Free Portland Trail Blazers vs. Memphis Grizzlies NBA Prediction:
The Trail Blazers are coming off a much-needed, dramatic win over the Atlanta Hawks on Monday. Damian Lillard continued his ridiculous streak that earned him Western Conference Player of the Week, and the team is now 3-1 SU in its last four after a pretty rough stretch.
Memphis, on the other hand, is also coming off a nice win, but theirs broke a tough five-game losing streak SU.
Blazers Have Momentum…but Grizzlies Are Bouncing Back
Desmond Bane and Steven Adams being out, in particular, still hurts Memphis. But Ja Morant made it clear with 27 points, 15 assists and 10 rebounds that he and the Grizzlies, at their best, are still on another level than most NBA teams.
Don’t be shocked if Lillard goes off again in this one. After all, he’s averaging 34.5 points per game in January—not to mention a 42.3 PPG average over his last four. He alone is worth watching if you think the Grizzlies’ 5.5-point spread is in trouble.
But even if Dame lights up the building, Memphis has the weapons to beat everyone else in a Trail Blazers jersey—on both ends of the floor.
This one should go to the home team straight up, but I’m taking the points Wednesday night as well.
Grizzlies win convincingly.
