Sunday, November 24th finds the Toronto Raptors facing the Cleveland Cavaliers for the second of four meetings this season. The teams met on opening night with Cleveland pounding the Dinos 136-106.
Toronto arrives on the heels of their first consecutive wins having bested the Wolves 110-105 on Thursday while the Cavaliers recovered from their first loss of the season with a commanding 128-100 victory versus the Pelicans on Wednesday.
Season Series
Last season the Cavaliers took two of the three regular-season matchups and also hold the all-time record between the clubs with 57 victories in 108 matches.

Toronto Raptors
Here comes the broken record segment… I’ve repeatedly noted this Raptors squad is better than their record. Case in point – – more than half (7 of 12 and two in overtime) of their 12 losses were by six points or less.
Factor in all but four opponents they’ve played were in the 2024 playoffs (plus Kings x2 – who were in the play-in). And, perhaps the most obvious consideration is Toronto’s Big 3 (Scottie Barnes, Immanuel Quickley & RJ Barrett) have yet to play together this season.

Raptors Stats
Toronto ranks 18th on offense (111.6) and 23rd on defense (116.6) (but rank ninth in the last five games) while they offer a minus -5.0 net differential registering in a tie for 22nd overall.
The Raptors are also a deceivingly good bet against the spread with an 11-5 record through sixteen matches.
Raptors Injury Report
To summarize the injury report…
- Immanuel Quickly, PG (OUT indefinitely — elbow)
- Bruce Brown, PG (OUT indefinitely — knee)
- Kelly Olynyk, C (OUT indefinitely—back)
- Bruno Fernando, C (day to day — ankle)
- D.J. Carton, PG (questionable— ankle)
Cleveland Cavaliers
While the Cavaliers have the best record in the Association they lost to the one team that eventually could stand between them and a trip to the finals.
They wasted no time getting immediately back on track with a resounding victory over the Pels as Kenny Atkinson has completely removed any questions about playing the twin Cavs (Mobley and Allen) or two diminutive guards (Garland, Mitchell).
Cavaliers Stats
Through this point in the season, Cleveland ranks first offensively (123.0), and 10th defensively (111.3) with a plus +11.7 net differential that also ranks first overall.
Like their record, Cleveland’s performance against the spread is impressive with a 13-4 record this season.
Cavaliers Injury Report
To summarize the injury report…
- Caris LeVert, SF (OUT —knee)
- Max Strus, SG (OUT—ankle)
- Dean Wade, PG (OUT —ankle)
- Isaac Okoro, SF (day to day — ankle)
- Emoni Bates, F (OUT — torn meniscus)

- Also, the Raptors are 4-16 SU in their last 20 games.

- The total has gone OVER in 5 of Cleveland’s last 5 games.

Free NBA Prediction:
After missing 11 games Scottie Barnes returned for the Raptors and made an immediate impact while RJ Barrett and Jakob Poeltl have been feasting over the last five games.
That said, comparatively the Cavs have more depth and overall healthier core active so the Cavs should get the victory – – just don’t expect the Raptors to make it easy.
