Monday, December 9th finds the Toronto Raptors and Chicago Bulls playing for the second time this year with the Raptors having won 108-84 on October 26.
Toronto swept the four games last season and are on a current 10-game winning streak versus Chicago. The Bulls hold the all-time record having bested the Raptors in 48 of their 90 matches.

Although Toronto welcomed back Serge Ibaka and Kyle Lowry the losing coincided with their return which could be one of two things. Either the players who were carrying the load with those two players out are tired or re-integrating everyone messed up the flow and rhythm.
Pascal Siakam has definitely been off this past week and Fred VanVleet got hurt in the Rockets game, gave it a go in the game Sunday at Philly but had to leave due to a knee contusion.
Although the Raptors made a late surge the game in Philly was never as close as the final score might indicate. Five Raptors hit double-figure scoring with Kyle Lowry registering the top mark of 26 points.
The loss overshadowed a solid all round effort by OG Anunoby who collected a 19 point, 10 rebound double-double. Siakam (16), Rondae Hollis-Jefferson (12) and Serge Ibaka (12) were the other double-figure contributors.
Siakam leads the team in scoring (24.6 points) and rebounding (8.5). Fred VanVleet is the leader for assists (7.0) and steals (2.0). OG Anunoby holds the team’s best field goal percent (52.5) and Marc Gasol is the top block man with 1.0 per game.
VanVleet’s knee contusion has left his participation in the match Monday in question. Patrick McCaw (knee) and Stanely Johnson (groin) are expected back mid December while Matt Thomas (broken finger) is out until the end of the month
Chicago Bulls
The Bulls have been a Jekyll and Hyde team all season with solid defeats of the Kings and Grizzlies follwed by consecutive losses to the Warriors and Heat. The issue is knowing which version of the club will show up.
The good news is Zach LaVine and Lauri Markkanen seem to have figured out how they can both excel offensively on the floor together.

In the loss to the Heat six Bulls scored in double-figures with Markkanen leading the way via 22 points and seven rebounds. LaVine (18), Kris Dunn (16), Thaddeus Young (12), Coby White (11) and Denzel Valentine (11) were the other five contributors.
On the season, LaVine is the team leader in scoring (22.3), Tomas Satoransky tops the ladder for assists (5.2). Wendell Carter Jr. leads rebounding (10.0), field goal percent (56.6) and blocks (0.8) while Dunn leads the steals category (2.0).
Chandler Hutchison has a right shoulder sprain which has kept him out the past five outings and remains questionable for Monday.
Otto Porter has missed the last 15 games and is out indefinitely with a left foot sprain. Christiano Felicio is expected to be out until January due to a non-displaced fracture of the trapezoid bone in his right wrist.
