01-05-22 | Syracuse +2.5 v. Miami-FL | 87-88 | Win | 100 | 19 h 17 m | Show
DMACK's COLLEGE HOOPS 3-GAME POWER PACK winner is on the Syracuse Orange Miami is in first in the ACC at 11-3, 3-0 but have been the beneficiaries of a soft early schedule and three and now four home games to start conference play. Syracuse is 7-6 but against a very ambitious schedule and are already as battle tested as they'll ever be. The Cuse depends on the Boeheim Bros. dealing on the point and shooting the ball from downtown. Decent shooting nights, defensive rebounding, and no turnover has Syracuse in just about every game. |
01-05-22 | Warriors -5 v. Mavs | 82-99 | Loss | -110 | 16 h 13 m | Show
DMACK'S WEDS 3-GAME NBA POWER PACK winner is on the Golden State Warriors Dallas has won three straight with smoke and mirrors but is up against it here. Luka is about 70% and the matchup is not good for the homies Golden State is 3-1 L4 but the wins have come against Phoenix, Utah, and Miami and yes ..... the Warriors play up and down to their opponent. Golden State will be ready to play here and the returns of Klay Thompson and James Wiseman are immanent. Golden State 118-103. |
01-05-22 | Nets -6.5 v. Pacers | 129-121 | Win | 100 | 16 h 12 m | Show
DMACK'S WEDS 3-GAME NBA POWER PACK winner is on the Brooklyn Nets The Pacers are a nightmare, 2-8 L10, and now they're finding ways to lose. Look for Indiana to be a player and likely blow things up at the trade deadline. Kyrie Irving is likely to make his debut for the Nets who are off a bad loss that saw Kevin Durant go code red in the post game. The Nets will be razor sharp and focused here ... bet on it. Brooklyn 118-96. |
01-05-22 | Blues v. Penguins -135 | 3-5 | Win | 100 | 19 h 59 m | Show
DMACK'S BLUES/PENS TNT WATCH AND WIN winner is on the Pittsburgh Penguins Great TV matchup between red-hot teams. The Blues are 7-1-2 L10 while the Pens are 8-1-1 L10. The Blues have been perfect out of the break with wins over Edmonton and at Minnesota but St Louis is just (7-9, 7-6-3) on the road and they face a streaking Penguin team that is health and lit the lamp eight times on this ice just 72 hour ago. More urgency for Pitt here who plays at home and then faces fiv games in eight days on the road including four on the West Coast. With their snipers dialed in, the Penguins get a very confident call here. |
01-05-22 | 76ers -7.5 v. Magic | 116-106 | Win | 100 | 16 h 45 m | Show
DMACK'S WEDS 3-GAME NBA POWER PACK winner is on the Philadelphia 76ers Orlando may now have surpassed the Pistons as the worst team in the NBA and in the Magic's case, the only light at the end of the tunnel is a train. The 76ers may have finally flicked the switch with four straight wins. Philly is actually 13-8 on the road and just 7-8 at home. Good teams beat the teams they're supposed to beat ..... Philadelphia is supposed to beat Orlando. 76ers win 108-93. |
01-05-22 | Alabama +2 v. Florida | 83-70 | Win | 100 | 18 h 18 m | Show
DMACK's COLLEGE HOOPS 3-GAME POWER PACK winner is on the Alabama Crimson Tide The 9-3 Gators are somewhat counterfeit. Their two road losses to less than they see here make sense but the double-digit home loss to 2-8 Texas Southern is the tell. The No.14th ranked Tide is loaded and and has played well except for a couple of vapor locks. The Tide has arguably the some of the best guard play in the country led by Jayden Shackleford and their top three scorers are also the top three rebounders, all with better than five boards per game. Wrong team favored here ...... Bama by 10! |
01-04-22 | LSU +4.5 v. Kansas State | 20-42 | Loss | -110 | 38 h 20 m | Show
DMACK'S LSU/K STATE TEXAS BOWL SUPER PLAY winner is on the LSU Tigers Never thought that K State was anything more or less than a middle of the road Big 12 team and that's exactly what the turned out to be. LSU was somewhat disappointing this year considering the amount of returning starters but the team was hit hard by injuries to their offensive lie right off the git go and that proved to be more than the Tigers could overcome. The team did not quit though despite the fact that Coach O was a dead man walking. LSU could have quit but won last two including an upset of Texas A&M here. New era at LSU next year with Brian Kelly. Inerim in house staff will coach here while Kelly watches and the returning players will play like they are playing for jobs and probably to some extent are. LSU has won L3 Bowls averaging 48 per, are 13-4-1 L18 as a dog, and 6-1 when they score 27 points this year. LSU 34-17. |
01-04-22 | Suns -7 v. Pelicans | 123-110 | Win | 100 | 15 h 36 m | Show
DMACK'S TUESDAY NBA NOTHING BUT NET winner is on the Phoenix Suns The schedule makers didn't do the Pelicans any favors by with the Jazz and Suns in a B2B, even at home. The Pelicans are playing hard but are outmanned. Nola made a couple of runs at Utah las night before gassing 115-104 (+10) and tonight meet a team just as good and with an even longer bench in the Phoenix Suns. Last year's Western Conference champs bounced out of a 2-3 five game funk with a 133-99 win at Charlotte in their most recent and have had a day off before returning home to face the Clippers and Heat. Phoenix by 12-15. |
01-04-22 | Sharks v. Red Wings -110 | 2-6 | Win | 100 | 15 h 32 m | Show
DMACK'S TUESDAY NIGHT NHL ICE PICK winner is on the Detroit Red Wings The Sharks have given up a whopping 19 goals in three games since coming back from the break. James Reimer gets the call between the pipes tonight and he was shelled for six first period goals on 17 shots in his lat start before being removed. The Wings are a surprise based on their 11-5-2 home ice record but Motown came out of the break with B2B home losses to Washington and Boston (3-1, 5-1) and were unable to find the back of the net. In the grand scheme of things, this is a huge game for Detroit and as to whether or not they continue their improvement as a young team or will be a fade the rest of the way and they've certainly struggled in all respects outside of Little Caesar's Arena. This is a game the Red Wings have to win, take Detroit. |
01-04-22 | Liberty -6.5 v. Stetson | 75-59 | Win | 100 | 13 h 19 m | Show
DMACK'S ATLANTIC SUN GAME OF THE MONTH WINNER is on the Liberty Flames Much like their football program, Liberty is a team that can compete at a high level and do. The Flames four losses are on the road or neutral floor games to the likes of LSU and in the last 10 days, by five points to Stanford and BYU. Love the Hatters who have a long hoops tradition but are just not at the same level as their guests from a talent standpoint. Last year was Liberty's first year in the Atlantic Sun and they went 3-0 against the Hatters winning by 14 and 10 in the regular season and then 77-64 in the A-Sun semis. Same result here. |
01-03-22 | Browns v. Steelers -1 | 14-26 | Win | 100 | 14 h 10 m | Show
DMACK'S BROWNS/STEELERS MONDAY NIGHT MAGIC winner is on the Pittsburgh Steelers Sunday's results gave us much more clarity into the playoff picture. The Browns have been eliminated and the Steelers are on maintenance life support at best. This is likely Ben Roethlisberger's final home game as a Steeler so besides Pittsburgh's slim playoff hopes, motivation would seem to be with the Black and Gold to win this. The Browns have played hard but have lost their last two by two points which twisted the knife. Cleveland has also been owned in the series to the tune of 18-5-1 L24 and also remember the Browns did win here last year. All taken into account a in a virtual pick'em, we'll take the Steelers in a game where his teammates really strap it up with one final big effort. Pittsburgh 26-20. |
01-03-22 | Jazz -10 v. Pelicans | 115-104 | Win | 100 | 14 h 53 m | Show
DMACK'S NBA MONDAY NIGHT SLAM DUNK winner is on the Utah Jazz The 13-win Pelicans seem to have realized that they are what they are and that there is a life without Zion. Nola is 6-4 L10 and a representative 7-9 at home but up against it here who will likely by a little salty of home loss to Golden State and this being the first of a convoluted five-game East Coast swing. The Jazz have been our "Go To" with their predictable MO which is 12-3 on the road, 8-0 vs division, and 16-4 vs. the ultra tough Western Conference. Not ever anxious to play double-digits on the road but we do pick our spots and this is one of the better ones here tonight. |
01-02-22 | Suns -2 v. Hornets | 133-99 | Win | 100 | 19 h 43 m | Show
MACK ATTACK SUN NBA PLAY OF THE DAY in on the Phoenix Suns The Suns trail Golden State by a game in the West and are one game back (27-8) from the best record in basketball. Ohoenix is just 2-3 L5 but those game were while battling Covid hold outs but tonight should be close to 100% with the return of big man DeAndre Ayton. The teams met December 19th in Phoenix when Charlotte was somewhat short-handed and the Suns throttled the Hornets 137-106. Phoenix is definitely two points better than Charlotte here barring any of the Suns major players being unable to play. |
01-02-22 | Panthers v. Saints -6.5 | 10-18 | Win | 100 | 13 h 9 m | Show
DMack's Free Pick for Sun, January 2, 2022 is on the New Orleans Saints NOLA's playoff life is on life support but have more than enough here to deal with a Carolina team that is 2-10 L12 and 0-10 when it scores less than 14 points. The Saints only have two touchdowns in their L34 drives by Taysem Hill returns here and will spark the offense. This is also a revenge game for the Saints who lost 26-7 to these Panthers despite winning the last nine of eleven in the series. Looks like a perfect storm for the Saints here to take care of business. |
01-02-22 | Jets v. Golden Knights -145 | 5-4 | Loss | -145 | 16 h 36 m | Show
DMACK'S SUNDAY NHL PLAY OF THE DAY winner is on the Vegas Golden Knights Winnipeg has come back to earth after going on a big run after a tough early start. The Jets are 5-4-1 in their L10 and just 4-5-4 (4-9) on enemy ice this year. The VGK has not enjoyed the same home success that it has in the past but that was because the Knights were a stripped down version of what takes the ice tonight. The knights still have injuries but are possibly the deepest team in the league and that will shine through here. |
01-02-22 | Marist v. Iona -9 | 66-69 | Loss | -110 | 11 h 28 m | Show
DMACK'S SUN COLLEGE HOOPS SLAM DUNK winner is on the Iona Gaels Neither team has played in 10 days but that's where all similarities stop as the Gaels are coached by Rick Pitino who didn't take long to return this program to it's prior luster. Iona owns a win over No.10 Alabama and the 10-2 Gaels only losses have come against OVC heavyweight Belmont and against the Kansas Jayhawks. Iona has won four straight and cruised in their first two conference games beating these Foxes 78-71 in their own building last month. Six of seven of Iona's home wins are by double-digits and that shouldn't be an issue here. Iona 82-66. |
01-02-22 | Eagles -3 v. Washington Football Team | 20-16 | Win | 100 | 75 h 30 m | Show
DMack's Week 17 NFL Power Pack winner is on the Philadelphia Eagles The Eagles have won five of six to get back into the playoff hunt and are 8-3 ATS in their L11. Quite simply, they're doing everything you have to do win including rushing the football for 200+ a game, converting (59-119) on third down, and moving the chains. Philly has outgained its last three opponents by 551 yards. The Football Team has lost three straight to effectively end their season and were outgained 1016-494 in their last two games. Throw in a short week and we're likely talking another WFT double-digit loss. Philly 34-20. |
01-02-22 | Rams -3 v. Ravens | 20-19 | Loss | -119 | 74 h 29 m | Show
DMack's Week 17 NFL Power Pack winner is on the Los Angeles Rams Lamar Jackson tried to give it go during the week and could barely walk according to reports. All is not lost for Baltimore however as Huntley is out of the protocol and should start. The problem is the Raven defense which has allowed 9 touchdown drives in their opponents L16 against nothing like what they'll be facing here. The Rams are playing for all important positioning and will come loaded for bear. The NFC West is 10-5 as out of division road favorites this year. Rams 27-17. |
01-02-22 | Bucs -13 v. Jets | 28-24 | Loss | -102 | 74 h 23 m | Show
DMack's Week 17 NFL Power Pack winner is on the Tampa Bay Bucs Not overly concerned about this big number on the road as the Bucs have scored 30+ points in five of their last six games while the Jets have allowed and average of 32 points per game in their L10 games. The Jets are just 15-59 on third down and depending on defensive scores and the kicking game for points. Tampa Bay can name it's score here. |
01-01-22 | Canucks -110 v. Seattle Kraken | 5-2 | Win | 100 | 20 h 57 m | Show
DMACK'S NEW YEARS DAY ICE PICK winner is on the Vancouver Canucks Vancouver saw it's seven game win streak snapped in last, a 2-1 shoot-out loss at the Kings. No shame there. The team has played great with their new coach and recent front office shakeup. There has been essentially no change in personnel, just a staff that demands accountability and it has worked. Brock Boeser is expected back off the protocol list which will greatly help the offense and the face a Seattle team that has lost four straight (2-5-3, 2-8) that is paying for their horrific draft that saw them bypass talent for money and was unable to fill in the holes with players that could play. Vancouver in near pick 'em. |
01-01-22 | Baylor v. Ole Miss UNDER 58 | 21-7 | Win | 100 | 19 h 14 m | Show
DMACK'S 2021-22 BOWL TOTAL OF THE YEAR winner is on Baylor/Ole Miss UNDER It was an amazing turnaround for a Baylor team that went 2-7 last year, brought back almost everyone, and went 11-2 this year and was in the thick of the Big 12 race all year. Remember the Bears held Oklahoma to 17 points and Okie State 16 this year and allowed 28 points just twice this year. In their final four games, the Bears allowed just 311 yards per and 16 points per. Ole Miss has turned on the defense as well after the Bama debacle, playing seven straight unders and allowing just 18 points per in their L4 games, all wins. Too many points her ... PLAY THE UNDER! |
01-01-22 | Spurs -4.5 v. Pistons | 116-117 | Loss | -110 | 17 h 25 m | Show
DMACK'S NYD PLAY OF THE DAY WINNER is on the San Antonio Spurs Not the greatest of spots for the Spurs who were beat last night by the white-hot Grizzlies. That should be offset by the expected return of leading scorer and best player Dejounte Murray (17.8, 8.4, 8.8) off the Covid protocol. The meet an awful Detroit team that is 5-28, has lost four straight and is 1-20 in their L21. Wish there was some positive things to say about Motown but the team is 30th in ppg. scored and 23rd in ppg. allowed. The Spurs are still a fringe playoff team and they've hun around beating teams like these. Lat it with the Spurs. |
12-31-21 | Wolves v. Jazz -10.5 | 108-120 | Win | 100 | 15 h 38 m | Show
DMACK'S GOODBYE 2021 NBA SLAM DUNK WINNER is on the Utah Jazz Minnesota is seemingly coming together a bit after a slow start. The Wolves are just 6-8 on the road and face a Jazz outfit that specialized in blowing out people in their division (7-0) and taking care of it's business (15-3) versus the entire Western Conference. The Jazz have skated through 24 games but will start turning up the heat in the New Year as the playoff picture develops more and more clarity. |
12-31-21 | Georgia v. Michigan +8 | 34-11 | Loss | -115 | 155 h 45 m | Show
DMACK'S MICHIGAM/GEORGIA ORANGE BOWL SUPER PLAY winner is on the Michigan Wolverines Georgia got punched in the mouth by Alabama in the SEC championship game and have to wondering what happened at this point. The Bulldogs vaunted defense was shredded by Alabama and the Dawgs had no answers while the UGA was ineffective and turned the ball over. Georgia QB play has been the question all year and continues to be the question here. The Wolverines are hitting on all cylinders, winning and covering five straight while averaging 47.7 PPG. in their L3 games. The Wolverines gained 552 in the game they inexplicably gave away to Michigan State. I don't put much importance in Michigan's four straight Bowl losses, all of little importance with teams that had pretty much checked out. This would be complete vindication for earlier Harbaugh failures and the maize and blue will be ready to play. Michigan straight up .... 30-24. |
12-31-21 | Capitals -144 v. Red Wings | 3-1 | Win | 100 | 13 h 22 m | Show
DMACK'S NEW YEARS EVE ICE PICK winner is on the Washington Capitals This is the best matchup off the New Year's Even card. It features a Washington Capital team that is one of the NHL elite and a top road team at 9-3-3 in 15 games this year. The Red Wings are much improved with there good young players and have been terrific at home at 11-3-2. Backing Washington here based on the Caps prolific scoring offense, and offense that has scored 25 more goals than the Red Wings in the same number of games. The Caps have just six losses in regulation and if Washington addresses some defensive and goaltending deficiencies, the Caps will be a leading player to win the Stanley Cup. |
12-31-21 | Fairleigh Dickinson v. St Francis PA -9.5 | 70-62 | Loss | -110 | 9 h 17 m | Show
DMACK'S GODBYE TO 21 NOTHING BUT NET KILL SHOT winner is on St. Francis PA Red Flashes It's tough to explain how really bad 0-10 FDU really is. The Knights are No.346 in scoring offense out of 356 Div-I one team and dead last in the country in scoring defense. St Frank's of PA is 4-8 and nothing special but the Red Flashes can put the ball in the hoop and are seven points per game better on defense against a schedule that is basically the same in degree of difficulty. St Francis was in the game the whole way against Northeast Conference kingpin Wagner and believe the Flash will open op a can of whup ass on FDU today. |
12-31-21 | Cincinnati v. Alabama -13 | 6-27 | Win | 100 | 150 h 54 m | Show
DMACK'S BAMA/CINN COTTON BOWL SUPER PLAY winner is on the Alabama Crimson Tide The Bearcats are a dog for the first time this year, a role where they are 10-5 under Fickell. Cincinnati steps way up in class for the first time all year. With all due respect, they did beat Notre Dame but the Irish would be two touchdown dogs here as well. Bama seems to have flicked the switch at just the right time. The Tide have won seven straight, for the most part blowing people out. They got off to a slow start against a VERY good Arkansas game with Auburn on deck. Battled the whole way to finally bet Auburn and then just put an epic beatdown on Georgia in the SEC title game. Cincinnati is going to find the going a whole lot tougher than against SMU and a counterfeit Houston team. Bama 44-13. |
12-30-21 | Arizona State +6 v. Wisconsin | 13-20 | Loss | -102 | 19 h 15 m | Show
DMACK'S LAS VEGAS BOWL SUPER PLAY is on the Arizona State Sun Devils Both teams have similar M.O.s in that each teams success seems to be dependent on certain parameters. Wisconsin is 8-0 when the Badgers score 20+ points and 0-4 when they don't. Arizona has scored 28+ points in their eight wins, 21 or less in their four losses. The Badgers are No.1 in the country in total defense but their quarterback play is in the bottom 10% in the country. The Sun Devils will be without their best running back but Arizona has onlt to play their normal solid defenses and avoid the turnovers on offense that plagued them key times during the year. Herm Edwards teams come to play and if ASU is focused and dialed in, they'll have a big chance to win this game straight up. Arizona State 23-20. |
12-30-21 | Flames -140 v. Seattle Kraken | 6-4 | Win | 100 | 18 h 27 m | Show
DMACK'S THURSDAY NIGHT ICE PICK winner is on the Calgary Flames Seattle has lost three straight including a 3-2 OT loss to Philadelphia last night. Back-to-back out of the gate in the fist two days off an extended break can't be easy. This is Calgary's first game since Dec 11th. They had lost four straight before the break but one must remember that this was one of the hardest hit Covid-team's in Professional sports with as many as 30 players and staff were in the league protocol as recently as last week. Calgary if fortunate enough to have a great coach and some pretty good players. The Flames are 11-4-2 on the road and in a nice spot to take to shake the ring rust off against the struggling Krack. Calgary 5-3. |
12-30-21 | South Dakota State -3 v. North Dakota State | 90-86 | Win | 100 | 16 h 38 m | Show
DMACK'S SUMMIT CONF BATTLE OF THR DAKOTAS winner is the South Dakota State Jackrabbits This is a showdown between the two heavyweights in the Summit and tonight we side with South Dakota State. This is your prototypical Jackrabbit outfit of recent years that features superior guard play and big wings that can shoot the lights out. Sometimes its win with the three and lose by the three and the Jacks have had poor shooting nights but they've been far and few between. In fact, SDSU shoots 44% from behind the arc as a collective but also play outstanding perimeter defense that hold opponents to 34.4% from downtown. The Bison are more deliberate in approach and will be up against it if the Jacks come out early early in the game. South Dakota State 73-65. |
12-29-21 | Canucks v. Ducks +100 | 2-1 | Loss | -100 | 12 h 17 m | Show
DMACK'S WEDS NHL ICE PICK BAILOUT winner is on the Anaheim Ducks The season pause couldn't have come at a worse time for the Canucks who has won six straight after a coaching and front office shake up. The Canucks have several players in the protocol whose availability will not be known till close to game time. Anaheim has been a surprise and has been rock solid all year but especially at home where the Ducks are 10-4-3 and were 6-1-3 at the stoppage. Key here is Anaheim's superior goaltending and timely scoring which will get the Duck's through here. |
12-29-21 | Jazz -6.5 v. Blazers | 120-105 | Win | 100 | 12 h 7 m | Show
DMACK'S NBA CONFERENCE GAME OF THE WEEK winner is on the Utah Jazz The Blazers are 2-8 L10 and 13-20 overall and one this is for certain, the team will be blowing it up before the February 10th trade deadline. Utah has won four straight after getting punked at home by the struggling Wiz. Utah's main problem is getting bored at time and not coming to play on occasion. The Jazz do make it a priority to take car of business in division (6-0) and in conference (14-3). Further Utah is 11-2 on the road and almost seem to take things out on the bottom feeders for putting them out with the travel. Utah 118-103. |
12-29-21 | Oregon v. Oklahoma -6.5 | 32-47 | Win | 100 | 12 h 30 m | Show
DMACK'S OREGON/OKLHOMA ALAMO BOWL SUPER PLAY winner is on the Oklahoma Sooners Utah has pretty much laid out the blueprint to beat Oregon which is basically punching the Ducks in the mouth and bully them around. Oklahoma can do that and might even be more inclined to do so with Stoops sitting in for the last month. Oregon's Bowl history is sketch at best the last five years and there would seem to be little motivation this far from home in front of a stadium 90% full of Oklahoma fans. Oklahoma 41-20 |
12-29-21 | LSU +4.5 v. Auburn | 55-70 | Loss | -110 | 8 h 14 m | Show
DMACK'S SEC NCAAB GAME OF THE MONTH winner is on the LSU Tigers 12-0 LSU at 11-1 Auburn in what figure to be a good one. Two VERY good team bang heads in a key conference matchup that could have implications down the line. Both teams are very young and both play an even pace. The difference is LSU's excellent defense. The Tigers haven't allowed more than 63 points this year and own the No.1 FG% defense in the country. The Tigers has lost three straight trips to "The Plains" and will be anxious to get that monkey off their back. They can and will. LSU straight up. |
12-28-21 | Golden Knights -148 v. Kings | 6-3 | Win | 100 | 36 h 16 m | Show
DMACK'S TUESS WELCOME BACK ICE PICK winner is on the VGK Las Vegas has clawed its way into first place in the Pacific Division despite playing 20 of their 32 games missing close to 40% of the salary cap out with injuries. VGK is obviously well coached and scary good and scary deep. They'll be ready to go here against the Kings, a division rival they've handled with ease in their first four years of existence. VGK ..... bank it. |
12-28-21 | Cavs -3 v. Pelicans | 104-108 | Loss | -110 | 17 h 22 m | Show
DMack's Tuesday NBA Play of the Day winner is on the Cleveland Cavaliers The upstart 20-13 much improved Cavs have an excellent core nucleus of young players and are even rumored to be in the lead to get Ben Simmons before the February 10th trade deadline. They've done their best work on the road at 10-6 and .... the Pelicans are weak on defense and will likely get smoked by this rabid hungry Cleveland crew. Cleveland 114-103. |
12-28-21 | Louisville v. Air Force +1.5 | 28-31 | Win | 100 | 13 h 48 m | Show
DMack's First Responder Bowl winner is on the Air Force Louisville struggled through the year to finish 6-6. The Cardinals have a decent quarterback in Cunningham but are as common as they come going 2-6 SU against the Bowl teams that they played. Bowls are just a lot more important to Service Academies and the Falcons are pretty darn good. The 9-3 Flyboy's three losses were 49-46 at Utah State, vs. Army, and to San Diego State. No shame there. The Flyboys are a veteran bunch, especially on defense where many of last year's seniors came back for their pandemic year. Air Force won its last three games average 41.3 ppg. and RUSHING for 457 ypg. per. Really like Air Force here. Call it 32-23 for the Force. |
12-27-21 | Nets -3.5 v. Clippers | 124-108 | Win | 100 | 12 h 29 m | Show
DMACK'S MON NBA BIG BALLER winner is on the Brooklyn Nets The Clippers are in a world of hurt. Paul George and Kawhi are still out indefinitely and three others key players are out until at least the first of the year with Marcus Morris a game time decision tonight. The Nets have their own issues with seven out for some reason including Kevn Durant but Brooklyn still has James Harden and Patty Mills and a bench that has responded better to "Nex Man Up" mode. Another factor is that the Clippers played and were beaten by Denver last night while Brooklyn basically played a Christmas Day matinee game against the Lakers and have been able to stay in town which should help fron a rest standpoint. Just don't think the remaining Clippers have the firepower to keep up. Brooklyn by 10. |

12-27-21 | Western Michigan -7 v. Nevada | 52-24 | Win | 100 | 55 h 6 m | Show
DMACK'S NEV/WEST MICH QUICK LANE BOWL BULLET winner is on the Western Michigan Broncos The Wolf Pack has a ton of things to overcome here. Their coach jumped to Colorado State which is also in the Mountain West. Their stud QB Carson Strong has opted for the NFL and is done. The backup QB has thrown just 20 passes in his career. Western Michigan has been a huge disappointment but can somewhat salvage their season in a bowl game played in Michigan. The Brons returned 9 on offense and 10 on defense yet went 3-4 in the MAC after 4-1 start early. The Broncos are 7-1 if they score 23 points or more and that doesn't figure to be an issue here considering WMU's big physical offensive line. Western Michigan 34-20. |
12-26-21 | Broncos v. Raiders -1 | 13-17 | Win | 100 | 126 h 59 m | Show
DMACK's NFL WEEK 15 POWER PACK winner is on the Las Vegas Raiders The Raiders tried to give it away against the Browns last week but Derek Carr put together a big drive resulting in the winning FG. Las Vegas generally fold in December but despite everything this team has been through, continues to play hard. Bot teams will have issues at this point and LVR is even on a short week but ... they've won the last three in the series including a 34-24 win at Mile High that saw Carr throw for 341 and a couple of scores. If the Raider defense can summon up an effort similar to the one they mustered up against Cleveland they win. Call this one Raiders 30-20. |
12-26-21 | Jaguars v. Jets -2 | 21-26 | Win | 100 | 123 h 37 m | Show
DMACK's NFL WEEK 15 POWER PACK winner is on the NY Jets Straight up, picking the Jags last week with extra time and off the Urban Meyer fiasco may have been one of the worst plays of my 30 years in the business. Thinking this team would play it's best game of the year was a joke. The Jags are 0-6 SU L6 and have failed to cover five straight. Jax has 10 losses by double-digits and this team has two problems, little talent and they've quit. Jets aren't far behind and but show glimpses every now and then. They're 1-6 L7 ATS at home but are primed here for a win at home. Both teams have their QBs and regardless, there are no stud QBs in this years draft so draft position is minor importance as opposed to a win. The Jets will get this done. |
12-26-21 | Ravens +2.5 v. Bengals | 21-41 | Loss | -104 | 123 h 32 m | Show
DMACK's NFL WEEK 15 POWER PACK winner is on the Baltimore Ravens The Ravens will likely be without Lamar Jackson again but Tyler Huntley is a better than average alternative who can basically do the same thing .... hurt you with this arm or legs. The ex-Utah Ute threw for 288 and 4 TDs last week and should have success against Cincinnati. The Ravens will also remember the 41-17 beatdown at home by the Bengals in Week 7 and should be ready to play. If Baltimore avoids getting behind the eightball early, the Raven win this straight up. |
12-25-21 | Mavs v. Jazz -5 | 116-120 | Loss | -110 | 739 h 33 m | Show
DMACK's NBA X-MAS DAY SUPER PLAY winner is on the Utah Jazz Dallas has lost three out of four and will likely be without Luka till after the first of the year. The Mavs are a team that must regroup after the first of the year as they've basically underachieved through the their first 30 games. The Jazz are somewhat of an enigma and to this point have played better on the road than at home. That said, the Jazz are 6-0 in their division and 13-3 vs. the Western Conference so they've showed they take care of business when it counts. The Jazz have won two straight after inexplicable home losses to the Wiz and Spurs. Expecting a big effort here. Utah 116-102. |
12-25-21 | Browns v. Packers -7.5 | 22-24 | Loss | -110 | 102 h 9 m | Show
DMACK's NFL WEEK 15 X-MAS BIG TICKET winner is on the Green Bay Packers Regardless of the Covid issues with the Browns, still excellent value laying a touchdown with the Packers. Cleveland has been reeling on offense well before recent problems scoring just 68 points in their L5 games. Cleveland just 1-7 ATS L8. The Packers on the other hand have scored 143 points in their L4 games and are 10-2-1 ATS in L13. Further, Green Bay is 16-6 ATS in L22 home games and 6-0 ATS at Lambeau Field this year. Aaron Rodgers is making a late push to run down Brady as the MVP and looking more-and-more like he could be going back-to-back. Green Bay wins this 38-16. |
12-23-21 | 49ers -3.5 v. Titans | 17-20 | Loss | -106 | 58 h 1 m | Show
DMACK'S 49ERS/TITANS PLAYOFF PRIMER winner in on the San Francisco 49ers The Titans are finding life without Derrick Henry pretty tough. Tennessee has lost three of four, scoring 13 points or less in four of those five losses. The Titans have nowhere else to go as they have just five scoring plays of 18+ yards or more. The 49ers have won and covered five of their last six and should be on six straight wins. The defense has raelly stepped up and is +7 in turnovers the last three games while Jimmy G has taken care of the football himself, managing games, making minimal mistakes, and making the occasional big play. San Fran has feasted on the AFC and is on a current 13-6 ATS run of late. If the 49ers stay healthy, they're going to be the team that nobody wants to play in the playoffs. San Francisco 27-17. |
12-23-21 | Pelicans -6.5 v. Magic | 110-104 | Loss | -110 | 9 h 24 m | Show
DMACK'S NBA PLAY OF THE DAY winner is on the New Orleans Pelicans The Magic are 7-25, even after winning their last two on the road but figure to be short-handed here with Covid and injury issues rampant through a team that doesn't have much talent to begin with. The 11-21 Pelicans have won three straight and for the most part will play their regular team. Big man Valancuinus is expected out until after Christmas but Nola has more than enough young hungry bigs to make up the minutes with losing a whole lot. Probably wouldn't be laying points on the road in a game like this but in this crazy world right now, this looks like the best play on a limited NBA board. Pelicans by 10. |
12-22-21 | Missouri v. Army -5.5 | 22-24 | Loss | -110 | 34 h 55 m | Show
DMACK'S MISSOURI/ARMY ARMED FORCES SUPER PLAY winner is on the Army Cadets Sure Missouri is an SEC team that has had its moments but doesn't offer much in this matchup, even against service academy. Mizzou was 1-4 this year in true road games with the lone win coming at Vanderbilt. The Tigers gave up 450+ yards in 7 of 12 games and their last four losses were by 17+ points, albeit again against SEC teams. The Cadets will be very salty after getting punked in last weeks rivalry game with Navy. Army ran for at least 250+ yards in all of their D-I games and their extended TOP keeps their pretty good defense fresh and offsetting differences in athleticism. Army figures to sharper with less time off and will come to play in "their" bowl. Army 27-19. |
12-22-21 | Hofstra v. Monmouth -5 | 77-71 | Loss | -110 | 8 h 55 m | Show
DMACK'S NCAAB MID-MAJOR GAME OF THE MONTH winner is the Monmouth Hawks Hofstra is getting lost of love after its upset over Arkansas but the Pride have proven that they don't play well on the road and and as a team are net very deep, in fact, they're No.333 out of 352 teams in bench minutes. Monmouth has been a decent program for over a decade and this looks like one of the better editions that figures to battle Iona for MAAC supremacy. The Hawks are 10-1 L11 and their two losses are by a combined seven points. Hofstra was outscored by Stony Brook by 20 in the second half two games back and will be up against it here. Monmouth 75-58. |
12-21-21 | Lightning v. Golden Knights -122 | 4-3 | Loss | -122 | 12 h 24 m | Show
DMACK'S TAMPA BAY/VGK TUESDAY NIGHT ICE PICK wiiner is on the VGK Two of the better teams in the NHL square off in what could be the final night of hockey for the next few days. Both teams have struggled through early injuries and bot have started to roll of late. The Bolts have won two straight and are 7-2-1 L10. Vegas has won five straight and comes off a 4-0 NY/NJ East Coast road trip, and 8-2 L10. Vegas is getting contributions up and down the lineup in any given nights. Tampa Bay may have already checked out somewhat here in Sin City with the Christmas break coming up. Both teams relatively Covid free and with all thing equal, VGK will be tough to handle at home if Lehner is dialed in. |
12-21-21 | San Diego State v. UTSA +3 | 38-24 | Loss | -110 | 38 h 9 m | Show
DMack's SDSU/USTA Frisco Bowl Super Play is on the UTSA Roadrunners Pure and simple, San Diego State couldn't score in Cheetah's with a fistful of hundreds and it's another year of typical Aztecs, a top ten scoring defense and a feature back offense that sets football back 50 years. They were throttled by Utah State, a very similar scheme to UTSA, in the Mountain West championship game and once down two scores there is no way back. The Roadrunner rebounded from their lone loss, an inexplicable meltdown at North Texas, by smoking Western Kentucky and we saw what the Hilltoppers are about last Saturday. UTSA just has to play their game with minimal to no mistakes to win straight up. UTSA 41-20. |
12-21-21 | Seahawks v. Rams -6.5 | 10-20 | Win | 100 | 10 h 41 m | Show
DMACK'S SEAHAWKS/RAMS EARLY STOCKING STUFFER winner is on the Rams The Seahawks have won two straight as Russell Wilson works his way back to 100%. Not sure how much you can read into it as the Hawks are playing out the string and face a Ram defense that is second against the pass and sixth overall. Seattle is 0-7 when they score 28 points or less. The Rams have bounced back after going 0-3 during their Tenn, San Fran, Green Bay gauntlet. Stafford threw for 358 in the Rams 26-17 win in Week Five. Both teams have Covide issues so it comes down to next man up and Rams top to bottom the deeper and better team. If Rams can run the football, move the chains, and NOT turn the ball over, they should win by double-digits. Not brain surgery I know but with three weeks left, the actual players are getting serious. |
12-20-21 | Stetson v. Miami-FL -14.5 | 72-82 | Loss | -105 | 13 h 13 m | Show
DMack's Tues College Hoops Slam Dunk winner is on Miami Florida Stetson snapped a three-game double-digit losing streak with a win over the College of Charleston Cougars and now heads to South Beach to face a decent 8-3 Miami team. The Hurricanes have won four strait after getting hammered at then ranked No.10 Alabama and has made a habit in recent years of taking care of their business against the teams they should beat which exactly the case here. Miami Fla 78-55. |
12-20-21 | Tulsa -8.5 v. Old Dominion | 30-17 | Win | 100 | 9 h 19 m | Show
DMack's Tulsa/Old Dom Myrtle Beach Bowl Super Play is on the Tulsa Golden Hurricane Old Dom is a great story but not a very good team. The Monarchs started 1-6 but finished hot, winning five straight against pedestrian competition. Old Dom gives up a lot of points. Tulsa finished 7-5 but is quality, just on the wrong end of one score games against top flight competition like Oklahoma State and trailed Ohio State by seven with 5:00 to play. The Golden Hurricanes also beat SMU and were 3-0 ATS against three teams ranked in the AP Top 10 when they played. Tulsa's achilles heel is turning the ball over. In the end, Tulsa has played better, beat better, faces very manageable number with an explosive offense and should win this game by three touchdowns. Tulsa 45-17. |
12-19-21 | Heat -4.5 v. Pistons | 90-100 | Loss | -110 | 14 h 3 m | Show
DMACK'S SUNDAY NBA PLAY OF THE DAY winner is on the Miami Heat The Heat have won four of five including the first two games of this short three-game roadies by more than they are giving the 4-24 Pistons here. We used the 9-20 Houston Rockets at Detroit yesterday and was rewarded with an easy double-digit winner (+1). In that game, Motown folded late. Expect the same with reason here in the second of back-to-backs. |
12-19-21 | Bengals +3 v. Broncos | 15-10 | Win | 100 | 63 h 45 m | Show
DMack's Sun NFL Power Pack winner is on the Cincinnati Bengals The Bengals last two home losses have made them ripe for the picking in a game that might very determine their playoff future. The defense hasn't stopped a fat man and it's hard to figure if Joe Burrow's mangled throwing hand has been a factor. Cincinnati has done it's best work on the road and have been a reliant 9-5 ATS off a loss. It comes down to this .... in the Bengals can shut down Melvin Gordon and and get Joe Mixon going early and often, they'll win this game straight up. Cincinnati 31-27. |
12-19-21 | Golden Knights -135 v. Islanders | 4-3 | Win | 100 | 10 h 49 m | Show
DMAC'S SUN NHL ICE PICK winner is on the Vegas Golden Knights VGK went through their adversity early on with injuries and played a month of the season without 40% of their salary cap players. Getting healthier by the day, the Knights have won four straight including the first three games of this early four-game East Coast swing that includes wins at Boston and the Rangers. The Islander season has been cursed from the start, playing their first 13 games on the road while waiting for their new crib to be completed. The Islanders don't score much an might be well served to take a look at their kids and try next year. VGK wins. |
12-19-21 | Texans v. Jaguars -5 | 30-16 | Loss | -110 | 60 h 41 m | Show
DMack's Sun NFL Power Pack winner is on the Jacksonville Jaguars Houston has lost 12 of its L13 games and their starter for the rest of the year, Davis Mills is 0-7 as a starter and pretty much useless with nothing much to support him. The Jags have had a chaotic week but have played hard for the most part. Houston beat the Jags 37-21 in Week One and Jacksonville should be inclined to want to win this. The Jags are in the rare position of having the better roster top to bottom. A stripped down gameplan and perfect execution has the home field at least 10 points better than Houston who has mailed it in. Jacksonville 23-10. |
12-19-21 | Panthers v. Bills -10.5 | 14-31 | Win | 100 | 60 h 38 m | Show
DMack's Sun NFL Power Pack winner is on the Buffalo Bills The Bills are watching their season circle the drain so why lay double-digits with them here ??? The Panthers have been playing worse than Buffalo and the 0-8 when allowing more than 14 points. Further, the Panthers have been outscored 140-77 in the second half of their L8 games and the Bills have have outscored their last three opponents 48-12 in the second half. The Bills should be further energized after seeing the Pats smoked by the Colts. The Bills should abuse the Panthers here . Buffalo 34-10. |
12-19-21 | Cowboys v. Giants OVER 44 | 21-6 | Loss | -108 | 60 h 32 m | Show
DMACK'S NFL WEEK 15 TOTAL OF THE WEEK is on the Cowboys/Giants Over The Cowboys are 5-2 to the Under in their L7 but the Pokes are still No.2 in the league in total offense and rolled to 514 yards and 44 points in their Week Five win over the Giants. The forecast for the Meadowlands Sunday is 43 and cloudy with ZERO chance of precipitation so in my mind it's all systems go for Dak and Company. Big Blue won't have to do much heavy lifting here .... just help out a little ... even with a couple of garbage scores. Like this final closer to 60 than 40. Play the OVER. |
12-18-21 | Derrick Lewis v. Chris Daukaus -135 | 1-0 | Loss | -135 | 32 h 39 m | Show
DMack UFC Vegas 45 Power Pack winner is Chris Daukhaus If you follow the sport, you know Derrick Lewis. The Black Beast has one weapon, the big boom. It's the only way he has to win. Daukaus has won his first four UFC fights in quick fashion but the one-time Philadelphia cop is has a black belt in BJJ and has the edge in speed and movement. Daukaus gives up 35 pounds here but that will work to his advantage as well as Lewis has a history of gassing late. |
12-18-21 | Patriots +2.5 v. Colts | 17-27 | Loss | -104 | 43 h 20 m | Show
DMACK'S SATURDAY PATS/COLTS SUPER PLAY winner is on the New England Patriots Analysis to follow |
12-18-21 | Diego Ferreira v. Mateusz Gamrot -180 | 0-1 | Win | 100 | 30 h 1 m | Show
DMack UFC Vegas 45 Power Pack winner is Mateuz Gamrot Gamrot is the best bet on today's card. He's an imposing physical presence that a nasty rude attitude. Well rounded fighter that is good at everything and very capable of ragdolling Ferreira the entire fight if need be. It won't. Gamrot by early stoppage. |
12-18-21 | Oregon State v. Utah State +7.5 | 13-24 | Win | 100 | 20 h 36 m | Show
DMACK'S JIMMY KIMMEL BOWL SUPER PLAY winner is on the Utah State Aggies Oregon State has had a nice season but has had most of it's success at home. Other than a win at USC, the Beavers have been pretty useless on the road. They don't throw the ball well and that puts them at a big disadvantage here. Utah State is 7-1 L8 and absolutely dismantles San Diego State in the Mountain West championship game. The Aggies have a lot of weapons on offense and that gives them several ways to win in this matchup. Utah State will have success throwing the ball around. Get a taste straight up too! |
12-18-21 | Darren Elkins +164 v. Cub Swanson | 0-1 | Loss | -100 | 30 h 32 m | Show
DMack UFC Vegas 45 Power Pack winner is Darren Elkins Great fight between two of the UFC's original GANGSTAS. Swanson is much the best technical fighter but the best fighters don't always win. Darren "The Damage" Elkins is as tough as the come .... Korean Zombie tough and just never ever gives up. Elkins is on a small run and is much the bigger fighter here. Bonus play on going the whole 15 minutes. Elkins hurts people and can find a way late in the fight. Dog of the Day on this card. |
12-18-21 | Dustin Stoltzfus v. Gerald Meerschaert -225 | 0-1 | Win | 100 | 19 h 27 m | Show
DMack UFC Vegas 45 Power Pack winner is Gerald Meerschaert Dustin Stoltzfus is a decent fighter that came out of the contender series. He's lost two straight and the fact that he'll be fighting for his UFC life is the best reason to pick him. Not much to recommend. Meerschaert has resurrected his career after getting knock out by Chimaev ... no shame there. Meerschaert is 33-14 in a long MMA career with get this ..... 25 SUBMISSIONS! Meerschaert get the fight to the mat and ends it there. |
12-18-21 | Matt Sayles v. Jordan Leavitt -123 | 0-1 | Win | 100 | 27 h 52 m | Show
DMack UFC Vegas 45 Power Pack winner is Jordan Leavitt Matt Sayles is a striker with very little else in his game. Jordan Leavitt is a wrestler that applies constant pressure and also has an excellent submission game. The Monkey King suffered his first loss in his last fight to Claudio Puelles who followed up that fight with a huge win over Chris Greutzemacher so the loss doesn't look that bad. Leavitt by unanimous decision. |
12-18-21 | Rockets +1.5 v. Pistons | 116-107 | Win | 100 | 10 h 45 m | Show
DMACK'S SUNDAY NBA MATINEE SLAM DUNK winner is on the Houston Rockets This is a battle between two NBA bottom feeders headed in opposite directions. The 9-20 Rockets have battled back from 1-16 and are 6-4 L10 despite losing two straight. They've beaten some good teams on the road of late (Atlanta) and give 100% maximum effort every night. The Pistons are 4-13 and have lost 13 straight. You'd think that this would be a top spot get off the schneid, especially with the Heat/Knicks/Heat on deck. That won't happen, Houston 103-96. |
12-18-21 | South Carolina State v. Jackson State -10 | 31-10 | Loss | -110 | 11 h 51 m | Show
DMack's Celebration Bowl Super Best Bet winner is on the Jackson State Tigers The Celebration Bowl is the de-facto Black College National championship game that pits the winner of the SWAC against the winner of the MEAC. South Carolina State was 6-5 during the year, the Jackson State Tigers under HC Deion Sanders 11-1. This week Sanders signed the first 5* recruit to a FCS school, the second highest rated player by Rivals. Sanders has lured several 3* and 4* prospects to Jackson, Miss and his team is loaded. Jackson State, the alma mater of Walter Payton, will win it's first National Championship today and do so in dominating fashion. Jackson State 38-17. |
12-17-21 | Capitals -105 v. Jets | 5-2 | Win | 100 | 19 h 59 m | Show
DMACK'S FRIDAY NHL ICE PICK winner is on the Washington Caps Both teams will be somewhat short-handed here with a couple of key Caps just about ready to come off Covid protocol. The Jets took a huge hit in losing scorer and captain Blake Wheeler for at least 2-3 weeks. The Jets have lost three of four including their last two to Vancouver and Buffalo. The Caps have only lost five games of 29 in regulation and a couple of early goals will make them tough to beat. |
12-17-21 | Warriors -3 v. Celtics | 111-107 | Win | 100 | 19 h 40 m | Show
DMACK'S NBA GAME OF WEEK winner is on the Golden State Warriors The Warriors are 23-5, 9-3 on the road, healthy at this writing and have had three days to recover from Steph's big night at Madison Square Garden. Boston is a disappointing 14-14 and just 4-6 in their L10. The Celtics were swept in their recent West Coast swing and tonight the team with the best record in the NBA. Golden State should be fresh as a daisy and has just this game and Toronto tomorrow before returning home for a week long homestand. Golden State 119-107. |
12-17-21 | Coastal Carolina -10.5 v. Northern Illinois | 47-41 | Loss | -110 | 17 h 7 m | Show
DMACK'S 2021 BOWL SEASON FIRST BLOOD, CURE BOWL winner is on the Coastal Carolina Chanticleers The Chants went 10-2, losing two games by a combined five points. This team returned 19 players that went undefeated during year before losing this game by three in OT to Liberty last year. Northern Iowa went 9-4 but is 8-2 L10 and 7-3 ATS L10. That said, the Huskies have won four games by one or two points and in the four games that they lost, Northern gave up 50-63-52-42 points. Coastal has run the football for 200+ yards in 10 of their 12 games. The Chants have been ticket burners this year but they are completely healthy at this this point a crush shot win here will validate everything that the program has accomplished the last two years. Coastal Carolina 55-27. |
12-17-21 | St Bonaventure +2.5 v. Virginia Tech | 49-86 | Loss | -110 | 15 h 56 m | Show
DMACK'S COLLEGE HOOPS MATINEE SLAM DUNK winner is on St Bonnies This version of the Bonnies is as good as there's been in recent memory. The Bonnies are 8-2 with losses to Northern Iowa and UConn , no shame there. They have good guard play and and play tough defense. The Hokies are 7-4 but the losses are somewhat disturbing as that they all have come against the only teams that they've played that have pulses including a 20-point home loss to Wake. St Bonnie will have to bring its best but their best is double-digits better than the Hokies. |
12-16-21 | Chiefs -3 v. Chargers | 34-28 | Win | 100 | 12 h 55 m | Show
DMACK'S CHIEFS/CHARGERS THURSDAY NIGHT THUNDER winner is on the Kansas City Chiefs This game is being billed as a showdown between two of the best young quarterbacks in football, ie. Mahomes vs. Herbert. That said, this game will be decided in the trenches and specifically the Kansas City defense which has allowed just 10.8 ppg. over their current six game winning streak. There are may Covid and injury issues surrounding both teams with several key pieces for both teams, being game day/time decisions. Both teams have issue but at the moment, the Chiefs are hitting on all cylinders and have dominated the their division for a long time to the tune of 19-6 ATS in their L25 road games vs. the AFC West. |
12-16-21 | Pistons v. Pacers -10 | 113-122 | Loss | -110 | 10 h 16 m | Show
DMACK'S THURS NBA BOOKMAKER FLAGRANT TWO winner is on the Indiana Pacers This is the second of back-to-backs for the Pacers who collapsed last night after dominating a short-handed Milwaukee team for three quarters. It was a similar story in their prior game, a 102-100 home loss to Golden State. That said, their three prior were easy home wins over the Wizards, Knicks, and Mavs. The 4-22 Pistons are 2-11 on the road and up against it versus the desperate Pacers. Tonight, Indiana twists the knife. Pacers 117-99. |
12-16-21 | Flyers -135 v. Canadiens | 2-3 | Loss | -135 | 10 h 25 m | Show
DMACK'S THURSDAY NHL ICE PICK winner is on the Philadelphia Flyers It's going to be a long long year for Les Habitants who are currently 6-21-3, 4-10-1 at home, 2-10-2 on the road, and 1-8-1 in L10 overall. There is no relief in site and you can expect the team to blow things up top to bottom over the summer. Philadelphia has won three straight after losing 10 straight and making some minor changes. Where Montreal is buried in it's current spot, the Flyers have underachieved the first third of the season and may have turned the corner. They have the roster! |
12-15-21 | Wizards v. Kings -1 | 105-119 | Win | 100 | 21 h 36 m | Show
DMACK'S NBA 10* GAME OF THE WEEK is on the Sacramento Kings The Wiz have lost four of five with their only win coming over hapless Detroit. The Kings are on a run of three straight road losses but all on the East Coast in some pretty tough venues ... Charlotte, Cleveland, and resurgent Indiana. Sactown is back home where they enjoyed some success after their coaching change. The Wizards have fallen from the best record in the Eastern Conference to 7th place in two weeks. We'll grab the homestanding Kings in this virtual pick'em in a battle of struggling teams. |
12-15-21 | Nebraska-Omaha v. UNLV -18.5 | 71-84 | Loss | -109 | 20 h 57 m | Show
DMack College Hoops Power Pack winner is on the UNLV Rebels Nebraska-Omaha is another dandy at 1-9, No.334 on offense and No.346 on defense. UNLV is 6-5 playing a rugged schedule under new legacy coach Kevin Kruger who has instilled hope for a UNLV men's program for the first time in a long time. Don't get me wrong, Rebs are nothing special but play hard and have been competitive against the monsters. UNLV 91-57. |

12-15-21 | Middle Tennessee +11.5 v. Ole Miss | 52-62 | Win | 100 | 17 h 10 m | Show
DMack College Hoops Power Pack winner is on the MTSU Blue Raiders Give us the points with Middle Tennessee who can really fill it up. In fact, the Blue Raiders are averaging 80 ppg. and their losses have come on the road at Steven F Austin and at Murray State where the Racers just shot the lights out. Ole Miss is a bottom half SEC team that was spanked 71-54 on this floor by a decent Western Kentucky team. Ole Miss also lost to an OK Boise 60-50 on this floor. With these kind of points and a team that can score like MTSU, any loss in single digits will work and likely will. |
12-15-21 | Fairfield -9 v. Fairleigh Dickinson | 72-54 | Win | 100 | 17 h 3 m | Show
DMack College Hoops Power Pack winner is on the Fairfield Stags FDU is an 0-8 train wreck that is No.336 in Division I on offense and dead last at No.352 in defense. Fairfield has been a pedestrian MAAC team for as long as I can remember but the Stags are off to a 7-3 start, 4-2 on the road. More important to me is their eye-catching No.114 number at Ken Palm which means they've played some people as well. Fairfield by 15-18. |
12-14-21 | Blues v. Stars -155 | 4-1 | Loss | -155 | 10 h 41 m | Show
DMACK'S NHL PLAY OF THE DAY winner is on the Dallas Stars The Blue will be in the mix to win the West but they'll have to learn to win on enemy ice where they are sub .500 at 5-5-3. Tonight, they face the Stars who are the epitome of home road dichotomy ... 9-2-1 at home and 4-8-1 on the road. The Stars are off an 0-3 West Coast swing at VGK, Kings, and Sharks and will be desperate to get back on track with a win here. This is a home and home and St Louis is another very tough venue which will heighten the urgency for the Stars. |
12-14-21 | Central Connecticut State v. Stony Brook -15 | 67-87 | Win | 100 | 7 h 21 m | Show
DMACK'S TUESDAY COLLEGE HOOPS SLAM DUNK winner is on the Stony Brook Seawolves. Plain and simple, Central Connecticut is one of the weakest teams in Division I. The Blue Devils are No.342 out of 352 board teams in average points scored and No.312 on defense in points allowed. Through 10 games, CCSU is 147 points in the red. Stoney Brook is 4-1 L5 and 4-1 at home this year. We made the mistake of playing against the Wolves last week using Hofstra. We won't make that mistake again and fully expect Stony Brook to win this by 20+. |
12-13-21 | Suns -1.5 v. Clippers | 95-111 | Loss | -110 | 18 h 38 m | Show
DMACK's MONDAY NBA SLAM DUNK winner is on the Phoenix Suns Love the Suns here. The Clippers have won three straight but all three came against various bottom-feeders, at Damian-less Portland and home to Boston and Orlando. The Suns lost their last road at Golden State on December third, blew out Boston on Friday and have had 72 hours to get ready for this key matchup, key in if nothing else as an improbable seeding tie-breaker. Phoenix is talented, has great chemistry, very deep .... and in my opinion, the most complete team in the NBA. Last year the Suns knocked on the door, this year, I have a feeling they might kick it in. Phoenix by double-digits. |
12-13-21 | Rams v. Cardinals -2 | 30-23 | Loss | -117 | 16 h 4 m | Show
DMACK'S WEEK 14 MONDAY NIGHT MAGIC winner is on the Arizona Cardinals Sure the Rams have won 9 of the L10 in the series and their last six stop in Arizona but ..... this is a VERY Cardinal team, one that got off the schneid in September by blowing out the Rams 37-20. In that game, the Cards rushed for 216 yards against the vaunted Ram defense and the Arizona has been money (8-2 ATS L10) on both sides of the ball. Los Angeles has lost three of four and the off offense has been pedestrian at best the last eight weeks converting just 33 of their L95 third downs. The Cards play excellent defense, move the chains, run the football, and also feature a big play offense that has struck 53 times for plays of 20+ yards. Arizona 28-20. |
12-13-21 | Cleveland State v. Oklahoma State -12 | 93-98 | Loss | -110 | 15 h 43 m | Show
DMACK'S MON COLLEGE HOOPS SUPER PLAY winner is on the Oklahoma State Cowboys Cleveland State has resurrected it's dead program the last two years and is definitely on the improve. The thing about it though is the 6-2 Vikings have taken Bill Snyder route by scheduling "killers" like Edinboro and PSU-Behrend. Their losses are to BYU by 10 and at home to Ohio by 11. The 6-3 Oklahoma State Cowboys have lost two straight (at Wichita State, at Xavier) but are in a nice spot to get healthy here against a Horizon team that might be getting a bit too much respect. Oklahoma State 80-61Â |
12-12-21 | Predators v. Rangers -142 | 1-0 | Loss | -142 | 13 h 54 m | Show
DMACK'S NHL PLAY OF THE DAY is on the NY Rangers Both teams are rolling at the moment, Nashville is working off four straight wins and the Rangers have been doing it everyday and everyway all year long. The Broadway Blues have been a work in progress for so long and now they have the pieces and a crafty demanding coach with Gerard Gallant. While this is a run for the Preds, the 18-5-3 (8-2-1 at MSG) Rangers have arrived and have to be mentioned in the same conversation with Tampa Bay, Florida, and Carolina amonth the elite in the East and in the NHL. Rangers win. |
12-12-21 | 49ers -1 v. Bengals | 26-23 | Win | 100 | 10 h 19 m | Show
DMACK WEEK 14 NFL POWER PACK winner is on the San Francisco 49ers The 49ers have won and covered three of their last four games and were in a position to win on the final play last week which got shot down by a couple of blown assignments and and a big play by Carlos Dunbar. The line move here is based on Joe Burrow's mangled finger on his throwing hand and today, the Bengals face one of the top stop units in the league. Both teams on extreme "urgency" alert. It's getting down to it and San Francisco playoff hopes almost certainly hang on a win here. San Francisco 24-20. |
12-12-21 | Giants +10 v. Chargers | 21-37 | Loss | -123 | 10 h 9 m | Show
DMACK WEEK 14 NFL POWER PACK winner is on the NY Giants The Giants problem this year has been the offense, basically scoring points. The defense has been pretty good and other than their game against Tampa Bay, the defense has allowed 21 points or less in nine straight games. Mike Glennon might just be an improvement over Daniel Jones and if Big Blue can run the ball against the league's worst rush defense and the defense takes care of their business as it has most of the year, this is a one score game all day long. Take the points. |
12-12-21 | Villanova v. Baylor -3.5 | 36-57 | Win | 100 | 8 h 19 m | Show
DMACK'S SUNDAY COLLEGE HOOPS SLAM DUNK winner is on the Baylor Bears Two big things in this No.2 vs. No.6 matchup, home court and Baylor depth. Villanova is actually seven deep and even their first two players off the pine don't really get any significant minutes, it's all about their starters. Baylor is the defending champ and lined up for No.1 off Purdue's loss. The Bears are very good, very well coached, are playing at home, and have a habit of taking care of business. Baylor wins by 10. |
12-12-21 | Raiders v. Chiefs -9 | 9-48 | Win | 100 | 79 h 37 m | Show
DMACK'S NFL GAME OF THE YEAR winner is on the Kansas City Chiefs The Chiefs just smoked the Raiders 41-14 (Week 10, Nov 14) in Sin City with Patrick Mahomes throwing for 406 yards and five touchdowns, his best game of 2021. That said, the Chiefs haven't gone on current run with offense but by defense ... a stop unit that has allowed just 39 points over its last four games. Las Vegas is 0-6 when it scores less than 26 points and they'll have their work cut out for them here with multiple injuries and playing in a very unhospitable road venue. This just looks like a perfect storm for the Chiefs and against the Raiders. The Kansas City offense has struggled but managed to shred Vegas for 516 yards less than a month ago. This wasn't a one time thing with the Chiefs 14-3 straight up in the L17 of the series and 6-2 ATS the L8 at Arrowhead Stadium. Kansas City has outscored their opponents 56-13 in the first half of their last four, the Raiders have been outscored 89-49 in the second half of their last five ..... and on and on and on. Kansas City wins this 45-20. |
12-12-21 | Ravens +3 v. Browns | 22-24 | Win | 100 | 7 h 52 m | Show
DMACK WEEK 14 NFL POWER PACK winner is on the Baltimore Ravens Bill Parcells said a long time ago, "You are what your record says you are." The Browns are 6-6 and sure, off a bye, but lost to this same team 16-10 two weeks ago and prior beat the Lions by a FG and got waxed by New England 45-7. That's who the Browns say they are. They're also 3-12 SU and 5-10 ATS in their L15 vs. the Ravens. Baltimore is 8-4 and has overcome at least the same if not more adversity than any team in the NFL. That's who Baltimore is. Ravens 23-14. |
12-11-21 | Wild -145 v. Kings | 1-2 | Loss | -145 | 21 h 48 m | Show
DMACK'S SATURDAY NIGHT NHL ICE PICK is on the Minnesota Wild The Kings got off to a good start but have come back to the pack the last 30 days (3-5-2 L10) and that even off an inexplicable 4-0 whitewash of Calgary. Plain and simple, the Kings are sub .500 on home ice and face a killer here. Minnesota is 19-6-1 overall, 9-4-1 on the road, 8-1-1 L10 and have won eight straight. Minnesota won the only meeting between the two back on October 16th, the second game of the season, 3-2. Two months later, the same teams are heading in opposite directions with Minnesota on the up escalator. Call this 4-2 Minnesota. |
12-11-21 | Dan Ige +140 v. Josh Emmett | 0-1 | Loss | -100 | 41 h 54 m | Show
DMACK UFC 269 POWER PACK WINNER is on Dan Ige This is would be a main event on many Fight Night cards. Emmett looked like a beat on the scale but has not fought in 18 months and that could be a factor here. Ige has fought four times in those 18 months and is the quicker and more technically proficient of the two. Whatever was this goes it's going to be a great fight. Think Ige is the better fighter but also hope we are not intoxicated by this sweet dog price. Take the +140! |
12-11-21 | Pedro Munhoz -110 v. Dominick Cruz | 0-1 | Loss | -110 | 40 h 10 m | Show
DMACK UFC 269 POWER PACK WINNER is on Pedro Munhoz Dominick Cruz is a great fighter who had a certain Hall of Fame career derailed by multiple injuries. He's lost multiple years and fights to bad knees in particular. His best attributes are his speed and his elusiveness which are at this point on WEC highlight DVDs. Munhoz is about the same age but with less miles on the tires and a great kick game, on one of the best in MMA. Look for Munhoz to chop Cruz down early much Jose Aldo did earlier in his career and win by a convincing decision. |
12-11-21 | New Orleans v. Utah State -19.5 | 50-82 | Win | 100 | 18 h 12 m | Show
DMACK'S COLLEGE HOOPS NOTHING BUT NET winner is on the Utah State Aggies New Orleans is 3-6 and off a 20 point loss to Texas A&M and a 13 point loss to ULL. The Privateers haven't played in eight days and travel to one of the toughest venues in college basketball. The Aggies are 6-3 but the losses are to St Mary's and BYU while owning wins over Oklahoma, New Mexico State, and Richmond. This is the perfect spot for Utah State to get ready for games against Weber State and Iowa before starting their Mountain West schedule. Utah State 88-53. |
12-11-21 | Augusto Sakai v. Tai Tuivasa -110 | 0-1 | Win | 100 | 19 h 28 m | Show
DMACK UFC 269 POWER PACK WINNER is on Tai Tuivasa These are two big heavies with Sakai weighing in a 263 and Tuivasa a biscuit below the 265 line at 264 1/2. The Big Boys mean the Big Boom in most cases but Sakai is a battle tested veteran that has been there before and has the skills to avoid the berserker Tuivasa. Not sure he can avoid the relentless Australian who will be looking for better with a win here. Tuivasa vis second round stoppage. |
12-11-21 | Eryk Anders v. Andre Muniz -144 | 0-1 | Win | 100 | 39 h 54 m | Show
DMACK UFC 269 POWER PACK WINNER is on Andre Muniz Anders is a former linebacker from Alabama who got into the fight game. Has a solid striking game but not much else. He'll have to stop Muniz to stop from taking this fight to the ground where he'll have o chance against one of the top BBJ practitioners in MMA. Easier said than done. Muniz has so many more ways to win and ultimately that will be the difference in the fight. Muniz by late submission. |
12-11-21 | Miranda Maverick -130 v. Erin Blanchfield | 0-1 | Loss | -130 | 39 h 31 m | Show
DMACK UFC 269 POWER PACK WINNER is on Miranda Maverick Erin Blanchfield is a prospect who has bitten off a ittle more than she can chew here. She'll have the edge in BJJ as a black belt but nothing else. Blanchfield looked soft at weigh in and not overly focused where Maverick was ripped, a better striker, purple belt BJJ, laser focused, and has faced better. Miranda Maverick by decision. |
12-11-21 | Jazz -5 v. Wizards | 123-98 | Win | 100 | 17 h 53 m | Show
DMACK's SATURDAY NBA PLAY OF THE DAY is on the Utah Jazz Washington's fast start has come to a halt and the Wiz are 4-6 L10 and had lost three straight before beating last place in the East Detroit in OT in their most recent. The Jazz have been rock solid since the season tipped off. Utah is 9-4 at home, 9-3 on the road and has won six straight. The Jazz come at you in waves. They're deep and they're very good and off a 32-point win at Minnesota and a 22-point win at Philadelphia. Utah by 11-14. |
12-10-21 | Bucks v. Rockets +8.5 | 123-114 | Loss | -110 | 17 h 36 m | Show
DMACK'S FRIDAY NIGHT NBA BANKROLL BUILDER is on the Houston Rockets Don't look now but the Rockets have won seven straight off a 1-16 start. It's not like Houston is going to run the table the rest of the way but they're young, deep, have some talent, and are going to show up to play. The Bucks are just 16-10 and .500 on the road so won't blink at taking almost double-digits with hot Rockets on their home floor. Milwaukee 100-96. |
12-10-21 | Predators -120 v. Devils | 3-2 | Win | 100 | 16 h 15 m | Show
DMACK'S FRIDAY NIGHT NHL ICE PICK winner is on the Nashville Predators Not the greatest of spots for the Preds who are playing on the back end of a back-to-back and also third in four nights but ..... recent excellent form and bus trip travel (Islanders to Devils) should negate any of that in a game they would like have with the white hot Rangers on deck. The Devils snapped a four-game losing streak last night with a 3-0 win over the free-falling Flyers but the key here is that New Jersey just doesn't score (11 goals, L5 games, 4 in 8-4 loss to Jets), and they face better scoring and goaltending here in the Preds. Probably a 3-2, 4-2, 3-1 type of game but as we all know .... it looks like 7-2 when you take it to the cashier. |
