Portland Trail Blazers
Three full days of rest ahead of this game won’t be enough to have Portland as healthy as it needs to be to continue its run of six consecutive seasons in the Western Conference playoffs.
The Blazers are dealing with lots of injuries to guys who were supposed to be key role players, including Rodney Hood (out for the season), Zach Collins (out multiple months), Jusuf Nurkic (out for at least another month or two) and Nasir Little (day-to-day).

Three of those four injuries are serious and they are to the three most important guys on the list. Without adequate depth, Portland is suffering.
It got a win when the Knicks came to the Moda Center but travelled to Denver for a game two days later and got whacked by the Nuggets. The Blazers have two winning streaks all season and neither was more than three games long.
Phoenix Suns
The Suns, meanwhile, lost by a bucket in overtime against the Spurs on Saturday to drop to a season-low three games under .500.

Devin Booker didn’t play with an injured forearm. He’s considered questionable going forward but this isn’t the best time to have a little injury like that. Phoenix plays three games in four days, including Saturday night’s game and the upcoming back-to-back, starting with this game vs Portland.
Aron Baynes, Cameron Johnson and Dario Saric were all on the injury report ahead of the Spurs game but suited up and played.
Ricky Rubio led the shorthanded Suns with twenty-five points and thirteen assists. Frank Kaminsky had twenty-two and Saric had a big game with nineteen points and seventeen rebounds.
DeAndre Ayton has two games left on his drug suspension but that won’t have him back in time for this one.
