The second team who can sweep on Sunday is the Toronto Raptors who’ll face the Brooklyn Nets in their first night match of the series.
Toronto Raptors
The Raptors started the weekend with news head coach had won the Coach of the Year award as voted on by the media. His team will look to deliver a franchise first series sweep.
Everything was humming in the Raptors 117-92 win in a game the Raptors led from tip to buzzer. It was a masterclass by the Raptors who dominated on the defensive end and capitalized offensively because of that effort.
Fred VanVleet continued his consistent assault closing the half with a shot sent up from well behind the half-court line. He finished with 22 points.
Pascal Siakam had his best overall game producing 26 points, five assists, and eight rebounds. Kyle Lowry (11 points, 10 rebounds) was three assists shy of a triple-double but joined teammate Serge Ibaka who also delivered a double-double of 20 points and 13 rebounds.
Norman Powell (11 points) was the other double-figure contributor.
Rondae Hollis-Jefferson missed Game 3 with a swollen knee and is questionable for Sunday.
Brooklyn Nets
Without Joe Harris available the Nets simply have too high of a mountain to climb. Each game the Raptors have systematically taken a Nets player out of the equation.
In Game 3 that player was Jarrett Allen (perhaps his “we can win whenever we want” statement found it’s way to the Raptors locker room) who didn’t get a single field goal attempt off. The Nets big man powered through collecting 17 rebounds and got four points at the line.
Caris LeVert has dealt with a variety of defenders and taken what the defense has given him scoring 15 in this match. LeVert has established himself throughout this series as a valuable player and will either be a quality third option to the Nets superstars or a highly coveted asset.
The player who got the freedom to shoot in this match was Tyler Johnson who was happy to oblige scoring 23 points. Chris Chiozza (14) and Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot (10) were the other double-figure scorers.

Free Toronto Raptors vs. Brooklyn Nets NBA Prediction:
Nets coach Jacque Vaughn employed a strategy to get up over 50 perimeter shots in Game 3 but the Raptors defended it well allowing 16 of 51 while Toronto scored 18 on 38 attempts.
The faces on the Nets bench at the end of Game 3 told the story and seemingly implied the white flag had been raised.
4* Free NBA Betting Pick: Nets +13
Hat tip to the Nets players who battled throughout this series but they ran up against the defending champs who are the epitome of the never give up identity. This is over today – it’s just a matter of how much the Raptors win by.
This match could be tricky, however, as it wouldn’t be surprising for the Raptors starters to get out to be lead early and then have Nurse insert his reserves to finish the match which could affect the final score and 13 points is a lot to play with under those circumstances.
***NOTE*** In case you missed it…When the 2020 NBA 16-team playoff field is set, the NBA Playoffs will proceed in a traditional conference-based format with four rounds and best-of-seven series in each round. The 2020 NBA Finals will end no later than Oct. 13.
