Tuesday serves up a light NBA slate of six games, including the Toronto Raptors traveling to Michigan to take on the East’s top-ranked Detroit Pistons.
Toronto last played on Sunday, absolutely crushing the Orlando Magic 139-87. Despite missing Brandon Ingram, Immanuel Quickley, Collin Murray-Boyles and Jamison Battle the Raps won by 52 points.
Eight Raps scored in double figures, led by Scottie Barnes, who was spectacular, taking the top defensive assignment and holding Banchero to nine points while he served up a double-double of 23 points and 15 assists, plus five rebounds and three steals.
Detroit is completing a back-to-back set, having lost 110-114 in overtime to the OKC Thunder. The Pistons limped into this match and did well to force overtime with six players scoring in double figures. Paul Reed led the way with 21 points and 10 rebounds for his double-double.

Toronto has six players who are questionable, including RJ Barrett, Quickley, Ingram, and Murray -Boyles.
When the Raptors drafted Scottie Barnes there were visions of him being the primary ballhandler. During the absence of Quickley they got a better idea of what that would look like with Barnes dishing double-digit dimes in each contest and serving up a career-best 15 assists versus the Magic.
This is a bit of a coin toss given the uncertainty of who’ll dress. Still, it’s hard to ignore a 52-point beatdown and how great the Raptors offense has looked with Barnes running the point.
With that, I’ll take the points because Toronto will be more desperate to collect the win and has looked solid in their last few outings.
