07-07-18 | Yankees -1.5 v. Blue Jays | Top | 8-5 | Win | 100 | 6 h 44 m | Show |
Yankees (run-line) Luis Severino has emerged as a bona fide ace for the New York Yankees, leading the major leagues in wins and looking like the starter for the American League in the All-Star Game. Severino could be facing a future teammate in his next start when the Yankees resume their three-game series at the Toronto Blue Jays on Saturday afternoon. Severino, who will match his career-high win total with his next victory, is 2-0 with a 0.71 ERA versus the Blue Jays this season, allowing one run and four hits over 12 2/3 innings. He will be opposed by left-hander J.A. Happ, a 10-game winner for Toronto who has been the subject of rampant trade speculation -- with New York considered among the top suitors. PITCHING MATCHUP: Yankees RH Luis Severino (13-2, 1.98 ERA) vs. Blue Jays LH J.A. Happ (10-4, 4.03) Happ had his six-game winning streak halted by Detroit on Sunday, getting tagged for seven runs and 10 hits to absorb his first defeat since May 10. He has surrendered four of his 14 homers in his last three turns and also yielded a two-run shot to Giancarlo Stanton in an Opening Day loss to New York. Yankees are 22-6 in their last 28 games vs. a left-handed starter and are 12-1 in Severinos last 13 starts vs. a team with a losing record. Blue Jays are 2-7 in their last 9 games vs. a team with a winning % above .600. Yankees are 4-0 in their last 4 games with Barrett behind home plate. |

06-29-18 | Indians -1.5 v. A's | Top | 1-3 | Loss | -110 | 10 h 43 m | Show |
Indians (run line) Cleveland and Oakland each have 44 wins, but while the Indians are holding a comfortable eight-game lead atop the American League Central, the Athletics are sitting seven games back of the second wild card. Both teams are on a roll, though, winning eight of their last 10 as they prepare to kick off a three-game series in Oakland on Friday. PITCHING MATCHUP: Indians RH Trevor Bauer (7-5, 2.44 ERA) vs. Athletics RH Paul Blackburn (1-2, 8.83) Bauer is coming off a superb performance against Detroit on Saturday, striking out 11 while giving up one run on five hits over 6 1/3 innings. It marked the sixth time in his last eight outings that he has registered double-digit strikeouts and his sixth quality start in that span. Blackburn has been wildly erratic in his four starts this season, following up his two strong outings with a pair of duds. After limiting San Diego to two runs and four hits over five innings on June 19, he was pounded for six runs and eight hits over five innings in a loss at the Chicago White Sox last time out. Indians are 8-2 in Bauers last 10 starts vs. a team with a winning record. Athletics are 1-4 in their last 5 games vs. a starter with a WHIP less than 1.15 and are 4-10 in their last 14 home games following a road trip of 7 or more days. |

06-08-18 | Warriors -4.5 v. Cavs | Top | 108-85 | Win | 100 | 10 h 21 m | Show |
Warriors The Golden State Warriors aim to finish off a four-game sweep of Cleveland when they visit the Cavaliers in the NBA Finals on Friday. Golden State is striving to win its third title in four seasons as well as become the first team to sweep the best-of-7 finals since the San Antonio Spurs dispatched the Cavaliers in four games in 2007. Golden State forward Draymond Green told reporters. "So you have the opportunity to close out, you want to do that. So you come in, take full advantage of the opportunity in front of us." Which I feel they will do. I just don’t see the Cavs having enough in the tank to get this game. Warriors end the series tonight. Warriors are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games overall. Cavaliers are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 after allowing 100 points or more in their previous game. Warriors are 4-1 ATS in the last 5 meetings. |

06-06-18 | Warriors v. Cavs +4.5 | Top | 110-102 | Loss | -108 | 8 h 5 m | Show |
Cavs The Cleveland Cavaliers badly need a victory if they plan on turning the NBA Finals into a true series. The Golden State Warriors won the first two games of the best-of-seven series and look to place Cleveland in a major hole when they visit the Cavaliers on Wednesday. Cleveland forward LeBron James averaged 40 points in the first two games - including his epic 51-point outing in the opener - and it still wasn't enough to get his squad a victory. I’m looking for James to will his team into a close game tonight. Playoff disappointment Rodney Hood will receive some minutes in Game 3 as Cleveland searches for anybody who can provide scoring punch to complement James and power forward Kevin Love. Warriors are 7-21-1 ATS in their last 29 games following a straight up win of more than 10 points and are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games playing on 2 days rest. Cavaliers are 5-0 ATS in their last 5 home games vs. a team with a road winning % of greater than .600. |
|||||||
06-03-18 | Cavs +11.5 v. Warriors | Top | 103-122 | Loss | -105 | 9 h 6 m | Show |
Cavs The Cleveland Cavaliers got two days off to digest the mistakes made down the stretch that allowed the Golden State Warriors to escape with a win in Game 1 of the 2018 NBA Finals and put it behind them. The Cavaliers will get another chance to steal homecourt advantage when they visit the Warriors for Game 2 on Sunday. Cleveland had a chance to take the lead at the end of regulation, but JR Smith dribbled out the clock instead of putting up a shot after securing an offensive rebound and the Cavaliers went on to suffer a 124-114 defeat in overtime to heavily-favored Golden State. Cleveland superstar LeBron James turned in one of the great performances in NBA Finals history in Game 1 with 51 points, eight rebounds and eight assists, but he might have to play even better going forward. Golden State shot 51.1 percent from the floor and 95 percent from the free-throw line while committing just eight turnovers in Game 1 but was still pushed to overtime, in part because Cleveland dominated on the boards with 19 offensive rebounds. Once again I feel this spread is inflated and I’ll back the Cavs again plus the points. Cavaliers are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games vs. a team with a winning % above .600 and are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 vs. Western Conference. Warriors are 6-18 ATS in their last 24 games following a straight up win and are 12-25 ATS in their last 37 games vs. a team with a winning straight up record. |

05-31-18 | Cavs +13 v. Warriors | Top | 114-124 | Win | 100 | 9 h 5 m | Show |
Cavs The Cleveland Cavaliers and Golden State Warriors are in the NBA Finals for the fourth straight season and the series begins Thursday night in Oakland, Calif. The Warriors won two of the first three meetings and the latest matchup will likely begin with Cavaliers forward Kevin Love (concussion) sitting out. Love suffered a concussion in Friday's Game 6 of the Eastern Conference finals against the Boston Celtics and has yet to pass the protocol, and coach Tyronn Lue doesn't know if he will be available. Love, a five-time All-Star, was seen on the practice floor Wednesday and Lue did indicate that he will start the contest if he is cleared to play. Love's presence would alleviate some pressure off James, who is averaging 34 points, 9.2 rebounds and 8.8 assists in a stellar postseason. Veteran defensive stopper Andre Iguodala (left leg) will miss his fifth consecutive contest, leaving Golden State without a player who typically shadows James. James has topped 40 points seven times this postseason, one shy of Jerry West's postseason record set in 1965. JUST TOO MANY POINTS TO PASS UP FOR ME! TAKE THE CAVS! |

05-26-18 | Padres v. Dodgers -1.5 | Top | 7-5 | Loss | -100 | 4 h 43 m | Show |
Dodgers (run-line) When the San Diego Padres continue their three-game series against the host Los Angeles Dodgers on Saturday, they may want to consider pitching around Matt Kemp. The Dodgers outfielder is 15-for-26 with four home runs and 12 RBIs in seven games this season against his former team, including a three-run blast in Friday’s 4-1 win. PITCHING MATCHUP: Padres RH Jordan Lyles (1-1, 3.11 ERA) vs. Dodgers LH Alex Wood (1-4, 3.32)In his first start since tossing 7 2/3 perfect innings against Milwaukee, Lyles gave up four runs over 5 2/3 frames in a no-decision against Pittsburgh on Sunday. The 27-year-old began the season in the bullpen and did not allow a run in 10 of his 13 appearances. Chase Utley is 7-for-16 against Lyles, who is 0-3 with a 6.97 ERA in 15 career games (six starts) versus Los Angeles - including a 6.55 ERA in six contests (one start) last season. |

05-26-18 | Rockets +13 v. Warriors | Top | 86-115 | Loss | -105 | 3 h 40 m | Show |
Rockets The Houston Rockets are on the brink of the franchise's first trip to the NBA Finals since 1995 but will be without point guard Chris Paul when they try to knock off a proud defending champion. The Rockets, who took a 3-2 series lead with a home win in Game 5, will take the first of their two shots at earning one more win when they visit the Golden State Warriors for Game 6 on Saturday. The only downside to the 98-94 Game 5 win for Houston was the sight of Paul leaving with a hamstring injury in the final minute, and he was ruled out of Game 6 on Friday. With Paul out I feel the line makers are inflating this spread a bit too much. Houston won the last two games despite a historic shooting slump from MVP candidate James Harden, who missed his last 20 3-point attempts after going 0-of-11 from beyond the arc on Thursday. I look for him to break out of the slump tonight. Warriors SF Andre Iguodala (knee) sat out the last two games and is questionable for Game 6. Rockets are 7-1 ATS in their last 8 games playing on 1 days rest. Warriors are 4-17 ATS in their last 21 games playing on 1 days rest. |
|||||||
05-25-18 | Celtics +7 v. Cavs | Top | 99-109 | Loss | -105 | 4 h 7 m | Show |
Celtics The Boston Celtics are one win away from reaching the NBA Finals for the first time since 2010 when they visit the Cleveland Cavaliers on Friday. The Celtics possess a 3-2 lead in the Eastern Conference finals but are just 1-6 on the road this postseason, including two setbacks in Cleveland. Boston continues to persevere behind its young roster but it will have to step up if it is to close the series on the Cavaliers' home floor. Small forward Jayson Tatum scored 24 points in Game 5 for his ninth 20-point outing of the postseason. The 20-year-old is putting together one of the best scoring playoff runs by a rookie in NBA history with 312 points and he trails only Elgin Baylor (331), Alvan Adams (341) and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar (352). James had 26 points, 10 rebounds and five assists while going 11-of-22 shooting in Game 5 and he downplayed interrogating questions about his level of fatigue. Cleveland SG JR Smith is averaging just 5.2 points on 9-of-39 shooting in the series. Horford had 15 points and 12 rebounds in Game 5 for his second double-double of the series and seventh of the postseason. Celtics are 9-3 ATS in their last 12 games playing on 1 days rest. Cavaliers are 12-39-2 ATS in their last 53 games following a straight up loss of more than 10 points. |

05-24-18 | Warriors +1.5 v. Rockets | Top | 94-98 | Loss | -110 | 6 h 20 m | Show |
Warriors Staring at a 10-point deficit heading into the fourth quarter and a 3-1 series hole, the Houston Rockets came alive and reestablished homecourt advantage in the Western Conference finals. The Rockets will try to maintain that advantage and carry some momentum back when they host the Golden State Warriors in Game 5 on Thursday. Houston allowed 126 points on 52.2 percent shooting in a 41-point loss in Game 3 but came out with a renewed passion on the defensive end in Game 4 and held the Warriors to 12 points in the fourth quarter to earn a 95-92 victory. That may have been the worst quarter of Basketball the Warriors have played all season. That will not happen again here tonight. The Warriors shot 39.3 percent from the floor in the loss and All-Star shooting guard Klay Thompson was held to 10 points on 4-of-13 shooting, giving him an average of 10.3 points over the last three games after going off for 28 in Game 1. I’m looking for Klay to bounce back here will a good shooting effort. Warriors are 8-3 ATS in their last 11 Conference Finals games and are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games following a straight up loss. Rockets are 3-7 ATS in their last 10 home games vs. a team with a road winning % of greater than .600 and are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games following a straight up win. Warriors are 10-4 ATS in the last 14 meetings in Houston. |

05-23-18 | Cavs v. Celtics +1 | Top | 83-96 | Win | 100 | 9 h 43 m | Show |
Celtics The Cleveland Cavaliers recovered to even the Eastern Conference Finals at two games apiece and now look to solve the homecourt mastery of the Boston Celtics. Second-seeded Boston is 9-0 at TD Garden this postseason and Cleveland can end the Celtics' unbeaten mark if it can win its third straight outing. Boston won its two home games by average of 19 points but things didn't go so smoothly in Cleveland as it lost by an average of 19.5 points. "We missed a bunch of easy opportunities," shooting guard Jaylen Brown said of the Game 4 loss. "We made some bad turnovers and things like that. But we still had opportunities to get into the game and to win." Brown is averaging 20.3 points in the series and his 25-point effort in Game 4 was his third 20-point outing in the East finals. The Cavaliers are 3-4 on the road in the postseason. Cavaliers are 8-17 ATS in their last 25 road games vs. a team with a winning home record. eltics are 18-6 ATS in their last 24 home games and are 6-1 ATS in their last 7 after allowing 100 points or more in their previous game. Home team is 4-0 ATS in the last 4 meetings. Take the Celtics at home in Game Five. |

05-22-18 | Rockets v. Warriors -8.5 | Top | 95-92 | Loss | -103 | 10 h 48 m | Show |
Warriors All the questions that were raised by the Golden State Warriors' lackluster performance in Game 2, particularly surrounding star guard Stephen Curry, were answered in emphatic fashion in a dominating performance in Game 3. Similar questions are now surrounding the top-seeded Houston Rockets, who will try to bounce back from an embarrassing performance and even the Western Conference finals at two wins apiece when they visit the Warriors for Game 4 on Tuesday. Curry averaged 17 points and was a combined 2-of-13 from 3-point range as the Warriors split the first two games in Houston but found his shot during a third-quarter outburst on Sunday and finished with a game-high 35 points on 13-of-23 shooting as second-seeded Golden State breezed to a 126-85 victory. Houston shot 39.5 percent from the floor, including 11-of-34 from beyond the arc, and committed 20 turnovers leading to 28 points on Sunday. I simply looking for more of the same here in Game Four with the Warriors getting the easy win but close cover. Lay the points. Rockets are 7-19 ATS in their last 26 vs. NBA Pacific. Warriors are 22-7 ATS in their last 29 home games vs. a team with a road winning % of greater than .600 and are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 Conference Finals games. |

05-19-18 | Celtics +6.5 v. Cavs | Top | 86-116 | Loss | -110 | 9 h 18 m | Show |
Celtics The Cleveland Cavaliers have little margin for error as they attempt to begin digging out of a hole when they host the Boston Celtics on Saturday in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference finals. Boston won the first two games to improve to 9-0 at home in the postseason but the Celtics are just 1-4 on the road. Cleveland dropped the first two games by an average of 19 points and even a monster Game 2 effort by LeBron James (42 points, 12 assists and 10 rebounds) on Tuesday couldn't prevent a 13-point loss. Starting shooting guard Jaylen Brown has been solid with back-to-back 23-point outings while center Al Horford is averaging 17.5 points, seven rebounds, five assists and two blocked shots over the first two games. James was bothered by a strained neck after Game 2 but the extra days of rest figure to leave him near full strength. Someone not operating at a high level is shooting guard JR Smith, who is averaging two points on 2-of-16 shooting (0-of-7 from 3-point range) and committed a controversial flagrant 1 foul on a defenseless Horford in Game 2. While LeBron may find a way to will his team to a narrow victory the line is very inflated. Take Boston plus the points. Celtics are 6-1 ATS in their last 7 games playing on 3 or more days rest and are 42-20-2 ATS in their last 64 road games vs. a team with a winning home record. Cavaliers are 0-6 ATS in their last 6 games playing on 3 or more days rest and are 1-5 ATS in their last 6 home games vs. a team with a winning road record. Celtics are 4-0-1 ATS in the last 5 meetings in Cleveland. |

05-18-18 | Yankees -1.5 v. Royals | Top | 2-5 | Loss | -100 | 8 h 49 m | Show |
Yankees (run-line) Pretty much everything has gone right for the New York Yankees over the past four weeks -- with the exception of some weather issues this week. After having the first two contests of their eight-game road trip wiped out by rain in the nation's capital, the Yankees head to Kansas City to open a three-game set against the Royals on Friday night. Red-hot New York owns the best record in the majors at 28-12, ripping off 19 wins in its last 22 games after sitting at the .500 mark (9-9) on April 20. CC Sabathia, unbeaten in his last 15 regular-season starts, gets the nod in the series opener for the Yankees, who have played the fewest road games (15) of any team in baseball but have won six of their last seven away from home. The skidding Royals, losers of five straight and seven of eight, are coming off a three-game sweep by visiting Tampa Bay, falling into a three-run hole in the first inning in each of their past two. PITCHING MATCHUP: Yankees LH CC Sabathia (2-0, 2.23 ERA) vs. Royals RH Jakob Junis (4-3, 3.53) Sabathia is coming off his worst start of the season but managed to escape with a no-decision against Boston after getting knocked around for four runs and nine hits over four innings. He had allowed a combined four runs (one earned) in his previous four runs and has not lost since Aug. 8. Sabathia has 21 wins against the Royals -- tied for his most against any opponent -- and is 13-5 at Kauffman Stadium. Junis has leveled off after his sensational start to the season in which he won his first two outings by permitting a combined four hits over 14 scoreless innings. The 25-year-old is struggling to keep the ball in the park, surrendering 11 homers over his last six starts -- nine of which have come at home. Junis lost his lone career start against the Yankees last season, giving up six runs over 5 2/3 innings. Yankees are 16-5 in Sabathias last 21 starts with 7 or more days of rest. Royals are 5-21 in their last 26 games vs. a team with a winning % above .600. Yankees are 7-1 in Sabathias last 8 starts vs. Royals. |

05-15-18 | Cavs v. Celtics +1 | Top | 94-107 | Win | 102 | 6 h 19 m | Show |
Celtics Marcus Morris and his Boston teammates got the best of LeBron James in the opener of the Eastern Conference finals. The second-seeded Celtics look to stymie the Cleveland star for the second consecutive contest when they host the fourth-seeded Cavaliers on Tuesday in Game 2 of the best-of-seven series. Morris helped hold James to 15 points on 5-of-16 shooting as Boston roared to a 26-point halftime advantage en route to a 108-83 torching of Cleveland in Sunday's series opener. Morris moved into the starting lineup and had 21 points and 10 rebounds after boasting prior to the opener that he is one of the best in the NBA at defending James. James had plenty of company in the subpar shooting category as Cleveland shot 36 percent from the field, including a woeful 4-of-26 from 3-point range. Morris was one of three Boston players to reach the 20-point mark in the opener as shooting guard Jaylen Brown recorded 23 points and eight rebounds and center Al Horford had 20 points on 8-of-10 shooting. Look for Boston to play another solid game on defense and go up 2-0 in the series. Cavaliers are 11-38-2 ATS in their last 51 games following a straight up loss of more than 10 points. Celtics are 14-2 ATS in their last 16 home games and are 13-3 ATS in their last 16 home games vs. a team with a winning road record. |

05-08-18 | Jazz v. Rockets -11.5 | Top | 102-112 | Loss | -106 | 3 h 56 m | Show |
Rockets The Houston Rockets will try to punch their ticket to the Western Conference finals when they take on the Utah Jazz in Game 5 of their best-of-seven semifinal series on Tuesday. The Rockets lost their last game at home but rebounded with back-to-back double-digit victories at Salt Lake City to take a commanding 3-1 series lead. Chris Paul ate up Utah's defense with a string of short jumpers en route to a 27-point, 12-rebound, six-assist effort for Houston. Ricky Rubio still has not played in the series due to a hamstring issue and Derrick Favors was limited to 16 minutes in Game 4 due to a sprained ankle as injuries have taken their toll on Utah. Since a 1-2 ATS start in the playoffs, Mike D’Antoni’s team has covered in five of the past six games. When Houston wins in the postseason, the pointspread hasn’t mattered in six of seven victories, while the Rockets pulled away from the Timberwolves in their first round close-out game, 102-82 as 10 ½-point home favorites. Jazz are 0-5 ATS in their last 5 games playing on 1 days rest. Rockets are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games playing on 1 days rest. Jazz are 1-7 ATS in the last 8 meetings. |

05-06-18 | Warriors v. Pelicans +6 | Top | 118-92 | Loss | -105 | 5 h 42 m | Show |
Pelicans Anthony Davis and the New Orleans Pelicans hope to match their last performance when they host the defending champion Golden State Warriors for Game 4 of the Western Conference semifinal series Sunday afternoon. Davis registered 33 points, 18 rebounds and four steals while the Pelicans limited the Warriors to 38 percent shooting with suffocating defense for a decisive 119-100 victory Friday. The Pelicans put more pressure on Golden State’s shooters after allowing 122 points per game in the first two of the series and drained 50 percent of their shots from the field - 14-of-31 from 3-point range - to pull away. Curry moved back into the starting lineup Friday in his second game back from an MCL sprain that kept him out more than a month, but connected on just 3-of-9 from 3-point range after making 5-of-10 in Tuesday’s 28-point performance. Veteran point guard Rajon Rondo dished out 21 assists in Friday’s victory and is averaging 13.9 in the playoffs with at least nine in all seven games during the postseason. Golden State is second-to-last at 33.6 percent from 3-point range in the playoffs after leading the league during the regular season (39.1). Warriors are 3-12 ATS in their last 15 road games vs. a team with a winning home record and are 3-13 ATS in their last 16 games playing on 1 days rest. Pelicans are 9-1 ATS in their last 10 games vs. a team with a winning straight up record and are 6-0 ATS in their last 6 games following a straight up win of more than 10 points. Warriors are 1-4 ATS in the last 5 meetings in New Orleans. |

05-05-18 | Celtics +9 v. 76ers | Top | 101-98 | Win | 100 | 6 h 59 m | Show |
Celtics The Boston Celtics look to open up a commanding 3-0 series lead when they visit the Philadelphia 76ers on Saturday in the Eastern Conference semifinals. Philadelphia was in good position to even the series when it led Game 2 by 22 points but Boston rallied to post an impressive 108-103 victory. The Celtics appear to be in good shape as they are 36-0 all-time when holding a 2-0 lead in a seven-game series but it took a lot of work to overcome the 76ers' stellar start. Philadelphia is 0-11 all-time when dropping the first two contests of a seven-game playoff series but coach Brett Brown isn't interested in dwelling over the big hole. While the 76ers may come out and win here in game three this is too many points to pass up with the Celtics. |

05-04-18 | Rockets v. Jazz +5 | Top | 113-92 | Loss | -108 | 7 h 29 m | Show |
Jazz The Utah Jazz have seized homecourt advantage from the NBA's best team this season and they'll try to make it hold up when they host the Houston Rockets on Friday for Game 3 of their Western Conference semifinals. After losing all four regular-season encounters and then falling by 14 points in Game 1, the Jazz shot 51.8 percent and used a 14-2 run in the fourth quarter en route to a stunning 116-108 triumph in Wednesday's Game 2. Harden scored 32 points and two other starters had at least 21, but Houston's bench was outscored 41-22 and shot 7-of-25 from the floor. Joe Ingles hit a career-high seven 3-pointers in nine attempts en route to a team-high 27 points in Game 2 and the 30-year-old is averaging 15.9 points in the playoffs - up from 11.5 during the regular season - while making 50.9 percent from beyond the arc. Rockets are 1-5 ATS in their last 6 road games. Jazz are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 home games. |

05-04-18 | Warriors v. Pelicans +5 | Top | 100-119 | Win | 100 | 5 h 56 m | Show |
Pelicans Golden State star guard Stephen Curry will be back in the starting lineup when the Warriors visit the New Orleans Pelicans in Friday's Game 3 of the Western Conference semifinal series. Curry injured his left knee on March 23 and returned to action on Tuesday when he scored 28 points off the bench in the Warriors' 121-116 victory. Star power forward Anthony Davis is averaging 23 points and 12.5 rebounds through the first two games but New Orleans may need an explosion from him in Game 3 similar to the 47-point effort he posted in the final game of the first-round series against the Portland Trail Blazers. Holiday was solid with 24 points, eight rebounds and eight assists in Game 2 after struggling to 11 points on 4-of-14 shooting in the opener. Point guard Rajon Rondo continued his strong postseason showing with 22 points and 12 assists in Game 2 and he is averaging 12.7 points and 12.7 assists in six playoff games. The Warriors shot 59 free throws (making 46) in the first two games while the Pelicans had just 20 attempts (making 16). Look for that to change now that the Pelicans are at home. Warriors are 2-10 ATS in their last 12 road games vs. a team with a home winning % of greater than .600. Pelicans are 10-1 ATS in their last 11 games overall. |

05-01-18 | Cavs v. Raptors -6.5 | Top | 113-112 | Loss | -105 | 9 h 1 m | Show |
Raptors The Cleveland Cavaliers have knocked the Toronto Raptors out of the playoffs the last two years but the Raptors are finally the favored team and hope to play like it when the teams begin their Eastern Conference semifinals matchup Tuesday night with Game 1 in Toronto. The Cavaliers won the conference final in six games over the Raptors in 2016 and swept a semifinals meeting last season en route to their third consecutive conference crown. LeBron James averaged 36 points in that sweep for Cleveland and carried his squad through a seven-game battle with the Indiana Pacers in the first round by pouring in 34.4 per game, including 45 in the 105-101 clincher Sunday. I look for LeBron and the Cavs to have very tired legs here in game one. Toronto, the top seed in the East, took six games to get rid of the Washington Wizards in the opening round led by DeMar DeRozan, who averaged 26.7 points and feels that his team is finally ready to topple Cleveland, even if the roster is roughly the same. Toronto figures to have a big advantage when the teams go to their benches, and the Raptors' reserves were given a big boost with the return of guard Fred VanVleet for Game 6 against Washington. The Cavaliers won two regular-season matchups with the Raptors at home by a total of nine points and lost in their one visit to Toronto by 34. Take the better and more rested team in the Raptors in game one. |

76ers The Boston Celtics needed everything they had to survive a seven-game, first-round series with the Milwaukee Bucks. Their reward is an Eastern Conference semifinals matchup with one of the hottest teams in the league in the rested Philadelphia 76ers, who visit second-seeded Boston for Game 1 of a rivalry-fueled best-of-seven series Monday night. The third-seeded 76ers needed five games to get past Miami in the opening round and have been waiting for an opponent since finishing that series Tuesday night, affording more rest for the team that is far healthier coming into the series. The big question heading into Game 1 will be the status of shooting guard Jaylen Brown, who left the clincher against Milwaukee due to a hamstring injury and is doubtful. Brown averaged 17.9 points against the Bucks, just a shade behind Horford (18.1), who will take on the assignment of matching up with Embiid. 76ers are 6-1 ATS in their last 7 road games. Celtics are 2-5 ATS in their last 7 Monday games. 76ers are 4-1 ATS in the last 5 meetings in Boston. |

04-28-18 | Pelicans +9 v. Warriors | Top | 101-123 | Loss | -101 | 11 h 59 m | Show |
Pelicans The New Orleans Pelicans were surprisingly dominant in sweeping the third-seeded Portland Trail Blazers in the first round of the playoffs, but a much bigger challenge looms. The Pelicans will try to get an early advantage when they visit the defending NBA champion Golden State Warriors in Game 1 of the Western Conference semifinals on Saturday. New Orleans superstar Anthony Davis averaged 33 points on 57.6 percent shooting and 11.8 rebounds in the four-game sweep of Portland, and the team is not intimidated by facing the defending champs. "Our guys have a hunger and they see an opportunity here and I think we'll play at our highest level and compete like crazy, and then whatever happens from that we're willing to accept," Curry sat out the last 15 games with a knee sprain and is itching to get back on the floor but is still very questionable for tonight. Davis is the unquestioned leader of the team, but guards Jrue Holiday and Rajon Rondo and power forward Nikola Mirotic are keys to an offense that is running at high speed. Holiday averaged 27.8 points on 56.8 percent shooting against the Trail Blazers while Rondo averaged 13.3 assists. Pelicans are 7-0 ATS in their last 7 games vs. a team with a winning straight up record and are 23-9 ATS in their last 32 games overall. Warriors are 3-12 ATS in their last 15 games following a straight up win and are 2-6 ATS in their last 8 home games. |

04-28-18 | Bucks v. Celtics -4.5 | Top | 96-112 | Win | 100 | 8 h 28 m | Show |
Celtics The home team won the first six games of the first-round series between Milwaukee and Boston and Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo is out to change that pattern in Saturday's Game 7. The "Greek Freak" can add to his reputation if he can steer Milwaukee past the Celtics in Boston and into the second round of the Eastern Conference playoffs. The second-seeded Celtics weren't supposed to receive such a tussle from the Bucks and are unexpectedly in need of a win to keep their season alive. The failure to close out the series in Milwaukee didn't faze most of the Boston players as they return to a venue in which they have won three times during the playoff matchup. "This is where home-court advantage comes up, where we've been playing the right way all season," second-year shooting guard Jaylen Brown told reporters. "This is where playing the right basketball all year long is going to come to a benefit. Game 7, a lot of people haven't experienced it on this team. It's crazy, and I expect nothing short of a tremendous performance from everybody." Brown (20.5) is one of five Celtics averaging in double digits in the series with center Al Horford (16.8 points, 8.8 rebounds), guard Terry Rozier (16.2), small forward Jayson Tatum (14.7) and power forward Marcus Morris (13.8) being the others. Boston won its three previous home games in the series by an average of 8.3 points. |

04-28-18 | Mariners v. Indians -1.5 | Top | 12-4 | Loss | -111 | 4 h 48 m | Show |
Indians (run-line – 1.5) Slugger Edwin Encarnacion could be starting to break out of an early-season slump and hopes to keep it going when his Cleveland Indians host the Seattle Mariners on Saturday afternoon for the third of a four-game series. Encarnacion, batting .180 overall, was one of five Indians to go deep in a 6-5 victory Friday to extend his hitting streak to six games and he boasts two blasts while registering an RBI in each of his last four games. PITCHING MATCHUP: Mariners RH Mike Leake (2-2, 6.59 ERA) vs. Indians RH Carlos Carrasco (4-0, 2.31) Leake began the season with three solid starts, including a win against Cleveland, but has been pounded for 13 runs on 19 hits over 9 1/3 innings in his last two trips to the mound. The 30-year-old Arizona State product, who registered two quality starts in his first three appearances of 2018, gave up eight runs over 3 1/3 innings last time out against the struggling Chicago White Sox. Carrasco has strung together four quality starts and limited Baltimore to one run on six hits and two walks over 7 1/3 innings to earn his fourth win Monday. The 31-year-old Venezuelan allowed five runs across 5 2/3 innings to gain the victory in his season debut at Seattle and yielded four runs total in four outings since - totaling 29 1/3 frames. Robinson Cano is 9-for-23 with two homers and two doubles against Carrasco, who is 4-2 with a 3.49 ERA in seven outings (six starts) versus Seattle. Mariners are 8-21 in their last 29 vs. a team with a winning record. Indians are 14-3 in their last 17 during game 3 of a series and are 36-16 in Carrascos last 52 starts on grass. Mariners are 0-6 in their last 6 Saturday games with Wegner behind home plate. |

04-28-18 | Rays +1.5 v. Red Sox | Top | 12-6 | Win | 100 | 4 h 42 m | Show |
Rays (run-line +1.5) Daniel Robertson is establishing himself as an everyday performer and has played a big part in the surprising seven-game winning streak for the Tampa Bay Rays. The versatile infielder, who boasts a .507 on-base percentage overall, looks to extend his hitting streak to eight games when the Rays visit the Boston Red Sox on Saturday afternoon for the middle contest of a three-game series. Robertson is 13-for-27 during his streak and belted his third homer in a 4-3 victory at Boston on Friday while catcher Wilson Ramos launched a two-run blast in the first inning and has hit safely in eight consecutive games (12-for-32). PITCHING MATCHUP: Rays RH Yonny Chirinos (0-1, 2.92 ERA) vs. Red Sox LH David Price (2-2, 2.93) Chirinos has not been as good in his last two starts (eight runs allowed, 10 1/3 innings) as he was in his first two major league starts (10 1/3 scoreless innings, seven hits given up). The 24-year-old Venezuelan struck out a season-high six over 4 2/3 innings while giving up two runs and four hits in a no-decision against Minnesota last time out. Chirinos faced the Red Sox in his first two big-league appearances, yielding four hits across nine scoreless innings with seven strikeouts and one walk. Price suffered his second loss in three starts last Sunday when he surrendered four runs on nine hits over 7 2/3 innings at Oakland in a 4-1 setback. The 32-year-old Vanderbilt product limited the Rays to seven hits in 14 scoreless innings in two starts to open the season but has walked 10 batters in his last four outings (20 2/3 innings). Rays are 6-0 in their last 6 games following a win. |

04-27-18 | Thunder v. Jazz -6 | Top | 91-96 | Loss | -111 | 11 h 55 m | Show |
Jazz The Oklahoma City Thunder staged a comeback for the ages to avoid elimination and now attempt to tie the first-round series against the host Utah Jazz at three games apiece on Friday. Oklahoma City trailed by 25 points with 20 1/2 minutes to play in Wednesday's Game 5 before roaring back to record a 107-99 victory. Point guard Russell Westbrook scored 33 of his 45 points and in the second half while Paul George tallied 21 of his 34 after halftime as the unexpected explosion kept the Thunder alive. The Jazz will need to put the epic collapse behind them after it looked like they were on their way to finishing off Oklahoma City in five games. The Utah collapse occurred during a time center Rudy Gobert picked up his fourth foul and then - after an 81-second return - his fifth foul and there was no recovering from the assault. I look for the Jazz to put that game behind them and close out the series here at home. |

04-25-18 | Jazz +4 v. Thunder | Top | 99-107 | Loss | -107 | 10 h 47 m | Show |
Jazz The Utah Jazz won the last three games of a contentious Western Conference first-round series and aim to close out Oklahoma City when they visit the Thunder in Wednesday's Game 5. The Jazz averaged 114 points while winning two games on their home floor and now look to hand Oklahoma City a bitter home setback. Standout guard Donovan Mitchell is averaging 27.5 points and 8.5 rebounds as the best player in the series and his 33-point effort in Game 4 represents the most scored by a rookie in franchise playoff history, surpassing Karl Malone (31 in 1986). Rubio is having a solid series with averages of 18.5 points, eight assists, 7.8 rebounds and two steals while small forward Joe Ingles has exposed George the past two games while knocking down 10 3-pointers and averaging 20.5 points. Gobert has recorded three straight double-doubles and is averaging 15.3 points and 11 rebounds in the series. Jazz are 13-3 ATS in their last 16 road games vs. a team with a winning home record. Thunder are 1-5-1 ATS in their last 7 home games. |

04-25-18 | Pacers +6.5 v. Cavs | Top | 95-98 | Win | 100 | 7 h 14 m | Show |
Pacers Every time it looks like the Cleveland Cavaliers are about to roll over and end their reign atop the Eastern Conference, they bounce right back with a win. The Cavaliers will try to take the lead for the first time in the best-of-seven, first-round series when they host the Indiana Pacers in Game 5 on Wednesday. Cleveland had a chance to take the series lead in Game 3 and could not hold onto a 17-point advantage in a 92-90 loss, but LeBron James took over down the stretch in Game 4 and guided his team to a 104-100 triumph and tie the series at two games apiece. The Pacers are showing plenty of fight in the series and are undaunted by Cleveland taking back homecourt advantage. "It's 0-0 and it's anybody's series right now," center Myles Turner told reporters. "And we've gotta be the hungry team. We've got a road win before, and we gotta go do it again." Indiana placed seven scorers in double figures in the Game 4 loss but All-Star Victor Oladipo struggled to 5-of-20 from the floor and Game 3 hero Bojan Bogdanovic went 4-of-13. Look for both of them to step up their game tonight. Pacers are 6-0 ATS in their last 6 games following a straight up loss and are 8-1 ATS in their last 9 road games vs. a team with a home winning % of greater than .600. Cavaliers are 16-36-1 ATS in their last 53 home games and are 2-8 ATS in their last 10 games playing on 2 days rest. Pacers are 6-1 ATS in the last 7 meetings in Cleveland. |

04-23-18 | Thunder v. Jazz -4 | Top | 96-113 | Win | 100 | 11 h 56 m | Show |
Jazz The Utah Jazz stole homecourt advantage in their best-of-seven first-round series against the Oklahoma City Thunder with a win on the road in Game 2 and made sure they held onto the edge with an emphatic win in Game 3. The Jazz will try to ride their hot-shooting backcourt to a 3-1 series advantage when they host the Thunder in Game 4 on Monday. Utah went 28-13 at home during the regular season and treated their fans to strong Game 3 effort that included a triple-double from point guard Ricky Rubio and a double-double from shooting guard Donovan Mitchell. Rubio's triple-double mostly came while he was being guarded by reigning MVP Russell Westbrook, who promised to tighten up the defense in Game 4. That’s going to be tough to do. Westbrook, who averaged a triple-double in each of the last two regular seasons, finished with 14 points on 5-of-17 shooting, 11 rebounds and nine assists in Saturday's loss but also committed eight turnovers. Utah enjoyed a 56-37 advantage on the glass in Game 3. Thunder are 7-19 ATS in their last 26 vs. NBA Northwest. Jazz are 8-3 ATS in their last 11 Conference Quarterfinals games. Lay the points with the Jazz at home. |

04-23-18 | Rockets -6 v. Wolves | Top | 119-100 | Win | 100 | 8 h 26 m | Show |
Rockets The franchise's first home playoff game since 2004 gave the Minnesota Timberwolves all the juice they needed to steal Game 3 and get back into the first-round Western Conference series against the top-seeded Houston Rockets. The Timberwolves will try to ride that wave to an even best-of-seven series when they host the Rockets in Game 4 on Monday. Minnesota shot 50 percent from the floor, 55.6 percent from 3-point range and handed out 29 assists against seven turnovers in Game 3 while rolling to a 121-105 win. I do not think they can duplicate that tonight. Houston star James Harden scored 29 points in Game 3 to bounce back from a 2-of-18 shooting effort in Game 2 but shooting guard Eric Gordon continues to struggle. Gordon, who averaged 18 points during the regular season, is putting up 10.3 points in the postseason on 28.2 percent shooting and is 6-of-26 from 3-point range. I feel he steps up his game tonight. Minnesota All-Star swingman Jimmy Butler averaged 12 points in the first two games of the series and attempted a total of 17 shots but was a different player in front of the home fans. Rockets are 5-2 ATS in the last 7 meetings and I’ll back them here in game four. |

04-22-18 | Warriors -6.5 v. Spurs | Top | 90-103 | Loss | -102 | 4 h 60 m | Show |
Warriors The Golden State Warriors cruised to wins in each of the first three games in the first round of the Western Conference playoffs and will look to sweep the San Antonio Spurs out of the postseason for the second straight year on Sunday. The Warriors, who visit San Antonio for Game 4, knocked the Spurs out in the Western Conference finals last spring and are trying to do the same two rounds earlier this time around. The Spurs were without head coach Gregg Popovich in Game 3 and he is expected to miss Game 4 as well following the death of his wife, Erin, but the team was not about to use the emotional situation as an excuse for the 110-97 Game 3 setback, but I feel that did factor in. Golden State is limiting San Antonio to an average of 96.7 points in the series, and the defensive effort of All-Star forward Draymond Green is a key. Offensively, Golden State is leaning on Durant (an average of 27.3 points in the series) and Thompson, who is shooting 63.3 percent from the floor and 65 percent from beyond the arc while averaging 25.7 points through the first three games. Warriors are 26-7 ATS in their last 33 Conference Quarterfinals games. Spurs are 0-6 ATS in their last 6 vs. NBA Pacific. Warriors are 5-1 ATS in the last 6 meetings in San Antonio. The Warriors get the sweep. |

04-21-18 | Thunder v. Jazz -4.5 | Top | 102-115 | Win | 100 | 10 h 35 m | Show |
Jazz The Utah Jazz took homecourt advantage behind rookie star Donovan Mitchell with a win at Oklahoma City in Game 2. The Jazz will try to hold onto that advantage when they host the Thunder in Game 3 of the best-of-seven Western Conference first-round series on Saturday. Utah dropped Game 1 and fell behind in Game 2 before outscoring Oklahoma City 28-16 in the fourth quarter to steal a 102-95 victory. Carmelo Anthony is off to a slow start in his first playoff series with Oklahoma City and is 11-of-31 from the floor through two games. Small forward Paul George, who dubbed himself "Playoff P," went 6-of-21 from the field in the loss. Utah’s rookie star Mitchell got some help in Game 2 from backcourt mate Ricky Rubio, who collected 22 points, nine assists and seven rebounds after struggling to 5-of-18 from the floor in Game 1. The backcourt production was matched up front by Rudy Gobert and Derrick Favors, who combined for 33 points and 31 rebounds. Mitchell's 55 points are the most for a rookie for a rookie guard in his first two playoff games, surpassing the 53 points scored by Michael Jordan. Thunder are 5-16 ATS in their last 21 vs. NBA Northwest. Jazz are 7-3 ATS in their last 10 Conference Quarterfinals games. Home team is 19-9 ATS in the last 28 meetings. |

04-21-18 | Rockets -5.5 v. Wolves | Top | 105-121 | Loss | -109 | 7 h 5 m | Show |
Rockets Houston Rockets guard James Harden is likely to take home his first NBA MVP trophy this season and is the best player on the team with the best record in the league, but he is not the whole team. The Rockets will take any offense they can get from Harden when they try to push their lead in the best-of-seven first-round series to 3-0 when they visit the Minnesota Timberwolves on Saturday. Harden went 2-of-18 from the floor in Game 2 but Houston still managed to post a 102-82 win as the NBA's leading scorer in the regular season (30.4) turned it up on the defensive end. Minnesota is struggling to get All-Star Karl-Anthony Towns involved in the offense, and the center totaled 13 points on 5-of-18 shooting in the first two games after averaging 21.3 points during the regular season. Houston's supporting cast stepped up to help Harden on Wednesday, with Houston native Gerald Green coming off the bench for 21 points and Trevor Ariza adding 15. Paul added 27 points and eight assists in Game 2. Rockets are 8-3 ATS in their last 11 road games vs. a team with a home winning % of greater than .600. Timberwolves are 1-5 ATS in their last 6 home games vs. a team with a road winning % of greater than .600. Rockets are 14-6 ATS in the last 20 meetings in Minnesota and are 5-1 ATS in the last 6 meetings. |

04-21-18 | Indians -1.5 v. Orioles | Top | 4-0 | Win | 100 | 3 h 19 m | Show |
Indians (run-line) Baltimore Orioles right-hander Chris Tillman is coming off the worst year of his career, winning once in 24 appearances and posting an exorbitant 7.84 ERA. The 2017 season has started in similar fashion for the 30-year-old Tillman, who seeks his first win since May 7 when he makes his first home start against the visiting Cleveland Indians on Saturday afternoon. Baltimore kicked off its 10-game homestand by finally halting a string of six straight losses with a 3-1 victory over the Indians in Friday's opener of a four-game set. Cleveland has dropped two in a row after winning six of seven and was limited to one run in each of the past two games while failing to score in the final eight innings Friday. Right-hander Mike Clevinger, a 12-game winner a year ago, looks to stay unbeaten against the Orioles when he makes his fourth career start against them. Clevinger has made three starts against Baltimore, going 2-0 with a 3.60 ERA. Tillman has turned in three sub-par starts and is coming off a wretched performance last time out at Boston when he was battered for six runs and seven hits in two-plus innings. Indians are 9-1 in Clevingers last 10 starts. Orioles are 2-12 in their last 14 games following a win. |

04-20-18 | Cavs v. Pacers | Top | 90-92 | Win | 100 | 6 h 42 m | Show |
Pacers The Cleveland Cavaliers asked LeBron James to come out aggressive in Game 2 and lead them to victory over the Indiana Pacers, and he delivered. James will try to get more help and give the Cavaliers the upper hand when the first-round Eastern Conference series shifts to Indiana for Game 3 on Friday tied at one win apiece. James scored the team's first 16 points to set the tone and finished with 46 as Cleveland barely hung up for a 100-97 victory in Game 2 on Wednesday. The Pacers dominated the first quarter en route to a Game 1 victory and remain confident heading home despite the tight loss in Game 2. The Pacers shot 52.6 percent from the floor in Game 2 but struggled to 6-of-22 from 3-point range and committed 17 turnovers. I look for them to improve on that here in game three. Indiana outscored Cleveland 62-30 in the paint in Game 2. Cavaliers are 5-13 ATS in their last 18 road games vs. a team with a winning home record. Pacers are 8-1 ATS in their last 9 games vs. a team with a winning straight up record. Cavaliers are 5-15-1 ATS in the last 21 meetings. |

04-19-18 | Warriors -4 v. Spurs | Top | 110-97 | Win | 100 | 9 h 50 m | Show |
Warriors The San Antonio Spurs have their backs against the wall and badly need a victory when they host the Golden State Warriors on Thursday. The Spurs dropped the first two games of the best-of-seven series by an average of 18 points and hope to turn things around on the home floor. Seventh-seeded San Antonio is having trouble matching up with the second-seeded Warriors - not having star forward Kawhi Leonard (quadriceps) isn't helping matters. Golden State's offense is clicking despite the absence of star guard Stephen Curry (knee) as the squad averaged 114.5 points over the first two games. Shooting guard Klay Thompson is averaging 29 points in the series and Kevin Durant is contributing 28 per game. San Antonio was just 4-of-28 from 3-point range in Game 2, while the Warriors were 15-of-31. The Warriors have won 10 of their past 11 games against the Spurs, including a four-game sweep in last season's Western Conference finals. Warriors are 25-7 ATS in their last 32 Conference Quarterfinals games. Spurs are 0-5 ATS in their last 5 vs. NBA Pacific. Warriors are 7-2 ATS in the last 9 meetings. |

04-18-18 | Pacers +8 v. Cavs | Top | 97-100 | Win | 100 | 8 h 59 m | Show |
Pacers LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers had two full days off to consider a rare terrible performance and a loss in a first-round game, and more aggression from the superstar at the start seems to be the answer. The fourth-seeded Cavaliers will try to even the Eastern Conference series at one win apiece when they host the fifth-seeded Indiana Pacers in Game 2 on Wednesday. Cleveland was down 25-8 in the first quarter on Sunday before James attempted his first field goal, and coach Tyronn Lue suggested that he needs to force the issue, no matter what the defense is giving him. The Pacers dominated on both ends of the floor in the 98-80 Game 1 triumph but they are not satisfied and I expect them to play well again tonight. Cleveland shot 38.5 percent from the floor in Game 1, including 8-of-34 from 3-point range. While I expect them to have a better shooting night I still think the Pacers get the cover in game two. Pacers are 7-1 ATS in their last 8 road games vs. a team with a home winning % of greater than .600. Cavaliers are 12-25-1 ATS in their last 38 games following a straight up loss and are 2-7 ATS in their last 9 games playing on 2 days rest. Pacers are 5-1 ATS in the last 6 meetings in Cleveland. |

04-17-18 | Pelicans +6 v. Blazers | Top | 111-102 | Win | 100 | 11 h 54 m | Show |
Pelicans Anthony Davis felt the pressure dissipating in the final seconds of the opener and now he looks to help the New Orleans Pelicans take a 2-0 lead when they visit the Portland Trail Blazers on Tuesday. Davis had never been part of a playoff win until the Pelicans posted a 97-95 victory on Saturday in the first game of the Western Conference first-round series. Davis starred with 35 points, 14 rebounds and four blocked shots as the Pelicans stunned a Portland team that won 21 of its final 24 regular-season home contests. Portland will need an improved performance if it wants to even the series as it shot just 37.8 percent from the field as well as struggling to just 36 points in the first half. Veteran point guard Rajon Rondo reminded folks why he earned the tag "Playoff Rondo" as he once again elevated his play and matched the franchise record for assists in a playoff game (17 by Chris Paul in 2008) as well as helped force Lillard into 6-of-23 shooting. Rondo has averages of 14.3 points, 9.2 assists and 1.9 steals in 97 career playoff games and coach Alvin Gentry appreciates the calmness he provides to younger less-experienced players. Pelicans are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games vs. a team with a winning straight up record. Trail Blazers are 1-5 ATS in their last 6 vs. NBA Southwest. Pelicans are 5-2 ATS in the last 7 meetings. |

04-16-18 | Heat v. 76ers -6.5 | Top | 113-103 | Loss | -102 | 8 h 44 m | Show |
76ers The Philadelphia 76ers' phenomenal 17-game winning streak now includes one playoff victory, the franchise's first in six years. The Sixers will try to make it two straight over the Miami Heat in their best-of-seven Eastern Conference first-round series when the teams meet in Game 2 on Monday in Philadelphia. The Sixers made 18-of-28 3-pointers and recorded 34 assists against just 10 turnovers in a dominant effort. The last nine of the Sixers' 17 straight wins have come without All-Star center Joel Embiid (orbital fracture), who could return as soon as Game 2 or 3. The Heat will need to get more out of their own big man, as Hassan Whiteside provided just two points on 1-of-4 shooting in 12 lackluster minutes. Miami's starters combined to shoot 13-of-40 from the field in Game 1. Including Game 1, Philadelphia won 24 of its last 25 games at Wells Fargo Center. Lay the points. |

04-14-18 | Pelicans +5.5 v. Blazers | Top | 97-95 | Win | 100 | 11 h 41 m | Show |
Pelicans Five-time All-Star Anthony Davis has never been part of a postseason victory during his stellar career and he looks to change that fact when the New Orleans Pelicans open their Western Conference first-round series on Saturday against the host Portland Trail Blazers. The Pelicans were swept in four games by the Golden State Warriors in 2015 in Davis' lone previous playoff experience. Sixth-seeded New Orleans won its final five games of the regular season and recorded its third-highest victory total (48) in franchise history, and the prime reason is the 25-year-old Davis, the star power forward who averaged 28.1 points, 11.1 rebounds and 2.6 blocked shots. The Trail Blazers are the third seed in the West, their best positioning since also being the No. 3 seed in 2000, when they reached the Western Conference finals before losing a seven-game series to the Los Angeles Lakers. The teams split four regular-season meetings, with the most recent encounter won 107-103 by Portland on March 27 when Lillard scored 41 points and Davis tallied 36 for New Orleans. Pelicans are 13-3 ATS in their last 16 games following a straight up win and are 5-0 ATS in their last 5 games overall. Pelicans are also 10-3 ATS in their last 13 road games. Trail Blazers are 7-20-2 ATS in their last 29 Conference Quarterfinals games and are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games following a ATS win. |

04-14-18 | Heat v. 76ers -6 | Top | 103-130 | Win | 100 | 8 h 10 m | Show |
76ers The Philadelphia 76ers enter the postseason on a roll but will be without All-Star center Joel Embiid when they host the Miami Heat in Saturday's opening game of the Eastern Conference first-round series. Embiid missed the final eight games of the regular season with an orbital fracture but his absence didn't stop the 76ers from stretching their winning streak to a franchise-record 16 straight games. All-Star point guard Goran Dragic missed the regular-season finale with a bone bruise in his right knee but indicated that he expects to be in the lineup for Saturday's opener but not at 100%. The 76ers Simmons recorded 10 or more assists on 10 occasions during Philadelphia's 16-game winning streak and he averages 15.8 points, 8.2 assists and 8.1 rebounds. He recorded 12 triple-doubles, second all-time among rookies behind legendary Oscar Robertson (26 in 1960-61). The teams split four regular-season meetings, with the home team winning on each occasion. Heat are 1-4-1 ATS in their last 6 games playing on 2 days rest. 76ers are 6-0 ATS in their last 6 games playing on 2 days rest and are 9-1 ATS in their last 10 games following a ATS win. Home team is 6-1-1 ATS in the last 8 meetings. |

04-11-18 | Spurs v. Pelicans -3.5 | Top | 98-122 | Win | 100 | 9 h 36 m | Show |
Pelicans Some of the drama was taken out of Wednesday's meeting when the San Antonio Spurs and the New Orleans Pelicans each clinched a playoff berth on Monday, but that doesn't mean the regular season finale is meaningless. The Pelicans and the Spurs will be fighting for seeding in the crowded Western Conference when they meet in New Orleans on Wednesday. Both teams could finish as high as fourth in the West with a win and some help on the season's final day. San Antonio's rash of injuries forced the team to lean harder on 40-year-old guard Manu Ginobili, and he responded with 17 points in each of the last two games. New Orleans was left for dead when All-Star center DeMarcus Cousins went down with a season-ending Achilles injury at the end of January but instead surged behind Davis and a strong cast of role players. New Orleans took the first two meetings this season but lost at San Antonio 98-93 in the most recent matchup on March 15. Spurs are 0-6 ATS in their last 6 road games vs. a team with a winning home record and are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games playing on 1 days rest. Pelicans are 14-3 ATS in their last 17 games following a ATS win. Spurs are 7-19 ATS in the last 26 meetings in New Orleans. |

04-11-18 | Nuggets +3.5 v. Wolves | Top | 106-112 | Loss | -102 | 9 h 36 m | Show |
Nuggets The final day of the regular season will decide seeding in each conference and give several teams a chance to get healthy or build momentum heading into the playoffs, but only one game is win or go home. The Minnesota Timberwolves host the Denver Nuggets on Wednesday, and the winner will advance to the postseason while the loser heads to the offseason earlier than anticipated. The Timberwolves were in third place in the Western Conference at several points this season and could still finish as high as fifth with a win on Wednesday and some help, or they could miss the playoffs and continue a tough stretch in which the franchise has not qualified for the postseason since 2004. The Nuggets are coming in hot with wins in the last six games and are well acquainted with win or go home basketball after needing a win to stay alive on Monday. Denver managed to overcome an 11-point, second-half deficit and earn an 88-82 victory while holding Portland to 13 points in the fourth quarter. Nuggets are 7-1-1 ATS in their last 9 vs. NBA Northwest and are 9-4-2 ATS in their last 15 road games vs. a team with a home winning % of greater than .600. Nuggets are 20-5-1 ATS in the last 26 meetings in Minnesota. Timberwolves are 4-10 ATS in their last 14 games vs. a team with a winning straight up record. |

04-10-18 | Warriors v. Jazz -7.5 | Top | 79-119 | Win | 100 | 9 h 25 m | Show |
Warriors The Utah Jazz punched their ticket to the postseason with a win over the Los Angeles Lakers on Sunday but are still waiting for the seedings to shake themselves out. The Jazz will try to lock up homecourt advantage in the first round when they host the Golden State Warriors on Tuesday. Utah finishes up at third-place Portland on Wednesday and is coming into the postseason as hot as any team in the NBA after going 28-5 over its last 33 games to surge from nine games under .500 to the top half of the West playoff bracket. The Warriors are locked into the No. 2 spot and are just trying to get themselves healthy and back in rhythm before heading to the postseason. Golden State looked more like themselves in a 117-100 win at Phoenix on Sunday that snapped a two-game slide, but they will not care about this game tonight. Utah took the last two in the series, including a 110-91 win at Golden State on March 25. |

04-05-18 | Clippers v. Jazz -7.5 | Top | 95-117 | Win | 100 | 8 h 43 m | Show |
Jazz The Los Angeles Clippers have no margin for error with four games remaining in the regular season when it comes to landing a Western Conference playoff spot. Los Angeles resides in 10th place in the West as it visits the scorching-hot Utah Jazz on Thursday. The Jazz won 26 of their past 31 games but haven't yet clinched a playoff spot, and coach Quin Snyder is tired of hearing the playoff chatter. "Our focus needs to be better," Snyder told reporters after Tuesday's 117-110 triumph over the Los Angeles Lakers. Point guard Ricky Rubio was superb against the Lakers by scoring 31 points on 10-of-15 shooting and also recording eight assists and six rebounds. Rubio had a reputation as a poor shooter during six seasons with the Minnesota Timberwolves but has proven to be a better fit for the Utah offense and is averaging 20.6 points over the past seven games. Clippers are 0-4 ATS in their last 4 vs. NBA Northwest. Jazz are 5-2 ATS in their last 7 games vs. a team with a winning straight up record. Clippers are 7-17-1 ATS in the last 25 meetings in Utah. |

04-03-18 | Celtics +2 v. Bucks | Top | 102-106 | Loss | -105 | 7 h 9 m | Show |
Celtics The Boston Celtics have won six in a row and begin a crucial two-game road trip in their quest for the top spot in the Eastern Conference when they visit the Milwaukee Bucks on Tuesday. The Celtics are two games behind the first-place Toronto Raptors, whom they visit Wednesday to finish the back-to-back. Boston defeated the Raptors 110-99 on Saturday at home to make the race for the No. 1 seed that much more interesting. Before the rematch, the Celtics must first contend with a Bucks squad that is on the verge of clinching a playoff berth and could finish as high as sixth in the East. Milwaukee won four of five and had Denver on the ropes Sunday before faltering down the stretch and dropping a 128-125 overtime affair. Boston took two of the first three meetings, including a 96-89 triumph in its one visit to Milwaukee on Oct. 26. Celtics are 7-1 ATS in their last 8 vs. Eastern Conference. Bucks are 0-6 ATS in their last 6 home games vs. a team with a winning road record. Celtics are 6-1 ATS in the last 7 meetings in Milwaukee. |

04-03-18 | Raptors v. Cavs +1 | Top | 106-112 | Win | 102 | 6 h 9 m | Show |
Cavs The Cleveland Cavaliers are getting hot at a good time and seek their ninth victory in the past 10 games when they host the Toronto Raptors on Tuesday. Cleveland's revamped roster is finding a comfort zone as the Cavaliers are in third place in the Eastern Conference, a half-game ahead of the Philadelphia 76ers. LeBron James is feeling good about Cleveland's postseason chances while fellow forward Kevin Love would like to see the Cavaliers reach the 50-victory mark. "I think we'd all like to get 50 wins," Love told reporters after Sunday's 98-87 victory over the Dallas Mavericks. Toronto holds a two-game lead over Boston for the No. 1 seed in the Eastern Conference and the gap was narrowed when the Celtics posted a 110-99 victory over the Raptors on Saturday. Toronto needs to win just two of its final six games to set a new franchise mark for victories (56-26 in 2015-16). Raptors are 0-8 ATS in their last 8 games overall. Cavaliers are 7-1 ATS in their last 8 games overall. Raptors are 2-7 ATS in the last 9 meetings in Cleveland. |

03-31-18 | Raptors -4 v. Celtics | Top | 99-110 | Loss | -115 | 8 h 3 m | Show |
Raptors The Boston Celtics have weathered a storm of injuries and somehow kept alive their chances at claiming the top seed in the Eastern Conference playoffs. They can make that race much more interesting with a win over the first-place Toronto Raptors, who visit Boston on Saturday. The Raptors exchanged losses and wins since an 11-game winning streak and capped a 2-1 homestand with a 114-110 win over Denver on Tuesday. The Celtics won the first meeting in Boston by a point before the Raptors claimed the second matchup in Toronto by 20. Toronto moved within one victory of matching the franchise record of 56 set two seasons ago after a balanced attack topped Denver, and it is welcoming the intensity of the race with the Celtics. The Celtics are coming off a West coast trip and are already shorthanded and now Al Horford has an ankle injury and very questionable tonight. |

03-30-18 | Astros -1.5 v. Rangers | Top | 1-5 | Loss | -114 | 7 h 54 m | Show |
Astros run-line The Texas Rangers have typically had their way with their Silver Boot Series rival - especially at home - over the course of time, but the Houston Astros have left little doubt recently which team holds the edge at the moment. The Astros eye a sixth straight victory in Globe Life Park on Friday when they continue a four-game set against the host Rangers. Justin Verlander worked six scoreless innings while George Springer and Jake Marisnick clubbed solo homers en route to a 4-1 win on Opening Day against Texas. Houston has been even more dominant at Globe Life Park since the start of last season, outscoring the Rangers 70-31 while taking eight of the last 10 meetings at the venue after dropping 32 of the previous 41 in Arlington. Keuchel recaptured the form last season that allowed him to claim the American League Cy Young Award in 2015, keeping his ERA below 3.00 and WHIP under 1.20 for the third time in four seasons after struggling in 2016. The 30-year-old, who drew the Opening Day nod for the team over each of the previous three years, is 40-24 with a 3.29 ERA in 89 career games (82 starts) prior to the All-Star break. Keuchel mostly had his way with the Rangers last season, going 3-1 with a 2.92 ERA in four turns. Astros are 10-1 in their last 11 vs. American League West. Rangers are 2-9 in their last 11 home games. Astros are 5-0 in the last 5 meetings. |

03-27-18 | Blazers v. Pelicans -1 | Top | 107-103 | Loss | -105 | 8 h 14 m | Show |
Pelicans The Portland Trail Blazers look to record their 15th victory in the past 17 games when they visit the New Orleans Pelicans on Tuesday. Portland's hot run allowed it to move into third place in the Western Conference, two games ahead of the Oklahoma City Thunder. New Orleans is tied for fifth place in the Western Conference with the San Antonio Spurs, just a half-game behind fourth-place Oklahoma City in the jam-packed playoff race. The Pelicans are fresh off two complete days of rest after a postponement makeup caused them to play six games in eight nights, including games on three consecutive nights. The Pelicans are 2-1 against the Trail Blazers this season and have won four of the past five meetings. Pelicans are 5-0 ATS in their last 5 home games. Trail Blazers are 1-4 ATS in the last 5 meetings in New Orleans. |

03-27-18 | Cavs -2.5 v. Heat | Top | 79-98 | Loss | -107 | 8 h 14 m | Show |
Cavs The Cleveland Cavaliers take another swing at breaking their eight-year losing streak in Miami when they visit the Heat on Tuesday. Cleveland has dropped 13 straight games in South Beach dating back to a victory on Jan. 25, 2010, when LeBron James was in the final season of his first tour of duty with Cleveland. The Cavaliers arrive on a hot streak after winning five straight games, topping 120 points in each of the past four, and intend to finish the regular season strong. Miami opens a four-game homestand after dropping its last two games and currently holds the final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference race. Heat coach Erik Spoelstra will return Tuesday after missing the first game of his 10-year head coaching career in Sunday's 113-107 overtime loss to the Indiana Pacers due to the birth of his son. The Cavaliers won two home games against the Heat this season by margins of 11 and two points. Cavaliers are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games playing on 1 days rest. Heat are 2-7 ATS in their last 9 home games vs. a team with a winning road record. |

03-24-18 | Florida State v. Michigan -4 | Top | 54-58 | Push | 0 | 9 h 52 m | Show |
Michigan Third-seeded Michigan looks to stay on course for its second Final Four appearance in six years when it faces No. 9 seed Florida State in the West Regional Final on Saturday in Los Angeles. The Wolverines set a new NCAA Tournament single-game record as eight players made at least one 3-pointer in the impressive 99-72 win against seventh-seeded Texas A&M on Thursday to advance to the Elite 8 for the third time in their last five tournament appearances. Michigan, which is coming off its most points scored in an NCAA Tournament game since 1992, has won 12 straight games, including nine in a row away from home, and can set a single-season program record with their 32nd victory at the Staples Center. Michigan has won eight of its last 12 games by double digits. Seminoles are 4-10 ATS in their last 14 vs. Big Ten. Wolverines are 13-3-1 ATS in their last 17 games vs. a team with a winning % above .600. |

03-24-18 | Lakers -5 v. Grizzlies | Top | 100-93 | Win | 100 | 8 h 19 m | Show |
Lakers The Memphis Grizzlies suffered through several embarrassing losses this season, but none was as bad as the thumping they were issued at Charlotte on Thursday. The Grizzlies will try to put that terrible performance behind them and find a better effort when they host the Los Angeles Lakers on Saturday. Memphis, which is fighting to avoid the worst record in the NBA, suffered the largest margin of defeat in franchise history and the sixth largest in NBA history with a 140-79 setback against the Hornets. The Lakers are enduring their own losing streak but are at least putting up more of a fight. "We're not losing because we're not making shots," Los Angeles coach Luke Walton told reporters after a 128-125 loss at New Orleans on Thursday. "The ball is moving, we're playing at a good pace. The reason we lost was we didn't play any defense for the majority of the game." Memphis did not play center Marc Gasol (rest) on Thursday and is without point guard Mike Conley (heel), leaving plenty of minutes for younger players. Lakers are 10-4 ATS in their last 14 games vs. a team with a losing straight up record. Grizzlies are 1-7 ATS in their last 8 games following a straight up loss. |
|||||||
03-24-18 | Pelicans +7.5 v. Rockets | Top | 91-114 | Loss | -102 | 8 h 19 m | Show |
Pelicans The New Orleans Pelicans aren't making it look easy, but they continue to find the win column. The Pelicans are in for a challenge when they try to push their winning streak to five straight on Saturday against the host Houston Rockets, who are winners of seven straight and own the best record in the NBA. Anthony Davis' late MVP push is keeping New Orleans in the top eight of the Western Conference, and it outlasted the Los Angeles Lakers 128-125 on Thursday to head into play on Friday in the No. 4 spot, 3 1/2 games in front of the ninth-place Denver Nuggets. New Orleans is thriving through a rough stretch of schedule that had it play five games in six days and had enough energy left on Thursday to outscore the Lakers 31-17 in the fourth quarter. Pelicans are 9-2 ATS in their last 11 games following a straight up win. Rockets are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games overall. Pelicans are 4-1 ATS in the last 5 meetings. |
|||||||
03-22-18 | Lakers v. Pelicans -3 | Top | 125-128 | Push | 0 | 9 h 10 m | Show |
Pelicans The New Orleans Pelicans look to sweep their three games in three nights ordeal and post their fourth consecutive overall win when they host the Los Angeles Lakers on Thursday. New Orleans' 96-92 victory over the Indiana Pacers on Wednesday was a makeup of last month's postponed game that prompted a situation in which the Pelicans will play five games in six nights. All-Star power forward Anthony Davis isn't looking fatigued and had 28 points, 13 rebounds and five blocked shots against the Pacers for his sixth double-double in the past seven games. The latest victory leaves the Pelicans three games clear of the ninth-place Denver Nuggets in the Western Conference playoff competition with just 10 games remaining. The Lakers have dropped three straight games after enjoying a stretch in which they won eight of 10 games. They suffered a 110-100 loss to the Pacers on Monday in the opener of a four-game road trip that includes stops in Memphis and Detroit. Davis dominated the Lakers in two meetings earlier this season by averaging 34.5 points on 24-of-36 shooting, 16 rebounds, three steals and 2.5 blocked shots. Combo guard Jrue Holiday (illness) was back in the lineup versus the Pacers and had 10 points and five assists after missing his first game of the season one night earlier. The Pelicans averaged 129 points while winning this season's first two meetings against the Lakers. Lakers are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games following a ATS loss. Pelicans are 8-1 ATS in their last 9 games following a ATS win. Lakers are 1-4 ATS in the last 5 meetings. |
|||||||
03-21-18 | Pacers v. Pelicans +1 | Top | 92-96 | Win | 100 | 9 h 40 m | Show |
Pelicans The Indiana Pacers make a recently added trip to the Crescent City on Wednesday as they face the New Orleans Pelicans to make up a contest that was postponed last month. The game scheduled for Feb. 7 in New Orleans had to be scrapped due to a leaky roof in the Smoothie King Center. The make-up game interrupts what was slated to be a three-game homestand for the Pacers and leaves them with seven road contests in a 10-game span. New Orleans has it even worse, as this is the middle contest of a string of three games in as many days and part of a stretch during which it plays five times in six nights. But I see New Orleans handling it well. Pacers are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 vs. NBA Southwest. Pelicans are 8-2 ATS in their last 10 after scoring 100 points or more in their previous game. |
|||||||
03-20-18 | Rockets v. Blazers +5 | Top | 115-111 | Win | 100 | 11 h 7 m | Show |
Blazers Two of the hotter teams in the NBA get together for an expected shootout when the NBA-best Houston Rockets visit the streaking Portland Trail Blazers on Tuesday. Houston has won five straight games and 26 of its last 28 while the Trail Blazers have ripped off 13 straight triumphs. Portland matched the second-best winning streak in franchise history with Sunday's 122-109 win over the Los Angeles Clippers and is three victories away from the club record set during the 1990-91 campaign. Houston defeated the New Orleans Pelicans and Minnesota Timberwolves to begin a three-game road trip and Sunday's victory over Minnesota surpassed last season's win total of 55. Small forward Maurice Harkless has suddenly gone on a hot streak and is averaging 16 points on 18-of-27 shooting over the past three games after scoring 21 on 8-of-11 shooting against the Clippers. All-Star point guard Damian Lillard, who is averaging 30.5 points in his last four games against Houston, scored 23 points on Sunday to match his career best of 15 consecutive 20-point outings. Rockets are 3-12-1 ATS in their last 16 games after scoring more than 125 points in their previous game. Trail Blazers are 8-0 ATS in their last 8 games vs. a team with a winning straight up record. Home team is 4-1 ATS in the last 5 meetings. |
|||||||
03-17-18 | Pistons v. Blazers -8.5 | Top | 87-100 | Win | 100 | 8 h 10 m | Show |
Blazers An 11-game winning streak is apparently not something that earns a team a great deal of separation in the Western Conference, though the Portland Trail Blazers have certainly improved their outlook. The Trail Blazers will try to make it 12 straight and keep their firm grasp on the No. 3 spot in the West when they host the Detroit Pistons on Saturday. Portland's 11-game surge leaves it two games up on the fourth-place Oklahoma City Thunder entering play on Friday but still only 4 1/2 games in front of the Los Angeles Clippers and Denver Nuggets tied for ninth. The Pistons' odds of making the playoffs are getting longer as they sit 5 1/5 games behind the eighth-place Miami Heat in the East heading into play on Friday. Detroit is not enjoying much success against West postseason contenders on the current six-game road trip and fell at Utah and Denver on the first two stops. Detroit was embarrassed 110-79 at Utah on Thursday and fell into a 26-point hole at Denver on Friday before coming back and making it close in a 120-113 setback. Pistons are 1-8 ATS in their last 9 road games. Trail Blazers are 16-4-1 ATS in their last 21 home games. Home team is 9-3 ATS in the last 12 meetings. |
|||||||
03-17-18 | Rockets v. Pelicans +7.5 | Top | 107-101 | Win | 100 | 5 h 10 m | Show |
Pelicans The Houston Rockets are winners of 20 of their last 21 games and are cruising toward the top seed in the Western Conference and the top overall seed in the NBA playoffs. The New Orleans Pelicans, who host the Rockets on Saturday, are in a much more tenuous position among a group of teams fighting between No. 4 and No. 10 in the West. The Pelicans enter play on Friday in sixth place in the West, one game behind the fourth-place Oklahoma City Thunder but just 1 1/2 games clear of the 10th-place Denver Nuggets. Houston MVP frontrunner James Harden is just 4-of-19 from 3-point range over the last two games. The home team took the first two meetings, with New Orleans earning a 115-113 win on Jan. 26 behind 27 points and 11 rebounds from Davis. Rockets are 2-5 ATS in their last 7 Saturday games. Pelicans are 22-8 ATS in their last 30 home games vs. a team with a road winning % of greater than .600. Rockets are 4-9 ATS in the last 13 meetings in New Orleans. |

03-16-18 | Kansas State +1 v. Creighton | Top | 69-59 | Win | 100 | 7 h 59 m | Show |
Kansas State Marcus Foster was the leading scorer at Kansas State his freshman and sophomore years, but the senior shooting guard will be up against his former team when eighth-seeded Creighton plays the No. 9 Wildcats in the first round of the South Region on Friday in Charlotte, N.C. Foster transferred to Creighton after the 2014-15 season and last week was named first-team all-Big East for the second straight year. Kansas State finished fourth in the Big 12 and advanced to the semifinals of the conference tournament, losing to Kansas for the third time this season 83-67. The Wildcats played without leading scorer Dean Wade (16.5), who sustained a foot injury in the quarterfinal win against TCU, and second-leading scorer Barry Brown (16) left after getting poked in the eye two minutes into the game. Kansas State coach Bruce Weber was optimistic after the game Friday that both would be available for the start of the NCAA Tournament. Kansas State has outscored its opponent in the paint in 23 of 33 games. |

03-16-18 | Murray State +10 v. West Virginia | Top | 68-85 | Loss | -104 | 4 h 23 m | Show |
Murry State West Virginia takes its pressing defense into a fourth straight NCAA Tournament appearance when it takes on No. 12 seed Murray State in the first round of the East Region on Friday in San Diego. The fifth-seeded Mountaineers, who were knocked out in the Sweet 16 by Gonzaga last season, utilized their frenetic style to force 16.5 turnovers per game - 10th-most in the country - and record a turnover margin of plus-five, third nationally. The Racers of the Ohio Valley Conference are making their first appearance in the tournament since 2012 and carry a 13-game winning streak - the longest active run in the country - into the event. They are led by OVC Player of the Year Jonathan Stark, who led the conference in scoring (21.8 points per game) and was 10th nationally in made 3-pointers with 109. Racers are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games following a straight up win. Mountaineers are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 non-conference games. |

03-16-18 | Butler v. Arkansas +1.5 | Top | 79-62 | Loss | -105 | 3 h 19 m | Show |
Arkansas Tenth seed Butler and No. 7 Arkansas find themselves in the same region of the NCAA Tournament for the second straight season, only this time with much different seeds. The Bulldogs and Razorbacks, who will meet Friday in the first round of the East Region at Detroit, were eliminated by eventual champion North Carolina last season in the South Region. The Bulldogs have had a see-saw campaign, going 4-6 since the start of February, but were never in doubt to make the field, particularly after reaching the semifinals of the Big East Tournament, where they lost to Villanova. The Razorbacks and coach Mike Anderson, who has guided his team to three tournament bids in seven seasons, advanced to the semifinals in the SEC Tournament before bowing to runner-up Tennessee. Jaylen Barford and Daryl Macon have averaged 18 and 16.9 points, respectively, this season for the Razorbacks, who have won eight of their last 11 games. The Razorbacks have compiled a 42-31 record in the NCAA Tournament, including 20-11 in the first round. Bulldogs are 0-4 ATS in their last 4 games overall. Razorbacks are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 non-conference games. |

03-13-18 | Hornets v. Pelicans -4.5 | Top | 115-119 | Loss | -105 | 8 h 29 m | Show |
Pelicans The New Orleans Pelicans pushed their way up the Western Conference standings with 10 straight wins and are trying not to fall too far back after dropping back-to-back contests. The Pelicans will try to find the win column again and maintain a grip on the No. 4 spot in the West when they host the Charlotte Hornets on Tuesday. New Orleans watched its winning streak come to an end while superstar Anthony Davis (ankle) sat out a loss to the Washington Wizards on Friday and could not come up with a win even in Davis' return while falling to a team behind it in the standings -- the Utah Jazz -- on Sunday. New Orleans will have to get back to it against a Hornets team that snapped a five-game slide with a 122-115 win over the lowly Phoenix Suns on Saturday. Charlotte played its way out of playoff contention in the East during the slide and is kicking off a five-game road trip against the Pelicans. New Orleans took the last three in the series, including a 101-96 win at Charlotte on Jan. 24. Hornets are 0-8 ATS in their last 8 vs. Western Conference. Pelicans are 6-0 ATS in their last 6 games vs. a team with a losing straight up record. |

03-13-18 | Clippers -6.5 v. Bulls | Top | 112-106 | Loss | -101 | 8 h 29 m | Show |
Clippers The weekend failed to provide any real separation in the Western Conference, and the Los Angeles Clippers are teetering on the edge of the top eight. The Clippers will try to take advantage of an opponent sliding to the bottom of the standings when they visit the Chicago Bulls on Tuesday in the opener of a three-game road trip. Los Angeles entered play on Monday in a virtual three-way tie for the No. 8 spot but was also sitting just 1 1/2 games behind three teams tied for No. 4. The Bulls are more focused on the bigger picture but are winners of three of their last five games, with all three wins coming against teams below them in the standings. Los Angeles took the last four in the series, including a 113-103 home win on Feb. 3. Clippers are 6-0-1 ATS in their last 7 road games vs. a team with a losing home record. Bulls are 1-11 ATS in their last 12 after scoring 100 points or more in their previous game. Clippers are 6-1 ATS in the last 7 meetings in Chicago. |

03-13-18 | Pacers v. 76ers -6 | Top | 101-98 | Loss | -105 | 7 h 28 m | Show |
76ers The Indiana Pacers jumped into third place in the Eastern Conference with a win over the No. 2 Boston Celtics on Sunday but are still charging forward with five teams hot on their trail. The Pacers will try to hold off one of those five teams when they visit the sixth-place Philadelphia 76ers on Tuesday. Indiana took advantage of a Celtics team that was missing All-Star Al Horford and lost another All-Star, point guard Kyrie Irving, during the game and just held on for a 99-97 win to open a stretch of four straight games against East playoff contenders. The 76ers are sitting in sixth place in the East but are only two games behind Indiana after finishing up a four-game road trip with a 120-97 thrashing of the Brooklyn Nets on Sunday. Philadelphia owns a 13-game winning streak on its homecourt and will play seven of its next nine games at the Wells Fargo Center. 76ers are 7-3 ATS in their last 10 home games following a road trip of 7 or more days. Favorite is 4-0 ATS in the last 4 meetings. |

03-10-18 | Magic v. Clippers -11.5 | Top | 105-113 | Loss | -100 | 11 h 23 m | Show |
Clippers The Los Angeles Clippers take aim at defeating Orlando for the ninth consecutive time when they host the Magic on Saturday. The Clippers have won the previous eight meetings by an average of 14.1 points, including a 106-95 victory at Orlando on Dec. 13. Los Angeles has won 12 of its past 17 games and will be looking to avoid a letdown after recording a solid 116-102 home victory over LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers on Friday. The Magic have lost 10 of their last 12 games and Friday's 94-88 loss to the Sacramento Kings dropped them to 0-3 on a five-game road swing. Orlando is without its top two scorers in power forward Aaron Gordon (concussion) and small forward Evan Fournier (sprained MCL in his left knee). Magic are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games vs. a team with a winning straight up record. Clippers are 12-3-1 ATS in their last 16 games vs. a team with a winning % below .400 and are 6-1 ATS in their last 7 vs. NBA Southeast. Favorite is 20-4-2 ATS in the last 26 meetings. |

03-09-18 | Warriors v. Blazers +1 | Top | 108-125 | Win | 100 | 9 h 30 m | Show |
Blazers Golden State Warriors star point guard Stephen Curry won't be in uniform Friday when two of the hottest teams in the NBA clash in Portland. Curry injured his right ankle during Thursday's 110-107 victory over the San Antonio Spurs and will sit out a contest in which the Warriors seek their eighth straight win while facing a Trail Blazers' squad searching for its ninth consecutive victory. Portland has been thriving as All-Star point guard Damian Lillard has been on a lava-like roll with 354 points over the past 10 games - the most productive such streak in franchise history. Lillard had 44 points and eight assists as the Trail Blazers posted a 123-117 victory Feb. 14 to end a seven-game slide in the series and begin their current winning streak. Warriors are 1-5 ATS in their last 6 road games vs. a team with a winning home record. Trail Blazers are 12-3-1 ATS in their last 16 home games. |

03-07-18 | Pelicans -5.5 v. Kings | Top | 114-101 | Win | 100 | 11 h 42 m | Show |
Pelicans The New Orleans Pelicans attempt to equal their longest winning streak in seven years when they visit the Sacramento Kings on Wednesday. The red-hot Pelicans rode All-Star power forward Anthony Davis to their ninth consecutive victory Tuesday to move within one of the 10-game run by the 2010-11 club that was led by Chris Paul. Davis recorded 41 points, 13 rebounds, three steals and three blocked shots as the Pelicans posted a 121-116 road victory Tuesday and he scored 31 of those points in the second half after leaving briefly in the second quarter after taking a blow to the ribs. Davis is averaging 34.5 points over the past 13 games while scoring 40 or more on six occasions and falling two points short two other times. Pelicans are 6-0 ATS in their last 6 road games. Kings are 13-35-3 ATS in their last 51 games playing on 2 days rest. |
|||||||
03-07-18 | Raptors -5.5 v. Pistons | Top | 121-119 | Loss | -100 | 9 h 41 m | Show |
Raptors The Toronto Raptors will try to increase their lead atop the Eastern Conference when they put a five-game winning streak on the line at the Detroit Pistons on Wednesday. A strong fourth quarter led the Raptors to a 106-90 win over Atlanta at home Tuesday night, giving Toronto a season high-tying two-game lead in the East. The Pistons have lost three straight for the third time in less than a month and are in danger of falling out of playoff contention. They sit 4 1/2 games behind eighth-place Miami with 18 to play - 10 of which will take place on the road. The Raptors have scored at least 100 points in 16 straight games, which is tied for the franchise record. Raptors are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 road games. Pistons are 1-6 ATS in their last 7 games vs. a team with a winning straight up record and are 1-7 ATS in their last 8 games playing on 1 days rest. Raptors are 8-2 ATS in the last 10 meetings in Detroit. |

03-07-18 | Jazz v. Pacers +1 | Top | 104-84 | Loss | -104 | 8 h 41 m | Show |
Pacers The Indiana Pacers worked their way into the No. 4 spot in the Eastern Conference with wins in three straight and are aiming for No. 3. The Utah Jazz, who visit the Pacers on Wednesday, are in their own playoff battle but are on the outside looking in at 10th place in the West despite their own three-game surge. Indiana entered play Tuesday a half-game behind the Cleveland Cavaliers for the No. 3 spot but just three games above the No. 8 spot in a tightly packed East. The Jazz are winners of 15 of their last 17 games but still entered play on Tuesday 1 1/2 games out of the No. 8 spot in the West -- just four games behind the No. 3 Portland Trail Blazers. Oladipo committed a career-high 10 turnovers on Monday but shooting guard Bojan Bogdanovic stepped up to carry the offense with 29 points. Bogdanovic is averaging 21.6 points on 56.5 percent shooting, including 57.7 from beyond the arc, over the last five games. Indiana earned a 109-94 win at Utah on Jan. 15. Jazz are 1-5 ATS in their last 6 games following a straight up win. Pacers are 6-1 ATS in their last 7 games following a ATS win. |

03-06-18 | Nuggets -5 v. Mavs | Top | 107-118 | Loss | -103 | 10 h 47 m | Show |
Nuggets The Denver Nuggets finally found some success on the road to go with their stellar play at home and they look to cap a perfect three-game road trip with a visit to the Dallas Mavericks on Tuesday. The Nuggets began the trip with a 9-19 mark away from home but knocked off Memphis and Cleveland to maintain their hold on the eighth spot in the Western Conference playoff race. The Mavericks are among four teams separated by one game at the bottom of the conference. They were throttled 126-109 by New Orleans in the opener of a four-game homestand on Sunday. Nuggets are 14-5-1 ATS in their last 20 road games vs. a team with a home winning % of less than .400. |
|||||||
03-06-18 | Rockets -5 v. Thunder | Top | 122-112 | Win | 100 | 9 h 27 m | Show |
Rockets The Houston Rockets will try to snap a tie for the second-longest winning streak in franchise history when they carry their 15-game run into Oklahoma City for a matchup with the Thunder on Tuesday. A 123-120 win over Boston at home over the weekend tied the Rockets' streak with two others established in both 1992-93 and 1993-94, seven shy of the franchise mark of 22 established in 2007-08. The win over the Celtics allowed Houston to maintain a slim margin over Golden State for the top spot in the Western Conference and offered another reminder to the Rockets that they will be getting everyone's best shot going down the stretch. The Thunder are in the middle of an eight-team battle for six spots in the West and they sunk to seventh in the conference after falling 108-100 at Portland on Saturday. They've won five of seven overall but all five wins came against some of the worst teams in the NBA and Oklahoma City has not defeated a winning opponent since Feb. 6. Rockets are 9-1 ATS in their last 10 games vs. a team with a winning straight up record and are 13-3 ATS in their last 16 vs. NBA Northwest. Thunder are 1-6 ATS in their last 7 games vs. a team with a winning straight up record. Rockets are 7-1 ATS in the last 8 meetings in Oklahoma City. |

03-04-18 | Pelicans -3.5 v. Mavs | Top | 126-109 | Win | 100 | 8 h 33 m | Show |
Pelicans The New Orleans Pelicans are being pulled forward by superstar Anthony Davis and are in a crowded race for the No. 3 spot in the Western Conference. Davis will try to lead the Pelicans to an eighth straight win when they visit the Dallas Mavericks on Sunday. Davis stepped up his level of play when All-Star center DeMarcus Cousins went down with an Achilles injury and was rewarded with a Western Conference Player of the Month Award for his work in February. Davis averaged 35 points and 13 rebounds in February and finished it off with his ninth double-double of the month in a 121-116 win at San Antonio on Wednesday. New Orleans entered play on Saturday a half-game behind four teams tied for the No. 3 spot in the West and overcame double-digit deficits in each of its last three triumphs. The Mavericks are not enjoying quite as much success and are still looking for their 20th win after dropping six of the last seven games. Pelicans are 10-1 ATS in their last 11 road games vs. a team with a home winning % of less than .400. |
|||||||
03-04-18 | Pacers v. Wizards -4 | Top | 98-95 | Loss | -105 | 7 h 32 m | Show |
Wizards The battle for homecourt advantage in the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs is crowded at the moment, with the Washington Wizards trying to hold off several teams for the No. 4 spot. The Indiana Pacers, who visit the Wizards on Sunday, are a half-game back for the No. 4 spot and are bouncing back after a pair of ugly losses. The Pacers dropped the first two games of the road trip at lowly Dallas and Atlanta before recovering to knock off another contender for the No. 4 spot with a 103-96 triumph at Milwaukee on Friday. The Wizards aren't riding the same kind of momentum into the matchup after coming up just short in back-to-back losses to two teams at or near the top of their respective conferences in Golden State and Toronto. But I look for a full effort here by Washington. Washington took the last four in the series, including a 111-102 win at Indiana on Feb. 5. Pacers are 2-5 ATS in their last 7 vs. NBA Southeast. Wizards are 10-2 ATS in their last 12 when their opponent scores 100 points or more in their previous game. |
|||||||
03-03-18 | Thunder v. Blazers -4 | Top | 100-108 | Win | 100 | 11 h 54 m | Show |
Trail Blazers The Portland Trail Blazers seek to extend their season-best winning streak to six consecutive games when they host the Oklahoma City Thunder on Saturday. The run that has seen the Trail Blazers reach a season-best 10 games over .500 has placed the team in the midst of the battle for third place in Western Conference. Portland has won both meetings with the Thunder this season and one of the victories occurred with All-Star point guard Damian Lillard sidelined with a calf injury. Oklahoma City, like the Trail Blazers, is among the five teams battling for third in the tightly packed West, which has led to Lillard calling every game "huge" the rest of the season. The Trail Blazers have won the past four meetings. Thunder are 2-12 ATS in their last 14 vs. NBA Northwest. Trail Blazers are 8-1 ATS in their last 9 home games. |

03-02-18 | Hornets v. 76ers -4 | Top | 99-110 | Win | 100 | 7 h 60 m | Show |
76ers The rising Philadelphia 76ers suddenly are one of the hottest teams in the NBA, and they also have a signature victory about which to boast. Philadelphia looks to avoid a letdown when it hosts the Charlotte Hornets on Friday, one night after an impressive 108-97 victory at Cleveland that represented its eighth win in 10 games. The 76ers are in sixth place in the Eastern Conference and certainly were in a rejoicing mood after ending an 11-game losing streak against the Cavaliers. Charlotte had won five straight games - the last four by at least 15 points - before being hammered 134-106 by Boston in Wednesday's opener of a three-game road trip. Hornets are 1-6 ATS in their last 7 road games. 76ers are 7-0 ATS in their last 7 home games vs. a team with a losing road record and  are 9-1 ATS in their last 10 home games. |
|||||||
02-28-18 | Warriors v. Wizards +9 | Top | 109-101 | Win | 100 | 9 h 16 m | Show |
Wizards The Golden State Warriors insist there are no distractions associated with their once-per-season visit to the nation's capital as they face the Washington Wizards on Wednesday. The Warriors had no interest in making the customary White House visit that is tradition for NBA champions and instead spent their off-day on Tuesday hanging out with children at an African-American museum. On the basketball front, the Warriors have won three consecutive games and six of seven but trail streaking Houston by one-half game in the battle for the top seed in the Western Conference. While the Warriors were enjoying the city sights, the Wizards were posting a 107-104 triumph in Milwaukee on Tuesday. Washington has won five of its last six contests and begins a four-game homestand with the matchup against Golden State, which will be followed by a visit from Eastern Conference-leading Toronto. Warriors are 4-9-1 ATS in their last 14 games following a straight up win of more than 10 points. Wizards are 9-1 ATS in their last 10 when their opponent scores 100 points or more in their previous game. |
|||||||
02-28-18 | Pacers -5 v. Hawks | Top | 102-107 | Loss | -105 | 9 h 45 m | Show |
Pacers The Indiana Pacers suffered an odd letdown on Monday at the lowly Dallas Mavericks to snap a four-game winning streak. The Pacers had no trouble with the Hawks at home in their previous game and will try to pick on the Eastern Conference's worst team again when they visit Atlanta on Wednesday. Indiana, which is among a pack of teams jockeying for position in the top eight of the East, fell to 13-15 on the road with Monday's setback. Indiana was sharper on the defensive end in Friday's 116-93 win over the Hawks, forcing 22 turnovers and limiting Atlanta to 22.6 percent from 3-point range. The Hawks continued their swoon with another lopsided on Monday, dropping a 123-104 decision to the Los Angeles Lakers in the opener of a four-game homestand. Indiana took the last four in the series, including a 105-95 win at Atlanta on Dec. 20. Pacers are 6-2 ATS in their last 8 road games vs. a team with a losing home record. Hawks are 4-11 ATS in their last 15 vs. Eastern Conference. Pacers are 4-0 ATS in the last 4 meetings. |
|||||||
02-27-18 | Clippers v. Nuggets -4.5 | Top | 122-120 | Loss | -105 | 11 h 9 m | Show |
Nuggets The Denver Nuggets and Los Angeles Clippers are in direct competition for the No. 8 spot in the Western Conference right now, though they are two of eight teams tightly clustered from the Nos. 3-10 spots. The Clippers will try to make up a one-game deficit to the Nuggets when they visit Denver on Tuesday. Los Angeles won eight of its last 11 games to stay in the race in the West and is finally at the end of a seven-game road trip that bridged the All-Star break. The Nuggets are hot as well with wins in seven of the last nine but had a four-game winning streak snapped in a 119-114 loss to Houston on Sunday. Clippers are 1-5 ATS in their last 6 vs. NBA Northwest. Nuggets are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games playing on 1 days rest. Clippers are 2-7 ATS in the last 9 meetings in Denver. |
|||||||
02-26-18 | Rockets -2.5 v. Jazz | Top | 96-85 | Win | 100 | 9 h 47 m | Show |
Rockets The Houston Rockets try for their 13th straight victory and first season series sweep of Utah since 1981-82 when they visit the Jazz on Monday. Houston, which has won 16 of its last 17 games and leads Golden State by one-half game for the NBA's best record, began a three-game road trip with a 119-114 victory over Denver on Sunday as James Harden continued his MVP-type season with 41 points, eight rebounds and seven assists. The Rockets' narrowest triumph during their streak came Sunday, and their average margin of victory is 13.5 points. Utah bounced back from having its 11-game winning streak snapped with a 97-90 triumph over Dallas on Saturday and is 10th in the Western Conference, two games behind the Nuggets for the eighth and final playoff spot. The Rockets are 30-1 when Harden, Capela and Chris Paul are in the lineup, with the only blemish being a 115-113 setback on Jan. 26 at New Orleans. Rockets are 7-0 ATS in their last 7 games vs. a team with a winning straight up record. Jazz are 0-4 ATS in their last 4 vs. Western Conference. |
|||||||
02-26-18 | Pacers -3 v. Mavs | Top | 103-109 | Loss | -101 | 8 h 16 m | Show |
Pacers The Indiana Pacers are winners of four in a row and are only one game behind the Cleveland Cavaliers for the No. 3 spot in the Eastern Conference. The Pacers will try to make it five straight when they open a four-game trip by visiting the lowly Dallas Mavericks on Monday. Indiana gets the luxury of starting its road trip against two teams near the bottom of their respective conference with a trip to Atlanta on tap for Wednesday and came out of the All-Star break by blasting the Hawks 116-93 at home on Friday. The Mavericks are last in the NBA in rebounding differential at minus-4.7 and enter the week losers of four straight and 11 of the last 13. Pacers are 6-1 ATS in their last 7 road games vs. a team with a losing home record. Mavericks are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 home games. Pacers are 7-2 ATS in the last 9 meetings in Dallas. |

02-24-18 | Celtics -4.5 v. Knicks | Top | 121-112 | Win | 100 | 9 h 56 m | Show |
Celtics The Boston Celtics emerged from the All-Star break looking more like the team that led the Eastern Conference for the bulk of the first half of the season. They will try to build upon a solid showing in a win at Detroit when they wrap up a road back-to-back at the New York Knicks on Saturday. Rookie Daniel Theis paced a balanced attack with a career-high 19 points in Boston's 110-98 victory over the Pistons, snapping the team's three-game slide and pulling it within a game of first-place Toronto in the East. Kyrie Irving produced 18 points and Jayson Tatum added 15 for the Celtics, who are 6-4 in the second half of back-to-backs but 5-2 when they come on the road. The Knicks dropped eight straight games before the break but snapped the skid with a 120-113 victory at Orlando on Thursday. Boston's bench outscored Detroit's by a whopping 65-21 margin, as Theis was one of four reserves to score at least 11 points, including Marcus Smart (12 points) in his return from a hand laceration. Boston won two of the first three meetings and recorded its largest margin of victory this season with a 103-73 triumph over New York at home on Jan. 31. |

02-23-18 | Cavs -5 v. Grizzlies | Top | 112-89 | Win | 100 | 6 h 32 m | Show |
Cavs The new-look Cleveland Cavaliers got off to a bumpy start when the season resumed following the All-Star break. Cleveland looks for a better showing when it visits the Memphis Grizzlies on Friday, one night after suffering a 110-103 home loss against Washington. The Cavaliers added four new players at the trade deadline in hopes of sparking a sprint to the finish, but their four-game winning streak was halted by the Wizards. All-Star LeBron James scored 14 of his 32 points in the fourth quarter, but Cleveland barely reached 100 after averaging 126 during the string of wins. The Grizzlies have lost seven straight games and nine of their last 10 as they try to upset the revamped Cavaliers. James recorded 34 points and 12 assists in the Cavaliers' win over the Grizzlies on Dec. 2. |
|||||||
02-22-18 | Knicks v. Magic -3.5 | Top | 120-113 | Loss | -105 | 9 h 44 m | Show |
Magic The New York Knicks' loss of All-Star forward Kristaps Porzingis to a season-ending knee injury and an eight-game slide going into the All-Star break altered the team's plans for the remainder of the regular season. The Knicks are expected to give younger players big roles the rest of the way, beginning with a visit to Orlando to face the Magic on Thursday. New York leaned hard on veteran point guard Jarrett Jack, 34, while attempting to make a playoff push before the break but is expected to replace him in the starting lineup with some combination of rookie Frank Ntilikina, recently-acquired Emmanuel Mudiay, 21, and Trey Burke, 25. The Magic are fighting to stay off the bottom of the Eastern Conference and come out of the break one game ahead of the last-place Atlanta Hawks after dropping three straight by single digits. That three-game slide comes on the heels of a three-game winning streak for Orlando, which is hoping to maintain a solid level of play while bringing center Nikola Vucevic (hand) and power forward Aaron Gordon (hip) back from injury after the break. Orlando took the first two meetings this season, including a 112-99 home win on Nov. 8. |
|||||||
02-15-18 | Lakers v. Wolves -10 | Top | 111-119 | Loss | -108 | 10 h 24 m | Show |
Timberwolves The Minnesota Timberwolves have enjoyed a memorable three-quarters of a season but are dragging a bit as they enter Thursday's game against the visiting Los Angeles Lakers. Minnesota was 13 games above .500 just 3 1/2 weeks ago but has gone just 4-7 since as it plays its final contest prior to the All-Star break. The Timberwolves are looking to start a new home winning streak after their 13-game run ended when they were outgunned 126-108 by Houston on Tuesday. All-Star center Karl-Anthony Towns leads the NBA with 50 double-doubles, including a performance against the Rockets in which he recorded 35 points on 12-of-16 shooting and 12 rebounds. Los Angeles has experienced defensive issues on the first two stops of its three-game trek, allowing 130 points in Saturday's loss to Dallas before being hammered 139-117 by New Orleans four nights later. The Lakers have dropped four straight visits to Minneapolis, including a 114-96 loss on Jan. 1. Lakers are 0-5 ATS in their last 5 games playing on 0 days rest. Timberwolves are 10-2 ATS in their last 12 home games. Home team is 6-1 ATS in the last 7 meetings. |
|||||||
02-14-18 | Clippers v. Celtics -5 | Top | 129-119 | Loss | -108 | 9 h 17 m | Show |
Celtics The Boston Celtics will be happy to reach the All-Star break and hit the reset button, but they must first contend with a surging Los Angeles Clippers team Wednesday at TD Garden. The Celtics have dropped eight of 14 and their first two games of the three-game homestand, including an embarrassing 22-point loss to Cleveland on Sunday before Paul Pierce's number retirement ceremony. Clippers would likely prefer to keep playing through the break, having won six of their last eight. Boston is 3-5 in its last eight home games but 10-2 this season at TD Garden against the Western Conference. Clippers are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games following a ATS win. Celtics are 6-1 ATS in their last 7 after allowing 100 points or more in their previous game. |

02-14-18 | Pacers -4.5 v. Nets | Top | 108-103 | Win | 100 | 9 h 46 m | Show |
Pacers Victor Oladipo is more than validating a recent selection to the All-Star Game with three outings of 30 points or more this month and looks to remain hot when his Indiana Pacers visit the struggling Brooklyn Nets on Wednesday night. Oladipo registered 30 points, nine assists, eight rebounds and six steals as Indiana improved to 6-2 in its last eight games with a 121-113 victory over New York on Sunday. With Oladipo leading a talented young group at 24.4 points per game, the Pacers decided to stand pat at the trade deadline as they sit just one-half game out of fourth place in the Eastern Conference. The Nets were 1-4 in the last five games of January and have dropped all six in February after Monday’s 114-101 setback against the Los Angeles Clippers. The Pacers have won six straight meetings with the Nets, including three this season. Pacers are 7-1 ATS in their last 8 vs. NBA Atlantic. Nets are 1-6 ATS in their last 7 home games vs. a team with a losing road record. Pacers are 12-5 ATS in the last 17 meetings in Brooklyn. |
|||||||
02-13-18 | Rockets v. Wolves +3 | Top | 126-108 | Loss | -105 | 9 h 19 m | Show |
Timberwolves The Houston Rockets are winners of eight in a row and have a chance to go into the All-Star break in first place in the Western Conference with a couple more wins and a little help. The Minnesota Timberwolves, who host the Rockets on Tuesday, are looking for their own momentum heading into the break and have not lost on their home floor since Dec. 16. The Timberwolves, who host the Los Angeles Lakers on Thursday in their final game before the break, pushed their home winning streak to 13 in a row on Sunday but needed to work hard down the stretch to pull off a 111-106 triumph over the West-worst Sacramento Kings. Houston won its last four on the road and is making a brief stop in Minnesota after grinding out a 104-97 home win over the Dallas Mavericks. Minnesota’s Butler is averaging 29.8 points on 53.3 percent shooting over the last five games. Rockets are 2-5 ATS in their last 7 Tuesday games. Timberwolves are 10-1 ATS in their last 11 home games. Rockets are 1-4 ATS in the last 5 meetings. |
|||||||
02-07-18 | Jazz -6.5 v. Grizzlies | Top | 92-88 | Loss | -105 | 10 h 31 m | Show |
Jazz The Utah Jazz have matched their season-best winning streak and look to extend it to seven games when they visit the Memphis Grizzlies on Wednesday for the finale of their four-game road trip. The Jazz won the first three games of the trek by an average of 21.7 points and also have recorded a 30-point home win over Golden State during their overall winning streak. Utah rolled to a 133-109 victory over New Orleans on Monday behind 58.4 percent shooting, including a 14-for-21 effort from 3-point range. Memphis is sliding in the wrong direction as it has lost four straight and six of its last seven, leaving Marc Gasol peeved after Tuesday's 108-82 setback against lowly Atlanta. Utah has scored 120 or more points in four consecutive contests for the third time in franchise history (1982, 1984). Jazz are 6-0 ATS in their last 6 vs. Western Conference. Grizzlies are 4-11 ATS in their last 15 games following a straight up loss of more than 10 points. |
|||||||
02-06-18 | Wizards +6.5 v. 76ers | Top | 102-115 | Loss | -106 | 9 h 27 m | Show |
Wizards The Washington Wizards have won a season-best five straight games despite the loss of their top player and look to continue the streak when they visit the Philadelphia 76ers on Tuesday. Washington's solid stretch began when five-time All-Star John Wall went down with a knee injury that will keep him sidelined until mid-March. The Wizards have been thriving offensively without Wall, averaging 115.8 points during his absence while shooting a solid 54.9 percent during Monday's 111-102 victory over Indiana. Philadelphia is tied with Detroit for the eighth and final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference and is beginning a five-game homestand that leads into the All-Star break. The 76ers have dropped four of their last five games, including a 100-92 setback against the Pacers on Saturday. Wizards are 5-0 ATS in their last 5 vs. Eastern Conference. 76ers are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games overall. Underdog is 6-1 ATS in the last 7 meetings. |

02-06-18 | Bucks -1.5 v. Knicks | Top | 103-89 | Win | 100 | 9 h 47 m | Show |
Bucks The Milwaukee Bucks are winners of six of seven games since moving on from head coach Jason Kidd, but an injury to superstar forward Giannis Antetokounmpo could spell doom for the club. The Bucks hope to have Antetokounmpo available when they visit the struggling New York Knicks on Tuesday. Antetokounmpo twisted his right ankle in the final quarter of a 109-94 triumph over the Brooklyn Nets on Sunday -- the second time recently that he twisted the ankle -- and did not return. From my latest injury report I believe he will give it a go tonight. New York dropped its last three games and six of the last eight after squandering a late lead in a 99-96 home setback to lowly Atlanta on Sunday. Milwaukee just got another player back from injury in forward Jabari Parker, who played in his second straight game on Sunday after sitting out a year following knee surgery. Parker, 22, is easing his way back off the bench and increased his minutes from 15 to 17 on Sunday while scoring in double figures for the second straight game. 02-04-18 | Eagles +5 v. Patriots | Top | 41-33 | Win | 100 | 196 h 20 m | Show |
 Eagles + 5 I’m backing the Eagles plus the points in what I believe will be a great Super Bowl. Look for Philadelphia to run right at the Patriots defense who has had problems stopping the run all season. The Patriots don’t have much of a pass rush so I look for QB Nick Foles to have a very good game again this week after what he did to the Vikings defense in the NFC Championship game. The Patriots will get their points no doubt but with the Eagles stout defense I think Foles can and will outscore Brady. This is the 11th Super Bowl played between teams from the AFC East and NFC East. Teams from the NFC East have compiled an impressive 8-2 mark in these matchups. Ajayi is the perfect power running back to exploit a weakness in the New England Patriots defense and lead the charge toward an upset in Super Bowl LII. Eagles/Patriots over 48 Both these teams have the potential to move the ball with succus and put up points in a hurry. Look for the Eagles to play lose and try to go down field with some big throws by Foles. Brady can always make it happen and lead his team to points. Over is 12-2 in Eagles last 14 games after accumulating more than 250 yards passing in their previous game and is 10-3 in Eagles last 13 games on fieldturf. Over is 8-2 in Patriots last 10 playoff games.  17 – Props Team with the most first downs in game: #239 Eagles + 125 Three unanswered scores in game: #274 NO +130 Will the game be tied after 0-0? #277 YES -130 Will there be a lead change in the 2nd half? #281 YES +150 Will the game be decided by exactly 3 points? #299 YES +300 Will the Eagles have a rushing touchdown? #347 YES -170 Eagle player scores two or more touchdowns? #365 YES +155 Will Jay Ajayi score a touchdown? #399 YES +140 Will Alshon Jeffery score a touchdown? #425 YES +120 Eagles total points scored: #155 OVER 21 ½ -110 Special Point Spread Prop: #131 Eagles – 3.5 +260 Shortest touchdown scored in game: #225 1 ½ yards OVER +130 Total players to have a pass attempt: #329 Total Players 2 ½ OVER +160 Rushing yards by Jay Ajayi: #391 57 ½ OVER -110 MVP Award: #3152 Jay Ajayi 12/1 - 18/1 SC Which will be more? #7229 UNLV Points +4 ½ over Gronk receiving yards Which will be more? #7243 Vegas Golden Knights Goals over N.E. 02-02-18 | Blazers v. Raptors -4 | Top | 105-130 | Win | 100 | 8 h 13 m | Show |
Raptors CJ McCollum has quite a performance to follow when the Portland Trail Blazers visit the Toronto Raptors on Friday. McCollum scored a career-best 50 points in Wednesday's 124-108 victory over Chicago, with his assault beginning with a franchise-record 28-point first quarter. The Trail Blazers have won a season-best four straight games, and the latest victory was highlighted by McCollum's scoring spree - which he accomplished in just three quarters of action. The Trail Blazers have won seven of their last eight games as they prepare to face the Raptors, who are opening a four-game homestand after suffering a 122-119 loss at Washington on Thursday. All-Star shooting guard DeMar DeRozan, who was named Eastern Conference Player of the Month for January, opened the new month by registering 23 points and six assists in the loss to the Wizards. DeRozan typically has fared well versus the Trail Blazers as he has recorded a string of 11 consecutive 20-point performances and averaged 35.5 points in his last two home appearances against them. Kyle Lowry erupted for 29 points on 10-of-19 shooting against Washington after averaging 10.8 on 14-of-46 shooting over his previous four games. The Raptors have won the last five meetings, including a 99-85 victory at Portland on Oct. 30 in which DeRozan scored 25 points. |
