Free Toronto Raptors vs. Cleveland Cavaliers NBA Prediction:
Thursday, January 30th, the Toronto Raptors face the Cleveland Cavaliers in the clubs’ third meeting of the 2019-20 season. Toronto won both contests played on December 16th (133-113) and December 31st (117-97).
Last season, the teams played four times with Toronto taking three of the four contests. The Knicks hold the all-time record having bested the Cavaliers in 49 of their 92 matches
Toronto Raptors
With the 130-115 victory over Atlanta combined with the Celtics defeat of the Heat, the Raptors reclaimed the second seed in the East.

Just as the Raptors got healthy they get hit again. Recently Patrick McCaw’s nose was broken by an inadvertent elbow and Rondae Hollis-Jefferson turned his ankle badly in San Antonio.
Tuesday served up two more injuries as Marc Gasol left the game citing hamstring tightness on the same leg that caused him to miss a month of action. Plus OG Anunoby reached back to block a pass and hurt his shoulder.
Although there was no update postgame on the severity of either injury, logically the team will exercise caution.
The big news versus the Hawks wasn’t that Vince Carter was back in the house but that Kyle Lowry became the All-Time assists leader for the franchise surpassing Jose Calderon with the bench going crazy in celebration.
In the win over the Hawks Lowry (12 points, 11 assists, eight rebounds) and Serge Ibaka (24 points, 10 rebounds) both delivered double-doubles while Pascal Siakam came one rebound shy of joining them also scoring 24.
Fred VanVleet (19), Terence Davis (15) and Gasol (10) were the other double-figure contributors.
As noted Gasol (hamstring) and Anunoby (shoulder), Hollis-Jefferson (ankle) and McCaw (nose) are all questionable.
Team leaders feature Pascal Siakam (23.8 points), Kyle Lowry (7.4 assists) and Fred VanVleet (2.0 steals). OG Anunoby (5.5 rebounds), Chris Boucher (0.9 blocks) and Serge Ibaka for field goal percentage (50.7%).
Cleveland Cavaliers
Leading into the match the Cavaliers last played Tuesday in an 111-125 loss versus the New Orleans Pelicans.
Larry Nance Jr. delivered a double-double of 17 points and 11 rebounds. Nance Jr. has played eight games since returning from injury and has double-doubles in four of his last five games.
Collin Sexton led the scoring for his team with 24 points while Kevin Love added 12. Kevin Porter Jr. was expected to be out until late February with a sprained knee but is back and scored 21 in the match.
Team leaders are Collin Sexton for scoring (19.5) and steals (1.0), while Darius Garland tops assists (3.6). Tristan Thompson leads three stat categories including rebounds (10.3), field goal percentage (51.5%) and blocks (0.9).
Brandon Knight (knee) and Ante Zizic (illness) are both out and Dylan Windler (shin) is expected to miss the season.
NBA Betting Trends:
- The teams are 5-5 last 10 head to head
- Cavaliers are 6-4 in ATS in their last 10
- Over Under is 7-3 in team’s last 10 head to head matchups
- Raptors are 6-2 ATS in their last 8 games overall.
Free Toronto Raptors vs. Cleveland Cavaliers NBA Prediction:
The opening line of 0.5 had me salivating but the updated line of 9.5 is more logical. During the eight-game winning streak, the Raptors offense has exploded averaging 122.3 points Toronto hasn’t lost on the road since January 2nd in Miami and also owns a seven-game road winning streak.
Meanwhile, the Cavaliers ended a seven-game losing skid but have won just three times in the last 16 games.
4* Free NBA Betting Pick: Raptors -9.5
With Toronto potentially down four core contributors and playing the first night of a back-to-back that finishes in Detroit on Friday look for the Raptors to take care of business early.
