Perhaps this will be an entertaining match as both clubs may try to lose for tanking purposes, which is sort of pathetic. On the other hand, pride is at stake, and losing to a team on a 16-game losing streak and conversely one with three wins in 14 tries isn’t an ideal position to be in either.
Suffice it to say, this match could get ugly quickly.
Although we’ll have to wait until the offseason, you have to wonder if Memphis will continue to try to move Ja Morant or will decide to build around him again since his stock is so low at the moment.
Both teams have shut down players for the season (injuries), which makes them prime fodder to lose. But since each squad is missing core talent, I’ll roll with the hometown team to win and cover.
