SEC 2017 Betting
Looking for SEC 2017 Football Conference betting picks? The SEC Conference seems to be considered the premier college in football from top to bottom. But every year it seems that the Alabama Crimson Tide are the team that comes out on top, and that was the case again last year. The Crimson Tide blew the doors off the Florida Gators in the Championship game winning by a final score of 54-16.

There won’t be any chance at the top of SEC this year.
Alabama is the premier team in not only this league, but all of college football, and they will show it when they step on the field again this year.
Reasons Alabama Will Win The SEC
Duel Threat Quarterback
The Crimson Tide are led by Jalen Hurts at the quarterback position who has been a really good addition for the team.
He has a strong arm and can really control the offense, but he adds a wrinkle to the offense that Saban isn’t used too, with his ability to run the ball

Last year he was second on the team rushing with 954 yards. That really helps open up the rest of the offense because opposing defenses always have to be ready for his legs.
With Hurts being another year older, I think Saban will trust him even more, and he will allow him to take more control over the offense, which I think will also really help his development.
An Abundance of Running Backs
As everyone knows Alabama is really good at recruiting, and sometimes they are a little too good at recruiting, and that is the case with the running back position.
Bo Scarbrough and Damien Harris would be the starting running backs on any other team in the country, but at Alabama they are fine with splitting carries and make an impressive 1-2 punch out of the backfield.
Last year Scarbrough had 812 yards rushing and 11 touchdowns, and Harris had 1040 yards and two touchdowns. They create probably the best backfield in the country.

With Hurts rushing for over 950 yards last year that allows the Crimson Tide to have probably the best one, two and three person punch in the nation.
Strong Defense
Last year Alabama had the number two defense in the country, and the number one defense against the run and scoring, and although they only bring six starters back from last years team, no one around the Crimson Tide seemed to be any concerned about the defense taking a step back.
Da’Ron Payne and Da’Shawn Hand anchor the big boys up front, and both of these guys are NFL talent.
They should wreck havoc in opposing teams backfields, and with a lot of depth they should still be fresh at the end of games.
Down Conference
The SEC is still a dominant conference no doubt, but they aren’t as dominant as in years past. Every week isn’t going to be a dog fight this year, and that should really help them stay fresh for the end of the season.
They also miss Georgia and Florida in the regular season and that should really help. When they get to the SEC Championship game they will probably be playing Florida and it doesn’t sound like they have their offense figured out yet.
They should be able to win that game easily, on the way to the SEC title and another berth in the College Football Playoff.
Distractions Gone
One of the other big advantage’s of this team is the distractions are gone that existed this year.
Last year the big drama was between Nick Saban and Lane Kiffin and how they couldn’t get along and how they didn’t see eye to eye on how the offense should be run.
Well he is gone now and they have brought in Brian Daboll who was the tight ends coach for the New England Patriots. He seem like an all business guys, and the focus is back on the players and away from the coach.
SEC 2017 Football Conference Betting Prediction: 12-0
Alabama has a pretty easy schedule compared to years past this year and the road to repeat as the SEC Champions is easy.

They will start out with a win over Florida State and never look back. They will run the table and get the number one seed in the College Football Playoff.
