Saints vs. Giants Gameday
The New Orleans Saints visit the New York Giants on Sunday, October 18, 2026, at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey. Kickoff is scheduled for 1:00 PM ET on FOX. This Week 6 matchup features New Orleans at 1-4 and New York at 3-1-1.
The Saints are 1-1 on the road under Kellen Moore. Their lone victory came away from home, while all three games in their current losing streak were played in New Orleans.
New York has opened 3-0 at MetLife Stadium under John Harbaugh.
The Giants have protected their home field, while the Saints need a cleaner performance to stop their slide.
Harbaugh’s team returns home after an unusual overtime tie in Washington. New York has remained competitive despite losing its original starting QB.
Moore is looking for answers after a difficult stretch. New Orleans has struggled to establish consistent offensive rhythm. Its defense has also spent too much time trying to recover from breakdowns.
The Giants have an opportunity to strengthen their position in the NFC East.
Week 6, New Orleans Saints vs. New York Giants, we’re all hoping a great game is in store.

The Saints lost 23-13 to Minnesota after falling 45-24 against Atlanta. They previously lost 35-27 to Las Vegas, defeated Baltimore 24-17 and opened with a 31-30 overtime loss to Detroit. New Orleans has dropped three straight.

New Orleans has won three consecutive meetings with New York. The Saints won 26-14 in October 2025 and 14-11 at MetLife Stadium in December 2024.
The all-time regular-season series is tied 17-17.

Giants Stats From Last Week
New York has generated 1,541 offensive yards through five games, averaging 21.8 points per contest. The Giants have accumulated 1,055 net passing yards and 545 rushing yards. Their offense has converted 31 of 70 third-down attempts.
The Giants generated 305 net passing yards against Washington. Their fourth-quarter comeback erased a 14-point deficit before the game ended in a tie.
New York has scored 11 TD’s this season.
The Giants have found ways to compete, but their ground game still needs greater efficiency.
Defensively, New York has allowed 1,635 total yards and 106 points. Opponents have rushed for 638 yards, averaging 5.2 yards per carry.
The Giants have recorded 13 sacks and three interceptions. Their defense has been more effective limiting points than stopping opponents from moving the football.
Offensive tackles Andrew Thomas and Jermaine Eluemunor missed Wednesday and Thursday practices. Abdul Carter, Colton Hood and Tyler Nubin also missed both sessions. Their availability remains unresolved ahead of Sunday’s game.
Saints Stats From Last Week
New Orleans averages 23.6 points per game and has generated 1,610 offensive yards. The Saints have produced 1,299 net passing yards and 409 rushing yards. Their offense has struggled to establish a dependable ground attack.
Chris Olave leads the receiving group with 537 yards. His production has been a bright spot in an otherwise inconsistent start.
The Saints managed only 142 total yards against Minnesota.
Defensively, New Orleans has surrendered 1,805 yards and 151 points. Opponents have rushed for 744 yards at 4.9 yards per attempt.
The Saints have recorded 10 sacks and forced turnovers, but their overall turnover differential is minus-six. That has repeatedly left the defense facing difficult situations.
Olave missed Wednesday and Thursday practices because of illness. Alvin Kamara was limited with a back injury, while Kaden Elliss and Anfernee Jennings did not practice. Their final game designations remain pending.
Saints vs. Giants QB Matchup
Jameis Winston leads New York with Jaxson Dart sidelined for the season. Winston has thrown for 805 yards, six TD’s and three interceptions in four appearances. His willingness to challenge coverage has changed the Giants’ passing attack.
Winston completed 33 of 54 passes for 326 yards and three TD’s against Washington. He also contributed 27 rushing yards.
His aggressive style can produce explosive gains and costly mistakes.
Tyler Shough starts for New Orleans after throwing for 1,299 yards and nine TD’s through five games. He has also been intercepted five times.
Shough has been sacked 13 times and hit 39 times. Protection has been a persistent problem for the Saints.
He practiced fully Thursday despite a left-hand injury listing.

Winston faces a Saints defense that has struggled against the run. Establishing that threat could open opportunities for New York’s play-action passing game.
Shough faces a Giants defense dealing with injuries at several positions. He needs to identify pressure quickly and avoid holding the football.
Both quarterbacks have the arm strength to challenge coverage downfield.
Winston must balance aggression with better decisions when New Orleans disguises coverage. Shough needs to establish a quicker passing rhythm. Neither offense can afford repeated negative plays on early downs.
New Orleans Saints vs. New York Giants bottom line: New York has the home-field advantage and a more aggressive passing approach, while New Orleans needs better protection and defensive execution to end its losing streak.

Saints Giants Free Pick: Over 45.5
Here is my Saints Giants free pick: I’m betting Over 45.5. New Orleans is allowing more than 30 points per game, and the Giants have been aggressive enough offensively to take advantage. I’m not expecting either coaching staff to suddenly discover a shutdown defense.
The Saints have gone Over in three of their five games, while New York has also cleared the total three times. The Giants have won four straight at home, and their last two home victories featured enough offensive production to put pressure on this number.
New Orleans has covered seven consecutive road games, but I’m more interested in its ability to contribute points than cover a spread.
Two defenses giving up scoring opportunities and quarterbacks willing to attack are enough for me at 45.5.
New York’s offensive line injuries are a legitimate concern. Still, Winston doesn’t need perfect protection to produce chunk plays, and the Saints have been vulnerable when opponents attack their secondary.
The Giants can control stretches of this game without shutting down New Orleans.
My concern is the Saints settling for FG’s or failing to capitalize on favorable field position. But New York’s defensive injuries create opportunities, and Shough has enough receiving talent to answer if the Giants build a lead. This isn’t a game where I need both offenses operating flawlessly.
Give me Saints Giants Over 45.5. I’ll take the aggressive passing, the defensive mistakes and a game that has a better chance of reaching the high 40s than the bookmakers are giving it credit for.
