The Jazz are one of the hottest teams in the league and it’s happening at the perfect time of year. Utah has won six straight games heading into Friday and have goen an impressive 9-1 over their last 10.
The Kings shouldn’t figure to be much of an obstacle in this one. Their backcourt has slowed a bit and the fast pace that was a Sacramento trademark earlier in the year seems to have worn them out as the 2018/19 season comes to an end.

Another reason the Kings are going to be a hard team to wager on for Friday is because they’ll be playing on consecutive nights after a visit from Cleveland on Thursday. The Kings up-tempo game doesn’t lend itself to having success on 0 days rest.
If the Kings are able to upend the Cavs on Thursday, they could have extra motivation vs. Utah as a win over the Jazz would bring their record to .500 on the season.
It’s already been a year of improvement as Sacramento is currently in 9th place in the West. That’s still 6.5 off the pace for what would have been a wild card berth however.

The usage for Sacramento on Thursday is something to very much keep an eye on. They could go for broke in a very winnable game vs. Cleveland and ultimately sacrifice a blowout loss to the Jazz on Friday in the process.
Marvin Bagley III could even sit out the Utah game altogether as he did on Sundav vs. the Spurs when the Kings were playing on consecutive nights. If Bagley sits, Buddy Hield is going to have to shoulder a lot of scoring and do so while fatigued.

Hield will have to be great for Sacramento to keep things close because PG De’Aaron Fox has really hit a wall lately. Fox has scored just 9 points and 12 points in the last two games.
The Kings being on the road doesn’t help things either. The lost 4 of 5 going away last week and are just 15-24 away from the Golden 1 Center on the year.
Utah Jazz
The Jazz have been a great play lately not only because they are 9-1 over their last 10, but because they whoop up on teams even when the spread is up there.
Utah beat Phoenix by 21 on Wednesday, the Lakers by 15 last week, the Suns by 33 and the Bulls by 31 in consecutive games on March 23rd and 25th.

Donovan Mitchell and Rudy Gobert have formed a dominant duo that is going to make Utah a tough out in the playoffs. Mitchell has gone for 25+ points in three straight and Gobert has grabbed at least 14 rebounds in 4 of 6.
One thing to remember about how good Mitchell and Gobert have been lately is that it’s been in limited minutes as Utah has been out to big leads over their opponents. They get in and get to business early – which is bad news for the Kings.
