These teams must be thrilled to be matched up with one another in week 3 as they both sit at 0-2 in the loaded AFC so something’s gotta give.
Ryan Tannehill and his offence got embarrassed in primetime on Monday Night Football yesterday evening against the juggernaut Buffalo Bills. Tannehill was yanked late in the third quarter after throwing his second interception of the evening and we saw Malik Willis get his first regular season action.
The Raiders suffered a different but just as nauseating defeat Sunday against the Cardinals where they blew a 20 point lead in the second half to lose in OT off the back of two stunning 2-pt conversions by Kyler Murray.
I can’t stand either of these teams, especially Ryan Tannehill though and we will get into why. But beyond any personal disdain I feel towards them they are also both 0-2 ATS so as a handicapper I hate them as well.

Because I am a degenerate, and so are you so let’s dive in shall we!
Las Vegas Raiders
I have to admit that I kind of bought into the off-season hype surrounding the Raiders. I liked the Adams pickup, loved the Chandler Jones signing and all in all I thought they obviously improved on paper.
I still had them power ranked as the 4th best team in the AFC West but nevertheless, considered them much improved which is hard to argue they aren’t.
However, that obviously has not transpired on the field in terms of wins as of yet and I think we are all disappointed in what we have seen. Carr and Adams have certainly done well but they cannot seem to close a drive or a game and Carr is still prone to some terrible decision making.
And on the other side of the ball outside of Jones and Crosby they don’t have much of an identity and cannot come up with the crucial stops when they need them.
Tennessee Titans
The Titans are much, much worse than the Raiders. Without AJ Brown this offence looks incredibly stale.
If you can find a way to stop Derrick Henry and force Tannehill to beat you in the air, you are certain to beat them. Clearly a lot of credit has to go to the Bills and their gameplan, they’re the best but this Titans squad is in serious trouble.

I am seriously tempted to just bet the Titans as a home dog straight up in this one because of what both teams have shown us thus far, but I am sticking to the Raiders because I think their skilled positions are head and shoulders better than the Titans in this game and will ultimately outdo their foes on the other end of the gridiron.
The Titans should be able to run the ball better this time around against a much less adept run-stopping defence which should chew some clock, potentially an under?
I don’t know. These teams are a mess.
