In their last loss at home against the Saints, the Giants played terrible. Eli Manning was bad, and could find himself sitting on the bench or retired by seasons end. He was 31 of 41 for 255 yards and one touchdown.
If Manning is unable to find his old self, the Giants are going to be a dumpster fire all season offensively. The Giants are talented enough on offense to be one of the best in the league.
Defensively, the Giants have allowed 20 plus points in all four of their games this season. Look for the Giants to struggle on the road against the talented Panthers offense.
Carolina Panthers
The Carolina Panthers are well rested. The team is refreshed and should have a good game plan for the Giants this week. The Panthers last beat a solid Bengals team, 31-21. Christian McCaffrey went off, and it wasn’t just catching the ball.
Based on the eye test, McCaffrey looked like he can be a problem at running back. If he is given 20 to 30 carries per game, he can average 100 or more yards per game.
Cam Newton has also been good this year. He has not been running the ball nearly as much since McCaffrey has been playing well to start the year. He has 649 yards and five touchdowns this season.
The Panthers defense though has been suspect. They are allowing 374 yards per game this season. The secondary has been especially bad allowing 264 passing yards per game.
