Matthew Stafford powered the passing attack with an NFL-high 4,707 yards and 46 touchdowns.
Puka Nacua gave Stafford a massive target, finishing with 129 receptions for 1,715 yards and 10 touchdowns. Kyren Williams supplied the balance on the ground with 1,252 rushing yards and 10 scores. The Rams also got 789 receiving yards and 14 touchdowns from Davante Adams.
LA backed up that offensive production by recording 47 sacks on defense. Byron Young led the Rams with 12 sacks, while the defense intercepted 16 passes during the regular season. That unit helped Los Angeles turn a 12-5 regular season into a run to the NFC Championship Game.
The Rams made another major move this offseason by adding Myles Garrett to an already dangerous defense. Garrett dealt with some knee swelling during training camp, while Nacua worked through psoas soreness.

Brock Purdy played only nine games, leaving Mac Jones to handle a substantial portion of the quarterback work. San Francisco still reached the Divisional Round before its postseason run ended.

Matthew Stafford enters 2026 after putting together one of the best statistical seasons of his career. The Los Angeles veteran completed 388-of-597 passes for 4,707 yards and 46 touchdowns against only eight interceptions. Stafford led the NFL in both passing yards and passing touchdowns.
Stafford has plenty around him with Nacua coming off a 1,715-yard receiving season and Williams providing a proven running threat. Los Angeles scored 518 points behind that group last year.
Brock Purdy returns as San Francisco’s starting quarterback after injuries limited him to nine games last season. Purdy completed 197-of-284 passes for 2,167 yards with 20 touchdowns and 10 interceptions, producing a 100.5 passer rating.
He also rushed for 147 yards and three touchdowns.
Purdy now gets a new target in Evans, while McCaffrey remains one of the league’s most versatile offensive weapons. Stafford owns the stronger 2025 numbers, but Purdy has plenty of experience in high-pressure divisional games.

The Rams finished 12-5 last season while leading the NFL in scoring at 30.5 points per game and total offense at 394.6 yards per game. Matthew Stafford also led the league with 46 touchdown passes.
San Francisco was no pushover, also going 12-5 and finishing 7-2 on the road. The 49ers even won 26-23 at Los Angeles last October. Respect that.
The rematch looked much different, with the Rams beating San Francisco 42-26 in November.
More importantly, Los Angeles produced 518 points and 6,709 yards last season. Puka Nacua remains a major problem, and this offense has enough firepower to create the margin we need.
At the end of the day, I won’t use the Rams’ five-game home winning streak as support because neither team has home field in Australia.
Los Angeles was 6-2 ATS at home last season, while San Francisco was a strong road team, so I’m not expecting an easy cover.
Still, the Rams have the stronger offensive ceiling and only need to clear a field goal. My NFL numbers lean toward LA.
I’ll lay it with the Los Angeles Rams -3.5.
