Believe it or not the Bulls, who are 5-21 at home on the season, have a great chance of getting a win Saturday night vs. the Wizards. Washington is playing in a back-to-back Ias is Chicago though) after a home game with Cleveland on Friday night. While the Cavs may not pose much of a threat, they’re still an NBA team and travel is travel.
Saturday’s game will be interesting as it’s the debut of Otto Porter for Chicago against the team that traded him this week. Bobby Portis and Jabari Parker came over to Washington from Chicago so they’ll also be appearing in their old stomping grounds. With the B2B and all the storylines, it could be anybody’s game from the United Center.
Washington Wizards
Washington is a hard team to wager on lately, mostly because their defense has been one of the worst in the league for the better part of the season. Any competent offense can exploit the Wizards defense, especially on a B2B. That being said, Chicago isn’t a competent team and they are in the same 0 days rest situation.

Need more numbers to put Washington’s atrocious defense in perspective? The Wizards rank 29th in points/game, 28th in opponents fg% and 30th in 3-point %. They are also 28th in the league in both offense and defensive rebounds/game. Their could be a lot of loose balls though as Chicago is 27th in both rebounding categories.
The Wizards defense has been bad even by their standards lately. Over the last 6 games opponents have scored 148, 137, 131, 89, 116, and 132 points. Chicago has gone for 117+ in 3 of 4 games prior to Friday night vs. the Nets so is this game heading towards an ‘over’ play?
[dfads params=’groups=20599&limit=1&return_javascript=1′]
Of course the Bulls defense isn’t exactly Fort Knox either. Chicago has allowed 120+ in 3 of 4 prior to the Brooklyn game. There’s nobody on Chicago that can stop Bradley Beal (24.9 ppg) but then again he’s got to watch his minutes Friday vs. Milwaukee. Thomas Bryant and Tomas Satoransky are nice secondary scoring options for Washington but once again, how does the B2B play into their performance?
Chicago Bulls
Chicago has done a lot of bee-bopping over the last 4 games. From a home game vs. New Orleans on Wednesday to a game in Brooklyn on Friday to returning home on Saturday, Chicago’s performance is unpredictable Friday. Over that same span however Washington has been at Milwaukee, then back home, then off to Chicago so both teams could be a bit groggy.
Washington acquired two role players in the teams’ trades this past week in Portis and Parker. Chicago is expecting a major contribution from Otto Porter, Jr. however. How will the newest Bull mesh in with the lineup? How much load can Lauri Markkanen and Zach Lavine carry after playing in Brooklyn on Friday? Question marks abound in this one.

Talk about an equal matchup. That doesn’t always equate to a ‘good’ matchup but the Bulls and Wizards are basically in the same position in every aspect from breaking in new players to giving up a ton of points on defense to playing in a back to back. Washington has 6 wins on the road, Chicago has 5 wins at home so there you go.
NBA Betting Trends:
- Wizards are 18-39 their last 57 road games
- Wizards are 1-5 ATS their last 6 overall
- Bulls are 4-10-1 ATS their last 15 overall
- Wizards are 1-5 ATS the last 6 H2H meetings
Free Washington Wizards vs. Chicago Bulls NBA Prediction:
This is a matchup between two teams that have combined to go 2-13 over their last 15 games and have the added benefit of playing on 0 days rest. It’s a coin toss game if there ever was one. Ultimately Washington has the best player in this game in Beal and Bryant could really be a factor down low.
