Free San Antonio Spurs vs. Oklahoma City Thunder NBA Prediction:
Sunday, February 23rd, the San Antonio Spurs face the Oklahoma City Thunder in the club’s fourth and final meeting of the season. The Spurs are up two games to one this season.
Last season, the teams played three times with the Spurs winning two of three contests. The Spurs hold the all-time record having bested the Thunder in 96 of their 173 matches.
San Antonio Spurs
Gregg Popovich had his team ready for the first game post All-Star break as they marched into Utah and collected a big win in a tough venue.
They’ll need to string together many more victories if the Spurs want to keep their streak of postseason appearances on track. San Antonio hasn’t missed the playoffs in 22 seasons.

In the win, guard Dejounte Murray continued to showcase his growth with 23 points, seven rebounds and four steals. He’s been tasked by Popovich to be more aggressive offensively and accepted the challenge.
San Antonio won via balanced scoring with DeMar DeRozan (18), LaMarcus Aldridge (15), Patty Mills (15), Derrick White (14) and Bryn Forbes (13) all collecting double-figures.
This was a positive sign for the Spurs who began the annual Rodeo trip with five consecutive losses but have won the last two games. In fact, it was the Thunder who they beat to snap the losing streak.
DeRozan leads the team in scoring (22.9) assists (5.2) and field goal percentage (53.2%). Aldridge tops rebounds (7.6) and blocks (1.6) while Dejounte Murray is the steals leader (1.7).
The Spurs are fully healthy with no one on the injured list.
Oklahoma City Thunder
The hottest team in the Western Conference since December 9th is the Thunder. They continue to surprise their counterparts winning a majority of their games in the clutch portion of the match.
They returned from the break to get right back to action by registering a big win over the Denver Nuggets. It was only their second win over Denver in the last 10 meetings.
Like the Spurs they won via a balanced scoring attack. Steven Adams delivered one of his best games of the season looking sharp from the rest he got over the break. The Big Kiwi delivered a double-double of 19 points and 17 rebounds and also snagged four steals for the second game in a row.
Chris Paul led the way both literally and figuratively scoring 29 points while Shai Gilgeous-Alexander was a single rebound and assist shy of a triple-double (11 points, nine rebounds, nine assists).
Danilo Gallinari (15), Luguentz Dort (11), Dennis Schroder (11) and Nerlens Noel (10) all chipped in double-figure scores.
On the season, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander tops the scoring (19.3 points) and Chris Paul is the leader in assists (6.6) and steals (1.5) categories. Rebounding is lead by Steven Adams (9.4) as is field goal percentage (58.0%) and Nerlens Noel is tops for blocks (1.5).
Deonte Burton (illness) is questionable. Darius Bazley (knee) is out until late March. Andre Roberson (knee) has yet to play this season.
NBA Betting Trends:
