NFL Power Rankings Week 12
Looking for 2016 NFL Power Rankings? Week 12 of the NFL season is in the books – it was yet another unforgettable slate of games that we all had the pleasure of witnessing. It has become more clear each and every week which are the teams to beat going forward – Dallas looks like the class of the NFC and the Pats are still far and away the best of the AFC.

A good portion of last week’s dirty dozen were on by this week but that hasn’t stopped the weekly shake-up in the Rankings.
So where does your favorite stand heading into Week 12? Let’s take a look in Dave B’s Week 12 NFL Power Rankings.
1. Dallas Cowboys (9-1)
Last Week: 1
For the first time in team history the Cowboys have won nine straight games. They are tops in the NFL Overall Standings and have arguably the most balanced offenses in the game.
Dak Prescott continues to make us forget about Tony Romo, Zeke Elliot looks like the best RB in the league and Dez Bryant has developed an incredible rapport with his QB.
There is no doubting the Cowboys right now – they are legit in every facet of the game.
2. New England Patriots (8-2)
Last Week: 2
The Patriots are more like a 1B again this week rather than a #2 team. They toyed with the 49ers for a while but in the end ran away with the game despite being without Rob Gronkowski.
Tom Brady threw four TDs and the defense sacked the slippery Colin Kaepernick four times.

New England is a scary team folks – as solid a team as there is in the NFL.
3. Seattle Seahawks (7-2-1)
Last Week: 5
Don’t look now but the Seattle Seahawks are playing some incredible ball!
They absolutely manhandled a very good Philadelphia defense at home on Sunday and look like the biggest threat to the Cowboys based on their experience.
Russell Wilson is healthy, the running game seems to be back on track and the defense is its typical stout self. Imagine when they get Michael Bennett back from injury!
4. Oakland Raiders (8-2)
Last Week: 3
It wasn’t pretty but the Raiders got it done on Monday night.
On the bad side they rushed for about 20 or so yards – BUT their back has almost 200 yards receiving. Derek Carr seems to be willing his team to victory and looks like a superstar in the making.
Oakland is 8-2!!!!!!!!
5. Denver Broncos (7-3)
Last Week: 6
The Broncos rise in the Rankings despite not playing this week. Trevor Siemian still creates a few red flags – defense and a running game will be crucial for this team going forward.
I have faith in both.
6. New York Giants (7-3)
Last Week: 8
The Giants have won five straight games and look like the second best team in the tough NFC East.
The streak comes as the team has found a semblance of a running game – Rashad Jennings has re-emerged and the defense has been better than advertised as well.

Jason Pierre-Paul and Olivier Vernon give the Giants one of the most formidable pass rushing units in the game – they alone will keep New York close week-in and week-out.
7. Washington Redskins (6-3-1)
Last Week: 12
If the Cowboys are the best team in the NFC and the G-Men second the Redskins are a close third. Their offense is balanced and dangerous and their defense, like New York’s has been playing very well of late.
Kirk Cousins has been terrific and Josh Norman is finally starting to earn his lofty paycheck. A win against Green Bay Sunday night was quite a statement but the team has three straight road games coming up.
8. Kansas City Chiefs (7-3)
Last Week: 4
The Chiefs delivered a bit of a dud in Week 11 losing at home to the Bucs. The offense hasn’t been great AT ALL and stalled in the red zone badly on Sunday.
The defense has been disappointing as well – the reason that KC slips four spots this week.
9. Atlanta Falcons (6-4)
Last Week: 7
The Falcons were on their bye in Week 11 – they have been decent and if not for a couple of bad bounces could be 8-2.
That said the running game has slumped and the defense is once again a bit too generous for them to be considered a top flight team.
A date with the struggling Cardinals in Week 12 will go a long way in telling us what this team will look like.
10. Detroit Lions (6-4)
Last Week: 16
The Lions keep getting it done in dramatic fashion – this time it was a last minute TD that sealed their win.
But without a formidable running game (just 21 yards on 14 carries Sunday) this team will continue as an average team – the defense is a concern as well.
11. Houston Texans (6-4)
Last Week: 9
The Texans fall out of the top 10. Simply put they are just an OK team.

That’s all I got.
12. Miami Dolphins (6-4)
Last Week: 11
The Fins tried to lose on Sunday against the Rams as they failed to score in the first 57 minutes of that game. Jay Ajayi had his first poor game in some time and the team suffered.
Ryan Tannehill and DeVante Parker look an awful lot like the next great QB-WR tandem however and as long as the O-line keeps getting healthier Miami could make things very interesting in the AFC.
