10-12-17 | Texas State v. UL-Lafayette -13.5 | 7-24 | Win | 100 | 8 h 7 m | Show
Jeff Allen's Thursday Night College Blue Chip is on UL Lafayette The Cajuns have dominated the series with the Bobcats since Texas State entered the SBC going 4-0 SU and ATS with all four wins by 22+ points. That doesn't figure to change here as the Cats struggle to score points, especially on the road where they've been beaten 37-3 and 45-0 outside of Texas. ULL rolls to a big win here. |
10-11-17 | South Alabama v. Troy UNDER 50 | 19-8 | Win | 100 | 16 h 22 m | Show
Jeff Allen's Wednesday Night College Blue Chip is on SAU/Troy Under While both these teams played pretty tough non-conference schedules, neither team is overly blessed offensively as neither averages more than 24 ppg. Troy is ranked No.31 in the FBS and has already beaten the likes of LSU. Throw out South Alabama's games against Ole Miss, Okie State, and Alabama and the two games against their own kind produced 52 and 50 points. Troy is 5-0 to the Under this year, SAU 4-1 low. Points will be tough to come by here. Play the Under. |
10-09-17 | Vikings -3.5 v. Bears | 20-17 | Loss | -105 | 11 h 44 m | Show
Jeff Allen's Monday Night Mayhem is on the Minnesota Vikings The Vikes get a boost with Sam Bradford reportedly active and expecting to start. He should be able to do some business against a shaky Bear secondary that has been picked on at times. Chitown leading tackler Dan Trevathan out two games for "Blow to the head" suspension. Even with Keenum, Vikes a solid team, 7th in total offense and 9th in total defense but now that top pick Dalvin Cook is out for the year, better to have Bradford who does not turn the ball over and can manage a game. Vikes with 29 and 34 points in wins, 9 and 7 points in losses. Look for Bradford to really attack the red zone tonight at Soldier Field. |
10-08-17 | Chiefs v. Texans +1.5 | 42-34 | Loss | -115 | 17 h 14 m | Show
Jeff Allen's Sunday Night Football Triple Play is on he Houston Texans The Chiefs are not in a great spot on the short work week from Monday night plus the travel. They've played great and are the league's last unbeaten but ... they find a Houston Texan team here that is brimming with confidence after turning over the reigns to Deshaun Watson. The rookie from Clemson has directed the offense to 90 points the last two weeks. The Texan defense is getting better every week and this is basically the same outfit that beat the Chiefs 19-12 in Week Two last year. Right back. |
10-08-17 | Seahawks +1.5 v. Rams | 16-10 | Win | 100 | 13 h 58 m | Show
Jeff Allen's Week Five NFL Dog Bite is on the Seattle Seahawks Russell Wilson has the Seahawk offense humming with 8 touchdowns over their L23 drives. The defense is finally getting in sync and will be fringing the heat on Goff and Co. The Rams are leading the league in scoring bit haven't faced the likes of what they'll see here today. The Rams are favored over the Seahawks for just the 4th time in 27 meetings. Don't drink the Kool-Aid. Seattle 30-23. |
10-08-17 | Panthers v. Lions -2.5 | 27-24 | Loss | -103 | 10 h 55 m | Show
Jeff Allen's NFC Insider is on the Detroit Lions The Panthers are 9-1 L10 as road dogs and the Lions are 12-4-3 as home faves under Caldwell so something has to give. Despite upsetting the Pats last week, Carolina has allowed 7 TDs in their opponents last 19 drives and have gained more than 288 yards of total offense just once. Lions are +9 already in the turnover department and will have something cooking for turnover machine Cam Newton. Detroit by 10. |
10-08-17 | 49ers +2 v. Colts | 23-26 | Loss | -110 | 9 h 16 m | Show
Jeff Allen's 49ers/Colts Early Game Spectacular is on the San Francisco 49ers San Francisco has been knocking on the door the last three weeks (losses of 3-2-3) and this week they are ready to kick that door down. The 49ers offense should do some business against s stop unit that completely melted down in the Indy meltdown at Seattle. This is the first time that Indy has been favored this year and they are just 5-7 in that roll over the L3 years. Fading the Colts when getting points against a desperate NFC team looking for first win. San Fran 16-13 straight up. |
10-07-17 | Michigan State v. Michigan UNDER 40 | 14-10 | Win | 100 | 43 h 16 m | Show
Jeff Allen's College Football Total of the Week is on Michigan State/Michigan Under Both teams play big-time defense and both teams have pillow fight offenses. Michigan State has scored just 35 combined points in its last two but allowed a pretty good Iowa team just 231 yards total offense in last week's win. Michigan has allowed just 54 total points in four games but is offensively challenged like Sparty. O'Korn might be an improvement over Speight but this one just figures to be a good old-fashioned Big Ten Slobberknocker. Play the Under. |
10-07-17 | Virginia Tech -16.5 v. Boston College | 23-10 | Loss | -110 | 56 h 32 m | Show
Jeff Allen's ACC Lock of the Month is on the Virginia Tech Hokies Boston College is 2-0 vs. the MAC but is already 0-2 in the conference having been outscored 68-17. Not sure why Chestnut Hill made V Tech the homecoming game as the Eagles have scored just 10 combined points and gained just 343 total yards in the last two meetings. The Gobblers will be in a bad mood after getting spanked by Clemson last week. Last year, Virginia Tech lost to Tennessee and beat the Eagles 49-0 the following week. Tech wins big. |
10-07-17 | Minnesota v. Purdue -4 | 17-31 | Win | 100 | 39 h 46 m | Show
Jeff Allen's Big Ten Game of the Week is on the Purdue Boilermakers Minnesota was exposed last week by Maryland and its third-string quarterback. The Terps moved the ball at will against a Gopher defense that had shut down lesser. Purdue is very attractive off a by allowing Brohm to more finally this much-improved outfit. in their two wins, the Boilers rushed for 253 and 205 yards against Ohio and Missouri which is more or less what the Boilers see here. A new culture in Lafayette has seen the homies cover last four as favorites. |
10-07-17 | West Virginia v. TCU -13 | 24-31 | Loss | -110 | 39 h 51 m | Show
Jeff Allen's West Virginia/TCU Showdown in the Big 12 West Virginia scores a lot of points with their Florida transfer gunslinger quarterback but can't seem to stop anyone which includes lowly Kansas who ran the ball for 367 yards against the Mountaineers last week. That won't cut it against a TCU team that has scored 100 points on offense in its last two games and held Mason Rudolph and Okie State to all season lows in winning that showdown two weeks ago. TCU is for real and proves it again here. |
10-06-17 | Memphis v. Connecticut OVER 72 | 70-31 | Win | 100 | 19 h 56 m | Show
Jeff Allen's Friday College Football Appetizer is on Memphis/UConn Over Don't expect much defense to be played here. Memphis gave up 250+ rushing yards to Central Florida in its first road game last week and has given up 29+ to all four opponents including an FCS school. UConn has allowed 128 points to its three FBS opponents. Memphis averaging 35.5 ppg. but also fields the No.126 ranked defense. Play the Over. |
10-05-17 | Patriots -5 v. Bucs | 19-14 | Push | 0 | 10 h 53 m | Show
Jeff Allen's Thursday Night Triple Play is on New England The Patriots are ranked first on offense and last on defense, a problem that has been creeping up on them for years. The Buccs are very solvable. If the Bucs run for 100+ yards, they win. When they run for 26 yards like they did against the Vikings, the results have not been good. Tampa Bay has not forced any turnovers the last two games and is just 4-for17 on third down in those games. Who better than to coach a team up on the road during a short work week than The Hoodie. New England by 10. |
10-04-17 | Arkansas State -7 v. Georgia Southern | 43-25 | Win | 100 | 16 h 39 m | Show
Jeff Allen's Wednesday Night NCAAF Blue Chip is on the Arkansas State Red Wolves Arkansas State has shared in or won outright four the last five Sunbelt titles so they no what up after collecting game checks against Nebraska and SMU. Their non-conference schedule in prior years has been much tougher but ... the Red Wolves should be ready to go here after vs. an opponent that is 0-3 and lost 22-12 to FCS New Hampshire. Ark State will be very focused and very dialed in as they only beat the Eagles 27-26 last year. Two different levels of Sunbelt here. Take Arkansas State. |
10-02-17 | Redskins v. Chiefs UNDER 49 | 20-29 | Push | 0 | 9 h 59 m | Show
Jeff Allen's Monday Night Mayhem Super Total is on the Redskins/Chiefs Under The Chiefs are the only unbeaten left in the NFL and we are just finishing Week IV. Both teams are very run oriented to set up the pass, the Redskin ground attack No.7, the Chiefs lead the league rushing the football thanks to super rook Kareem Hunt. Jay Gruden doesn't have the big play wideouts he's had the past two years and Andy Reid is ultra-conservative by nature so expect a vanilla type game with a lot of football between the 20's and time-consuming drives. The Under is the way to go. |
10-01-17 | Colts v. Seahawks -13 | 18-46 | Win | 100 | 24 h 21 m | Show
Jeff Allen's Sunday NFL Sunday Super Saver is on the Seattle Seahawks The Colts Jacoby Brissett makes the fourth start of his career and his first road start at one of the loudest and toughest venues of the league. Carroll is 26-16 as a road fave here and 8-3 when laying double-digits. Seattle has recently been a slow starter but as we all know, they finish and a breakout win over the Colts might set that in motion here in 2017. |
10-01-17 | Raiders v. Broncos UNDER 46 | Top | 10-16 | Win | 100 | 21 h 35 m | Show |
Jeff Allen's NFL Totals Platinum release is on the Raiders/Broncos Under The Raiders stink the place up last Sunday when they managed just 128 yards of total offense against the Redskins. Oakland failed to get the run game going and will find thing even tougher against Bronco squad allowing just 59.7 ypg. overland for the year. Points have been tough to come by in the series as three of the last four have stayed under including both (24-6, 15-12 points) of the games played here. Points will be harder to come by here. ... and the group, which knows how to |
10-01-17 | Giants +3 v. Bucs | 23-25 | Win | 100 | 20 h 50 m | Show
Jeff Allen's Week Four NFL Dog Pound Play is on the NY Giants Neither team has broken through offensively yet but, the G-Men had a big second half when they decided to throw just about everly play. Bucs secondary full of mistakes and injuries and facing an Eli who to this point is quite capable of picking Tampa Bay apart with any kind of time to throw. Bucs just 3-8 ATS L11 as home favorites and Famous Jameis will be under heat all day long. Giants 23-17. |
10-01-17 | Panthers v. Patriots -9 | 33-30 | Loss | -100 | 17 h 49 m | Show
Jeff Allen's Sunday NFL Champagne Brunch is on the New England Patriots Game write up to follow |
09-30-17 | California v. Oregon -15 | 24-45 | Win | 100 | 24 h 17 m | Show
Jeff Allen's Saturday CFB Triple Play winner is on the Oregon Ducks Reports have the Quack Attack tasting a Willie Taggert hell week after giving up 459 yards in a loss at Arizona State last week. Cal was fortunate it didn't lose by three scores more vs. USC after turning the ball over six times. Ex-Duck Wilcox doing a nice job changing the culture at Berkley but the Bears are in the wrong place at the wrong time vs. what figure to be a very motivated Oregon team. |
09-30-17 | San Jose State v. UNLV -14 | 13-41 | Win | 100 | 24 h 3 m | Show
Jeff Allen's Late Show Bail Out Special is on the UNLV Rebels This is the next "most important" game in UNLV history. Rebs lost straight up four weeks ago to Howard on this field as record-breaking 44-point favorites. UNLV is 1-8 L9 as double-digit chalk and hasn't beaten San Jose State in 25 years. Like the Rebel team that despite getting whupped by Ohio State, never quit and played hard. Rebs a top 20 rushing team in the country and should grind down and a Spartan squad that hasn't stopped anyone all year. UNLV 45-17. |
09-30-17 | Florida State v. Wake Forest OVER 47.5 | 26-19 | Loss | -110 | 18 h 36 m | Show
Jeff Allen's Saturday CFB Triple Play winner is on Wake/Florida State Game write up to follow |
09-30-17 | Navy -8 v. Tulsa | 31-21 | Win | 100 | 18 h 33 m | Show
Jeff Allen's College Football Conference Game of the Month is on the Navy Midshipmen Navy rushed for 569 yards against Cincinnati last week. Tulsa gave up 338 yards rushing to a less effective New Mexico squad last week. The Lobos didn't visit the end zone very often but prefer Middie finishers that get to paydirt more often than not. Navy TOP also keeps potent Golden Hurricane offense off the field which will help the final margin. Navy 49-23. |
09-30-17 | Central Michigan v. Boston College -10 | 8-28 | Win | 100 | 15 h 39 m | Show
Jeff Allen's Saturday CFB Triple Play winner is on the Boston College Eagles Boston College doesn't have the same steel trap defense we've grown accustomed to the last few years but it was at its best for three-quarters as the Eagles had Clemson 7-7 in the fourth before collapsing late. Boston College is 17-0 (11-5-1 ATS) all-time against the MAC conference and faces a CMU outfit that is playing its third road game in four weeks. Boston College 31-13. |
09-30-17 | Vanderbilt v. Florida UNDER 40.5 | 24-38 | Loss | -110 | 14 h 36 m | Show
Jeff Allen's SEC TOTAL of the Year is on Vandy/Florida Under After giving up just 13 points in its first three games, Vandy was spanked by a Bama team that gave no quarter after feeling disrespected. The Commodore won't have to worry about this Gator outfit (No.113 in the FBS) dropping 59 on them anytime soon. Vandy themselves a ground and pound outfit that doesn't have much in the way of fast strike capabilities. The last two years have been Florida 13-6 and 9-7. Expect more of the same here. |
09-29-17 | Nebraska -5.5 v. Illinois | 28-6 | Win | 100 | 9 h 22 m | Show
The Back End of Jeff Allen's Friday Night Lock Parlay is on the Nebraska Cornhuskers The Huskers are starting to get its house back in order after a slow start. Nebraska gets the perfect cure against an Illinois team that is solid defensively but does not offer up much offensively. The Fighting Illini are just 3-8 L11 as a single-digit dog and 2-6 under Lovie as a home dog. Nebraska was down 42-14 at half in their only road games this year at Oregon. Nebraska faces nothing like that here and should come away with a 27-17 type of ten-point win. |
09-29-17 | Miami-FL v. Duke +7 | 31-6 | Loss | -120 | 8 h 18 m | Show
The Front End of Jeff Allen's Friday Night Lock Parlay is on the Duke Blue Devils Duke has stepped up to play its best football against the better competition, blowing out Northwestern and taking control over its rivalry game with North Carolina in latest. Even the win against Baylor is starting to look better as the Bears straighten themselves out. Too many points against a stingy Duke defense against the run and against a Blue Devil offense that has an excellent vertical passing game and faces a secondary here that gave up 355 years in the air to Toledo. Duke has payback on this team in so many ways ... straight up. |
09-28-17 | Bears v. Packers OVER 44.5 | 14-35 | Win | 100 | 10 h 15 m | Show
Jeff Allen's TNF Super Play is on the Bears/Packers Over This is a good spot for the Packers who likely won't get off to the bad start that they did last week against the Bengals and do some things against a team they've dominated for close to a decade. Look for Rodgers to come out throwing here as a way to establish the run. The Packers won't have to do all the heavy lifting here either as the Bears will have some success running the ball against an injury-riddled Packer defense. Injuries to both squads turns this into a shootout, play the Over.
09-25-17 | Cowboys v. Cardinals UNDER 47 | 28-17 | Win | 100 | 9 h 60 m | Show
Jeff Allen Monday Night Mayhem is on the Cowboys/Cards Under Dak is a little beat up with a bad ankle and the Pokes are off a terrible all-around effort at Denver in Week II. Zeke is off a career-low game of just 8 yards in 9 carries so getting the run game established is going to be a top priority. that might not be that easy against a Cardinal defense allowing just 79 ypg. overland. Arizona has just three touchdowns (5 turnovers) in 24 drives this year and Carson Palmer has been terrible and stud RB David Johnson is out 12 weeks with wrist surgery. Dallas is 13-4 in its L17 road games, Arizona is 11-6 low in its L17 home games. Both teams need wins here and this could be a case of lots of football between the 20s. Play the under. |
09-24-17 | Raiders -3 v. Redskins | 10-27 | Loss | -100 | 20 h 0 m | Show
Jeff Allen's Raiders/Redskins Sunday Night Super Lock is on the Oakland Raiders The Raiders have looked like killers in their first two games, double-digit wins over the Titans and Jets. Carr hasn't missed a beat since returning from his fractured fibula, orchustraing nine TDs in 19 drives and getting points in five others. The Oakland secondary is much improved and this new stop unit really flies to the ball and tackles. RayDas 4-1 as road faves under Del Rio. 5-1 after they make Washington their third double-digit victim. |
09-24-17 | Chiefs -145 v. Chargers | 24-10 | Win | 100 | 16 h 50 m | Show
Jeff Allen's NFL Divisional Game of the Month winner is on the Kansas City Chiefs While the Chiefs find ways to win during the regular season, the Chargers just seem to find ways to lose. The Bolts are already 0-2 thanks to a brutal kicking game that missed short FGs in the final minute that would have had the Chargers 2-0. As it is now, LAC is 0-6-1 ATS L7 overall and 2-6 L8 as a home dog. Alex Smith should be able to make things happen for the Chiefs who are 11-2 as a road fave under Reid and 10-2 ATS in AFC West road games the last four years. |
09-24-17 | Falcons v. Lions +3 | 30-26 | Loss | -105 | 12 h 28 m | Show
Jeff Allen's Week III NFL Upset Shocker is on the Detroit Lions Everything is great in the Motor City. Mathew Stafford is now the highest paid QB in the league and HC Jim Caldwell just got a new extension on Friday. Short week for the Lions who have scored a defensive touchdown or special teams touchdown or both in each of their first two games. The Falcons are just 4-4 L8 as road favorites and were life and death to beat the Bears at Soldier Field in their road opener. Nobody has more fourth-quarter comebacks in the last three years than the Lions and with Stafford, the back door is always open. Lions straight up. |
09-24-17 | Browns v. Colts UNDER 42.5 | 28-31 | Loss | -110 | 12 h 19 m | Show
Jeff Allen's NFL Total of the Week is on the Browns and Colts Under These game features a match up of two very inept offenses that happen to have serviceable defenses. The Browns are 5-24 on third down this year. The Colts have scores 22 total points in two games with just two touchdowns in 25 drives with 13 three-and-outs. In four of the last series games played between these two, 30 points or less were scored four times. The first one to 17 wins and this one is going under. |
09-23-17 | UTEP v. New Mexico State -20 | 14-41 | Win | 100 | 51 h 48 m | Show
Jeff Allen's Saturday Late Bail-Out winner is on New Mexico State Doug Martin has done a real nice job with the Aggies this year bringing in a ton of JUCO talent in an effort to save his job. It's translated to just one win but the Aggies are exciting and in every game including a 6-point loss at Arizona State. Most importantly to us is that NMSU is 3-0 ATS and has a team they can hammer tonight in UTEP. The Miners might very well be the worst team in the FBS and are bottom five of 130 in every significant capping matrix. Wouldn't lay 20 with a team that has won just 11 games over the last five years but in this spot, it is more than justified. |
09-23-17 | Nevada v. Washington State OVER 67 | 7-45 | Loss | -115 | 49 h 58 m | Show
Jeff Allen's College Football Double Best Bet Super Total is on Nevada/Wash State Over Mike Leach has the Coogs humming early and the offense hasn't even gotten into gear yet. Luke Falk had six TD passes against Oregon State last week and is really just getting warmed up. He should be able to do just about anything he wants against a Nevada secondary that is allowing 284 ypg. through the air and opposing quarterbacks a 64% completion rate. Wazzou has USC on deck but thinking that Leach will keep his foot on the pedal in this fourth straight home game and final tightner before playing the teeth of Pac-12 schedule. |
09-23-17 | Rutgers +12.5 v. Nebraska | 17-27 | Win | 100 | 47 h 34 m | Show
JEFF ALLEN'S COLLEGE FOOTBALL UPSET SHOCKER OF THE YEAR is on the Rutgers Scarlet Knights |
09-23-17 | Wake Forest -5 v. Appalachian State | 20-19 | Loss | -110 | 46 h 21 m | Show
Jeff Allen's Lock Parlay winner is on Wake Forest The Deacs have been the surprise of the SEC and are for real. Love teams that take care of business against the teams they are supposed to beat and especially love teams that take care of their business on the road where the Deacs are on a 9-1 L10 ATS run. App State could be down this year as they were beaten in every way but on the scoreboard by Texas State in their most recent. Wake has Florida State and Clemson on deck so this game will be a priority. |
09-23-17 | Alabama -18.5 v. Vanderbilt | 59-0 | Win | 100 | 46 h 20 m | Show
Jeff Allen's Lock Parlay winner is on Alabama Vandy is getting a lot of love with its 3-0 start and a defense that has allowed just 13 points. The win over Kansas State was nice but the Wildcats are not Alabama who is off scrimmages vs. Fresno State and Colorado State. If the Commodores had lost its game with K State this number would likely be a full touchdown more so willing to lay the wood with the Tide in what figures to be a good old-fashioned SEC slobber knocker. Bama 34-10. |
09-22-17 | Utah -3.5 v. Arizona | 30-24 | Win | 100 | 30 h 31 m | Show
Jeff Allen Friday Night Pac-12 Super Lock is on the Utah Running Utes Utah plays the same stone wall defense, runs the ball with power run game, this year can throw it around with QB Tyler Huntley who last week became the first Ute signal caller to throw for 300 yards in B2B games since 2008. Arizona and Rich Rod are delaying the inevitable as he won't be back next year. Crush shot win over UTEP was nice but the Miners are basically a bad FCS team. Arizona just 17-35 ATS at home L52 with Rich Rod. Utah 34-13. |
09-21-17 | Rams v. 49ers UNDER 39.5 | 41-39 | Loss | -105 | 10 h 32 m | Show
JEFF ALLEN'S RAMS/49ers THURSDAY NFL LOCK TOTAL is on the Rams/49ers Under The 49ers understandably had difficulty moving the ball against the Seahawks and Panthers but just four FGs in 23 total drives is below and beyond the call of duty. The 49er defense did play well, keeping San Fran in both games. Can't put much stock in either of the Ram games this year but know that the 49ers will look to run the ball against a team that gave up 229 on the ground to the Redskins. The Under is 16-7-1 the last three years in L.A. road games and that looks to be the way to go here. |
09-21-17 | Temple v. South Florida -19.5 | 7-43 | Win | 100 | 9 h 14 m | Show
Jeff Allen's Thursday College Blue Chip release is on South Florida South Florida appeared to be more interested in last week in their blowout of Illinois and will be especially interested her vs. a team that spanked them last year in Philly. Temple was the AAC champ last year but the coaching staff flew the coup and the roster was hit hard by graduation. The 2-1 Owls allowed 400+ yards on the ground top the only real team that they've played (Notre Dame) and tonight they face a ground attack that had three different 100-yard rushers against a better Illini defense. The Bulls can run the regular season table and it starts with a win here tonight. South Florida 54-17. |
09-18-17 | Lions v. Giants UNDER 42.5 | 24-10 | Win | 100 | 10 h 52 m | Show
Jeff Allen's Monday Night Mayhem is on the Lions/Giants Under The Lion defense was pretty good against a similar Arizona team in their opener. The Cardinals scored 23 points but 14 came by way of a Carson Palmer pick six and the other seven on a garbage time touchdown in the final minute. With or without Beckham, the Giants are a nightmare on offense with arguably the worst OL in the NFL that can't run block or protect Eli long enough to throw the ball down field which is his strength. The Big Blue defense is tough but often compromised by being left on the field forever. G-Men 4-1 in L5 five home openers but did so still averaging just 18 ppg., the Under 4-1. Play the Under here. Bonus Teaser: Lions and Under |
09-17-17 | Redskins v. Rams -2.5 | 27-20 | Loss | -120 | 30 h 48 m | Show
Jeff Allen's NFL Week Two Personal Best is on the Los Angeles Rams The Rams did some nice things in their blowout win over the Colts. Granted it as a Colts but the offense is starting to come around and the defense is solid after new HC McVey made the best assistant hire of the offseason in grabbing Wade Phillips. Trends and past history are all Skins here but they for the most part inapplicable here as these are not the Rams under Jeff Fisher and Cousins has none of the weapons that allowed him some measure of success the last two years. Rams also get back one of the league's best defensive players to bring additional heat. Rams by 10. |
09-17-17 | Cowboys v. Broncos OVER 42 | 17-42 | Win | 100 | 29 h 30 m | Show
Jeff Allen's Blue Chip NFL Total is on the Cowboys/Broncos Over Dallas dodged a bullet with Zeke able to play and giving Dak his full compliment of weapons in his sophomore season. The running game will loosen up the Bronco defense and allow the passing game to hit on all cylinders. On the other side, Simien should be able to have success against a suspect Dallas secondary that is already battling the injury bug. As the Cowboys start to wear down in the altitude, look for this one to become a shootout. |
09-17-17 | Patriots -6 v. Saints | 36-20 | Win | 100 | 19 h 41 m | Show
Jeff Allen's NFL Week Two Road Warrior is on the New England Patriots Since 2003, the Pats have lost 48 under Belichick. In the next game, they are 41-7 straight up and have covered over 70% of those games. Both teams suffering somewhat from injuries with New Orleans by far having the worst of it losing both starting offensive tackles and having lone downfield threat Willie Snead serving the second game of a three-game suspension. Just a bad overall spot for the Saints as the Pats have extra time to prepare after traditional Thursday night opener while Whodats return home banged up after Monday night roadie. New England 38-23. |
09-17-17 | Browns v. Ravens -7.5 | 10-24 | Win | 100 | 18 h 19 m | Show
Jeff Allen's Conference Game of the Month is on the Baltimore Ravens There is no doubt that the Brown play hard but despite playing Pitt close in the opener they were 3-17 on third down and had a punt blocked. Kizer makes his first road start after getting sacked seven times by the Steelers and faces a tough Raven defense that held the Bengals to 221 yards of total offense and created five turnovers. Cleveland is 1-15 SU L16 road games (6-10 ATS), have lost five straight road openers and 10 of 11 openers overall, and are 1-8 in L9 trips to Baltimore. The Ravens are not much on offense but if Flacco can generate 20 points here and defense plays its usual stingy game, the Raven should not have much trouble covering the seven and a hook here. |
09-16-17 | Ole Miss v. California OVER 72 | 16-27 | Loss | -110 | 100 h 44 m | Show
Jeff Allen's Val/Ole Miss Late Show Bail Out is on the OVER For Ole Miss, this is just the second trip in school history to the PST, the first was in 2011 when the Rebs rolled Fresno State. Reb QB Patterson broke the school record with 489 passing yards last week and looks to be next in a long line of Ole Miss gunslingers. Cal was supposed to be a Pac-12 doormat but has opened 2-0 with a very nice win at North Carolina. Both teams have sketchy defenses at best and it's the first one to 45 that gets the win in this score fest. |
09-16-17 | Cincinnati v. Miami-OH UNDER 45.5 | 21-17 | Win | 100 | 97 h 7 m | Show
Jeff Allen's Trifecta of College Football winners is on Cinn/Miami Oh Under In two games against Austin Peay and Michigan, the Cincinnati Bearcats have been able to generate just 448 yards of total offense. The Cats are averaging less than three yards a rush and face a Miami, Oh team that just held Marshall to 59 yards on 25 carries. The Red Hawks are no offensive juggernaut and tech after applicable tech has this game going under the total. |
09-16-17 | Kentucky v. South Carolina -6 | 23-13 | Loss | -110 | 97 h 47 m | Show
Jeff Allen's NCAAF Conference Revenge Triple Play is on the South Carolina Gamecocks This is a big triple revenge spot for a South Carolina team that is on the rise behind soph gunslinger Jake Bentley. The Gamecock wins need to be deemed upsets only in the fact that they were dogs in the game. The fact is that they are +4 in turnovers and have two KO returns for touchdowns backed by a bend but don't break defense and Bentley. Kentucky was extremely unimpressive in opening win (non-covers) and has done almost nothing on offense and sends out a defense that doesn't tackle well and is suspect in the secondary. South Carolina 33-17. |
09-16-17 | Appalachian State -24 v. Texas State | 20-13 | Loss | -110 | 123 h 6 m | Show
Jeff Allen's Under the Radar Bully Beat Down is on the Appalachian State Mountaineers App State regrouped after a tough first half against Georgia to play the Bulldogs tough the rest of the way. Last week the Mounties tuned up with a blowout win over Savannah State that saw the reserves play the entire second half meaning the entire ASU team should be well rested and razor sharp. App State (-31) won this game last year 35-10 with field general Taylor Lamb throwing for four TDs in his 15 completions while to Mountaineer backfield ground out 300+ yards on the ground. The young Bobcats are game but are just 1-4 L5 as a home dog and face conference powerhouse here that is 8-1 L9 as a road favorite. App State 43-6. |
09-16-17 | Baylor v. Duke -14 | 20-34 | Push | 0 | 90 h 46 m | Show
Jeff Allen's Trifecta of College Football winners is on the Duke Blue Devils Baylor playing Matt Rhule football with Art Briles kids and the combo hasn't worked in the least as the Bears unveil a new quarterback and eight other brand new starters including two offensive linemen. Duke has been almost flawless in blowing out two including what was supposed to be a pretty good Northwestern team last week. The Blue Devils are well coached and not having to deal with the injuries that cost them their season last year. Duke by 28. |
09-16-17 | Oklahoma State -13 v. Pittsburgh | 59-21 | Win | 100 | 124 h 41 m | Show
Jeff Allen's Trifecta of College Football winners is on Oklahoma State Pitt left it all on the field last week vs. rival Penn State holding the high octane Nits to just 312 yards of total offense. Oklahoma State has so many weapons posting 50 against two lesser class opponents but will be rad and sharp here knowing that this is the back end of a home-and-home with Pitt taking the Cowboys (-3 1/2, 45-38) to the limit in a game decided in the final 1:38. Gundy will want sharp effort here with TCU Big 12 opener on deck. |
09-15-17 | Illinois +17.5 v. South Florida | 23-47 | Loss | -110 | 45 h 8 m | Show
Jeff Allen's Friday Night College Football Bluechip is on the Illinois Fighting Illini Charlie Stong inherited a team that might very well run the table and crashes the playoff party. The Bulls have been slow out of the gate in their first two games and hardly looked ready to play in either. Don't disregard the job the Illinois defense did last week in shutting down an explosive Western Kentucky team is a 20-7 win. The Illini also run the football well on offense which will shorten the game and keep things close throughout if the Lovie defense can find a way to bottle up USF quarterback Flowers. Too many points. |
09-14-17 | Texans v. Bengals UNDER 38 | 13-9 | Win | 100 | 22 h 13 m | Show
Jeff Allen's Thursday Night Thunder is on the Texans/Bengals Under The Bengals defense wasn't the problem in its 20-0 loss to Baltimore. It was the bad Andy Dalton who threw four picks and getting absolutely nothing going on offense that killed Cincinnati is a game where they were shut out for the first time is 16 years. Houston has several key players in concussion protocol and has already announced that it will start rookie Deshaun Watson behind an offensive line that allowed 10 sacks in the Texans home opener. We're going to see lots of ground and pound here as each team will try to avoid turning the ball over. Expect a lower scoring game here that goes under the total. |
09-11-17 | Saints +3 v. Vikings | 19-29 | Loss | -105 | 8 h 18 m | Show
Jeff Allen's Saints/Vikes Monday Night Master Play is on the New Orleans Saints New Orleans could be the surprise team in the NFC this year. Adrian Peterson joins Mark Ingram in the Saints back field and a consistent running game will help Drew Brees immensely. The Saints defense was light years better in the preseason than it has been in the recent past. The Vikes are an enigma at this point coming off a disastrous second half last year and an awful preseason. Dalvin Cook is able and we'll see if he can step in for Purple Jesus. Sam Bradford has better wide outs but it's highly doubtful if he can repeat last year's 71% completion rate and high QBR. Saints straight up.  |
09-10-17 | Giants v. Cowboys -4 | 3-19 | Win | 100 | 67 h 53 m | Show
Jeff Allen's Giants/Cowboys SNF Bail out is on the Dallas Cowboys A major part of our handicapping revolves around edges in the trenches where it counts and in this one, it's all Dallas. As good as the Giants defense in, the Cowboy offensive line is still the best in football while the Dallas defensive line should terrorize Eli who has no running game behind a bottom five offensive line in the league. Dak and Zeke have big days to avenge two close losses last year as a run of five straight Giant covers comes to an end. |
09-10-17 | Seahawks v. Packers -3 | 9-17 | Win | 100 | 63 h 50 m | Show
Jeff Allen's NFC Game of the Month Winner is on the Green Bay Packers This could be an NFC playoff preview with these teams co-favorites to win the NFC in Vegas. Both have had some spread success of late in this particular spot with the Seahawks 10-3 L13 as a dog and Pete Carrol 14-1 ATS in the NFL as a dog off a loss in latest to that team. That said, Seattle is a slow starter going just 2-10 SU and 1-11 ATS in its L12 road openers. By contrast, Green Bay is 9-1 SU and 8-1-1 ATS in L10 home openers. Seattle has never done well at Lambeau and of late lost 27-17 in 2015 and 38-10 last year. In Aaron Rodgers we trust. |
09-10-17 | Raiders v. Titans -1.5 | 26-16 | Loss | -130 | 59 h 27 m | Show
Jeff Allen's NFL Revenge in September is on the Tennessee Titans Nice double revenge spot for the Titans here after the Raiders won on this field 24-21 in 2015 and 17-10 last year. Tennessee was killed by three Mariota turnovers last year. The Titans are riding the momentum of a 4-1 finish last year while the Raiders, who were not sharp in the preseason, immediately come three time zones West to East to open the season. A strong running game and a clean slate by Mariota get the Titans through with a seven-point win. |
09-09-17 | Marshall v. NC State -24.5 | 20-37 | Loss | -110 | 74 h 8 m | Show
Jeff Allen's NCAAF 5-Touchdown Burial is on the North Carolina State Wolfpack N.C. State did a lot of things well to not come away with a win in its opener vs. South Carolina. The Wolf Pack outgained the Gamecocks by 250 yards holding USC to just 31 yards on the ground. Marshall escaped Miami, Oh but did so on the legs of two kickoff return touchdowns and a long pick six. Not much else from the Herd who is up against it vs. a coach on the hot seat in his home opener and with Furman on deck. NC State 45-10. |
09-09-17 | Nebraska v. Oregon -14 | 35-42 | Loss | -105 | 73 h 33 m | Show
Jeff Allen's Saturday Big Name Big Time Blowout winner is on the Oregon Ducks Nebraska looks shaky again on defense and that is not a good thing vs. Oregon. The Black Shirts were on the field for 89 plays vs. Arkansas State and the Red Wolves had a shot at the end zone from the 11-yard line to win the game. Oregon throttled Southern Utah like they were supposed to but gave up ground and eventually points to the T-Birds. In the end, Nebraska just doesn't have the fire power to trade points with the Quack Attack. Oregon 51-28. |
09-07-17 | Chiefs v. Patriots UNDER 48.5 | 42-27 | Loss | -105 | 11 h 35 m | Show
Jeff Allen's NFL Chiefs/Pats NFL Season Kickoff is on the Chiefs/Pats Under The loss of Edelman is not insignificant but in the Patriot scheme of things, it has always been next man up. Pats have four solid backs and a healthy Gronk to block and that will prove key here as the Pats break down a fierce Chief front seven. KC more affected by the loss of running back Spencer Ware which will have Alex Smith dinking and dunking with New England LB's picking up the pieces. Expect long possessions by both teams that don't necessarily end in points. Play the Under. |
09-03-17 | Texas A&M v. UCLA -3.5 | 44-45 | Loss | -120 | 11 h 15 m | Show
Jeff Allen's A&M/UCLA Vegas Strip Blue Chip is on the UCLA Bruins This is a hugely important game for both programs as both coaches are firmly on the hot seat. UCLA was decimated by injuries last year, including QB Josh Rosen who has gotten big time NFL play since arriving on campus. The kid is supremely talented and needs to show it in a big time national TV spot like we find him tonight. Nine returning offensive starters which includes an offensive line with a combined 86 starts is the difference here. Take UCLA. |
09-02-17 | Georgia Southern v. Auburn -33.5 | 7-41 | Win | 100 | 97 h 28 m | Show
Jeff Allen's NCAAF Week One Bully Beat Down is on the Auburn Tigers Auburn is loaded, especially on offense where transfer QB from Baylor has earned the job and can hurt you both ways. He also has two explosive 1000 yard backs. Tiger defense is experienced and flies to the ball. Georgia Southern starts freshman QB in this flexbone and the heat equals turnovers and short fields for the hosts. War Eagle drops a 5-0 fifty bomb on their Sunbelt opponents today. 52-7. |
09-02-17 | Kentucky -10 v. Southern Miss | 24-17 | Loss | -104 | 94 h 59 m | Show
Jeff Allen's Saturday College Blue Chip is on the Kentucky Wildcats Huge revenge spot for the Cats who led this game last year 35-10 before giving up 34 unanswered points in their season opening loss to Southern Miss. UK rebounded to have a good year and bowl bid. Big things are expected this year in the Blue Grass as Stoops returns a lot of starters that will all no doubt remember last year. |
09-01-17 | Utah State v. Wisconsin -27 | 10-59 | Win | 100 | 75 h 6 m | Show
Jeff Allen's Friday NCAAF Triple Best Bet is on the Wisconsin Badgers Utah State gave up better than 29 ppg. last year and the stop unit was hit hard by graduation among the key contributors. Wisky has a has a new quarterback but all he'll have to do is handoff to a stub back running behind the best OL of the Paul Chryst era. Badger defense is on par of last year and Camp Randall is as tough a venue for visitors as it gets. Wisconsin rolls. |
08-31-17 | Ohio State -20.5 v. Indiana | 49-21 | Win | 100 | 50 h 54 m | Show
Jeff Allen's Thursday College Football Double Best Bet is on Ohio State The Buckeyes have won 21 straight in the series but the Hoosiers have covered the last six. The man responsible for that potent Hoosier offense is now the Buckeye OC and is very familiar with the Indiana defensive personnel. The Buckeyes have won and covered five straight road openers and the defense is almost of the same quality of the 2015 outfit. The Buckeyes roll. |
08-26-17 | Rice v. Stanford UNDER 51.5 | 7-62 | Loss | -110 | 35 h 55 m | Show
Jeff Allen's First NCAAF 2017 Super Total is on Rice/Stanford Under David Shaw is an excellent coach and a gentleman and has a history of not running up scores on nonconference foes. That will be especially true here vs. Rice, a fellow academic institution that does things right. Stanford is loaded this year and is the main threat to Washington in Pac-12 North. With USC on deck, expect a very vanilla game plan from The Tree with ground and pound plus a relentless pressure defense. Wouldn't be shocked if the home team pitched a shutout. Call it 34-3 Stanford. |
08-26-17 | South Florida -21.5 v. San Jose State | 42-22 | Loss | -110 | 58 h 6 m | Show
Jeff Allen's Thursday College Football Super Best Bet is on the South Florida Bulls Charlie Strong was cut from an untenable spot in Texas and walks right into a turnkey operation at South Florida with a team with a chance to run the table. South Florida is a monster with a dual threat quarterback that has accounted for 71 touchdowns the last two years. Brennan will do some nice things in San Jose but will need some time to put things in place and upgrade his current bottom half Mountain West talent level. South Florida big. |
02-05-17 | Patriots -3 v. Falcons | 34-28 | Win | 100 | 56 h 43 m | Show
Jeff Allen's Super Bowl 51 Lock Parlay is on the Patriots and Under The Pats locked up a similar offensive "juggernaut" in the Pittsburgh Steelers last week shutting down a better back in L'Veon Bell and a Antonio Brown who in many ways does the same and more than Julio Jones. So much experience and so much positive preperation. Remember that Belechick started as the defensive CO for Bill Parcels back in the day so he'll have a little something in store for Matty Ice. In their six previous Super Bowls, the Pats did not score a single first quarter point. That's not a touchdown ... no points. This unheard of 59 means at least eight touchdowns and even if each team gets one stop and each team has at least one double-digit play drive that eats up six minutes and/or ends in a FG, it's hard to see how this one can get over the total. Packers/Falcons was a dead nutz Under until the score dictated almost 30 minutes of wide open garbage time. High 40's here and might just break 50, play the Under. |
02-05-17 | Patriots v. Falcons UNDER 59.5 | 34-28 | Loss | -120 | 56 h 43 m | Show
Jeff Allen's Super Bowl 51 Lock Parlay is on the Patriots and Under The Pats locked up a similar offensive "juggernaut" in the Pittsburgh Steelers last week shutting down a better back in L'Veon Bell and a Antonio Brown who in many ways does the same and more than Julio Jones. So much experience and so much positive preperation. Remember that Belechick started as the defensive CO for Bill Parcels back in the day so he'll have a little something in store for Matty Ice. |||||||
01-22-17 | Steelers v. Patriots UNDER 51 | 17-36 | Loss | -110 | 55 h 9 m | Show
JEFF ALLEN'S AFC TITLE GAME SUPER LOCK is on the UNDER The Pats beat the Steelers 27-16 back in Week 7 but Big Ben sat that one out with a sore knee leaving it to Landry Jones and the now on IR Gronk had a big game for the Pats making the result meaningless. Kansas City proved you could keep the Steelers out of the end zone and Pitt defense will be after Brady all day. Both teams will look to establish the ground game and run the clock shortening the game. We likely won't see 34 points in this one but mid-40's looks about right. Play the Under |
01-22-17 | Packers +6 v. Falcons | 21-44 | Loss | -110 | 36 h 19 m | Show
JEFF ALLEN'S NFC TITLE GAME SUPER LOCK is on the Packers The Packers have won and covered eight straight including three straight up wins as dogs. The teams met in Week 8 with Atlanta winning 33-32 despite Julio Jones making just three grabs for 29 yards and Coleman not playing. Green Bay had won five prior season meetings including a 48-21 decision here in 2010. The Packer defense has improved since October and if the Packer offensive line has any sort of a day, Rodgers can throw to anyone. Too many points here in a game that could come down to a kick at the end. Take the points. |
01-15-17 | Steelers v. Chiefs -1 | 18-16 | Loss | -115 | 59 h 31 m | Show
Jeff Allen's Steelers/Chiefs Sunday Playoff Blue Chip is on Kansas City The Steeler smoked the Chiefs in their prior meeting this year but that was early in the season and in Pittsburgh. This is a different animal here with the Chiefs making their usual late run and playing at home with extra time. Roethlisberger and Pitt playing well but Ben's doesn't look to be 100% here |
01-14-17 | Texans v. Patriots -15 | 16-34 | Win | 100 | 34 h 29 m | Show
Jeff Allen's Saturday NFL Playoff Special is on the New England Patriots Even at this inflated number, New England is the only way to go. The teams met in Week Four during the Brady suspension and the Pats, led by 3rd string QB Jacoby Brisette in his first start, won 27-0 in a game not as close as the final. Houston just 2-6 on the road this year (2-6 L8 as a road dog) with wins over the Jags and Colts. Pats 15-3 at home in the playoffs and have won five straight in this round, 3-1-1 ATS, all at home. Pats will win but the number ??? Pats 6-2 ATS at home this year and have won seven straight (6-1 ATS) overall. Staffs are very familiar with each other as Bill O'Brien is from Belechick stable. The Texans might hang around in the first half but Pats roll to easy cover, |
01-09-17 | Clemson +7 v. Alabama | 35-31 | Win | 100 | 89 h 21 m | Show
Jeff Allen's College Football Title Game Winner is the Clemson Tigers Over the last two year's, these two teams have been without question the best in college football so it is fitting that we get a rematch of last year's 45-40 shootout in Glendale. Clemson was able to shake off last year's championship game loss with a couple of landmines along the way but when the money was down (like Florida State and Ohio State) the Tigers and four-year starter Deshaun Watson were at their best. Bama reloaded with a defense that looked like the Bear's 46 defense from the day and have just dominated college football, even with a freshman starting quarterback. Key here is, on it's best, the Clemson defense is better than last year's and almost (but not quite) as good as the Tide. The Bama offense is a grinder, not explosive and that should allow the Tigers to hang around with a chance to win late. If Clemson gets off to a fast start and hold the fort early, maybe wire-to-wire. At the window, Clemson with a touchdown is a solid play. Clemson 28-24. |
01-08-17 | Giants v. Packers UNDER 45 | 13-38 | Loss | -110 | 62 h 45 m | Show
Jeff Allen's Sunday Wild Card Round Super Lock is on the Giants/Green Bay Under Green Bay won here 23-16 in Week IV and while both teams are very different now, expect similar results with the points. The Giants ran for just 43 yards in the first meeting. The run game is not much better but the defense is and carried the G-Men to 9-2 the rest of the way. The Packers rebounded from mid-season crash and burn to run the table to win the NFC North and put them back in Lambeau where they were 6-2. The Giants won here in 2007 and 2011 in their Super Bowls years so now sig edge there. The weather was not expected to be an issue but the temps have dropped the last 48 hour and expecting game time in the teens. Turnovers and field position key as it always is. First one to 20 wins, play the Under. |
01-07-17 | Raiders v. Texans -3.5 | 14-27 | Win | 100 | 38 h 42 m | Show
Jeff Allen's Saturday Wild Card Round Super Lock is on the Houston Texans Both teams struggling with quarterback issues but the Raiders are in uncharted territory with Connor Cook who becomes the first player in NFL history to make his first start in a playoff game. Even at Michigan State this guy had arm issues and just does not goods to throw the ball downfield with any type off success. Osweiler has been terrible, no doubt about it but this Texan No.1 ranked defense comes to play every week and Romeo will certainly have some wrinkles in store for the newbie. The No.1 defense in the playoffs has won and covered eight straight first round home games and none were against QBs making their first start. Houston by a touchdown. |
01-02-17 | Auburn v. Oklahoma OVER 64.5 | 19-35 | Loss | -110 | 38 h 2 m | Show
Over |
01-02-17 | USC -7 v. Penn State | 52-49 | Loss | -110 | 34 h 22 m | Show
Jeff Allen's Big Daddy Rose Bowl Big Daddy is on USC Both teams are late bloomers that survived early season issues to play their best football when it counts the most ... at the end. Penn State won the Big Ten and is getting good play all around. The Nits have been especially adept at blowing teams out in the second half. USC changed QBs and promptly ran through the back end of their schedule which included a dominating win over Washington. The Pac 12 has won this game four of the last five years and buried the Big Ten the last two years. Rose Bowl faves improve to 4-1-1 L6 after USC stops Penn State by double-digits. |
01-02-17 | Iowa +3 v. Florida | 3-30 | Loss | -105 | 30 h 13 m | Show
Jeff Allen's Outback Bowl Vegas Insider is on Iowa It's been a disappointing season for the Hawkeyes who had the team and the dream schedule to have made the Final Four themselves. Ferentz teams have a history of quiitting and have lost four straight Bowls but this year could be different. Iowa circled the wagons late to upset Michigan and face an offensively challenged Florida Gator team today. Iowa can play defense with anybody so if they don't turn the ball over and make even a couple of plays they easily win this game straight up. |
01-01-17 | Chiefs -4 v. Chargers | 37-27 | Win | 100 | 9 h 21 m | Show
Jeff Allen's NFL Divisional Game of the Year is on the Kansas City Chiefs Sad day for San Diego as the Chargers likely play their final home game ever in front of raving lunatic Chief fans who make the trip down to SoCal every year. The Bolts have lost four straight SU and ATS,l have lost last three home games and will fire their coach on Monday. Kansas City can steal the AFC West with a in and Raider loss so they still have a lot to play for. AFC West Divisional faves 7-3 this year and figures here. Kansas City 23-10. |
01-01-17 | Cowboys v. Eagles -4.5 | 13-27 | Win | 100 | 33 h 20 m | Show
Jeff Allen's NFL Regular Season Finale Personal Best is on the Philadelphia Eagles The Cowboys will be resting their starters and not even going to Tony Romo ... it's Mark Sanchez. The Eagles for the most part have played well at home going 5-2 with loses only to the Packers and Redskins. The first meeting in Dallas went to OT so Philly has already played the Pokes close. Philly started the year great and salvages something to take into the off-season with a win against a team that is 13-0 against everyone not in a Giants uniform. |
12-31-16 | Ohio State v. Clemson +3 | 0-31 | Win | 100 | 15 h 59 m | Show
Jeff Allen's National Semi Lock Parlay is on Wash/Bama Under and Clemson It aint lying when you are telling the truth and that Clemson player talking smack this week might just have something here as Deshaun is better than J.T. In fact, this is Watson's 34th start for the Tigers and you can bet that he'll humming and fine tuned here to get one last shot at Bama. Dabo is one of only two coaches to beat Urban Meyer in a Bowl. Make it twice after today. |
12-31-16 | Washington v. Alabama UNDER 53 | 7-24 | Win | 100 | 11 h 49 m | Show
Jeff Allen's National Semi Lock Parlay is on Wash/Bama Under and Clemson The Crimson Tide has scored 31+ points in five straight Bowls but so the key for the Huskies is not scoring points but stopping Bama from getting theirs. The Huskies can do it and still do enough on offense to move the chains. UWub on a 4-1 under run and against the best of the Pac12. Closer and lower scoring than people expect. Play the Under. |
12-30-16 | South Alabama v. Air Force -14 | 21-45 | Win | 100 | 16 h 51 m | Show
Jeff Allen's Arizona Bowl Bluechip is on the Air Force South Alabama is a nice story and and owns straight up wins over Mountain West kingpin San Diego State the last two years. The Jags have been less than pedestrian against everyone else going just 7-14 ATS the last three years as a dog and faces a Flyboy outfit that have won five straight averaging better than 35.6 ppg. It's been a nice year for the Falcon who also took the Commander and Chief Trophy and with this kind of prep time should have the defense sufficiently prepared to cover the big number. |
12-30-16 | North Carolina v. Stanford OVER 54 | 23-25 | Loss | -110 | 12 h 23 m | Show
Jeff Allen's Sun Bowl Totals Destroyer is on the Over |
12-30-16 | TCU v. Georgia +3.5 | 23-31 | Win | 100 | 10 h 25 m | Show
Jeff Allen's Liberty Bowl Super Lock is on the Georgia Bulldogs TCU was very young this year and took it's lumps as expected. The Frogs are just 2-2 as a dog and 1-6 in single digit games. Georgia won three of it last four to get here including a win over ACC North Carolina. The SEC is 10-2 in L12 Bowls vs. the Big 12. Patterson is a big game coach is 9-5 Bowl games but with just eight scholarship seniors, prefer a versatile Georgia outfit in a lower scoring game. |

12-29-16 | Oklahoma State v. Colorado OVER 62.5 | 38-8 | Loss | -110 | 113 h 35 m | Show
Jeff Allen's Alamo Bowl Super Total is on Colorado/Okie State Over the Total The Buffs were one of the top stories of 2016 in going 10-3 after 35-88 the prior 10 years. That said, a hugely important piece of the puzzle (DC Leavitt) bolted to Oregon. Buffs were somewhat exposed in Pac 12 final vs. Washington where the Husky speed was telling. Okie State brings similar problem at a lesser scale. The Cowboys season was lost with the Central Mich fiasco and OSU was unable to stop in-state rival Oklahoma at Bedlam. Buff QB Lifau is a gamer and is reportedly good to go. Looking at this as an up and down shootout rather than choosing a side. Play the Over. |

12-28-16 | Kansas State +3 v. Texas A&M | 33-28 | Win | 100 | 88 h 27 m | Show
Jeff Allen's Texas Bowl winner is on Kansas State This is more and more looking like it's going to be Bill Snyder's last game and it come's in K State's best role as a dog where they are 4-1 as a dog this year. A&M got off to a fast start but has struggled to a 2-4 finish after a 6-0 start. The Aggies were also 0-7-1 ATS L8 and it's unclear even at this late time if top QB Treveor Knight will go since suffering a shoulder injury. Wildcats are No.12 against the run and if Snyder speculation is true, this team will be super jacked. K State straight up. |

12-28-16 | West Virginia v. Miami (Fla) -2.5 | 14-31 | Win | 100 | 85 h 4 m | Show
Jeff Allen's Russell Athletic Bowl winner is on Miami, Fla |
12-28-16 | Northwestern v. Pittsburgh OVER 64.5 | 31-24 | Loss | -110 | 12 h 57 m | Show
Jeff Allen's Pinstripe Bowl Diouble Best Bet is on Northwestern/Pitt Over The Panthers are on offensive machine that does a lot of thing right. They own two of the top upsets of college football this year (Clemson) and won their last three while scoring 175 points to get here. Pitt also gave up 79 in last two and rocks one of the weakest secondaries in college football. That said, the Wildcats can throw it around some if they want and may have to to have any hopes of trading points with Pitt. Play the Over. |
12-27-16 | Baylor v. Boise State OVER 67 | 31-12 | Loss | -110 | 66 h 3 m | Show
Jeff Allen's College Bowl Total of the Year winner is on Baylor/Boise Over Baylor started the year 6-0 and finished 6-6 which is not easy to do. Injuries played a big part but not as much as a defense that was shredded at the end. The last five Baylor Bowl games under Art Briles averaged 94 ppg. Couldn't possible be interested in either side here as Boise covered just one of it's final seven but the Broncos have on their last to Bowls by 55-7 and 38-30. McNichols for Boise could rush the football for 200 and if Baylor still gets over of theirs, this one goes flying over the total. |
12-27-16 | Washington State -10 v. Minnesota | 12-17 | Loss | -110 | 63 h 44 m | Show
Jeff Allen's Holiday Bowl winner is on the Washington State Cougars |
12-27-16 | Wake Forest v. Temple -11.5 | 34-26 | Loss | -105 | 59 h 15 m | Show
Jeff Allen's Military Bowl winner is on the Temple Owls Temple has covered 11 straight and has won seven straight overall, the last six by 16+ points. Wake Forest lost its final three averaging just 13 ppg. The Temple HC is now at Baylor but we have a four year starting QB playing his final game looking to put the cherry on a big career at a school that has been down and out for a long time prior to Golden/Rhule eras. Both teams play solid defense but still not afraid to lay double-digits with Owl team on a mission. |
12-26-16 | Vanderbilt +5.5 v. NC State | 17-41 | Loss | -110 | 7 h 24 m | Show
Jeff Allen Independence Bowl Late Steam action is on Vanderbilt Vandy is a program on the upswing and it appears that good hings are happening in Nashville. The Commodores closed the year with wins over Ole Miss and Tennessee to get eligible and were overall much improved the second half and turning the QB duties over to soph Kyle Shurmur. The Commodores have a solid SEC quality defense and will run the ball with Webb who will be the best offensive player on the field today. The Wolf Pack had their moments during the year like their near miss against Clemson but Doering is likely gone after this game as the Pack went 2-5 down the stretch including a run of four straight losses. Vandy 24-20 |
12-24-16 | Cardinals v. Seahawks -7.5 | 34-31 | Loss | -110 | 13 h 5 m | Show
Jeff Allen's NFC West Double Best Bet is on the Seattle Seahawks The NFC West has been decided but today the Seahawks play for that all important first week bye. Seattle has a half-game lead for the two-spot and simply need to take care of their business. The disappointing Cards are 1-5 on the road this year and 0-3 as a road dog. Seattle is 7-0 at home and have covered the last three by 11-33-21 points. Teams battled to a 6-6 tie in Week Seven. There should be lots more office here as Seahawks roll to a 38-23 win. |
12-24-16 | Redskins v. Bears OVER 47 | 41-21 | Win | 100 | 10 h 2 m | Show
Jeff Allen's NFL Total of the Week is on Washington/Chicago Over |
12-23-16 | Louisiana Tech -6 v. Navy | 48-45 | Loss | -110 | 55 h 9 m | Show
Jeff Allen's Armed Forces Bowl Blue Chip is on the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs While Navy is happy to be here and having gotten much needed rest after playing important games eight straight weeks, in they end, they don't have enough defense to get the stops they'll need to trade points with high octane La Tech. Navy could be better with backup QB Abey getting much needed reps but not enough to duplicate production of record setting Wirth who is out for the season. The Bulldogs take advantage of slow Middie defense to get their points and ultimate cover this number. La Tech 45-27. |
12-22-16 | Colorado State -15 v. Idaho | 50-61 | Loss | -110 | 34 h 48 m | Show
Jeff Allen's Idaho Bowl Vegas Insider play is on Colorado State This Idaho's first Bowl since 2009 and the last for the Vandals in quite a while as the team drops down to FCS status. Idaho has played well in winning it's last three and covering their last six. That said, Colorado State is a program on the rise and heading North with a bullet. This was a team that was supposed to languish near the bottom of a bad Mountain West and but rolled the second half of the year to finish 7-5 and cover seven straight. While Idaho is a nice story and playing in a virtual home game, the Vandals are resigned to their fate while their is nothing but positivity and optimism for a team that figures to be a MWC power in the coming years. Colorado State 45-20. |
12-19-16 | Panthers v. Redskins OVER 50.5 | 26-15 | Loss | -108 | 10 h 37 m | Show
Jeff Allen's Monday Night Mayhem is on the Panthers/Skins Over The door has opened for the Washington Redskins with Tampa Bay's loss at Dallas. Cousins has been throwing the ball with a lot of success as Washington has scored at least 23+ points in it's last six games. The last six Skins games have gone over the total. This is the last stand for Carolina who were embarrassed in this game two weeks ago and do not want to look bad here. Both teams trade points till the time runs out. Play the Over. |
