The PGA Tour season continues this week with the fifth tournament of the 2026 schedule — the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am — the first Signature Event of the season. As a Signature Event, a $20,000,000 purse will be up for grabs.
Rory McIlroy will be in attendance to defend his title as he’s slated to make his season debut on Tour. Also making his season debut is world No. 4 and reigning FedEx Cup champion Tommy Fleetwood.
This Week on the PGA Tour
As a Signature Event, this tournament will feature a star-studded field. The field this week includes 41 of the top 50 players in the Official World Golf Ranking. Among the top-21 players in the field, only world No. 10 Justin Thomas will be absent from competition.
Thomas hasn’t played competitive golf since the Ryder Cup in September as he recovers from back surgery. He is targeting the Tour’s Florida swing for his return.
Moving day for this event will be played on Valentine’s Day, and notably, there is no cut for the 80 players in contention.
Justin Rose has been on a heater to start the year, climbing to world No. 3, and is coming off setting the scoring record at Torrey Pines in his last start.
With the Pro-Am format, professional players will be paired with amateurs across Pebble Beach and Spyglass Hill. This tournament begins the week after Super Bowl LX in Santa Clara.
Last Year
Rory McIlroy emerged victorious by two strokes over Shane Lowry, with Justin Rose and Lucas Glover tied for third, and Cam Davis and Russell Henley rounding out the top five. Scottie Scheffler finished T9.
Rory shot 70 in the second round before playing his best when the winter weather rolled in. He fired a 65 in wind and rain on Saturday, tying Lowry for low round of the day.
He was even with Sepp Straka and Tom Kim at the turn on Sunday before birdies on Nos. 10 and 12, followed by an eagle on the par-five 14th that created separation from a crowded leaderboard.
McIlroy finished at 21-under par for his 27th PGA Tour victory.
