Raptors vs. Kings Gameday
With seven games on the NBA slate for Wednesday, the Toronto Raptors remain in California to face the Sacramento Kings
Toronto is completing a back-to-back set, having beaten the Golden State Warriors 145-127. The Raptors were uncharacteristically (they rank 30th on the perimeter) hot from deep.
Six Raptors scored in double-figures with Immanuel Quickley matching his career-high of 40 points along with 10 assists. Scottie Barnes also collected a double-double of 26 points and 11 assists.
Sacramento is also playing a back-to-back, having lost 117-130 to the Miami Heat. Four Kings scored in double figures, with DeMar DeRozan (23 points) leading the way.

Toronto Raptors vs. Sacramento Kings Odds & Last 5
Head-to-head last season, the teams split their two-game set. This is the first of two meetings this season between the clubs.
The Raptors technically sit in fourth in the East but trail the Pistons by the same number of games as the Knicks. They have an extra win and loss over the Knicks, who are reeling. Toronto’s record is 26-19. They are a strong road team that has already surpassed their win total from last season away from home (13-9).
Meanwhile, the Kings have played better lately, winning four of their last five matches, including some strong showings against the Rockets, Lakers, and Knicks. Still, they reside in the 14th seed with a record of 12-32.
The Raptors are favored to win by 4.5 points with an over/under of 223.5 points.
Raptors Stats
Toronto ranks 19th offensively (114.1) and sixth defensively (112.5) while they are 12th in net rating (+1.6) and rank 22nd in pace (99.17).
The East’s fourth seed averages 114.2 points per game while its opponents average 112.6 points. In terms of dimes and boards, Toronto averages 29.7 (4th) and 42.9 (22nd), respectively.
Toronto’s team leaders are Brandon Ingram for scoring (21.7 points), Immanuel Quickley for assists (6.1), and Scottie Barnes for rebounds (8.3), steals (1.3), and blocks (1.4).
As a team, the Raptors shoot an abysmal 33.6% from the perimeter with only two players* shooting above the league average.

Kings Stats
Sacramento ranks 29th offensively (109.5) and 27th defensively (119.1) while holding the 29th net rating (-9.6) and ranks 17th in pace (100.55).
The West’s 14th seed averages 110.8 points per game while their opponents average 120.7 points. In terms of dimes and boards, Sacramento averages 25.3 (21st) and 40.8 (tied for 27th), respectively.
Sacramento’s team leaders* are Zach LaVine for scoring (19.8), Domantas Sabonis for rebounds (11.5), Russell Westbrook for assists (7.0) and steals (1.4), and Keegan Murray for blocks (1.6).
Perimeter shooting is a weakness for the Kings, with just three players shooting above league average, while the team shoots 35.2% from deep.
*minimum 10 games played
Toronto Raptors vs. Sacramento Kings bottom line:
Toronto has played 15 times this season with at least two starters missing, and has missed core bench contributors through the last few weeks as well.
It made no difference in the Bay as the Raptors dished 42 assists, had amazing ball movement, and in an outlier connected on 62% of their 3-pointers (21-34).

Raptors Kings Free Pick: Raptors -4.5
Here is my Raptors Kings free pick.
With Darko Rajakovic putting Jamal Shead in the starting rotation, it’s allowed Immanuel Quickley to be more of a spot-up shooter, and it’s paying dividends.
RJ Barrett is supposed to return for this match, but let’s see if the coach keeps Shead in the starting rotation and goes small.
Domantas Sabonis is back, but will the Kings play him on consecutive nights? He came in off the bench on Tuesday playing 17 minutes, so it feels like he’ll be out for Wednesday.
Injuries will continue to plague the Raps, however, as Jakob Poeltl remains out, he’s joined by rookie sensation Collin Murray-Boyles, who has taken a step recently, joining him with a thumb sprain. They are both listed as game time decisions (as are JaKobe Walter and RJ Barrett).
That leaves the front court pretty thin, but with Domantas Sabonis possibly out for injury management, I like Toronto to replicate its effort from Tuesday and win this match.
