2026 Baycurrent Classic Odds & PGA Preview
2026 Baycurrent Classic Free Picks are here as the PGA Tour heads to Yokohama Country Club in Japan. CappersPicks.com has the PGA golf betting breakdown, tournament odds, and four outright picks for this week’s field.
Defending champion Xander Schauffele leads a strong group making the trip to Japan, with Hideki Matsuyama, Wyndham Clark, Collin Morikawa, Justin Thomas and Jordan Spieth also teeing it up. Schauffele is the +930 favorite. That’s a pretty healthy price to pay in a field with this many recognizable names.
I’m shopping a little farther down the board.

2026 Baycurrent Classic Free Picks
The PGA Tour returns to Yokohama Country Club for the second consecutive year, with FedExCup Fall points becoming increasingly important as the season winds down.
Schauffele comes in ranked No. 10 in the world after seven top-10 finishes this season, including a runner-up at the Rocket Classic. He’ll try to become the first golfer in tournament history to successfully defend his title. Wyndham Clark is actually the highest-ranked golfer in the field at No. 5 in the Official World Golf Ranking.
He already owns three victories this season, including his second career major at the U.S. Open.
That’s where my card starts.
This Week on the PGA Tour
Collin Morikawa and Jacob Bridgeman are both making their first starts since representing the United States at the Presidents Cup. Justin Thomas and Captain’s Assistant Keegan Bradley are also in the field.
The International side is well represented too. Min Woo Lee, Adam Scott, Sungjae Im, Nico Echavarria, Nick Taylor, Christiaan Bezuidenhout, Taylor Pendrith, Hideki Matsuyama and Ryo Hisatsune are all making the trip. There’s also some FedExCup pressure farther down the standings.
Bezuidenhout enters the week at No. 99, with Lee Hodges No. 103, Tony Finau No. 104 and Rasmus Neergaard-Petersen No. 106. Max Greyserman sits No. 98 and has another reason to like this trip. He’s finished runner-up here in each of the last two years.
Jordan Spieth returns to the tournament for the first time since 2019. He’s No. 55 in the FedExCup standings and looking to strengthen his position for the first two Signature Events of 2027.
There’s enough talent here that I’m not paying a premium just because somebody’s name looks good on the odds board. The number still has to make sense.
Baycurrent Classic History at Yokohama Country Club
2025 Baycurrent Classic Recap
Xander Schauffele held off Max Greyserman with a final-round 64 to win the 2025 Baycurrent Classic by one shot.
It was Schauffele’s 10th career PGA Tour victory and a special one for a golfer who grew up in Japan before moving to the United States. He closed it out in front of plenty of family and friends. Greyserman came up one shot short for the second straight year.
That’s painful if you backed him either time. If we’re getting +5600 for another shot at it, however, I’m willing to reopen the wound.
Past Baycurrent Classic Winners
- 2025 — Xander Schauffele
- 2024 — Nico Echavarria
- 2023 — Collin Morikawa
- 2022 — Keegan Bradley
- 2021 — Hideki Matsuyama
- 2020 — Patrick Cantlay
- 2019 — Tiger Woods
2026 Baycurrent Classic Best Bets
I’m leaving Schauffele +930 and Matsuyama +1450 alone. Both can absolutely win this tournament. Neither price has me sprinting toward the window.
My four outright PGA best bets are Wyndham Clark +1550, Max Greyserman +5600, Jackson Suber +5900 and Nico Echavarria +9200. We’ve got one golfer near the top of the board, two in the 50-to-1 range and a former champion sitting at 92-to-1.
That’s plenty. Nobody pays extra because we managed to bet nine golfers before Thursday morning.
Wyndham Clark +1550 PGA Pick
Wyndham Clark is third on the odds board despite being the highest-ranked golfer in this field.
He was available at a similar price for the Tour Championship, where the competition included world No. 1 Scottie Scheffler and No. 2 Rory McIlroy. Now we’re being asked to lay roughly the same number against a considerably different field. Clark also isn’t living on reputation.
He’s already won three times this season, including the U.S. Open.
At +1550, we’re obviously not uncovering some secret buried halfway down the board. I don’t need a secret. I need the price to make sense.
Wyndham Clark +1550 is my first outright.
Max Greyserman +5600 PGA Pick
Max Greyserman hasn’t won this tournament, which is probably why his course history won’t get the same attention as Schauffele, Morikawa or Echavarria. He’s finished second here two years in a row.
Eventually that stops looking like a cute little course-history note.
Greyserman also arrives off a top-10 finish at the Biltmore Championship, so we’re not relying entirely on what happened in Japan the last two seasons. He’s already shown us twice that this tournament fits his game. At +5600, I’ll pay to find out whether the third trip finally ends with him holding the trophy instead of watching somebody else do it.
Give me Max Greyserman +5600.
Jackson Suber +5900 PGA Pick
Jackson Suber is still looking for his first PGA Tour victory, but he’s spent enough time around the leaderboard lately to get my attention. Suber has six top-25 finishes over his last 12 starts, including two fourth-place finishes and a T6.
That’s not the résumé of somebody I’m interested in betting at +1800. At +5900, it’s a different conversation.
We’re getting nearly 60-to-1 on a golfer who keeps putting himself into useful positions. Eventually one of those weekends can turn into four rounds where everything sticks. If it doesn’t happen here, fine.
At this number I don’t need to pretend Suber has already become Scottie Scheffler.
Jackson Suber +5900 makes the card.
Nico Echavarria +9200 Longshot Pick
Nico Echavarria gives us the biggest number on the card and the easiest course-history argument.
He won this tournament in 2024 and followed that with another top-10 finish last year. He’s already proven twice that whatever this event asks from him works. Echavarria also won the Cognizant Classic earlier this season, and two of his last four starts have ended inside the top 12.
Now we’re getting +9200.
Ninety-two-to-one golfers come with warts. If they didn’t, the sportsbook wouldn’t be offering us ninety-two damn dollars for every one we put down.
But a former champion with another top-10 here, a victory this season and some recent form? That’s enough meat on the bone for me.
Give me a small Nico Echavarria +9200 outright.

Baycurrent Classic Betting Strategy
Four outrights are enough for me before the tournament starts.
Clark gives us the strongest résumé on the card. Greyserman has finished runner-up here twice. Suber brings recent consistency at nearly 60-to-1, and Echavarria has already won this event and comes back at +9200.
That gives us four very different reasons to bet four different golfers. That’s handicapping. Throwing darts at another six names because they’re 100-to-1 isn’t.
There’s also no reason to force every wager before the opening tee shot. Head-to-head matchups, placement props and live betting give us plenty of chances to come back once we’ve actually seen how these guys are playing Yokohama Country Club.
I’m happy to miss a price if the alternative is betting first and figuring out why the hell I did it afterward.
Best Sportsbook for PGA Golf Betting
The Baycurrent Classic gives bettors more than outright winners. Head-to-head matchups, placement props and live betting can all become useful once the tournament gets underway.
MyBookie remains one of my preferred sportsbooks for PGA golf betting, especially when I’m coming back to the board after the opening round.

2026 Baycurrent Classic: Final Thoughts & Best Bets
My 2026 Baycurrent Classic Free Picks card has Wyndham Clark +1550, Max Greyserman +5600, Jackson Suber +5900 and Nico Echavarria +9200.
Clark gives us the class near the top of the board. Greyserman has come within one spot of winning this tournament two years running, Suber keeps hanging around leaderboards, and Echavarria gives us a former champion at 92-to-1.
Four golfers. Four different arguments. That’s enough.
