Saturday, April 9th, 2022 finds the Sacramento Kings and LA Clippers playing for the fourth and final meeting this season.
The Kings lead the regular-season series 2-1 with victories on December 1st (24-115) and 4th (104-99) while the Clippers took the December 22nd match (105-89).
The Kings last played on Tuesday losing 109-123 to the Pelicans while the Clippers played Wednesday in a winning 113-109 effort versus the Suns.
Both teams are finishing their regular-season schedule on a back-to-back set with Sacramento in Phoenix and LA hosting the Thunder on Sunday.
Last season, the squads played three times with each Clippers taking two of the three contests. The Kings hold the all-time record having bested the Clipper in 119 of their 219 matches.
Sacramento Kings
When the Kings returned from the All-Star break they stumbled losing 10 of the initial 13 games which essentially ended their season.
While Domantas Sabonis was fitting in well following his trade to Sacramento the young club needed more time to develop their chemistry.

As they wrap up the season this weekend and once again revisit the drawing board there are tough decisions to be made in the offseason to figure out how the Kings can change their fortunes and get back to relevance.
De’Aaron Fox (hand) and Alex Len (back) are questionable for Saturday. Domantas Sabonis (knee) and Terence Davis (wrist) are out indefinitely. Richaun Holmes (personal) is done for the season.
LA Clippers
Of all the teams who vied for a playoff or play-in berth, the Clippers knew eons ago they would have the eighth seed meaning they would get two opportunities to nab either the seventh or eighth playoff seed.
With the return of Paul George and Norman Powell, it bolstered the belief of the Clippers that they could upset one of the upper-tier clubs.
No doubt, the goal of the Clippers’ head coach will be to earn the seventh seed since the Grizzlies are untested and young whereas the Suns have been the cream of the NBA crop this season and are led by wily vet Chris Paul.
Luke Kennard (hamstring) was upgraded to probable for Saturday. Jason Preston (foot) and Kawhi Leonard (knee) are out indefinitely. Jay Scrubb (toe) is lost for the season.
