4* Free Week 8 NFL Betting Prediction: Tennessee +2.5
I’m going with Tennessee to cover as 2.5-point underdogs in this matchup. Atlanta are 1-5 ATS in their last 6 games, and Tennessee are 4-1 SU in their last 5 games when playing at home against the Dirty Birds.
Tennessee had an impressive performance in their last game, particularly in the ground game against Baltimore.
I’m not sure we’ll see a pass thrown in this game. It’s going to be Derrick Henry vs. the Falcons RB’s. (Not sure if Bijan Robinson suits up at this point of the week)
Henry at this point of the season has 425 yds. rushing, 3 TD’s, 11 REC for 117 yds, and he’s averaging 4.34 YPR. (Down from his 4.41 of last year) This is the week he blows all his stats out the window. The Titans know they need their main man to get going, and this is the week they’ll feed him the rock more than you might think.
Henry has now topped 100 yds or scored a TD in 4/6 this season, and I expect more of the same on Sunday. Slow start no more!
I anticipate the Titans to come out flying, which is why I’m backing Tennessee before kickoff.
My choice for this game is the UNDER. This week’s line of 36.5 is lower than all of Atlanta’s previous games this season. We expect this matchup to finish with 31 points.
The total has gone UNDER in 9 of Tennessee’s last 10 games, plus the total has gone UNDER in ALL of Atlanta’s last 5.
