The Bucs could very well be absolutely dead. After winning two straight this squad dropped one to the Browns who have the worst run defence in the NFL.
Their struggles seemingly come off the back of how riddled their offensive line has been to injury. They were dealt yet another blow this weekend when Tristan Wirfs left the field which at the time looked like a gruesome injury, but was good to hear it was relatively minor and he will only miss 3-4 weeks.
The Saints are just a disaster this season and it’s gotten worse as time has worn on. They do not look good doing much of anything in any area of the game. Kamara is having a so-so year for his standards and they rush the ball pretty often.
And the defence which was billed as being a tough and stingy unit has been everything but.
What the Saints do have going for them is their historic record against Tom Brady since he joined the Bucs as he has only bested them once in 4 meetings.
So, we take a closer look at these two abysmal NFC South rivals.
New Orleans Saints
When you look at this team’s metrics on both sides of the ball, underwhelming is the word that encompasses their performance. Winston says he’s ready to play and is dressing for these games right now but they keep throwing Dalton out there.
I would never say that holding Winston out is holding this team back from Super Bowl contention or anything of the sort but it’s certainly holding this team back. If the Saints game plan is to mail it in this year though and save Winston’s health to guru a kid next year, well, not sure that’s a great plan either lol.
Dalton’s throwing picks on 3% of this team’s offensive snaps. It may not seem like a lot but it is and it’s 29th in the league.
Their rushing attack isn’t faring much better either, averaging a mere 4.5 yards per attempt. They’re also averaging 0.8 rushing touchdowns per game this season which is just not good enough especially if you’re thinking of taking them to cover.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Despite the results the Bucs defence is actually quite good still and rank pretty nicely in the metrics. They just aren’t getting the run support from the GOAT and his loaded receiving core.
As I mentioned earlier the big story surrounding them is how poor their run game is which seems to be more a result of the offensive line devastated by injury.
A side note; I am starting to think this is probably not Brady’s last season. I highly doubt he’ll want to go out on this note.

4* Free Week 12 NFL Betting Prediction: Buccaneers -3.5
I don’t love taking this game for a number of reasons. The trend for both these squads or at the very least inconsistent, not that I’m a big trends guy anyway but inconsistency is a killer in this industry as you all know.
My reason for deciding on this side however is based purely on what the Saints are showing us on offence and what the Bucs are capable of on defence. It’s really as simple as that.
Gimme the Bucs.
