The Tennessee Titans will be in Indianapolis to take on the Colts for Week 8 of the NFL Season. The Kickoff is set for 1:00 PM ET.
For this matchup, the Colts opened as the -2.5 point favorites. However, the line quickly moved in favor of the Titans who currently sit at -1.5. The over-under line has remained relatively the same going from 49.5 down to 49.
Tennessee Titans
The Tennessee Titans enter this week’s matchup with an overall record of 5-2. So far, the Titans have played the 11th toughest schedule in the NFL, with an average scoring margin of 4.1.
Last week the Tennesee Titans came up with an impressive 27-3 victory over the Kansas City Chiefs. Surprisingly, the Titans only needed 103 yards on the ground to defeat last year’s AFC Champs.
Quarterback Ryan Tannehill was efficient through the air, finishing with 270 yards on 27 passing attempts. Tennessee also owned the game’s time of possession (36:31-23:29).
The Titans offense is 6th in the NFL, averaging 27.5 points per game. Their offense is driven by the league’s top rushing attack (155.4 yards per game).
Defensively, Tennesee is an average unit, ranking 16th in opponent points per game. Opposing offenses have been able to pick up big plays as they are the 24th rated defense in yards allowed per play.
Indianapolis Colts
The Indianapolis Colts come into this home contest with an overall record of 3-4. So far Indianapolis has played the 17th toughest schedule in the NFL, with an average scoring margin of 2.9.
In week seven, the Colts played in a rain-soaked game in San Francisco. Against the 49ers, Indianapolis easily covered their +3.5 point spread, winning 30-18.
Due to the weather, throwing the ball was extremely difficult. Even so, Carson Wentz managed to throw for 150 yards and two touchdowns.
Running back Jonathan Taylor continued his big season finishing with 107 yards on 18 carries. Michael Pittman was the Colts’ leading receiver, racking up 105 yards and a touchdown.
Indianapolis has the 15th ranked scoring offense, at 24.1 points per game. So far, the team has thrown the ball on 55% of their plays, 23rd in the league. Carson Wentz has not been efficient with his opportunities as he is the 24th ranked quarterback in completion percentage.
The Colts defense is 14th rated rush defense, giving up 111 yards per game.
NFL Betting Trends:

4* Free Week 8 NFL Betting Prediction: Tennessee -1.5
In the matchup between the Titans and the Colts, even though both teams are coming off big wins, I will be taking Tennessee to cover on the road.
I expect the Titans to continue to pound the rock with Derrick Henry, thus controlling the time of possession. Having just limited Patrick Mahomes to one of his worst games, the Tennessee defense should have plenty of confidence heading into this week’s game.
Colts quarterback Carson Wentz is the second-ranked quarterback in limiting interceptions. However, throughout his career, Wentz has a tendency to turn the ball over.
If Indianapolis goes down early, there should be a few opportunities for the Titans to generate some big plays.
I feel comfortable taking Tennessee all the way to -2.5. If this gets above a field goal, I recommend switching over to the Colts.
