2026 Farmers Insurance Open Free Picks
The PGA Tour’s West Coast Swing continues this weekend with the Farmers Insurance Open at legendary Torrey Pines Golf Course in San Diego, California.
Along with a strong field and demanding layout, this week is headlined by the return of Brooks Koepka, who officially made his way back to the PGA Tour after parting with LIV Golf late last year under the PGA’s Returning Member Program.
This Week on the PGA Tour
Koepka isn’t the only marquee name teeing it up. In fact, the five-time major champion will be joined by Ludvig Åberg, Keegan Bradley, Patrick Cantlay, and Xander Schauffele, making this the deepest field we’ve seen so far in the Tour’s third event of the season.
Last Year
Harris English snapped a four-year winless drought with his first victory since the 2021 Travelers Championship.
On paper, Torrey Pines hardly looked like the spot for a breakthrough, especially considering English hadn’t finished inside the top 60 at this event since 2018 and entered the week off missed cuts at both the Sony Open in Hawaii and The American Express.
That context made his performance even more impressive. Despite high winds in the final round, English maintained the 54-hole lead he hadn’t held in four years, grinding out a 1-over 73 when low scores simply weren’t available.
Paring the final 12 holes proved enough, securing his long-awaited fifth PGA Tour win.
Prior to that rough stretch, English had quietly built a strong history at Torrey Pines. He finished runner-up to Jason Day in 2015 after a playoff loss and followed that with a third-place finish behind Jon Rahm at the 2021 U.S. Open.
Altogether, English now owns five career top-15 finishes at Torrey Pines.
His final round didn’t start smoothly, opening with bogeys on holes 1 and 5. However, a timely birdie on the par-5 sixth got him back to 8-under, and from there, steady golf did the rest.
Twelve straight pars kept him one shot clear of Sam Stevens down the stretch.

2026 Farmers Insurance Open Free Picks – PGA Golf
With that in mind, here are a few golfers offering real betting value this week:
2026 Farmers Insurance Open Free Picks & Golf Betting Odds: Jason Day +2500
Day is once again putting himself in position to contend on a weekly basis. He’s coming off a T2 earlier in this West Coast swing, giving him five top-10 finishes in his last 10 starts at PGA West.
Just as important, his history at Torrey Pines is elite, with seven career top-10s that include two wins, a T2, and a T3.
2026 Farmers Insurance Open Free Picks & Golf Betting Odds: Ryan Gerard +3500
Gerard continues to fly under the radar, yet his recent form says otherwise. He’s finished runner-up in each of his last three starts and even earned a Masters exemption thanks to his second-place showing at the Mauritius Open.
On top of that, he posted a solid T15 at Torrey Pines last year.
2026 Farmers Insurance Open Free Picks & Golf Betting Odds: Taylor Pendrith +4000
Pendrith has been consistently reliable at Torrey Pines, making the cut in all four appearances. Even better, he’s logged top-10 finishes in each of his last two starts here.
After opening his season with a T6 at the Sony Open, this shapes up as a potential breakout year for the Canadian.
2026 Farmers Insurance Open Free Picks & Golf Betting Odds: Sam Stevens +4500
Stevens keeps knocking on the door at this event. He’s made the weekend in all three Farmers starts, including a T13 in 2023 and a solo second-place finish last year.
He also arrives in form, coming off top-10 finishes in two of his last three starts.
