran NHL coach Alain Vigneault, and he should be poised to get the win in his debut with the team. Last season, the Flyers took both meetings and that's a trend I like to continue. 8* play on Philadelphia Flyers. |
10-03-19 | Jets +125 v. Rangers | Top | 4-6 | Loss | -100 | 10 h 54 m | Show |
TOP RATED JETS @ RANGERS NHL PLAY OF THE DAY The home town crowd will no doubt be fired up here at Madison Square Garden as they look to carry their beloved New York Rangers to a win, but I think they'll come up disappointed. The Winnipeg Jets are clearly superior to the rebuilding Rangers, and they've had good success in the Big Apple in recent seasons winning five of the last six matchups there. Rangers netminder Henrik Lundqvist finished last season 18-23-10 with a career-worst 3.07 GAA, including 0-1-1 with a 3.39 GAA in two games against Winnipeg. 10* play on Winnipeg Jets. |
10-02-19 | Sharks +155 v. Golden Knights | 1-4 | Loss | -100 | 34 h 28 m | Show
OPENING NIGHT SHARKS @ KNIGHTS BOOKIE BLASTER The San Jose Sharks look way underrated by the bookmakers here in the season opener at Pacific Division rival Vegas Golden Knights. "It’s almost as big of a rivalry than LA right now," said Sharks forward Tomas Hertl. "I love these games. Not just the playing, but the fans from both sides. They enjoy the games and the rivalry is just building up. I love these games because it seems like playoff rivalry from the first game of the season." Rivalry games are always hard to predict and San Jose has a psychological advantage after knocking out the Knights from the playoffs in a fierce seven-game series last season. I think this is a great price on the underdog considering all the unknowns coming into the new season. 8* play on San Jose Sharks. |
06-12-19 | Blues v. Bruins UNDER 5.5 | 4-1 | Win | 100 | 7 h 20 m | Show
STANLEY CUP FINALS GAME 7 BOOKIE BLASTER Game 7 of Stanley Cup Finals (or any kind of finals for that matter) are usually tight low-scoring affairs, and I think that will be the case here when the Blues and the Bruins clash for all the marbles Wednesday night. On top of the situational angle, we can note that the teams have gone a combined 1-for-17 on the power play over the last three games and we have two solid netminders in Jordan Binnington and Tukka Rask in the crease. 8* play on UNDER. |

06-09-19 | Bruins v. Blues -110 | Top | 5-1 | Loss | -110 | 19 h 46 m | Show |
GAME OF THE MONTH (NHL): MIKE'S STANLEY CUP FINALS GAME 6 BEST BET The Boston Bruins looked like they were in control of the Stanley Cup Finals but are now facing elimination following 4-2 and 2-1 Blues wins in the past two games. I like the Blues to close out the series here in front of the home town crowd Sunday night. Boston has had the better special teams in the series, but their otherwise so potent power play is 0-for-5 in the past two games and the Blues have been dominant in 5-on-5 play. We can also note that the Bruins first line has gone stone cold producing only two assists in the past two losses.  The home team is 6-2 in the last 8 meetings and I expect the Blues to be able to hoist the cup at the end of this game. 10* play on St. Louis Blues. |
06-03-19 | Bruins +104 v. Blues | Top | 2-4 | Loss | -100 | 19 h 54 m | Show |
TOP RATED 10* BRUINS @ BLUES STANLEY CUP FINALS GAME 4 The St. Louis Blues managed to steal home ice advantage with a win at Boston in Game 2 of the Stanley Cup Finals, but the Bruins regained it just as quick with a dominant 7-2 victory on Saturday. Blues netminder and Calder Trophy finalist Jordan Binnington had a rough game giving up five goals on 19 shots, and one must wonder if the 25-year-old rookie can handle the pressure and regroup. The Bruins have a golden opportunity to set themselves up to close out the series in five games, and I think they'll do just that. This is simply too good of a price on a team that has won five straight on the road while allowing a total of just five goals with two shutouts. 10* play on Boston Bruins. |
05-29-19 | Blues v. Bruins -1.5 | Top | 3-2 | Loss | -100 | 11 h 0 m | Show |
GAME OF THE YEAR (NHL): MIKE'S BEST POSTSEASON SIDE The Boston Bruins proved well worth the money in Game 1 of this series as they battled back from a two-goal deficit to earn a 4-2 victory The loss must be mentally tough for the Blues who missed out on a golden opportunity to steal home-ice advantage, and I think they're unlikely to keep it close here as the red hot Bruins surely will be on their toes from the get-go tonight to avoid falling behind early again. The Bruins have won eight consecutive postseason games and the home team is 5-0 in the last five meetings between these two teams. This looks like a solid case for a blowout win for the home team. 10* play on Boston Bruin PL. |
05-27-19 | Blues v. Bruins -147 | 2-4 | Win | 100 | 12 h 59 m | Show
BLUES @ BRUINS STANLEY CUP FINALS GAME 1 The Boston Bruins are a rather sizable favorite here in Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Finals, but I think they'll prove well worth the juice. The Bruins have had plenty of time to get ready for this contest (11 days) following a four-game sweep of Carolina while St. Louis battled six tough games against the Sharks. Too much time off for Boston? I don't think that is a thing this late in the season, and we can note that they held an intrasquad scrimmage on Thursday. "Once you go 10 days with no playing, I think it's good to get a little action in and get used to that pace," said Bruins goaltender Tuukka Rask. "I think that's what we wanted to accomplish, and it looked good."  As the clincher; the home team is 4-0 in the last four meetings between these two clubs. 8* play on Boston Bruins. |
05-16-19 | Bruins v. Hurricanes +100 | 4-0 | Loss | -100 | 11 h 3 m | Show
SUBSCRIBERS ONLY The Carolina Hurricanes finally managed to shut down the Bruins offense in Game 3, but to no avail as they still lost 2-1. They've managed just a total of five goals through the first three games of the series, all losses. Facing elimination, I expect the home team to make sure to turn this into a low-scoring contest as the Canes simply can not rely on their offense. We can also note that the under is 15-8 in Bruins' road games where the total is 5.5 this season. Additionally, I fully expect Carolina to do everything in its power to avoid getting knocked out of the playoffs in its own building. It was perfect on home ice in the playoffs up until Tuesday, and this is a very good price on the home team. 8* play on Carolina Hurricanes. |
05-16-19 | Bruins v. Hurricanes UNDER 5.5 | Top | 4-0 | Win | 100 | 11 h 4 m | Show |
TOP RATED 10* BRUINS @ CANES BEST BET The Carolina Hurricanes finally managed to shut down the Bruins offense in Game 3, but to no avail as they still lost 2-1. 10* play on UNDER. |
05-13-19 | Blues v. Sharks OVER 5.5 | Top | 4-2 | Win | 100 | 12 h 2 m | Show |
GAME OF THE YEAR (NHL): MIKE'S BEST 2019 NHL PLAYOFFS TOTAL! The first game of this series ended with a 6-3 San Jose Sharks triumph, and I think the high-scoring affair will set the tone for the rest of the series. Note that the Sharks have averaged 4.11 gpg home in the Shark Tank through their nine games in the playoffs this season while the Blues have averaged a healthy 3.14 gpg on the road. Over is 11-2 in the Sharks last 13 home at the SAP Center. Over is 7-2 in Sharks last 9 playoff games as a favorite and over is 3-0-1 in Blues last 4 playoff games as an underdog. 10* play on OVER. |
04-30-19 | Sharks v. Avalanche -120 | 4-2 | Loss | -120 | 13 h 28 m | Show
TUESDAY NIGHT SHARKS @ AVS BOOKIE BLASTER The Colorado Avalanche dropped the first game of this Western Conference second-round series but came through with a big 4-3 win in San Jose in Game 2 on Sunday night to claim home ice advantage. They're 13-3 in their last 16 home games and Colorado netminder Philipp Grubauer has stopped 62 of 66 shots home at Pepsi Center in the playoffs. Note that the Sharks won just one of three road games in their first round series with Vegas and are 2-5 in their last seven on the road. I don't see the Avs allowing the Sharks to regain the edge in front of their home fans here Tuesday night. Count on Colorado's prolific top line to lead the team to victory. 8* play on Colorado Avalanche. |
04-29-19 | Blues v. Stars -115 | Top | 4-3 | Loss | -115 | 18 h 46 m | Show |
GAME OF THE WEEK (NHL): MIKE'S BLUES @ STARS BEST BET The Dallas Stars stole home ice advantage in this playoffs series with a 4-2 win at St. Louis Saturday night. I think they'll ride the momentum of that huge win to another triumph home at American Airlines Center Monday night. The Blues' netminder Jordan Binnington has had an absolutely outstanding rookie season, but note that he posted a 2.76 GAA in three regular season meetings with Dallas. "They're a highly offensive team and they've got some skill, so they can capitalize on their chances," Binnington said. The Stars have won seven of the last nine encounters and I absolutely love the price we get on the home team in this matchup. 10* play on Dallas Stars. |
04-26-19 | Avalanche +111 v. Sharks | Top | 2-5 | Loss | -100 | 11 h 26 m | Show |
GAME OF THE MONTH (NHL): MIKE'S BEST NHL MONEYLINE BET FOR APRIL! The San Jose Sharks will host the Colorado Avalanche the opener of their best-of-seven second round playoff series Friday night. I think this looks like a great spot to back the visitors. The Sharks did not only battle back from a 3-1 deficit in the series to beat Vegas in the last round, they were also forced to come back from 3-0 down in the deciding Game 7. That contest concluded just three days ago, and I think San Jose will be both physically and mentally drained for this matchup. "I’m more worried about our emotional level than our physical," Sharks’ coach Peter DeBoer said. "You’re fighting for your life for three games in a row, that taxes you emotionally. So we’ve got to get our emotional levels back up when we come out on the ice on Friday night." The Avs, on the other hand, had little trouble to dismiss the Western Conference regular-season champions Calgary Flames in five games. They last played on April 19 so have had plenty of time to rest and prepare. 10* play on Colorado Avalanche. |
04-22-19 | Capitals v. Hurricanes -115 | 2-5 | Win | 100 | 7 h 41 m | Show
CAPS @ CANES MONDAY NIGHT MONEYLINE MASSACRE The Washington Capitals took a 3-2 series lead with Saturday night's 6-0 home victory and would close out this Eastern Conference Quarterfinals series with a win here in Raleigh Monday night. We can however note that both teams are perfect on home ice in this series, and the visiting team has yet to hold a lead in any of the five games. The Carolina Hurricanes enjoy tremendous support home at PCN Arena, something the Caps are well aware of. "They get behind their players and they play well there," Washington center Nic Dowd said. Carolina hopes to have rookie Andrei Svechnikov back in action for this contest. He has missed the last two games after getting knocked out by an Alex Ovechkin punch in Game 3. Expect the home town crowd to rally behind Svechnikov and the rest of the Hurricanes in this do-or-die matchup to carry the home team to a decisive Game 7 in Washington. 8* play on Carolina Hurricanes. |
04-20-19 | Jets v. Blues UNDER 5.5 | Top | 2-3 | Win | 100 | 6 h 55 m | Show |
GAME OF THE WEEK (NHL): MIKE'S TOP RATED TOTAL The last two games have been low-scoring affairs, and I think that will be the case once again here with the Winnipeg Jets backed into a corner down 3-2 in the series. They will want to make sure not to fall behind as that could prove devastating, and I think the Jets will come out with a very defensive approach. The St. Louis Blues will be looking to secure their spot in the Western Conference Semifinals with a win, and the gameplan is clear: "We're just staying with it," Jaden Schwartz told NHL.com after a come from behind 3-2 win in Game 5. "We believe in each other, we believe in the system, and we work as a team. When the team has success, we know that we all get rewarded. We're all playing the same, we're working hard, we're tight defensively, and the power play had a big goal to give us momentum." It certainly doesn't sound like the Blues have any intentions of turning this into a free flowing game of hockey ... Under is 9-1-2 in Blues last 12 Saturday games. Under is 12-5 in Blues last 17 games as a home favorite. 10* play on UNDER. |
04-15-19 | Flames v. Avalanche UNDER 6 | 2-6 | Loss | -116 | 24 h 11 m | Show
MONDAY NIGHT NHL PLAYOFFS TOTAL NO-BRAINER This Western Conference Quarterfinals series between the Calgary Flames and the Colorado Avalanche move to Pepsi Center with the teams all squared at 1-1. The Flames blanked the Avs in a 4-0 win in the series opener while the Avs came through with a 3-2 OT victory Saturday night. I predict another tight, low-scoring affair here in Game 3 on Monday night. Colorado has scored more than three goals in only two of its last nine games. Note that the Flames held opponents to a respectable 2.72 gpg during the regular season while allowing a league-best 28.07 shots per game.  Under is 8-2 in Flames last 10 road games. Under is 3-1-2 in Flames last 6 Conference Quarterfinals games. Under is 4-0 in Flames last 4 overall. Under is 5-0 in Avalanche last 5 Conference Quarterfinals games. Under is 8-3 in Avalanche last 11 games as a home underdog. Under is 10-3 in Avalanche last 13 overall. 8* play on UNDER. |
04-15-19 | Predators v. Stars -118 | 3-2 | Loss | -118 | 10 h 56 m | Show
MONDAY NIGHT NHL MONEYLINE MASSACRE The Dallas Stars may have entered this Western Conference Quarterfinals series with the Nashville Predators as an underdog, but they're now in command after splitting a couple of games at Bridgestone Arena. The teams will now play a couple of games at American Airlines Center, and I like the price we get on the Stars to claim Game 3 in front of the home town crowd. "It's a seven-game series. We came into Nashville wanting to get one, wanting to steal one on the road," Dallas center Tyler Seguin said. "We did that. We're excited to get home and play in front of our fans." Nashville won Game 2 of the series 2-1, but it could have been a different story if the Stars had been more effective on the man advantage. They failed to convert on six power play opportunities, but that's not very likely to happen again. 8* play on Dallas Stars. |
04-14-19 | Lightning -133 v. Blue Jackets | Top | 1-3 | Loss | -133 | 9 h 39 m | Show |
GAME OF THE WEEK (NHL): MAJOR WAGER ALERT ON THE ICE The Tampa Bay Lightning dominated the regular season but have their backs against the wall just two games into the first round of the NHL playoffs following a pair of home losses to the Columbus Blue Jackets. "We’re in a tough position, but we’re not going to quit," Tampa Bay captain Steven Stamkos told reporters. "We’ve got to take a page out of their book and go on the road and win a hockey game. We just got to focus on Game 3. … It’s not from lack of effort, guys are working hard, we’re just not working smart enough. They’re executing their game plan a lot better than we’re executing ours." The Lightning had won six straight meetings with the Jackets heading into this series and are 6-1 in the last seven meetings at Nationwide Arena. No reason to overthink this one; let's back the best team in the hockey in what can only be described as do-or-die situation. 10* play on Tampa Bay Lightning. |
04-10-19 | Blues +104 v. Jets | 2-1 | Win | 104 | 9 h 31 m | Show
NHL PLAYOFFS WEDNESDAY NIGHT MONEYLINE MASSACRE The St. Louis Blues closed out the regular season on fire with eight wins through their last 10 games, including triumphs over elite teams like Tampa Bay Lightning and Vegas Golden Knights. "We've been playing playoff hockey for a long time now just to clinch and get in," Blues forward Brayden Schenn told NHL.com. "This group has come a long way, come together. We're enjoying playing for one another right now. Obviously winning makes it a whole lot easier now. We feel like we've got a good team in here and hoping to go on a run in the playoffs." Here they'll take on a Winnipeg Jets team that stumbled down the stretch, posting 2-4-1 mark to finish the season. It has lost four or its last five as a favorite and the road team is 5-1 in the last six head-to-head matchups between these two teams. As for the goaltenders; Blues' rookie netminder Jordan Binnington is 24-5-1 with a 1.89 GAA on the season while Jets' Connor Hellebuyck went 2-3-1 through his final six games. I think we're getting a great price on the team with all momentum and the hotter goaltender. 8* play on St. Louis Blues. |
04-06-19 | Jets -118 v. Coyotes | Top | 4-2 | Win | 100 | 21 h 52 m | Show |
GAME OF THE YEAR (NHL): MIKE'S TOP RATED REG SEASON MONEYLINE The Winnipeg Jets are just 2-5-1 through their last 10 games, but I like the price we get on the visitors here at Gila River Arena Saturday night as they enter the last day of the regular season fighting Nashville and San Jose for the division title. The Arizona Coyotes have also stumbled down the stretch, losing seven of their last 10 games. They got eliminated from playoff contention as recently as a couple of days ago and I doubt the Yotes can muster up all that much motivation for this contest. The Jets are 17-5 in their last 22 games as a road favorite of -110 to -150 and I expect the Jets to flex their muscle here to try and and the division title. 10* play on Winnipeg Jets. |
04-02-19 | Penguins v. Red Wings +1.5 | 1-4 | Win | 100 | 8 h 41 m | Show
TUESDAY NIGHT NHL PUCKLINE PUNISHER The Detroit Red Wings won't be anywhere near the playoffs, but that has not stopped them from going on a nice run down the stretch. They've won seven of their last eight and enter this contest on a five-game winning streak. The Red Wings closed as sizable underdogs in all but one of those games and put a 6-3 beating on Boston as a +185 dog on Sunday to make it 15 goals scored through their last three games. I like the price we get on Detroit to keep it close here against a Pittsburgh Penguins team that has all but clinched a playoff spot already, sitting sixth in the East with ninth-placed Montreal five points back and only three games to go. We can also note that Pens netminder Matt Murray is 1-3 with a 3.55 GAA in previous meetings with Detroit. The home team is 20-8 in the last 28 meetings in the series. 8* play on Detroit Red Wings. |
03-27-19 | Stars v. Flames -160 | 2-1 | Loss | -160 | 13 h 7 m | Show
WEDNESDAY NIGHT NHL MONEYLINE MASSACRE The Western Conference-leading Calgary Flames will be looking to bounce back from a 3-0 loss to Los Angeles on Monday. Quite a shocking result considering that the Flames closed as a -335 favorite and had won five straight home at Scotiabank Saddledome prior to that contest. "We just didn't get to their net," Flames captain Mark Giordano said. "It was one of those nights. We knew they were going to come in and play a really structured game defensively, and that's what they did. They really pack it in, and it was hard to get inside them. We had a lot of shots, but we didn't have enough second and third opportunities." They've still won six of their last eight games overall and I think the Flames will be well up for this matchup with the Dallas Stars. The Stars are just 15-37 in their last 52 games as a road underdog of +110 to +150 and they've won just two of their last six games overall. 8* play on the Calgary Flames. |
03-26-19 | Blackhawks v. Coyotes -125 | Top | 0-1 | Win | 100 | 12 h 4 m | Show |
GAME OF THE WEEK (NHL): MIKE'S TOP RATED MONEYLINE The Chicago Blackhawks managed to stay in the playoff picture as they snapped a three-game skid with a 2-1 OT win over the Colorado Avalanche on Sunday. They're still five points back with seven games to go and would not only have to leapfrog the Avs, but also Minnesota and Arizona who trails Colorado by just two points. The Arizona Coyotes are coming off an 0-3-1 road trip and took a 2-0 loss Sunday against the host New York Islanders, despite out-shooting their opponent 31-26. "I thought we played our hearts out in this game," Coyotes defenseman Jason Demers told NHL.com. "We battled. Obviously back-to-back (games) on the road is always tough, but I thought we weathered the storm in the first, and I thought in the second and the third we kind of took over the game. Their goalie made some big saves ... but our guys didn't quit until the end. That's what we've got to take from that game. We've just got to dust ourselves off and get back at it." The Yotes must feel good about returning back home to Gila River Arena as they're 8-2 in their last 10 home games vs. a team with a losing road record and will host a Blackhawks side that is 16-18-3 away from home on the season. 10* play on Arizona Coyotes. |
03-24-19 | Avalanche +107 v. Blackhawks | Top | 1-2 | Loss | -100 | 11 h 46 m | Show |
GAME OF THE WEEK (NHL): MIKE'S TOP RATED MONEYLINE The Colorado Avalanche are riding a four-game winning streak, the most recent victory a 4-2 triumph over the Blackhawks on Saturday. I think they'll complete the home-and-home sweep when visting Chicago here the following night. The Hawks are losers of three straight and have faded since a strong late-season push put them back in the playoff race. They enter this contest six games back of the Avs who currently hold down the last playoff spot in the Western Conference with Arizona and Minnesota just one point behind. The Blackhawks have not scored more than two goals in any of their last four games and have converted on just one of their last 24 opportunities to play with the man advantage while the Avs have allowed just four goals through their winning streak.  You'll hear it's tough to sweep a home-and-home series, but at this price I think it's a no-brainer play on a hyper motivated Avs team. 10* play on Colorado Avalanche. |
03-23-19 | Flames v. Canucks +1.5 | 3-1 | Loss | -164 | 10 h 58 m | Show
SATURDAY NIGHT PUCKLINE PUNISHER The Vancouver Canucks have played some decent hockey lately, winning four of their last five games including massive upset wins at Dallas (+190) and Chicago (+200). Three of their last four games have gone past regulation, and I think this is a good spot to back the Nucks on the puckline. Sure, they will face a red hot Calgary Flames side that has won five of its last six, but keep in mind that the home team is 11-4 in the last 15 meetings. We can also note that Vancouver (somehow) still is in the playoff picture entering Saturday just four points shy of a postseason berth. "It's just crazy," center Bo Horvat told reporters, referring to the team's renewed playoff contention. "It just shows you never know what can happen. Down the stretch here we have been playing some good hockey. We're just going to keep plugging away and try and make a run for it. We're playing good hockey. We just have to keep it up." 8* play on Vancouver Canucks. |
03-17-19 | Devils v. Avalanche UNDER 6.5 | Top | 0-3 | Win | 100 | 14 h 19 m | Show |
GAME OF THE MONTH (NHL): MIKE'S TOP RATED 10* TOTAL The Colorado Avalanche host the New Jersey Devils at Pepsi Center Sunday afternoon. The Avs are trying to hold on to their ever-slimming postseason hopes but have dropped three of their last four games and been shut out twice during that stretch. "We have to win hockey games. We can't keep letting games slip away," Colorado defenseman Ian Cole said after the most recent loss. "Not only do you have to beat the teams that we should beat, which I guess at this point is up in the air, but we need to win games, and that's really all there is to it." I think the Avs will come out playing tight defense to make sure they don't fall behind, leading to a low-scoring matchup with a New Jersey team that had scored just 11 goals through an 0-6-1 slide before coming up with back-to-back wins at Edmonton and Vancouver. Under is 19-6-5 in the last 30 meetings overall and 4-0-1 in the last five meetings in Colorado. 10* play on UNDER. |
03-15-19 | Hurricanes v. Blue Jackets -125 | 0-3 | Win | 100 | 8 h 38 m | Show
FRIDAY NIGHT NHL MONEYLINE MASSACRE The Columbus Blue Jackets look like a solid home favorite here against the Carolina Hurricanes Friday night. The Canes are in a letdown spot following back-to-back road wins at Nashville and Colorado. This will be the finale of a three-game road trip and odds are they're already looking ahead to their upcoming four-game homestand. Columbus on the other hand will play its last home game before heading out on a four-game trek. It must make the most of home-ice advantage here to keep pace in the tight Eastern Conference playoff race. The Canes have been red hot on the road since the All Star break, but I think they'll come up short here. 8* play on Columbus Blue Jackets. |
