It’s been a successful year for Sacramento, but ultimately they will fall short of a .500 record and will also miss the postseason as they’ve done every year since 2006. The Kings will wrap up their season Wednesday in Portland.

It might seem weird that Portland is a -8 favorite Wednesday considering they’d be wise to rest their starters. Sacramento on the other hand can go full bore one last time before cleaning out their lockers and beginning their offseason vacations.

Oddsmakers are expecting some points to be scored tonight with an O/U of 230.5. The Kings defense, or lack thereof, is a major reason as they’ve given up 130+ points in 2 of their last 4.
Portland Trail Blazers
One big question for Portland backers on Wednesday is how much Damian Lillard will we see? He played 35 minutes Tuesday vs. the Lakers but could he sit altogether on a back to back before a tough series with Utah commences?
A very positive note for Portland is that CJ McCollum has returned for the last two but is still only averaging 10 ppg since coming back. McCollum 29 minutes vs. the Lakers but his usage could be monitored after still being fresh off the injury list with a knee injury.

The loss of Jusuf Nurkic obviously hurts Portland immensely but they’ve found a few cogs to fill in at the C spot. Enes Kanter has scored 20+ points in five of six while also grabbing 11+ rebounds in five games over that span.
Portland has won 8 of 10 overall coming into this contest They could actually move up into the 3 seed with a win or even the 2 seed depending on what Denver does against Minnesota.
