2026 WM Phoenix Open Free Picks
The 2026 PGA Tour season continues this week with the WM Phoenix Open at TPC Scottsdale. Known for its raucous crowds and fan-first atmosphere, this event consistently draws elite fields thanks to the energy surrounding every hole on the Stadium Course.
This Week on the PGA Tour
The No. 1-ranked player in the world headlines the field this week. Scottie Scheffler is fresh off earning his 20th career victory at The American Express in La Quinta, and that momentum carries straight into Scottsdale.
As a result, that win marked Scheffler’s 14th victory over the past two seasons. He earned a lifetime PGA Tour exemption and became the third-fastest player to reach 20 wins.
On top of that, he’s just the third player in Tour history to surpass $100 million in career earnings, and he’s already won this event twice.
Other top-25 players in the field include Xander Schauffele, J.J. Spaun, Viktor Hovland, Collin Morikawa, and Matt Fitzpatrick.
Last Year
Thomas Detry captured his first PGA Tour victory here last year, becoming the first Belgian to win on Tour. He closed with four straight birdies to finish 24-under par, pulling away late to win by seven strokes over Michael Kim and Daniel Berger.
Detry entered the final round with a five-shot lead and steadily built on it early. Although Berger briefly trimmed the margin on the back nine, Detry’s closing stretch ensured there was no drama down the finish.
That said, the PGA Tour later named the tournament its 2025 Event of the Year, marking the sixth time the WM Phoenix Open has earned that distinction.
Detry won’t be back to defend his title this season after officially moving to LIV Golf ahead of the 2026 campaign. Because of that, his absence opens the door for a deep group of contenders at the top of the board.

At the same time, course history and current form continue to matter at TPC Scottsdale, especially when separating true win equity from name value.
2026 WM Phoenix Open Free Picks & Golf Betting Odds: Scottie Scheffler +210
Scheffler is a conservative pick, but he remains the clear standout at the top of the board. He won his last time out and has shown a consistent ability to stack wins when his game clicks.
2026 WM Phoenix Open Free Picks & Golf Betting Odds: Si Woo Kim +2700
Kim arrives in strong form after a runner-up finish at Torrey Pines. He also held a share of the 54-hole lead at The American Express before a tough Sunday dropped him to T6.
2026 WM Phoenix Open Free Picks & Golf Betting Odds: Sahith Theegala +4500
Theegala didn’t take the expected leap in 2025, but he’s healthy again and showing signs of value at this number.
2026 WM Phoenix Open Free Picks & Golf Betting Odds: Keith Mitchell +7000
Mitchell flashed upside early at Torrey Pines before back-nine bogeys cooled his run. Still, his recent starts show solid form entering Scottsdale.
