Like the prior opponent, the Raptors will have their hands full against the Spurs’ depth and talent. San Antonio offers quality defense that will prove difficult to score on, particularly at the rim where Wemby roams. For that reason, the Raps sat Jakob Poeltl on Tuesday so he’d be rested to play on Wednesday.
There are lessons to learn from the game in Detroit, such as Wemby often serving as a decoy in the offense, which Toronto could game plan for by guarding one-on-one.
I think Toronto will give it the old college try, but the Spurs are simply too hot to bet against. Take them to win and cover.
