10-26-19 | Astros v. Nationals UNDER 9 | 8-1 | Push | 0 | 7 h 35 m | Show
5-Unit Play. Take under 8.5 Houston at Washington (8:05 p.m. Saturday, October 26) Patrick Corbin was a welcomed addition to the Nationals staff this year and he has been great when he pitches at home all year, and I don't expect that to change in tonight's matchup. He went 8-2 with a 2.40 ERA in 16 starts at Nationals Park during the regular season and even though he hasn't been stellar in the postseason so far, I think he is going to come through for his team tonight. Houston finally got a win under their belts last night and they are going to go to a bullpen game tonight with Jose Urquidy getting the start. The Astros came through with the big hits in last night's contest, something they hadn't done in the first two games and they will need to do that again tonight if they have a shot at evening up this series. Best of Luck - Doc's Sports |

10-25-19 | Astros v. Nationals OVER 8 | 4-1 | Loss | -100 | 9 h 20 m | Show
3-Unit Play. Take Over Houston at Washington (8:05 p.m. Friday, October 25) Zack Greinke has had a lot of success against the Nationals in his career going 6-1 with a 1.27 ERA over 9 starts, but I think he is going to have his hands full with the way Washington is swinging the bats right now. The Nationals scored 5 and 12 runs respectively in the first two games against Houston and they can score in a variety of ways. The Astros on the other hand have struggled to come through with the big hit in the first two games of this series and have left multiple runners on base, but I think that changes tonight. Annibal Sanchez has allowed just one run over 12.2 innings this postseason but I feel like Houston's bats are going to figure him out and produce tonight. Take the over here. Best of Luck - Doc's Sports |
10-23-19 | Nationals v. Astros -1.5 | 12-3 | Loss | -100 | 7 h 55 m | Show
3-Unit Play. Take #904 Houston (-1.5 RL) over Washington (8:05 p.m. Wednesday, October 23) Justin Verlander led the Astros to the 2017 World Series and if Houston is going to win the 2019 World Series he will have to do the same thing which I think he is capable of. This will be Verlander's 30th career postseason start so nerves won't be a factor and I think he will be able to come through and keep the Nationals off balance. Stephen Strasburg will have the ball for the Nats and he has been very good so far this postseason going 3-0 with a 1.64 ERA. Houston's offense didn't come through in Game 1 with the big hit but they are to talented and I think they will take advantage of their opportunities tonight. I like the Astros in this one. Best of Luck - Doc's Sports |
10-22-19 | Nationals v. Astros -1.5 | 5-4 | Loss | -100 | 9 h 51 m | Show
3-Unit Play. Take #902 Houston (-1.5 RL) over Washington (8:05 p.m. Tuesday, October 22) There will be no lack of starting pitching in this World Series especially in game 1 where Gerrit Cole will square off against Max Scherzer. Scherzer is the one with multiple Cy Young awards but Cole is the one who comes in with a ridiculous winning streak on the line. Cole has not taken a loss in his last 25 starts and over his last eight starts he is 8-0 with a 0.77 ERA with 92 strikeouts over 58 2/3 innings, which includes three dominant performances in the playoffs where he allowed just 1 run over 22.2 innings striking out 32 hitters. Scherzer has been tough in the playoffs in his own right allowing 4 earned runs over 20 innings but the Astros lineup is different that the other ones he has faced and I think Houston will be able to score off him. Dave Martinez hasn't been able to trust his bullpen all postseason and I think that will come into play tonight. Best of Luck - Doc's Sports |
10-17-19 | Astros v. Yankees -124 | 8-3 | Loss | -124 | 9 h 5 m | Show
2-Unit Play. Take #920 NY Yankees over Houston (8:05 p.m. Thursday, October 17) The Yankees backs are against the wall and they desperately need a win so they don't go down 3-1 in the ALCS with Justin Verlander and Gerrit Cole waiting in the wings. Masahiro Tanaka will be on the mound tonight and he has been excellent in the postseason for New York going 5-2 with a 1.32 ERA over 7 starts, which includes allowing just one run on four hits in 11 innings this postseason. Zack Greinke's postseason with the Astros has not gone so well as he has an ERA of 8.38 across two starts and I think he will have more trouble tonight. Greinke allowed home runs to Gleybar Torres and Giancarlo Stanton and he yielded three more against the Rays in the ALCS. I think the Yankees find a way to win this game and even up the series at 2-2. Best of Luck - Doc's Sports |
10-09-19 | Cardinals v. Braves UNDER 7.5 | 13-1 | Loss | -100 | 5 h 29 m | Show
2-Unit Play. Take Under in St. Louis at Atlanta (5:05 p.m. Wednesday, October 9) Jack Flaherty and Mike Foltynewicz both got off to dreadful starts to their seasons, but they both have been fantastic recently and are a large part of why their teams are playing in this game. Flaherty hasn't allowed more than 2 earned runs in 15 of his last 17 starts, one includes Game 2 against Atlanta when he allowed three in the 3-0 loss. I think Flaherty is going to come through for his team today and will be better not allowing three in this matchup. Foltynewicz has done his best work pitching in front of his home crowd as he has allowed just 3 earned runs over his last 5 starts spanning 30.2 innings. That includes a masterful performance in Game 2 where he yielded just three hits while striking out seven over 7 innings. I think this game is going to be a close competitive game which will come down to some timely hitting. Best of Luck - Doc's Sports |
10-07-19 | Yankees -140 v. Twins | 5-1 | Win | 100 | 10 h 3 m | Show
4-Unit Play. Take #907 NY Yankees over Minnesota (8:40 p.m. Monday, October 7) Minnesota has lost their last 15 playoff appearances and their last 12 against the Yankees and I think that streak will continue tonight. Luis Severino has made three starts as he made his way back from shoulder and lat issues, but the bullpen will be rested in case he gets into any kind of trouble. The Yankees bats have produced in the first two games of this series scoring 10 and 8 runs respectively and they roughed up Minnesota starter Jake Odorizzi in his only start against them this year. Odorizzi allowed 9 earned runs (2 home runs) in a 10-7 loss on July 24th and I think he will have his hands full tonight with the way New York is swinging the bats right now. I think the Yankees complete the sweep tonight. Best of Luck - Doc's Sports |
10-05-19 | Twins v. Yankees -1.5 | 2-8 | Win | 106 | 6 h 47 m | Show
4-Unit Play. Take #952 NY Yankees (-1.5, +105) over Minnesota (5:05 p.m. Saturday, October 5) The Yankees have owned the Twins during the playoffs and I think they can continue that success tonight. Masahiro Tanaka will be on the mound tonight for New York and he has been solid in five postseason appearances going 3-2 with a 1.50 ERA. Tanaka has pitched well at Yankee Stadium for most of the season going 8-3 with a 3.10 ERA and he has allowed 2 runs or fewer in seven of his last eight home starts with the Bronx Bombers winning seven of those games. Rookie Randy Dobnak will be taking the ball for Minnesota and he hasn't faced the Yankees this season. I think it will be a tall task for Dobnak to make his first postseason appearance in Yankee Stadium against the deep and talented New York lineup. The Yankees have beaten the Twins 11 straight times in the postseason and I think they will make it number 12 tonight. Best of Luck - Doc's Sports |
10-04-19 | Rays v. Astros -1.5 | 2-6 | Win | 100 | 3 h 33 m | Show
4-Unit Play. Take #926 Houston (-1.5 RL) over Tampa Bay (2:05 p.m. Friday, October 4) Houston is the odds on favorite to win the World Series with their fantastic lineup but they will be lead by their starting pitching. Justin Verlander will take the ball in game 1 after going 21-6 with a 2.58 ERA over 34 starts and is a front runner for the Cy Young award along with teammate Gerret Cole. Verlander faced the Rays twice this season and was dominant winning both starts and allowing just 1 earned run over 12.1 innings while striking out 13 hitters. Tyler Glasnow will be on the mound for Tampa Bay and it will be interesting to see how long he lasts because he hasn't made it through 5 innings in any of his 4 starts since returning from the disabled list. I like the Astros to get the win in front of their home crowd today. |
10-03-19 | Cardinals v. Braves -137 | 7-6 | Loss | -137 | 6 h 39 m | Show
3-Unit Play. Take #916 Atlanta over St. Louis (5:05 p.m. Thursday, October 3) The Atlanta Braves signed Dallas Keuchel for this very reason, to be a front line starter for a young pitching staff and I think he will come through tonight. Keuchel has notoriously been a much better pitcher when he pitches at home as compared to on the road and this season was no different. Keuchel went 4-3 with a 2.74 ERA over 10 starts and he went 4-5 with a 5.01 ERA over 9 starts on the road. Another thing in the Braves favor is that the Cardinals were not very good on the road this season as they were just 41-40 on the year. Miles Mikolas will have the ball for St. Louis and he did not help the teams road record as he was 4-8 with a 5.40 ERA over 17 starts. I like the Braves to take a 1-0 lead in this series. Best of Luck - Doc's Sports |
10-02-19 | Rays v. A's -127 | 5-1 | Loss | -127 | 9 h 46 m | Show
2-Unit Play. Take #914 Oakland over Tampa Bay (8:10 p.m. Wednesday, October 2) Oakland finds themselves in the same scenario they were in last season in a win or go home game, but this year they are at home and I think that will make a big difference. Oakland was very good when playing at home this season going 52-29 and they are sending their hottest pitcher to the mound. Sean Manaea will take the ball for the Athletics and he has won his last four starts allowing just 4 earned runs over 24.2 innings. Charlie Morton will be starting for Tampa Bay and he has been great for the Rays this season. However, Morton has been vulnerable on the road as his season ERA is a full run higher when away from home and in his last 5 road starts he has given up 22 earned runs over 26.1 innings. Oakland won the season series 4-3 and I think they will win this game as well. Best of Luck - Doc's Sports |
09-28-19 | Cubs v. Cardinals -1.5 | 8-6 | Loss | -100 | 7 h 2 m | Show
3-Unit Play. Take #910 St. Louis (-1.5, +105) over Chicago (NL) (7:15 p.m. Wednesday, September 28) St. Louis is going to the playoffs but they are still battling with Milwaukee for the National League Central title as the Brewers are just 1 game behind them. Adam Wainwright has been great at home all season going 9-3 with a 2.08 ERA over 15 starts and I think he can come through against a depleted Cubs team. Wainwright has been stellar this month as well going 5-0 with a 1.69 ERA. Chicago has shut down multiple starters such as Anthony Rizzo, Kris Bryant, and Javier Baez due to injuries and I think its going to be hard for them to generate offense. Cole Hamels will have the ball for the Cubs and he has been trending downwards. Hamels is 1-4 with a 6.39 ERA over his last 9 starts and I think he will have his hands full with a Cardinals lineup that needs a win. I like St. Louis at home. Best of Luck - Doc's Sports |
09-27-19 | Rays -1.5 v. Blue Jays | 6-2 | Win | 100 | 9 h 37 m | Show
3-Unit Play. Take #965 Tampa Bay (-1.5, -130) over Toronto (7:05 p.m. Thursday, September 27) Tampa Bay has a two game lead over Cleveland for the final wild card spot and needs just a couple of wins to make it into the postseason. Sending Tyler Glasnow to the mound has proven to be a winning formula and I think it will happen again tonight. Glasnow has been eased back into action allowing 2 earned runs over 8 innings in the three starts since being out since May 10th with a forearm strain. Glasnow has been tremendous when pitching on the road this season going 4-0 with a 0.63 ERA over 28.2 innings and I think he will come through in this matchup. T.J. Zeuch will be making his third start (5th appearance) having allowed at east 2 earned runs in each appearance and only making it into the 5th inning in one of those contests. I think the Rays take another step closer to the playoffs with a win tonight. Best of Luck - Doc's Sports |
09-25-19 | Red Sox -139 v. Rangers | 10-3 | Win | 100 | 11 h 54 m | Show
2-Unit Play. Take #971 Boston (-150) over Texas (8:05 p.m. Wednesday, September 25) The Red Sox are not going to be making the playoffs after winning the World Series last year but they are not the type of team that is going to roll over. Rick Porcello might be pitching his last game for Boston and he is as competitive as it gets. Porcello owns a 7-4 career mark against the Rangers in 13 career starts against them and I think he will deliver a solid performance. Rookie left hander Koby Allard will be starting for Texas and he has not been very good when pitching in front of the home crowd. Allard's ERA at home is 7.36 in three starts and he will be facing a talented lineup that pounded out 14 hits and 12 runs in last night's contest. I like the Sox in this matchup. Best of Luck - Doc's Sports |
09-24-19 | Braves v. Royals UNDER 9.5 | 6-9 | Loss | -105 | 10 h 12 m | Show
4-Unit Play. Take Under Atlanta at Kansas City (8:15 p.m. Tuesday, September 24) Ned Yost announced he will be retiring at the end of the season and he will do so as the all time winningest manager in Royals history. Yost's teams have always played with passion and I think they will do so in these last 6 games of his career in front of the Kansas City faithful. Danny Duffy has been terrific in September going 1-0 with a 1.78 ERA over 4 starts and he has allowed just one run over nine innings in two appearances against the Braves in his career. Julio Teheran has allowed 2 earned runs or fewer in five of his last six games on the road for Atlanta and he has a 0.69 ERA across 13 innings against Kansas City in his career. I think this total is a little high and this game will stay under. Best of Luck - Doc's Sports |
09-22-19 | Giants v. Braves -1.5 | 4-1 | Loss | -100 | 2 h 54 m | Show
2-Unit Play. Take #906 Atlanta (-1.5 RL) over San Francisco (1:20 p.m. Sunday, September 22) This is the last home game for the Braves during the regular season and I think they want to put on a good show for their home crowd. Dallas Keuchel has been very good, like usual when he has pitched at home, going 4-2 with a 2.72 ERA which is two runs lower than his ERA on the road. Keuchel lost his last start but he had allowed just 4 earned runs over his 6 previous starts, all Braves wins, and I think he will come through for his team today. It has been a struggle for San Francisco starter Logan Webb allowing 14 earned runs over his last 3 starts (12.1 innings), and I don't think he is going to be able to keep the Braves lineup off balance. I like the Braves to keep putting pressure on the Dodgers for the best record in the National League and get the win. Best of Luck - Doc's Sports |
09-20-19 | Red Sox v. Rays -1.5 | 4-5 | Loss | -100 | 8 h 13 m | Show
3-Unit Play. Take #922 Tampa Bay (-1.5 RL) over Boston (7:40 p.m. Friday, September 20) The Red Sox are limping towards the end of the season while the Rays are building for a playoff run. Tampa Bay can not rest on their laurels though as they are still battling with the Athletics and Indians for the two Wild Card spots. Charlie Morton has been producing for Tampa all season especially at home and I think he will come through again tonight. Morton is 7-3 with a 2.74 ERA in 15 starts at home this year and he is 2-0 against the Red Sox in four starts against them this season. Rick Porcello has hit a rough patch late in his season as he 1-2 in his last three starts allowing 14 earned runs (5 home runs) in just 13 innings. I like the Rays to get the job done at home tonight. Best of Luck - Doc's Sports |
09-19-19 | Royals v. Twins -1.5 | 5-8 | Win | 100 | 8 h 19 m | Show
2-Unit Play. Take #964 Minnesota (-1.5 RL) over Kansas City (7:40 p.m. Thursday, September 19) Minnesota is going to need Kyle Gibson to return to form if they are going to make a deep run in the playoffs. Gibson is working his way back from a stomach issue that saw him miss time recently as he will be making his third appearance (second start) since returning. He has fared well against the Royals this season going 2-0 with a 3.26 ERA and holding them to a .194 batting average against over three starts. He should be able to get some run support as Mike Montgomery will be opposing him on the mound and hasn't had much luck on the road this year. Montgomery is 1-5 with a 7.85 ERA on the road this season and he is facing a dangerous lineup that has hit the most home runs in the majors this season. I like the Twins to continue their dominance on the Royals tonight. Best of Luck - Doc's Sports |
09-18-19 | Phillies v. Braves -1.5 | 4-1 | Loss | -100 | 8 h 29 m | Show
10-Unit Play. Take #908 Atlanta (-1.5 RL) over Philadelphia (7:20 p.m. Wednesday, September 18) The Phillies hold a slight lead in the season series against the Braves with a 9-8 advantage, but I think the Braves will even up the season series tonight. Julio Teheran will be on the mound for Atlanta and he has allowed 2 earned runs or fewer in 11 of his last 14 starts. Teheran hasn't been great against Philadelphia this season, but both of those starts were on the road and he has been better at home this year where he is 6-4 with a 2.89 ERA over 15 starts. Zach Eflin has been downright awful against the Braves this year going 0-3 with a 11.57 ERA in three starts. Atlanta has batted .378 against him hitting 5 home runs in just 9.1 innings and Eflin's defense hasn't helped him as they have allowed 8 unearned runs on top of the 12 earned runs he has yielded. I like Atlanta to get the win in this matchup. Best of Luck - Doc's Sports |
09-16-19 | Padres v. Brewers -1.5 | Top | 1-5 | Win | 120 | 9 h 49 m | Show |
10-Unit Play. Take #902 Milwaukee (-1.5 RL) over San Diego (7:40 p.m. Monday, September 16) Garrett Richards has a tough task tonight making his first start since July of 2018 against a Brewers team that is playing with a lot of confidence at the moment, despite losing NL MVP candidate Christian Yelich to a broken patella. Milwaukee has won nine of their last ten contests and I think Richards is going to have his hands full with this challenging lineup. Zach Davies will be on the bump for the Brew Crew and he has never lost to the Padres going 3-0 with a 3.58 ERA over 5 starts. The Brewers have won the last three starts that Davies has made and I think they will get the job done at home tonight. Best of Luck - Doc's Sports |
09-14-19 | Reds v. Diamondbacks -124 | 0-1 | Win | 100 | 9 h 17 m | Show
4-Unit Play. Take #910 Arizona over Cincinnati (8:10 p.m. Saturday, September 14) Arizona picked a bad time to have a 6 game losing streak as they now sit 4 1/2 games behind the Cubs for the final Wild Card spot with just 14 games to play. Merrill Kelly will be on the mound for the Diamondbacks and he owns the dubious distinction of having the most losses in the National League. However, he has been pretty good at home as his ERA is almost two and a half runs lower than on the road and the D'backs have won the last three games he has started at Chase Field. Anthony DeSclafini will have the ball for Cincinnati and he has pitched well recently but the Reds have alternated wins and losses over his last 10 starts. Arizona is desperate for a win and I think they snap their losing streak tonight. Best of Luck - Doc's Sports |
09-13-19 | Dodgers -126 v. Mets | 9-2 | Win | 100 | 9 h 30 m | Show
4-Unit Play. Take #955 LA Dodgers over NY Mets (7:10 p.m. Friday, September 13) Clayton Kershaw has been uncharacteristically bad over his last three starts but I think he will find his groove against a team he has had plenty of success against in the past. Kershaw is 9-0 with a 2.14 ERA over 14 regular season starts against the Mets and I think he will lead his team to victory in this matchup. Noah Syndergaard will be on the bump for the Mets and he hasn't been as sharp when pitching in New York this season. Syndergaard's ERA at home is a full run and half higher than it is on the road and in his last two starts in New York he has allowed 14 runs in just 8 innings. Both teams have something to play for as the Mets are battling for a Wild Card spot while the Dodgers are contending with the Yankees for the best record in baseball for home field advantage in the World Series. I like Los Angeles in this game. Best of Luck - Doc's Sports |
09-12-19 | Red Sox -144 v. Blue Jays | 7-4 | Win | 100 | 8 h 15 m | Show
4-Unit Play. Take #917 Boston over Toronto (7:10 p.m. Thursday, September 12) The Red Sox haver already won the season series against the Blue Jays but they have dropped the last two in this series. This is the last time they will play this year and I think Boston is going to end their five game losing streak. Jhoulys Chacin will be pitching for the Red Sox and he has pitched well in the limited innings he has thrown for them. Clay Buchholz will be pitching against his former team for the first time since he was traded away from them in 2016. Buchholz is 1-2 since he returned from the disabled list and I think he will have a tough time navigating the Boston lineup that is desperate for a win. I like the Red Sox in this one. |
09-11-19 | Diamondbacks +107 v. Mets | Top | 0-9 | Loss | -100 | 8 h 21 m | Show |
10-Unit Play. Take #955 Arizona over NY Mets (7:10 p.m. Wednesday, September 11) The Diamondbacks and Mets are separated by just a 1/2 game in the standings sitting 2 1/2 and 3 games out of the second Wild Card spot respectively. The Mets have won the first two games of this series in low scoring contests, but I think Arizona will get the job done tonight. Robbie Ray will be on the mound for the D'backs and he has always pitched well on the road. Ray has been stellar when facing the Mets in his career going 2-0 with a 0.82 ERA over four starts. Steven Matz has pitched well recently for the Mets but he hasn't had much luck when facing Arizona in his career. Matz is 1-1 with a 4.76 ERA across four starts which includes a 7-1 loss on June 2nd when he allowed 5 earned runs (2 home runs) over 6 innings. I like Arizona to get the win in this one. Best of Luck - Doc's Sports  |
09-10-19 | Rays -131 v. Rangers | Top | 5-3 | Win | 100 | 10 h 39 m | Show |
10-Unit Play. Take #917 Tampa Bay over Texas (8:05 p.m. Tuesday, September 10) The Rays are leading the American League Wild Card race but Oakland and Cleveland are right on their heels waiting for them to slip up. With the way Ryan Yarbrough has pitched on the road this season I don't see Tampa Bay losing this contest. Yarbrough is 9-1 with a 2.42 ERA this year on the road through 67 innings pitched (5 starts) while holding opposing hitters to a .174 batting average. Lance Lynn will be on the bump for Texas and he has been solid for most of the year, but he hasn't been as sharp lately. The Rangers have lost the last 6 games Lynn has started and he has allowed 3 earned runs or more in three of his last four starts. Tampa Bay has won five games in a row and I think they keep building to the playoffs with a win tonight. Best of Luck - DOC's Sports |
09-09-19 | Indians -1.5 v. Angels | Top | 6-2 | Win | 100 | 12 h 8 m | Show |
10-Unit Play. Take #965 Cleveland (-1.5 RL) over LA Angels (10:10 p.m. Monday, September 9) Cleveland is still on the outside of the playoffs looking in as they are 1.5 games outside of the Wild Card race and 5.5 back of the Twins. Sending Shane Bieber to the mound certainly helps their chances of picking up a win. Bieber already beat the Angels this season 6-2 allowing 2 earned runs on 5 hits while throwing all 9 innings. He has held opponents to a .185 batting average on the road this while year going 8-4 with a 2.89 ERA and he may not have to face Mike Trout who has missed time recently with a toe injury. Rookie Patrick Sandoval will be on the mound still in search of his first major league win. Sandoval has only lasted 5 innings in his 6 appearances and Los Angeles has lost five out of the six games he has been a part of. I like the Indians to take another step towards the playoffs and get the win here. Best of Luck - Doc's Sports |
09-07-19 | Blue Jays v. Rays -1.5 | 3-5 | Win | 100 | 3 h 15 m | Show
4-Unit Play. Take #968 Tampa Bay (-1.5, -130) over Toronto (6:10 p.m. Saturday, September 7) Tampa Bay sits a top the American League Wild Card lead and I think they will maintain that lead with another win against the Blue Jays tonight. The Rays have beaten Toronto 10 out of the 14 times they have faced each other this season and with the way they have been playing recently I think they get another one tonight. Charlie Morton has been great at home for Tampa this season going 7-3 with a 2.62 ERA over 14 starts and he has an ERA of 2.31 in two starts against Toronto this season. Anthony Kay will be making his major league debut for the Jays tonight as he was acquired from the Mets in the Marcus Stroman deal. Take the Rays in this one Best of Luck - Doc's Sports |
09-05-19 | Mariners v. Astros -1.5 | 9-11 | Win | 100 | 9 h 9 m | Show
10-Unit Play. Take #974 Houston (-1.5 RL) over Seattle (8:10 p.m. Thursday, September 5) Wade Miley has been on a serious roll as of late taking his last lost on June 17th while supporting a 2.78 ERA over those 13 starts. Miley has been fantastic when starting at Minute Maid Park this season going 7-1 with a 2.22 ERA over 12 starts and I think he will continue his success against the Mariners. Marco Gonzales will be on the bump for Seattle and he hasn't had much success when facing Houston. Gonzalez has never beaten the Astros in his career and he is 0-2 with a 5.28 ERA across three starts this season. Houston is still battling for the best record in the American League and I think they will help their cause with a win tonight. Best of Luck - Doc's Sports |
09-04-19 | Angels v. A's -1.5 | 0-4 | Win | 123 | 11 h 56 m | Show
3-Unit Play. Take #924 Oakland (-1.5 RL) over LA Angels (10:05 p.m. Wednesday, September 4) Tanner Roark has led the A's to some impressive wins at home against three teams that look like they are headed to the playoffs. Roark hasn't allowed more than two earned runs against the Yankees, Astros, and Cardinals and I think he can have similar success against the Angels. Rookie Patrick Sandoval will be pitching for the Angels and he has had difficulties when pitching on the road as he has allowed 10 earned runs over 13 innings. Oakland had a nice comeback win last night against LA but I think they will get an early lead today and pick up the win. Best of Luck - Doc's Sports |

09-03-19 | Angels v. A's -1.5 | 5-7 | Win | 107 | 12 h 4 m | Show
4-Unit Play. Take #974 Oakland (-1.5 RL) over LA Angels (10:05 p.m. Tuesday, September 3) Oakland had an off day to travel and regroup after losing back to back games to the Yankees both in walk off fashion. I think they are going to take it out on the Angels today who don't have much left to play for this season. Mike Fiers will bring his twenty game unbeaten streak to the mound with him tonight and he has beaten the Angels the three different times he has faced them this season. Jaime Barria hasn't been very good recently and I think the A's will be ready to pounce on him. I like Oakland to pick up the win in front of their home crowd. Best of Luck - DOC Sports |
09-01-19 | Padres v. Giants -127 | 8-4 | Loss | -127 | 5 h 52 m | Show
3-Unit Play. Take #960 San Francisco over San Diego (4:05 p.m. Sunday, September 1) The Giants still have a slim chance of making the playoffs but they will need to win games like today if they want to keep those fading hopes alive. Jeff Samardzija will be on the mound for San Francisco and he has pitched very well recently with little to show for it. Samardzija has allowed just 6 runs over his last five starts with just one win to show for it, but I think his team will have his back today. Eric Lauer continues his up and down season but I don't t think he will have enough to beat the Giants today. I like the Giants to win today and salvage a split in this four game series. |
08-31-19 | A's v. Yankees -1.5 | 3-4 | Loss | -105 | 2 h 57 m | Show
4-Unit Play. Take #918 NY Yankees (-1.5, -110) over Oakland (1:05 p.m. Saturday, August 31) Domingo German has been one of the few bright spots for the Yankees starting pitching and I think he will come through again to be the leagues first 18 game winner. German has been rock solid at home going 8-1 with a 2.24 ERA and he hasn't lost in any day starts going 7-0 with a 3.83 ERA. Homer Bailey will be pitching for Oakland and he has had a nice bounce back year with the Royals and A's but I think he will have some difficulties in today's matchup. Oakland won last night but I think the Bronx Bombers are going to flex their muscle and get the win. Best of Luck - DOC's Sports |
08-30-19 | Mets v. Phillies -145 | 11-5 | Loss | -145 | 8 h 5 m | Show
3-Unit Play. Take #954 Philadelphia over NY Mets (7:05 p.m. Friday, August 20) The Mets are reeling right now losing their last 6 games with their playoff chances dwindling with each loss. Aaron Nola will be on the mound and he has been pitching well as of late especially when he is at home. Nola is 6-1 with a 2.94 ERA at home this season including winning the last three times he pitched there. Zack Wheeler will be pitching for New York and he has struggled recently allowing 13 runs over his last three starts spanning 16 innings. He has faced the Phillies four times this season and the Mets have lost three of those contests. Philadelphia had and off day yesterday so I think they are going to be fresh and pick up the win. Best of Luck - Doc's Sports |
08-29-19 | Dodgers -1.5 v. Diamondbacks | Top | 5-11 | Loss | -115 | 10 h 16 m | Show |
10-Unit Play. Take #907 LA Dodgers (-1.5 RL) over Arizona (9:40 p.m. Thursday, August 29) The Dodgers are 20 games up in the standings against the Diamondbacks and I think they will extend that lead with a win tonight. Hyun-Jin Ryu is a front runner for the National League Cy Young award and some of his best work this season has come against Arizona. Ryu has beaten the Diamondbacks all three times he has faced them this season allowing just one run over 20 innings while holding them to a .169 batting average, which uncludes one start at Chase Field where he threw 7 shutout innings and yielded just three hits. Merrill Kelly will take the ball for Arizona and even though he has had some nice moments this season he could be fatiguing towards the end of his first major league season. Kelly has had back to back months of an ERA over 6 and he has allowed 6 runs or more in four out of his last six starts. I think the Dodgers keep it rolling and pick up the win in this contest. Best of Luck - Doc's Sports |
08-28-19 | Twins -1.5 v. White Sox | Top | 8-2 | Win | 100 | 9 h 15 m | Show |
10-Unit Play. Take #965 Minnesota (-1.5 RL) over Chicago (AL) (8:10 p.m. Wednesday, August 28) Minnesota has the best road record in all of baseball and they will need to pick up another win to maintain their slim margin over the Cleveland Indians. I like the Twins chances since they have beaten the White Sox nine out of the fourteen times they have played and because Jake Odorizzi will be on six days rest. When Odorizzi has been on six days rest this season he is 5-0 with a 1.00 ERA and he has been solid in two starts against the White Sox this season with a 2.61 ERA. Ross Detwiler will be on the bump for Chicago and he has made seven starts and five relief appearances this season for the White Sox and hasn't been very effective in either role. He has faced the Twins three different times this season totaling 10 innings and has allowed 3 home runs, 1 in each appearance, and I think Minnesota will bop a couple more home runs in this game. I like the Twins to get the win in this matchup. Best of Luck - Doc's Sports |
08-27-19 | Reds -150 v. Marlins | Top | 8-5 | Win | 100 | 8 h 6 m | Show |
10-Unit Play. Take #903 Cincinnati over Miami (7:10 p.m. Tuesday, August 27) The Reds have not lost to the Marlins in four games this season and I don't think that will change in tonight's game. Luis Castillo has owned his former team the three times he has faced them going 2-0 with a 0.39 ERA which includes two starts at Marlins Park. Caleb Smith will be opposing Castillo and he has had a rough August going 1-3 with a 5.66 ERA. Neither of these teams have a shot at making the playoffs so I lean towards the better team with the better starting pitcher. I like the Reds to keep their wining streak alive against the Marlins. Best of Luck - Doc's Sports |
08-26-19 | Pirates v. Phillies -123 | Top | 5-6 | Win | 100 | 7 h 19 m | Show |
10-Unit Play. Take #954 Philadelphia over Pittsburgh (7:05 p.m. Monday, August 26) The Phillies wasted an opportunity to gain some ground in the Wild Card race by losing two of three to the last place Marlins over the weekend, but I think they will take it out on the Pirates tonight. Jason Vargas has pitched well for Philadelphia for the most part in his four starts, but doesn't have much to show for it. I think Vargas is going to pick up his first win for his new ballclub and it will help that Bryce Harper is going to return from the paternity list. Joe Musgrove hasn't been very good in four August starts as his ERA is 7.71 over those contests and I think he is catching the Phillies at the wrong time. I like Philadelphia in this one. Best of Luck - Doc's Sports |
08-24-19 | Angels v. Astros -1.5 | 2-5 | Win | 100 | 8 h 35 m | Show
Unit Play. Take #966 Houston (-1.5, -135) over LA Angels (7:10 p.m. Saturday, August 24) Wade Miley has been highly effective in his first season with the Astros and I expect that to continue with the way he has pitched at home and against the Angels this season. Miley is 6-1 with a 2.25 ERA at home while holding opponents to a .209 batting average and against the Angels this season he is 2-0 with a 2.38 ERA in two starts. Dillon Peters will be on the mound for Los Angeles and he has an ERA of 4.56 in four starts in August with the Angels going 1-3 over those contests. The Astros have the best home record in the American League at 47-16 and I think they will pick up another win in this matchup. Best of Luck - Doc's Sports |
08-23-19 | Royals v. Indians -1.5 | Top | 1-4 | Win | 110 | 9 h 8 m | Show |
10-Unit Play. Take #916 Cleveland (-1.5 RL) over Kansas City (7:10 p.m. Friday, August 23) Cleveland has to have a bitter taste in their mouth as they return home for their final series with the Royals after being swept by the Mets in New York and I think they are going to take it out on them. The Indians have beaten the Royals 10 out of the 16 times they have met this year and Zach Plesac is 2-0 with a 2.30 ERA against Kansas City over three starts. Jakob Junis will be on the mound for the Royals and the Indians have had his number when facing him this year. Junis is 1-3 with a 6.52 ERA over 5 starts against Cleveland having allowed at least 4 earned runs in 4 of those starts. The Indians are still chasing the Twins for first place in the American League Central and I think they inch closer with a win against the Royals in this one. Best of Luck - Doc's Sports |
08-22-19 | Rays -1.5 v. Orioles | Top | 5-2 | Win | 100 | 8 h 20 m | Show |
10-Unit Play. Take #959 Tampa Bay (-1.5 RL) over Baltimore (7:05 p.m. Thursday, August 22) Tampa Bay has beaten the Orioles eight out of the twelve times they have faced each other this year and I expect the Rays to pick up another win in this matchup. Ryan Yarbrough has been lights out in his three appearances in August allowing just one earned run on 10 hits over 19.2 innings pitched with Tampa winning all three of those contests. Yarbrough has been really good on the road this season as well going 9-1 with a 2.22 ERA across 56.2 innings and I think he can shut down the Orioles offense that has been lackluster for most of the season. Asher Wojciechowski will be on the mound for Baltimore and he has been roughed up in four August starts going 0-3 with a 6.63 ERA. I think the Rays continue their push for the playoffs with a victory in this one. Best of Luck - Doc's Sports |
08-21-19 | White Sox v. Twins UNDER 9 | 4-0 | Win | 100 | 2 h 22 m | Show
3-Unit Play. Take Under 9 Chicago (AL) at Minnesota (1:10 p.m. Wednesday, August 21) The Twins have had the White Sox number so far this season taking 8 out of the 12 matchups but Chicago has to like their chances with Lucas Giolito taking the mound today. Giolito has been really good on the road this season going 8-2 with a 2.91 ERA over 12 starts, and in 8 day starts he has an ERA of 1.92. He will have to be on his game as Minnesota boasts one of the best offenses in the league. Jake Odorizzi will be opposing Giolito on the mound and he has been fantastic in his last four starts allowing more than 1 run just once. Odorizzi has been very good in day games as well going 5-0 with a 1.30 ERA over 6 starts. I think the pitchers will be able to limit these offenses and keep this total under. Best of Luck - Doc's Sports |
08-20-19 | Nationals -1.5 v. Pirates | Top | 1-4 | Loss | -100 | 9 h 38 m | Show |
10-Unit Play. Take #901 Washington (-1.5 RL) over Pittsburgh (7:05 p.m. Tuesday, August 20) Washington put it on Pittsburgh last night and I think they will keep it rolling in this one. The Nationals have bopped 12 home runs in their last two games, scored 62 runs in their last 5 games, and with the way Chris Archer has pitched this season I can see them producing like that tonight. Archer is 0-4 with a 5.26 ERA over his last twelve starts and is having a hard time getting guys out. Stephen Strasburg will be on the bump for Washington and he is looking to set a career high in victories going for his 16th win. Strasburg has fared well against the Pirates in his career going 6-2 with a 2.40 ERA over 9 starts and I like him to pick up another win in this one. Best of Luck - Doc's Sports |
08-19-19 | Nationals -114 v. Pirates | Top | 13-0 | Win | 100 | 8 h 45 m | Show |
10-Unit Play. Take #901 Washington over Pittsburgh (7:05 p.m. Monday, August 19) The Nationals are playing some of their best baseball of their season winning nine of their last twelve and I think they will keep it rolling in this one. Joe Ross has had a great three game stretch run, winning all three starts and allowing just one run over 18 innings. Two of those starts were on the road and I think he can limit a Pirates team that has struggled to build any momentum this season. Trevor Williams has an ERA over 6 at home this season and he has allowed 11 earned runs over his last two starts. I don't think this bodes well for Pittsburgh as the Nationals have been swinging the bats really well and I like Washington to pick up the win. Best of Luck - Doc's Sports |
08-17-19 | Twins -1.5 v. Rangers | 12-7 | Win | 100 | 10 h 36 m | Show
3-Unit Play. Take #925 Minnesota (-1.5 RL) over Texas (8:05 p.m. Saturday, August 17) Minnesota has taken the first two games of this series and now they send All-Star Jose Berrios to the mound. Berrios hasn't been at his best lately but he is due for a good outing and I think he can ride the momentum the Twins have right now. Minnesota has hit five home runs in the first two games of this series and I expect them to club some more off scheduled starter Ariel Jurado. Jurado's ERA at home this year is 5.58 and he has allowed 5 home runs in his last three starts which bodes well for the Twins who have hit the most in the majors this season. I like Minnesota to pick up the win in this one. |
08-16-19 | Cubs -138 v. Pirates | 2-3 | Loss | -138 | 8 h 54 m | Show
3-Unit Play. Take #955 Chicago (NL) over Pittsburgh (7:05 p.m. Friday, August 16) The Cubs are now tied with the Cardinals for the National League Central lead after getting swept in a 3 game series against the Phillies. I think they will bounce back today and pick up a win against the last place Pirates. Kyle Hendricks hasn't been great on the road but he is 2-2 with a 3.34 ERA over seven career starts at PNC Park and I think he can limit a Pittsburgh lineup that lacks a lot of firepower. Joe Musgrove has an ERA of 5.40 in 12 starts at home this season and he has allowed 13 earned runs in his last two starts in Pittsburgh. The Cubs need a win and I think they will get one tonight. Best of Luck - Doc's Sports |
08-15-19 | Mets v. Braves -120 | Top | 10-8 | Loss | -120 | 8 h 55 m | Show |
10-Unit Play. Take #908 Atlanta over NY Mets (7:20 p.m. Thursday, August 15) The Mets went on a serious run over the past couple of weeks and took advantage of playing against some of the weaker teams in baseball, but it has been a different story facing the Braves. Atlanta took the first two games of this series against New York and I think they are going to complete the sweep tonight. Julio Teheran has pitched really well over his last 7 starts going 2-1 with a 1.91 ERA allowing more than 2 earned runs just once. Teheran is notorious for pitching better at home than on the road and his ERA is a run and a half lower at home this season. Marcus Stroman will be on the bump for the Mets and he has allowed 7 earned runs on 16 hits over 10.1 innings in his first two starts for New York. I think Stroman is going to have a difficult time navigating the Atlanta lineup that is playing well right now. Best of Luck - Doc's Sports |
08-14-19 | Cubs v. Phillies -115 | Top | 1-11 | Win | 100 | 8 h 6 m | Show |
10-Unit Play. Take #956 Philadelphia over Chicago (NL) (7:05 p.m. Wednesday, August 14) Philadelphia and Chicago both have playoff aspirations and are separated by 3 games in the standings so these games are very important. The Phillies won last night and with the way Aaron Nola has pitched at home this season I think they will take game 2 of this series as well. Nola is 5-1 with a 3.07 ERA across 15 starts at home this season and he has won the last two starts there. Cole Hamels hasn't been as sharp on the road as he is when he pitches at home this season and he wasn't at his best when he faced the Phillies on May 22nd only lasting 4 innings while allowing 3 runs on 9 hits. I like the Phillies in this one. Best of Luck - Doc's Sports |
08-13-19 | Cardinals -1.5 v. Royals | 2-0 | Win | 100 | 10 h 18 m | Show
3-Unit Play. Take #923 St. Louis (-1.5, -135) over Kansas City (8:15 p.m. Tuesday, August 13) Jack Flaherty doesn't have much to show for it but he has figured something out over his last 6 starts. Flaherty has allowed just 4 runs over his last six starts spanning 38.1 innings but is just 1-1 over that time. The Cardinals get a big boost as Yadier Molina is supposed to be returning to the lineup after missing an extended period of time because he injured his thumb. Glenn Sparkman has not been very good as of late as he has allowed 4 earned runs or more in seven of his last eight starts going 1-4 over those games. St. Louis is in the thick of the Wild Card race and I think they will take the first game of this series. Best of Luck - Doc's Sports |
08-12-19 | Reds v. Nationals -103 | 6-7 | Win | 100 | 8 h 46 m | Show
3-Unit Play. Take #952 Washington over Cincinnati (7:05 p.m. Monday, August 12) Washington was able to escape New York with a win against the Mets after blowing leads late in the first two games of the series. They will look to keep it going against the Reds as they return to Washington with Erick Fedde on the mound. Fedde has bounced back and forth between being a starter and the bullpen this season and allowed 2 runs over 4 innings against the Reds on June 1st of a 5-2 Nationals win. Anthony DeSclafani's ERA is a full run higher on the road as compared to when he pitches at home and I think the Nationals will play better in D.C. and pick up the win in the first game of this series. Best of Luck - Doc's Sports |
08-10-19 | Braves -1.5 v. Marlins | Top | 6-7 | Loss | -133 | 7 h 5 m | Show |
10-Unit Play. Take #953 Atlanta (-1.5 RL) over Miami (6:10 p.m. Saturday, August 10) The Braves knew they had a good pitcher in Mike Soroka but I don't think they expected him to be quite this good. Not only will Soroka be in the running for Rookie of the Year honors, but he will be in the discussion for the National League Cy Young as he has the third lowest ERA in the NL. Soroka has done his best work on the road as he is 6-0 with a 1.45 ERA over 12 starts, which includes going 2-0 at Marlins Park where he has allowed just one earned run while holding the Marlins to a .115 batting average across 15 innings. Sandy Alcantara will toe the rubber for Miami tonight and he hasn't been the same pitcher he was in the first half of the season. Over his last 7 starts, Alcantara is 0-4 with an ERA over 7 and he will have his hands full with the Braves lineup that doesn't have a weak spot. Ronald Acuna Jr. and Ozzie Albies have been on fire recently and I think they will continue their hot hitting and lead Atlanta to another win. Best of Luck - Doc's Sports |
08-09-19 | Royals -133 v. Tigers | 2-5 | Loss | -133 | 8 h 39 m | Show
5-Unit Play. Take #923 Kansas City over Detroit (7:10 p.m. Friday, August 9) It seems crazy to me with the rebuilding that the Tigers are doing that they don't have a pitcher in their farm system that they want to give a shot or take a closer look at rather than have Edwin Jackson make a start for them. Jackson was absolutely awful for the Blue Jays this season in the 8 appearances he made for them with an ERA over 11, a batting average against of .380, and Toronto going 1-7 over those contests. Detroit needed to use four relievers in last night's contest because starter Matt Boyd lasted just 2.2 innings so Jackson may need to stay out longer if and when he struggles. Brad Keller has been in a nice groove for Kansas City as of late with an ERA under 2.50 over his last six starts allowing more than 2 earned runs in just one of those starts. Kansas City let a lead get away from them multiple times in last night's game but I don't think that will happen tonight. Take the Royals here. Best of Luck - Doc's Sports |
08-07-19 | White Sox -115 v. Tigers | 8-1 | Win | 100 | 2 h 19 m | Show
4-Unit Play. Take #915 Chicago (AL) over Detroit (1:10 p.m. Wednesday, August 7) Ivan Nova has never beaten the Detroit Tigers in his career but I think today is the day he finally breaks through and gets it done. Nova has been fantastic over his last three starts, all White Sox wins, going 2-0 allowing just two earned runs over 20 innings and Nova always seems to pitch better as the season goes on. Detroit traded away one of its best players in Nick Castellanos at the trade deadline which hurt an already below average lineup. Rookie Tyler Alexander is still in search of his first major league win and is coming off back to back losses where he allowed 4 earned runs in each. The White Sox are a better team winning seven of the eleven matchups so far between these two teams and I think they get another win before they head out of town. Best of Luck - Doc's Sports |
08-06-19 | Cardinals v. Dodgers -1.5 | Top | 1-3 | Win | 111 | 12 h 4 m | Show |
10-Unit Play. Take #960 LA Dodgers (-1.5 RL) over St. Louis (10:10 p.m. Tuesday, August 6) The Dodgers have the best record in all of baseball (75-40) in large part because they rarely lose at home (44-15) and I think they will pick up another dub in tonight's matchup. Clayton Kershaw has yet to lose a game at Dodgers Stadium this season as he is 7-0 with a 2.35 ERA over 11 starts. Kershaw has been dynamite over his last four starts going 6 innings in each while allowing a total of 5 runs and I think he will deliver against a Cardinals team he hasn't faced at all this season. Miles Mikolas hasn't been nearly as good this year as he was last year especially on the road where he is 2-6 with a 6.75 ERA over 11 starts, and I don't think it will get any better against the dangerous LA lineup. I think Kershaw and the Dodgers keep it rolling in this one. Best of Luck - Doc's Sports |
08-05-19 | Braves v. Twins UNDER 10 | Top | 3-5 | Win | 102 | 10 h 34 m | Show |
10-Unit Play. Take Under 10 Atlanta at Minnesota (8:10 p.m. Monday, August 5) This is a meaningful matchup of two first place teams who are sending All-Star pitchers to the mound who are having great seasons. Jake Odorizzi is 12-5 with a 3.73 ERA over 21 starts and has provided Minnesota with some front line pitching, but he will have to be careful against a dangerous Braves lineup. Mike Soroka has done his best work on the road for Atlanta going 6-0 with a 1.20 ERA and he has never faced the Twins so I think that will play in his favor. Both teams have great offensive lineups but I think the pitching will win out in this one and stay under. Best of Luck - Doc's Sports |
08-04-19 | Angels v. Indians -1.5 | 2-6 | Win | 100 | 2 h 40 m | Show
4-Unit Play. Take #966 Cleveland (-1.5, -110) over LA Angels (1:10 p.m. Sunday, August 4) The Indians have had a lot of moving parts recently with making trades at the trade deadline and figuring out who is going to pitch for them will all the injuries they've had. That hasn't stopped them from winning games though and it seems to have brought them closer together. Shane Bieber has been dealing lately with an ERA under 3 over his last 6 starts and the Indians going 5-1 over those starts. I think Bieber can take advantage of a Los Angeles team that is reeling right now losing seven of their last nine games. Jaime Barria will have his hands full with an Indians lineup that is producing from every spot 1-9. Barria has been downright awful on the road this season with an ERA of 10.62 over 20.1 innings and I don't think he will improve much on that today. I think the Indians complete the sweep and get it done today. Best of Luck - Doc's Sports |
08-03-19 | Blue Jays v. Orioles +108 | 4-6 | Win | 108 | 7 h 28 m | Show
3-Unit Play. Take #916 Baltimore over Toronto (7:05 p.m. Saturday, August 3) The Blue Jays have won six games in a row but I think their winning streak is going to come to an end. Dylan Bundy has fared well against the Blue Jays in his career going 4-3 with a 3.23 ERA and I think he will come through and deliver a solid performance tonight. Thomas Pannone will be pitching for Toronto and he has been brutal on the road this season going 0-3 with a 7.89 ERA over 21.2 innings as he has been a starter and used out of the bullpen. Neither team is going to make the playoffs this season but I think the Orioles will bounce back after losing the first two games of this series. Best of Luck - Doc's Sports |
08-02-19 | White Sox v. Phillies -1.5 | Top | 4-3 | Loss | -105 | 8 h 57 m | Show |
10-Unit Play. Take #976 Philadelphia (-1.5 RL) over Chicago (AL) (7:05 p.m. Friday, August 2) Philadelphia is in the thick of the National League Wild Card race and needs to win games at home against lesser opponents if they want to be playing in the postseason. Enter the Chicago White Sox with their 46-60 overall record and with them being 13 games under .500 on the road. Jason Vargas will be making his first start for the Phillies after being acquired a couple of days ago from the division rival New York Mets. Vargas has been dealing lately and it will help that Yoan Mocada is on the injured list and won't be in the lineup for Chicago. Ivan Nova will have the ball for the White Sox and has been pitching better as well but I think the Phillies lineup will be able to do some damage. Take the Phillies in this one. Best of Luck - Doc's Sports |
08-01-19 | Padres v. Dodgers -1.5 | 2-8 | Win | 100 | 12 h 34 m | Show
4-Unit Play. Take #908 LA Dodgers (-1.5 RL) over San Diego (10:10 p.m. Thursday, August 1) The Dodgers have a 15 game lead in the National League West in large part because of how dominant they have been at home this season as they are 40-14 so far this season. Clayton Kershaw has helped that home record as he has yet to lose there going 6-0 with a 2.30 ERA over 10 starts. Kershaw has been vintage Kershaw over his last 4 starts yielding just 4 earned runs over 25 innings and I think he will keep it going in this matchup against a divisional opponent. Joey Lucchesi will be on the mound for the Padres and he has been up and down this season. He has been mostly down when facing Los Angeles in his career as his ERA is 6.75 over 5 starts and I don't expect that to change in this contest. Best of Luck - Doc's Sports |
07-31-19 | Pirates v. Reds -1.5 | 1-4 | Win | 100 | 2 h 7 m | Show
3-Unit Play. Take #954 Cincinnati (-1.5, -110) over Pittsburgh (12:35 p.m. Wednesday, July 31) The Reds and Pirates will meet for the rubber match of this three game series just over 12 hours after there was a bench clearing brawl between the two clubs. Luis Castillo will be going for his first win against Pittsburgh this season in three tries and with all the emotions and how important a win would be I think he will come through. Dario Agrazal will be making his seventh start of the season for the Pirates but he hasn't been as effective on the road where his ERA is over a run and a half higher than it has been at home. The Reds will be without Yasiel Puig today as he was traded but I think they still find a way to get it done and pick up the win. Best of Luck - Doc's Sports |

07-30-19 | Diamondbacks v. Yankees -1.5 | Top | 4-2 | Loss | -120 | 9 h 43 m | Show |
10-Unit Play. Take #924 NY Yankees (-1.5 RL) over Arizona (7:05 p.m. Tuesday, July 30) The Yankees were served a piece of humble pie this weekend when they lost three of four games to the Red Sox in Boston, but I think they are going to bounce back at home against an Arizona team that is reeling right now. The Yankees are 21 games over .500 at home and J.A Happ will be on the mound looking to add another win to his total. Happ has pitched very well against the Diamondbacks in his career going 3-1 with a 2.03 ERA over 6 appearances (5 starts) and I think he will come through tonight. Rookie Taylor Clarke will be making his 12 starts of the year but he hasn't faced a lineup quite like the Yankees and I think he will be overwhelmed. I like the Yanks in this one. Best of Luck - Doc's Sports |
07-28-19 | Diamondbacks -155 v. Marlins | 1-5 | Loss | -155 | 2 h 46 m | Show
2-Unit Play. Take #903 Arizona over Miami (1:10 p.m. Sunday, July 28) Tensions will be running a little high in the rubber match of this three game series after Christian Walker was beaned for a second time in yesterday's game and the benches cleared. I think the biggest way the Diamondbacks can hurt the Marlins is by letting Robbie Ray do his thing and pick up the win. Trade rumors have been swirling around Ray who has not allowed many runs when facing Miami as his ERA is 2.28 over four starts against the Fish. Elieser Henrnadez will be on the mound for Miami and he has bounced back and forth between being a starter and working out of the bullpen this year. Hernandez hasn't been particularly effective at either one as his ERA is 5.24 across 34.1 innings and I think Arizona's offense will beat up on him. Take the D'backs in this one. Best of Luck - Doc's Sports |
07-26-19 | Tigers v. Mariners -130 | Top | 2-3 | Win | 100 | 11 h 34 m | Show |
10-Unit Play. Take #928 Seattle over Detroit (10:10 p.m. Friday, July 26) No one is going to make the mistake of saying this is going to be a great pitching matchup as both of the starting pitchers have had their share of struggles. Daniel Norris hasn't picked up a victory since May 12th and has an ERA just under 6 over 12 starts. Additionally, Norris has never beaten the Mariners going 0-2 with a 5.79 ERA in 5 career starts and I think Seattle's offense will carry the momentum they have built up in the past couple of games. Yusei Kikuchi will be on the mound for the Mariners and he has won just once in his last 10 starts, but he has never faced the Tigers so I think that will be an advantage he will be able to exploit. I think Seattle keeps their winning streak going and gets the win. Best of Luck - Doc's Sports |
07-25-19 | Indians -144 v. Royals | 5-4 | Win | 100 | 9 h 15 m | Show
3-Unit Play. Take #961 Cleveland over Kansas City(8:15 p.m. Thursday, July 25) Adam Plutko has been really good against the Royals in two starts but he doesn't have a win to show for it, but I think the third time will be the charm for him. Plutko has held Kansas City to a .083 batting average allowing two earned runs on three hits over eleven innings and I think he can be just as good in this one. His offense hasn't given him to much run support but the Indians have been coming up with the big hits recently and I think they will come through for Plutko today. Mike Montgomery will be starting for Kansas City and it will be just his second start he will be making this season. He pitched out of the bullpen for the Cubs this season before being traded a couple of weeks ago so he will most likely be on a pitch count as he lasted just two innings in his first start. I think the Indians keep it rolling in this one and get the win. |
07-24-19 | Indians -124 v. Blue Jays | 4-0 | Win | 100 | 4 h 45 m | Show
4-Unit Play. Take #917 Cleveland over Toronto (7:10 p.m. Wednesday, July 24) There is a lot on the line for both teams in tonight's matchup for different reasons. The Indians have been balling lately going 29-12 since June 4 to climb to within three games behind Minnesota for the American League Central lead. They need to win games like these and series like this if they want to keep their push for the playoffs going. The Blue Jays have no chance to make the playoffs but they can keep building for their future by making some trades at the deadline. Scheduled starter Marcus Stroman has been rumored to be moved and can bring in some nice prospects. Stroman has been pitching well lately but I think the Indians are going to keep it going and pick up the win. Shane Bieber will be on the bump for Cleveland and he is 6-2 with a 3.19 ERA in 9 starts on the road which is a full run lower than at home. Take Cleveland in this one. |
07-23-19 | Padres -131 v. Mets | Top | 2-5 | Loss | -131 | 8 h 25 m | Show |
10-Unit Play. Take #955 San Diego over NY Mets (7:10 p.m. Tuesday, July 23) The flight home from San Francisco was going to be grueling enough for the Mets, but the fact that they dropped a third game out of four to the Giants on the way out had to make the flight even worse. Things aren't going to get any easier when they show up to the ballpark tonight when the Mets have to face Chris Paddack who has been lights out recently. Paddack has allowed 2 earned runs over his last 19.1 innings which has resulted in three wins for the Padres. Paddack shut out the Mets earlier this season over 7.2 innings allowing just 4 hits in a 4-0 win and I think he will deliver a similar performance in tonight's contest. Jason Vargas will be on the mound for New York and he picked up a win his last time out, but that was more because his offense backed him up with 14 runs. Vargas has allowed 12 earned runs over his last three starts spanning 16.1 innings and I think the San Diego offense will do some damage against him tonight. I think the Dads in this one. Best of Luck - Strike Point Sports |
07-22-19 | Cardinals -110 v. Pirates | 6-5 | Win | 100 | 8 h 25 m | Show
3-Unit Play. Take #903 St. Louis over Pittsburgh (7:05 p.m. Monday, July 22) These two teams met just last week with the Cardinals taking two of three from them and they have been going in opposite directions since the All Star break. The Cardinals have scored 49 runs and went 7-3 since the All-Star break and they have Daniel Ponce de Leon taking the hill who has been impressive since being called up. Ponce de Leon owns a 2.80 ERA across 35.1 innings while holding opponents to a .187 batting average. Trevor Williams will have the ball for Pittsburgh and he has bee brutal since coming off the injured list going 1-2 with a 9.53 ERA over four starts. Williams hasn't fared well against St. Louis in his career and with the way the Cardinals have been playing lately I don't see that changing in this one. Take St. Louis. Best of Luck - Doc's Sports |
07-20-19 | Brewers v. Diamondbacks -136 | Top | 8-3 | Loss | -136 | 9 h 37 m | Show |
10-Unit Play. Take #912 Arizona over Milwaukee (8:10 p.m. Saturday, July 20) Most of the time I wouldn't have a lot of faith in Gio Gonzalez but I have even less confidence in him now that he is making his first start since May 27th due to arm fatigue. I also think the Diamondbacks have the advantage in this one with Zack Greinke being on the mound. Greinke was not at his best his last time out when he yielded 5 runs over 6 innings at St. Louis in a 5-2 loss, but I think he will fare better at home against the Brewers who he hasn't faced this season. The Brewers bullpen will be counted on tonight as Gonzalez won't last long but they used 4 relievers in last nights contest so I think that will be a factor as well. These teams split the first two games of this series and are separated by just a 1/2 game in the standings and I like the home team to pick up the win. Best of Luck - Doc's Sports |
07-19-19 | Nationals v. Braves UNDER 10.5 | Top | 3-4 | Win | 100 | 7 h 15 m | Show |
10-Unit Play. Take Under 10 Washington at Atlanta (7:20 p.m. Friday, July 19) Atlanta and Washington are in a crucial series as they are in first and second place respectively in the National League East. They will both be sending pitchers to the mound that have been in a groove lately. Julio Teheran has allowed just 4 earned runs over his last three starts and he is 3-2 with a 2.66 ERA over 8 starts at home. Patrick Corbin has been fantastic recently allowing more than one run in just one of his last five starts, all National wins. These teams have only played each other six times so they still have thirteen matchups between them that will go a long way in determining who is going to win the East. I think this is going to be a close game and will be a low scoring contest. Best of Luck - Doc's Sports |
07-18-19 | Tigers v. Indians -1.5 | Top | 3-6 | Win | 100 | 8 h 23 m | Show |
10-Unit Play. Take #920 Cleveland (-1.5 RL) over Detroit (7:10 p.m. Thursday, July 18) There was talk of the Indians being sellers at the trade deadline when they were struggling, but they have turned things around and are just four games behind the Twins for the American Central lead. Cleveland has owned Detroit this season winning 11 of the 12 matchups and with Trevor Bauer taking the mound I think they will win this one and complete the sweep. Cleveland has won six of the last seven starts Bauer has made and he has 57 strikeouts over those games. Matthew Boyd has pitched well for the Tigers this year but he is catching the Indians at the wrong time as they are getting contributions all throughout their lineup and Jose Ramirez is starting to produce for the tribe. I like Cleveland to get it done in this one. Best of Luck - Doc's Sports |
07-17-19 | Pirates v. Cardinals -134 | 5-6 | Win | 100 | 2 h 55 m | Show
3-Unit Play. Take #952 St. Louis over Pittsburgh (1:15 p.m. Wednesday, July 17) Things have been pretty even with the Pirates and Cardinals this year as they both have beaten each other 4 times and the Cardinals are just 1.5 games up on the Pirates in the standings. I think the Cardinals are going to win tonight to win this series and take the lead in the season series. Chris Archer hasn't been very good for most of this season as he is 3-6 with a 5.42 ERA and I think the St. Louis offense is going to give him fits today. Daniel Ponce de Leon has been very good in his three starts at home this year allowing just 2 earned runs over 17.2 innings while holding opponents to a .121 average. St. Louis is a better team and I think they will prove that in this contest. Best of Luck - Doc's Sports |
07-16-19 | Nationals -1.5 v. Orioles | Top | 8-1 | Win | 100 | 8 h 22 m | Show |
10-Unit Play. Take #925 Washington (-1.5 RL) over Baltimore (7:05 p.m. Tuesday, July 16) The Baltimore Orioles knew this season was going to be a rebuilding year and they have had their struggles. Enter the Washington Nationals that are their interstate rivals and are one of the hottest teams in all of baseball right now. The Nationals have won 30 of 42 games to climb into second place in the National League East and I think they will dispose of the Orioles in this one. Austin Voth will be making a spot start for Max Scherzer who was placed on the disabled list with a back strain. Asher Wojciechowski will be making his third start for the O's and I don't think he will be able to limit the Washington offense that has been clicking lately. Take the Nats here. Best of Luck - Doc's Sports |
07-15-19 | Tigers v. Indians -1.5 | Top | 6-8 | Win | 100 | 8 h 23 m | Show |
10-Unit Play. Take #966 Cleveland (-1.5 RL) over Detroit (7:10 p.m. Monday, July 15) Cleveland has dominated Detroit so far in the season series taking eight of the nine matchups they have had and I think there will be another Cleveland win tonight. The Indians are starting to make their move as they have been chasing the Twins for most of the season, winning seven of their last nine games. Adam Plutko will be on the mound for the Indians and he already beat the Tigers this year when he allowed 2 earned runs over 6 innings in a 13-4 win and I think he can match that performance in this one. Daniel Norris will have the ball for Detroit and he has lost his last three starts allowing 14 earned runs over 17 innings. I like the Indians here. Best of Luck - Doc's Sports |
07-07-19 | Cardinals v. Giants OVER 8 | Top | 0-1 | Loss | -104 | 5 h 29 m | Show |
10-Unit Play. Take Over in St. Louis at San Francisco (4:05 p.m. Sunday, July 7) There have been plenty of runs in the first two games of this series with each team winning one game. I think there will be a bunch more runs scored in this contest as well with the two pitchers on the mound. Jack Flaherty has been awful lately going 0-2 with a 7.82 ERA over his last 5 starts, and in his two previous starts in San Francisco he has allowed 8 runs over 6 1/3 innings. Jeff Samardzija will be on the bump for the Giants and he has allowed at least 4 earned runs in three of his last four starts and I can see the Cardinals offense producing like that in this contest. I like the over here. Best of Luck - Doc's Sports |
07-06-19 | Cardinals v. Giants -120 | Top | 4-8 | Win | 100 | 11 h 33 m | Show |
10-Unit Play. Take #908 San Francisco over St. Louis (10:05 p.m. Saturday, July 6) There have been plenty of rumors that Madison Bumgarner could be traded before the trade deadline so this could be an audition of sorts for him. He will be facing a Cardinals team that hasn't been playing their best ball and will be without one of their best players as Marcell Ozuna is still on a rehab assignment. Miles Mikolas will be pitching for St. Louis and he hasn't been able to recapture his pitching form that led him to 18 wins last season. The Giants lost last night's contest but I think they are going to bounce back in this game and even up the series. Best of Luck - Doc's Sports |
07-05-19 | Orioles v. Blue Jays -125 | 4-1 | Loss | -125 | 8 h 56 m | Show
3-Unit Play. Take #964 Toronto over Baltimore (7:10 p.m. Friday, July 5) The Blue Jays and Orioles have both struggled this year as they are both in the midst of rebuilding. The Jays have some promising young players that they have called up including Vladimir Guerrero Jr and Cavan Biggio. Aaron Sanchez is in desperate need of a good start as he hasn't won a game since April 27th. Facing the Orioles could help as Sanchez is 6-3 with a 3.90 ERA over 18 appearances (13 starts) against them in his career. Dylan Bundy will be pitching for Baltimore and he hasn't been very good for most of the season. Bundy went 1-4 with a 5.68 ERA over 5 starts in June and I think his struggles will continue in this one. Best of Luck - Doc's Sports |
07-04-19 | Twins -131 v. A's | 2-7 | Loss | -131 | 6 h 43 m | Show
7-Unit Play. Take #915 Minnesota over Oakland (4:10 p.m. Thursday, July 4) The Twins have a big advantage in the rubber match of this series between teams who both have playoff aspirations and its with the starting pitching. Jose Berrios will be on the mound making his final start before he heads to the All star game. Berrios had an ERA of 2.06 in five starts in June allowing 2 earned runs or fewer in four of those starts. Tanner Anderson will be making his fifth start for the A's and Oakland has lost his four previous starts. Anderson has allowed 14 earned runs over 17.2 innings and he will have to be careful facing the offense that has scored the most runs in the American League. I think the Twins head back to Minnesota after taking the rubber match of this series. Best of Luck - Doc's Sports |
07-03-19 | Tigers v. White Sox -139 | 5-7 | Win | 100 | 3 h 7 m | Show
3-Unit Play. Take #982 Chicago (AL) over Detroit (2:10 p.m. Wednesday, July 3) The White Sox fans get to finally see what the hype is all about as Dylan Cease is going to be making his major league debut today. Cease is being brought up to help bolster a pitching staff that hasn't had much behind All-Star Lucas Giolito. It will help that Cease is facing Detroit who has scored the fewest runs in all of baseball. The Tigers have gone 1-9 in their last 10 games and will send Daniel Norris to the mound. Norris has had success against the White Sox in the past, but he has struggled recently. He had an ERA over 5 in six June starts and hasn't won a game since May 12th and I think he will struggle in this matchup. I like Chicago in this one. Best of Luck - Doc's Sports |
06-30-19 | Phillies -129 v. Marlins | 13-6 | Win | 100 | 2 h 40 m | Show
2-Unit Play. Take #901 Philadelphia over Miami (1:10 p.m. Sunday, June 30) The Marlins have had the Phillies number recently beating them five straight times, but I think that is going to come to an end today. Jake Arrieta has already beaten Miami twice this season and I think he can come through for them again. Arrieta hasn't been spectacular recently but the Phillies have won three out of his last four starts and I think they get out of Miami with a win. Trevor Richards was rocked in his only start against the Phillies this season allowing 5 runs on 6 hits (2 home runs) in a 12-9 loss. Philadelphia snaps their losing skid to the Marlins in this one. Best of Luck - Doc's Sports |
06-29-19 | Diamondbacks -138 v. Giants | 4-3 | Win | 100 | 11 h 56 m | Show
4-Unit Play. Take #961 Arizona over San Francisco (10:05 p.m. Saturday, June 29) Arizona doesn't have any time to waste if they are going to get back into the Wild card or divisional race. Having Zack Greinke take the mound certainly doesn't hurt, especially when he is facing the Giants in San Francisco. Greinke has never lost in San Francisco in seven starts as he is 5-0 with a 1.37 ERA and I think he can have similar success in this one. Drew Pomeranz had a season best 11 strikeouts his last time out, but he has been mostly bad this season as his ERA stands at 6.79. I like the Diamondbacks in this one. Best of Luck - Doc's Sports |
06-28-19 | Cubs -109 v. Reds | 3-6 | Loss | -109 | 8 h 12 m | Show
4-Unit Play. Take #901 Chicago (NL) over Cincinnati (7:10 p.m. Friday, June 28) The Cubs are in first place in the National League Central while the Reds are in last place, but just a mere 6.5 games behind them. Cole Hamels has been fantastic in his 5 June starts going 2-1 with a 1.00 ERA and furthermore he has dominated the Reds in his career. Hamels is 11-1 with a 1.91 ERA across 17 starts he has made against Cincinnati in his career and I think he can lead the Cubs to a victory in this one. Sonny Gray has an ERA of 4.50 against Chicago over two starts and the Cubs got a recent boost with Craig Kimbrel picking up a save in last night's contest. I think Chicago picks up the win in game 1 of this series. Best of Luck - Doc's Sports |
06-27-19 | Rangers -114 v. Tigers | 3-1 | Win | 100 | 2 h 46 m | Show
3-Unit Play. Take #961 Texas over Detroit (1:10 p.m. Thursday, June 27) The Rangers are holding their own the American League West and sit 5.5 games behind the Astros for first place. They have taken the first two games of this series in Detroit and I think they can finish off the sweep today. Spencer Turnbull has had a fine rookie season for the Tigers, but he hasn't figured it out yet pitching in Detroit. Turnbull is 0-5 with a 4.89 ERA in 9 starts at Comerica Park and I think he will leave this game without a win as well. Ariel Jurado will be starting for Texas and he should be able to get some out against one of the worst offenses in baseball. Texas gets it done. Best of Luck - Doc's Sports |
06-26-19 | Blue Jays v. Yankees -1.5 | 7-8 | Loss | -130 | 2 h 12 m | Show
4-Unit Play. Take #914 N.Y. Yankees (-1.5 RL) over Toronto (1:05 p.m. Wednesday, June 26) James Paxton has won back to back starts and seems to be fully recovered from the knee injury that landed him on the disabled list. Paxton has been really good when pitching in the Bronx this year holding opponents to a .185 average and a 2.10 ERA over 34.1 innings (7 starts). It certainly doesn't hurt that Paxton is backed by one of the best offenses in the majors that is hitting home runs at a record pace. The Yankees set a major league record by hitting a home run in 28 consecutive games and I don't see why they won't continue that streak tonight against Blue Jays starter Trent Thornton. Thornton faced the Yankees on June 5th and allowed 4 runs over 5 innings allowing one home run. The Yankees have won 8 of the last 10 games against the Blue Jays at Yankee Stadium and I think they will complete the sweep in this series. Best of Luck - Doc's Sports |
06-25-19 | Nationals -1.5 v. Marlins | 6-1 | Win | 100 | 8 h 13 m | Show
4-Unit Play. Take #953 Washington (-1.5 RL) over Miami (7:10 p.m. Tuesday, June 25) To say Max Scherzer has had a pretty good June would be a huge understatement. Scherzer has won all 4 of his starts allowing just three earned runs across 29 innings while amassing 44 strikeouts. I think Scherzer can keep it going against a Marlins team that hasn't been very good at home this season where they are 13-25. Scherzer will have to find a way to get Garrett Cooper out as he will bring a 14 game hitting streak into tonight's contest. Trevor Richards will have the ball for the Marlins and he took the 5-0 loss against the Nationals on April 21st allowing 3 runs on 6 hits with two of those hits leaving the ball park. Washington has been playing some good baseball recently and I think they can get back on track with their ace on the hill. Best of Luck - Doc's Sports |
06-24-19 | Blue Jays v. Yankees -1.5 | 8-10 | Win | 100 | 8 h 58 m | Show
3-Unit Play. Take #910 NY Yankees (-1.5, -135) over Toronto (7:05 p.m. Monday, June 24) The Yankees are looking to tie a major league record by hitting a home run in their 27th straight game tonight and with the lineup that they will roll out their I think they will be able to do that. Aaron Sanchez will certainly have his hands full and he hasn't won a game for the Blue Jays in a long time. Sanchez is 0-8 with a 7.55 ERA over his last 10 starts and facing the Yankees right now doesn't seem like a recipe for success. C.C. Sabathia will be on the mound for New York and he picked up his 250th career victory his last time out. Sabathia doesn't have to be special to get a win, he just needs to get through 5 innings and turn it over to the bullpen which I think he will be able to do. Take the Yankees in this one. Best of Luck - Doc's Sports |
06-23-19 | Padres v. Pirates UNDER 9.5 | 10-11 | Loss | -117 | 2 h 44 m | Show
3-Unit Play. Take Under in San Diego at Pittsburgh (1:35 p.m. Sunday, June 23) The Padres are looking to avoid the sweep at the hands of the Pirates which could be tough as they have struggled in the first two games of this series. San Diego has scored just 4 runs in the first two games of the series and runs could be hard to come by with the way Steven Brault has pitched recently. Brault has given up just four runs over his last 21 1/3 innings and I wouldn't be surprised if he put up similar results today. Joey Lucchesi will be pitching for the Padres and he has had success against the Pirates in the past going 1-1 with a 1.50 ERA across two starts. Lucchesi has been better recently and he will need to be to help snap the Padres recent slide. Best of Luck - Doc's Sports |
06-22-19 | Mets v. Cubs -127 | 10-2 | Loss | -127 | 3 h 9 m | Show
3-Unit Play. Take #902 Chicago (NL) over N.Y. Mets (2:20 p.m. Saturday, June 22) The Cubs sit atop the National League Central and I think they will add another win to their total after this one. Jose Quintana will be pitching for Chicago and he has pitched well in front of the home crowd this season. Quintana is 3-3 with a 2.98 ERA and has allowed just one home run over 45.1 innings pitched at Wrigley. Zack Wheeler hasn't been very good in June as he is 0-2 with a 6.11 ERA in three starts allowing 5 home runs across 17.2 innings and I feel like someone will take him deep for the Cubs in this matchup. The Cubs are 26-13 at Wrigley Field and I think they bounce back after losing last night's game. Best of Luck - Doc's Sports |
06-21-19 | Tigers v. Indians UNDER 7.5 | 6-7 | Loss | -104 | 8 h 59 m | Show
3-Unit Play. Take Under Detroit at Cleveland (7:10 p.m. Friday, June 21) Cleveland has beaten up on the Tigers so far this season and I think they will get another win in this one. Trevor Bauer had one of his best performances of the season his last time out when he shut out the Tigers over 9 innings allowing just 4 hits and I think he can have similar results against the light hitting Detroit squad. Matthew Boyd will be on the bump for Detroit and he has pitched well against the Indians in his career. Boyd is 2-3 with a 2.90 ERA over 8 starts and he will be facing an Indians lineup that hasn't produced this year like they have done in years past. I think this game will stay under. Best of Luck - Doc's Sports |
06-20-19 | Twins -1.5 v. Royals | 1-4 | Loss | -115 | 9 h 17 m | Show
4-Unit Play. Take #919 Minnesota (-1.5 RL) over Kansas City (8:15 p.m. Thursday, June 20) Jake Odorizzi has always been a solid pitcher but he is having a career year this year and I think he will continue that tonight. Odorizzi (10-2, 2.24 ERA) leads the American League in ERA and the Twins have won the last 11 games he has started which includes a 5-4 win over the Royals his last time out. Glenn Sparkman will be on the bump for the Royals and he has not had much luck in his career when facing Minnesota. Sparkman is 0-3 with a 6.75 ERA in five appearances against the Twins and I think he will have his hands full with the lineup the Twins will put out there. Minnesota is 4-1 against the Royals so far this season and I think they will pick up another win tonight. Best of Luck - Doc's Sports |
06-19-19 | Brewers -107 v. Padres | 7-8 | Loss | -107 | 5 h 58 m | Show
7-Unit Play. Take #951 Milwaukee over San Diego (3:40 p.m. Wednesday, June 19) This recent road trip hasn't gone the way the Brewers would of liked as they are 2-5 currently, but a win before they head back to Milwaukee could make the flight home a little easier. The Brewers have really struggled in the first two games of this series against the Padres scoring just one run, but I think that will change in today's matchup. Matt Strahm is 1-2 with a 5.60 ERA in 5 starts at Petco Park this season and he has lost his last three starts yielding 16 runs over 13.2 innings, allowing 2 home runs in each of those starts. Zach Davies seems like the perfect guy to lead the Brewers to a win as he has had a great season so far going 7-1 with a 2.60 ERA over 14 starts. Davies has dominated the Padres when pitching in San Diego winning all three starts there with a shiny 1.93 ERA. I like the Brewers to get out of town with a win. Best of Luck - Doc's Sports |
06-17-19 | Mets v. Braves -149 | 3-12 | Win | 100 | 8 h 5 m | Show
10-Unit Play. Take #954 Atlanta over NY Mets (7:20 p.m. Monday, June 17) If anyone on the Braves was allowed to have a bad start it was Mike Soroka as he allowed 5 earned runs over 5 innings his last time out. It was just the second time all season Soroka had allowed more than 1 earned run over the 11 starts he has made. Soroka is 2-0 with a 0.73 ERA against the Mets in two starts and I think he will bounce back and come through for Atlanta. He may not have to do much with the way the Braves are playing seeing how they have won nine of their last ten games. Zack Wheeler will be on the bump for New York and he is very familiar with the Braves having made 11 starts against them in his career. Wheeler hasn't faced them this season and he has struggled on the road going 2-3 with a 5.48 ERA. I think the Braves keep it rolling and pick up another in this one. Best of Luck - Doc's Sports |

06-15-19 | Yankees -1.5 v. White Sox | 8-4 | Win | 100 | 5 h 11 m | Show
7-Unit Play. Take #975 NY Yankees (-1.5 RL) over Chicago (AL) (7:10 p.m. Saturday, June 15) The White Sox are going to win the season series against the Yankees for the first time since 2012 but I like the Yankees to win this contest. Reynaldo Lopez has been as up and down this season as a pitcher could be and he has allowed 9 home run over his last 6 starts. Additionally, he has allowed 20 earned runs over his last four starts spanning 19.1 innings and even though he has had success against the Yankees in the past I think the Bronx Bombers will do some damage in this one. New York is getting healthier as Didi Gregorius and Aaron Hicks have made their way back while Giancarlo Stanton and Aaron Judge are both on rehab assignments. Chad Green will serve as the opener/starter for the Yankees and New York is 4-0 in games he has thrown the first pitch for them. I think the Yankees end their three game losing streak with a win in this one. Best of Luck - Doc's Sports |

06-14-19 | Indians -150 v. Tigers | Top | 13-4 | Win | 100 | 8 h 9 m | Show |
10-Unit Play. Take #919 Cleveland over Detroit (7:10 p.m. Friday, June 14) Game of the Week. Cleveland came in with high expectations again this season but have scuffled due to injuries and inconsistent play. Playing against the Tigers could help turn things around and give them some momentum as the All-Star break nears. The Indians took two of three games from Detroit earlier this season and I think they will win this matchup. Adam Plutko has been sharp in two of his three starts allowing two runs or fewer and I think he can limit a Tigers team that ranks in the bottom of most offensive categories. Ryan Carpenter has been brutal when pitching at home this season going 1-3 with a 10.53 ERA over four starts allowing 7 home runs across 19.2 innings. I like the Indians to take the first game of this series. Best of Luck - Doc's Sports |

06-13-19 | Diamondbacks -118 v. Nationals | 5-0 | Win | 100 | 8 h 41 m | Show
3-Unit Play. Take #953 Arizona over Washington (7:05 p.m. Thursday, June 13) Arizona and Washington need all the wins they can get as they both try to stay in the divisional race in their respective divisions. I think Arizona is going to get the win with Zack Greinke scheduled to pitch tonight. Greinke has been dominant against the Nationals in his career going 5-1 with a 1.46 ERA across eight starts, and with the way he has been pitching this season I think he can have similar results. Erick Fedde has pitched out of the bullpen for Washington but he has also made five starts. He hasn't been as effective as a starter and I think the Diamondbacks will be able to produce off him. I like Arizona in this one. Best of Luck - Doc's Sports |

06-12-19 | Padres -126 v. Giants | 2-4 | Loss | -126 | 10 h 21 m | Show
3-Unit Play. Take #909 San Diego over San Francisco (9:45 p.m. Wednesday, June 12) The Padres are looking to salvage a series split as they made a quick two game trip to San Francisco and I think Joey Lucchesi will help them do that. Lucchesi has faced the Giants twice this season going 1-1 and I think he will be on the right side of this one. He will be opposed by rookie Shaun Anderson who has struggled in 3 starts at AT&T Park going 0-1 with a 4.80 ERA. The Padres have taken five of the eight matchups these teams have played so far this season and I think they will get another win in this one. Best of Luck - Doc's Sports |

06-11-19 | Blue Jays v. Orioles UNDER 8.5 | 2-4 | Win | 100 | 9 h 4 m | Show
3-Unit Play. Take Under Toronto at Baltimore (7:05 p.m. Tuesday, June 11) Toronto and Baltimore are both in rebuild mode and are playing this season with an eye on the future. There have been a lot of struggles already this season and there will be more for both. The Orioles may have found something in left handed pitcher John Means who has gone 3-1 with a 1.53 ERA at home this season. Means hasn't allowed more than one run in four out of his last six starts and I think he can deliver that kind of performance against Toronto that has had difficulty scoring runs lately. Trent Thornton has shown flashes for the Blue Jays but needs to be more consistent. He has pitched well on the road this season going 1-1 with a 3.21 ERA over 6 starts. I think this game will stay under. Best of Luck - Doc's Sports |

06-10-19 | Dodgers -1.5 v. Angels | 3-5 | Loss | -100 | 11 h 37 m | Show
4-Unit Play. Take #917 LA Dodgers (-1.5 RL) over LA Angels (10:10 p.m. Monday, June 10) It's no shock that a Dodger pitcher is the leading candidate for the Cy Young Award, but it is a little surprising that its Hyun-Jin Ryu. Ryu comes into tonight's contest with a 9-1 record and a 1.35 ERA. He has allowed just 3 earned runs over his last 52.2 innings and he has had his way with the Angels in his career going 2-0 with a 0.83 ERA in three starts. Griffin Canning will be pitching for the Angels and he has pitched well but I think he is catching the Dodgers at the wrong time. The Dodgers have been playing well recently and I think they will keep it rolling in this one. Best of Luck - Doc's Sports |

06-08-19 | Braves -139 v. Marlins | 1-0 | Win | 100 | 6 h 57 m | Show
2-Unit Play. Take #905 Atlanta over Miami (4:10 p.m. Saturday, June 8) Atlanta has beaten up the Marlins this season going 6-1 against them and I think they will win this matchup as well. Julio Teheran has been rolling over his last 6 starts allowing just three runs with the Braves going 5-1 over those contests. One of those games was against Miami when Teheran allowed just two hits over 6 innings in a 3-1 Atlanta win. Trevor Richards will be on the bump for the Marlins and he will have his hands full with the Braves lineup led by Freddie Freeman. Richards has faced Atlanta twice in his career without much success as his ERA is over 5 in those contests. I like the Braves to continue their dominance over the Marlins and pick up another victory. Best of Luck - Doc's Sports |

06-07-19 | Braves -1.5 v. Marlins | 7-1 | Win | 100 | 8 h 59 m | Show
3-Unit Play. Take #955 Atlanta (-1.5 RL) over Miami (7:10 p.m. Friday, June 7) Even though the Marlins have the worst record in the National League, they have been playing better baseball as of late, but I don't think it will matter with the way Mike Soroka has been pitching for the Braves. Soroka has allowed just one home run all season and 9 earned runs over 57.1 innings pitched. Atlanta made a move to sign Dallas Keuchel which will only help their chances of winning the division again this year. Jose Urena will be pitching for Miami and has pitched well recently, but he owns an ERA over 6 in 15 appearances (12 starts) against the Braves in his career. I like the Braves to continue their success against the Marlins in this one. Best of Luck - Doc's Sports |

06-05-19 | Dodgers -1.5 v. Diamondbacks | 2-3 | Loss | -100 | 4 h 27 m | Show
7-Unit Play. Take #953 LA Dodgers (-1.5 RL) over Arizona (3:40 p.m. Wednesday, June 5) The Diamondbacks have been in a rut recently and I don't think they will snap out of it in tonight's contest. Kenta Maeda has won his last four starts yielding just 5 runs over 23 2/3 innings and I think he can take advantage of Arizona's struggles. Jon Duplantier pitched well in his first major league start picking up the win against the Mets but he is facing a different beast in the Dodgers lineup that is getting production all throughout their lineup. Los Angeles has won five out of the six matchups between these two teams this season and I think they will pick up another victory tonight. Best of Luck - Doc's Sports |

06-04-19 | Rays v. Tigers UNDER 8.5 | 6-9 | Loss | -100 | 9 h 9 m | Show
3-Unit Play. Take Under 8.5 Tampa Bay at Detroit (7:10 p.m. Tuesday, June 4) The Rays come into tonight's contest on a 3 game losing streak but they have a couple of reasons to feel good about their chances of getting a win tonight. Facing the Detroit Tigers who are one of the worst teams in all of baseball and are missing some of their regulars is one. Having the reigning CY Young Award winner take the mound is another. Blake Snell had a couple hiccups in some of his starts to begin the season but he has allowed just 6 runs over his last 5 starts spanning 30.1 innings and I think he will limit Detroit in this one. Ryan Carpenter has had two good starts in a row where he allowed 2 runs in each and he has never faced the Rays so I think that will be an advantage. Best of Luck - Doc's Sports |
