Game four of the first round series between the Toronto Raptors and Orlando Magic tips off on Sunday, April 21 at 7:00 PM EST. Toronto took back the home court advantage with a low scoring 98-93 victory in Orlando on Friday night.
Toronto Raptors
Following a dominant and clinical 37 point Game 2 performance, Kawhi Leonard who was still ailing from the flu and a refocused Magic defensive game plan had a far less efficient night. In spite of this, Leonard still produced 16 points and 10 rebounds.
It mattered little, however, as Pascal Siakam served notice on why he should win the Most Improved Player award via a star-turning performance.
Siakam joined Leonard and Lowry with one of three Raptors double-doubles featuring 30 points and 11 rebounds behind a highly efficient 65% field goal and 75% perimeter efficiency with zero turnovers.

Kyle Lowry registered an offensive game falling somewhere between the two previous contests but his clutch time hustle rebound ended any shot of an Orlando comeback.
Toronto played aggressive defense but paid the price via foul trouble as virtually every top defender struggled to garner favor from the officials who gave the Magic a 23-10 edge (with two Toronto free throws coming at game end).

Injuries: Chris Boucher is questionable for Sunday availability due to back spasms. OG Anunoby (appendectomy) will miss the entire series.
Orlando Magic
Hosting their first playoff match in seven seasons the Amway Center was loud and enthusiastically cheered on their home team fueling several Orlando comeback attempts.
Nikola Vucevic broke out of his shooting slump producing his best game by far in the series with 22 points 14 rebounds, and 6 assists. Most of his damage came in the second half specifically when Marc Gasol got in foul trouble.
Orlando stayed close in the match via a friendly home town whistle which they delivered on missing only one of 23 attempts.

Game 1 the Magic shot 40.0% from the field and 48.3% from deep while Game 2 the Raptors smothering defense resulted in massive drop-offs to 37%, and 26.5% respectively.
And, while the Magic rebounded from the charity stripe once again they regressed from the field shooting 36.2% and shot a marginally improved 29.5% from the perimeter.
Injuries: Markelle Fultz (Thoracic outlet syndrome), Mo Bamba (stress fracture left tibia) and Timofey Mozgov (arthroscopic surgery, right knee) are all expected to remain out the entire series.
NBA Betting Trends:
- Magic are 6-3-1 ATS in their last 10
- Raptors are 7-3 in last 10 head to head
- The over-under is 2-8 in team’s last 10 head to head matchups
Free Orlando Magic vs. Toronto Raptors NBA Prediction:
Through three games the Raptors haven’t curried any favor from the officials ranking last in the postseason with a mere 13.7 average attempts. It seems unlikely this drastic of an advantage will continue as the series progresses.
Likewise, the Magic who boasted the top defense through the stretch won’t just concede and therefore will be eager to even the series to ensure another game at Amway.
4* Free NBA Playoff Betting Pick: Raptors ATS
Through three games if there is one area the Magic dominated it’s their bench production where they have outscored the Raptors 96-68 (+9.4 per game). Ultimately, Nick Nurse may elect to tweak his rotations to offset that advantage.
Couple that with another day for Kawhi Leonard to recuperate and I suspect the Raptors will return home up 3-1 seeking the gentleman’s sweep.
