Free Portland Trail Blazers vs. Phoenix Suns NBA Prediction:
Friday, March 6th, the Portland Trail Blazers face the Phoenix Suns in the clubs’ third meetings of the season. Each team has a win with the Blazers winning December 16th (111-110) and the Suns winning on December 30th (122-116).
Last season, the teams played three times with the Blazers sweeping the series. The Suns hold the all-time record having bested the Blazers in 121 times in their 228 meetings.
Portland Trail Blazers
The Blazers did their best to hang on while their superstar was sidelined with a groin injury but struggled registering a 2-4 record.
With Damian Lillard return Portland is 3.5 games back of the Grizzlies and has 19 games left to play.

His presence was motivating as four of the five starters scored 20 or more points in the 125-104 victory over the Wizards.
Carmelo Anthony led the charge with 25 points while Hassan Whiteside produced a double-double of 24 points and 16 rebounds.
CJ McCollum who did his best to carry the club in Lillard’s absence mirrored his backcourt partner with each scoring 22 points and dishing five dimes. Trevor Ariza was the only starter to fall short of 20 points but did collect 15 to reach double figures.
The Blazers tied the last quarter but won every other frame for a solid victory.
Two starters lead all the stat categories with Damian Lillard topping scoring (29.4 points), assists (7.9) and steals (1.0). Hassan Whiteside tops rebounds (14.2), field goal percentage (61.2%), and blocks (3.1).
Portland is hoping to get Zach Collins (shoulder) back in the middle of the month and hopefully Jusuf Nurkic (leg) in time to help with their playoff bid.
Rodney Hood (Achilles is lost for the season).
Phoenix Suns
Monty Williams elected to run with a short bench as eight players got playing time versus the Raptors which worked initially as the Suns grabbed an early 39-30 lead.
But that was the last quarter the Suns won as Toronto locked in defensively and took advantage of any mismatches despite missing both centers.
The Raptors put Pascal Siakam and OG Anunoby on Deandre Ayton (13 points, 14 rebounds) who was one of three Suns who collected double-doubles.
Devin Booker (22 points, 10 assists) and Ricky Rubio (16 points, 10 assists) were the others to meet the benchmark.
Rookie Cameron Johnson had a strong performance with 22 points joining Dario Saric (16), Mikal Bridges (12) and Jevon Carter (11) with double-digit scoring.
Team leaders feature Devin Booker for scoring (25.9 points), Ricky Rubio for assists (8.8), and steals (1.5). Deandre Ayton tops rebounds (12.0), blocks (1.6) and field goal percentage (54.8%) categories.
Cameron Johnson is suffering from an illness that will rule him out versus the Blazers. Deandre Ayton hurt his foot at the end of the game versus Toronto falling awkwardly. Ayton is in a walking boot so he is doubtful to play Friday.
Kelly Oubre Jr. had surgery to repair the torn meniscus in his right knee with the team advising he’ll be out at least a month. Frank Kaminsky (right patella stress fracture) will be out of action until mid-March.
