Carson Wentz will never cease to amaze me. I would never want him under center for my own team but he is without question one of the more entertaining quarterbacks to watch in football.
The highs and lows of his game are more of a roller coaster than anyone I have ever watched. He throws left handed pick sizes one drive and then looks like the MVP on the very next one.
I do not like betting the Commies in this one strictly for that reason but despite that, let’s dig into this one and see what side we need to lay.
Washington Commanders
The Commanders just barely came away with a win against the Jaguars last week, one I was wrong about which I do apologize for. This team is just so flawed in so many ways I have a difficult time betting on them and if I had to do it again I would still take the Jags.
With that being said, they do have some pretty nice weapons on offence in Dotson, Scary Terry McLaurin and Gibson coming out of the backfield. I think they can be one of those teams who cover spreads this year but I do not see them winning games consistently this season.
Detroit Lions
The Detroit Lions are 5-0 in their last 5 at home ATS. This team was the best team ATS last season and they improved over the off-season.
I love this squad’s future, they’re still unlikely to be a playoff team this year but it is not out of the question for me this season in what is a rather weak conference.
In this game, I love them even more. This is one of those matchups that I think is improperly handicapped by the books and I want to capitalize on that.
