If the cliche that a playoff series doesn’t begin until the road team steals a game is true…this series has yet to begin following OKC’s Game 3 victory.
Ahead of Game 3, I projected that the Thunder (7.5-point favorites) would win 122-108. Oklahoma City ended up winning 120-108.
I’ll try to do better this time 🙂
These two teams tip off at 9:30 p.m. ET in Oklahoma City.
Portland Trail Blazers
Damian Lillard had himself a good game overall against OKC in Game 3, but his fourth quarter was underwhelming, which led to Russell Westbrook finally taking a W in the head-to-head battle that has caught the attention of diehard and casual fans across the league.
Lillard needs to get the watch-tapping mentality back because the Blazers are going to need clutch play. This series isn’t likely to give them another blowout win like Game 2, and quite frankly, they recognize that the series isn’t likely to give OKC another blowout win like Game 3.

This series is tight, heated and likely to go 6 or 7 games.
Game 4 should give us yet another glimpse into that.

Oklahoma City Thunder
The Thunder had their best shooting night of the series by a longshot in Game 3.
That was a huge part of why they won, and it’s a big part of why they’re feeling hopeful ahead of not just Game 4 but against a Blazers team in a seven-game series when they’re shorthanded (missing their starting center).
The Thunder, however, need to realize that they’re not likely to shoot that well again. Portland is finally forced to adjust their defensive game plan, and OKC wasn’t a great shooting team during the 2018-19 regular season.
The Thunder should be happy with their last showing—not content.
This team needs to get a better overall game plan in the books, otherwise, we could see them lean on that jumper early and struggle to catch up late.

Free Portland Trail Blazers vs. Oklahoma City Thunder Prediction: Blazers get back on track.
Portland isn’t in any sort of “win or die” situation, but going back home tied 2-2 would be a disappointment.
More importantly, it would be problematic to give up all momentum as Paul George continues to get healthier.
4* Free NBA Playoff Betting Pick: Portland ATS
The Blazers should keep this one closer than the last outing, but I’m taking it one step further.
Damian Lillard gets his signature game of the postseason on the road.
And the Trail Blazers as a team follow suit.
