Sacramento Kings vs. Charlotte Hornets bottom line:
Only one team arrives with anything on the line as the Kings are secure in their bottom seed, whereas the Hornets are in a dog fight for positioning on the ladder in the East.
Charlotte has the 10th most difficult remaining strength of schedule, with 11 games remaining. Just four of those games occur on the road, but they’ll face eight clubs currently seeded as playoff or play-in squads.

Kings Hornets Free Pick: Kings +17
Here is my Kings Hornets free pick.
Charlotte has become one of my favorite League Pass watches as they continue to grow and develop on both sides of the court.
While they are capable of putting up a load of points and can bury you from the perimeter, it’s their advances defensively that make them such a great watch.
Since the All-Star break, the Hornets are 11-5, but have failed to climb any higher on the ladder. Only 2.5 games separate seeds five through 10, so anything can happen down the stretch.
Facing a team that has nothing to lose has its benefits and disadvantages. On one hand, they can play freely, not worrying about the pressure of succeeding. On the other hand, if the Kings fall behind early, they have no incentive to push for the win.
Ultimately, I’m rolling with the points and the Kings to keep it closer than the 17 points.
