Here’s the thing about the goddamn Jets. I love this squad because for years it was an easy two wins for my Patriots and I always liked their players.
And I still love them and it seems like their young core they have recently drafted could be what they have been waiting for all along and the coaching staff is solid for once.
But they legit might be cursed.
They lost their promising young quarterback to injury and have brought in Joe Friggen Flacco to back him up. Colin Kaepernick is still a free agent…
They take on the Browns who have been in the same boat as them for two decades now except they have a recent playoff win. They are without their troubled quarterback however and have Jacoby Brissett at the helm for now until the morally compromised Deshaun Watson returns in week 11 just in time to face his old squadron.
So, this game screams under to me except I do not like taking them on such low totals. Let’s dig in.
New York Jets
One thing about the Jets that is very promising is their secondary led by first year cornerback Sauce Gardener whom they drafted in the first round this year. In three seasons at Cincinnati he did not allow a touchdown in the box score.
On the other hand, Flacco and the offence attempted nearly 60 passes against Baltimore last week and came away with 9 points. They will not be any better against a much more formidable Browns pass rush.
Cleveland Browns
The Browns should be able to pound the rock against this terrible run stopping defence the Jets are trotting out this season and keep the ball most of the game.
I anticipate the time of possession numbers being heavily in the favor of Cleveland all game long.
