Free Sacramento Kings vs. Memphis Grizzlies NBA Prediction:
Friday, February 28th, the Sacramento Kings face the Memphis Grizzlies in the clubs’ fourth and final meeting of the season. The Grizzlies won the initial match on December 21st (119-115) while the Kings won January 2nd (128-123) and February 20th (129-125).
Last season, the teams played four times with the Kings winning three of four matches. The Kings hold the all-time record having bested the Grizzlies in 51 of their 92 matches

The Kings will be playing the second game of a back to back set having played versus the Thunder on the front side of the set.

Prior to the game in OKC the Kings had won three in a row and six of their last eight matches. The three games featured wins versus the Grizzlies, Clippers, and Warriors.
The last win came in Golden State with six players scoring in double-figures. De’Aaron Fox and Harrison Barnes led the way with each scored 21 points to lead the way.
The quartet of Buddy Hield (19), Bogdan Bogdanovic (17), Harry Giles (13) and Cory Joseph (11) were the other double-figure contributors.
On the season the team leaders are Buddy Hield for scoring (21.0) while De’Aaron Fox tops assists (6.9) and steals (1.4). Richaun Holmes leads the way for rebounding (8.5), field goal percentage (66.0%) and blocks (1.4).
De’Aaron Fox is hampered by a shoulder injury and slight groin strain but is expected to play in both games of the back-to-back set.
The Kings provided an update on Richaun Holmes citing a labral shoulder tear which will keep him out until early March. That’s the same cited return date for Alex Len who is out due to a right hip flexor strain.
Marvin Bagley III (foot) will be out until mid-March.
Memphis Grizzlies
While the Kings are on a terror finally playing like they did last season, the Grizzlies are on the opposite end of the spectrum suddenly reeling.
Memphis surprised everyone by their early ascent into relevance but have lost four in a row and are in jeopardy of losing the eighth seed they’ve held for months.
The most recent loss came at the hands of the Houston Rockets who beat Memphis 140-112. In the loss, Jonas Valanciunas registered a 16 point, 10 rebound double-double.
Dillon Brooks led the scoring for the Grizzlies with 22 points. Meanwhile, rookie Ja Morant produced 12 points and nine rebounds and Gorgui Dieng chipped in 10 points as the only other double-figure contributor.
On the season the team leaders are Ja Morant for points (17.5), assists (6.8) and steals (0.9), Jonas Valanciunas for rebounds (10.5), Brandon Clarke for field goal percent (62.3%) and Jackson Jr. for blocks (1.6).
Coinciding with the losing streak is the team dealing with injuries to their core including Jaren Jackson Jr who is out until mid-March with a knee sprain. Brandon Clarke will also miss at least two weeks with a right quadriceps injury.
Justise Winslow (lower back bruise) is out indefinitely and Grayson Allen (hip) is out for the remainder of the season.
NBA Betting Trends:
- The Kings are 6-4 in last 10 head to head
- The teams are 5-5 ATS in their last 10
- Over Under is 5-5 in team’s last 10 head to head matchups
Free Sacramento Kings vs. Memphis Grizzlies NBA Prediction:
Last season’s Cinderella squad meets this season’s version with the former now in the spoiler role and the latter reeling due to injury.
Given the Kings play the night prior in OKC I also like the under on this game.
