The Knicks have been playing better lately. Granted they are on a 4-game losing streak but they still have 2 wins in the last two weeks which for New York is quality play. Three of those four losses were on the road and the Knicks are in a good spot for a win back home on Saturday.
The Kings have a tough go of it thanks to the 12PM EST start time on Saturday from Madison Square Garden. Sacramento is one of the few teams in the West that can climb back into the playoff picture (currently 9th) but they are running out of daylight to do so.

Sacramento just finished a disappointing home stand in which they went 1-3. Sure the three losses came against playoff teams in Milwaukee, the Clippers, and Boston but the Kings would have loved at least a split, especially if the win would have came against the Clippers who currently hold the 8 seed in the West.

At least Sacramento’s lone win on their home stretch was against these Knicks, 115-`108 on Monday. The Kings were -11 favorites in that contest though and New York was playing on 0 days rest after a contest with the Clippers on Sunday.
Buddy Hield had a great game last time out vs. New York with 28 points and Harrison Barnes added 22. The Knicks kind of dominated in the front court though as Willie Cauley-Stein was held to 9 points and 7 rebounds. Sacramento really missed Marvin Bagley III in that game although they did still get a 7 point win.

The biggest issue the Kings face in this one is probably going to be the travel. Sacramento is playing their first road game in almost two weeks and has the early start time which can make a West Coast team look pretty flat. The Kings are a 12-18 team on the road this year.
New York Knicks
The Knicks have come back to Earth a bit losing four in a row after a stretch in which they somehow won 3 out of 4. Those wins came at the Garden and were both impressive, a 130-118 win over the Spurs and a 5 point win over an Orlando squad trying to make a postseason berth.
New York plays a lot of players lately which is good for depth, but it’s also hard for establishing a rhythm. In Wednesday’s loss ot Philadelphia 9 New York players logged at least 14 minutes but the high scorer was Deandre Jordan with 17.

Depth is actually going to be key for the Knicks vs. a Kings team that likes to push the pace (3rd in possessions per game). Can the New York defense that has allowed 125+ points in 2 of the last 4 games slow down the Kings top 10 scoring offense however?
