The Minnesota Vikings travel to Jacksonville to take on the Jaguars in a game that they must win for any chance to make the playoffs.
The Jaguars also had playoff hopes, but those were quickly dashed early in the season.
Blake Bortles hasn’t seemed to take the next step in his development and that has really hurt the Jaguars.
The Vikings have won the last three head to head match ups between the two teams.
The story of this years Minnesota Vikings is injuries. The Vikings have 8 players on IR. The fact that Vikings have lost a starting Running back, Quarterback, and three tackles to season ending injuries, and the team is still 6-6 is actually quite incredible.
The Vikings started the season 5-0 and have gone 1-6 since. A lot of the problems can be contributed to injuries but also the offense of line has not been able to block anyone.
The Vikings defense is elite. They only give up 17.4 points per game. But when the offense only averages 296 yards a game its going to be hard to win games. The defense can’t take any drives off because if they do the Vikings will lose.
Sam Bradford has played well for the Vikings most of the year. He is making the quick passes that need to be made to be successful. The Vikings have had a hard time moving the ball on the ground so the quick passing has kind of taken the place of that.
For the Vikings to win this game they need the offense to come out fast and get points on the board early. If the Vikings defense can play with a lead, that is when they are at their best.
No coach is on the hot more then Gus Bradley. He will probably be the first coach gone after the season ends.
This was supposed to be the year Gus Bradley finally led this team to the playoffs. Although this team is filled with a lot of young stars, Bradley has not been able to get his team to preform on the field and this has led to a 2-10 record.
Blake Bortles has not become the quarterback the Jaguars expected he would be when they took him the first round.
He has a lot of mechanical issues with his release point and has led to poor results on the field. He has thrown for 2930 yards on the season and although he has thrown for 20 touchdowns, he has also thrown 15 interceptions.
Blake Bortles is going to have to be very smart with the ball on Sunday. Mike Zimmer likes to dial up a lot of pressure and if Bortles is not playing his best, he will throw a few interceptions.
On the defensive end of the ball the Jaguars have not been playing terrible. They are giving up 26.1 points per game but are playing well enough to keep the team in it.

4* Free NFL Betting Prediction: Minnesota -3.5
This game is going to be a defensive battle but I expect the Vikings to be able to move the ball on the Jaguars. Bortles will have trouble figuring out Minnesota’s defense and will cost his team points.
NFL Free Score Prediction: Minnesota 20 – Jacksonville 10
The Vikings defense will score a touchdown and the offense will score a couple. They will have an impressive win over the Jaguars.
